A/N: So, finally another chap! I'm very sorry for any spelling and grammar mistakes but in my defense English is a foreign language to me and I'm pretty drunk while writing it. Sorry for the long wait for those who still follow this story. I may take a while but I promise to finish it. And reviews warm my heart so if you have the time I'd love to read what you think of this story.

"So, is there anything specific you'd like to do this afternoon?" Bruce asked Felicity as they ate the steak and risotto Alfred had served them.

She looked at him and shrugged, "I wasn't sure we'd spend much time together during the day. I know you'll probably be busy working, after all you've been away for a week. I thought I'd just play the tourist and get on one of those tour buses."

He smiled at her, "I do have some work to do but I tried to have most of my meetings yesterday and this morning. I was wondering if you'd like to go to to Wayne Enterprise with me this afternoon and let me show you my company."

Felicity looked at him surprised, "Bruce," she paused not sure how to put her thoughts into words in a nice way. "I don't think anyone in the board would like that idea."

Bruce just waved it off, "Of course they won't like. But you're not a threat to the company so they don't have any legitimate reason to go against it either."

"They could argue-" Felicity started but Bruce interrupted her.

"They won't. They know better."

She sighed, "There is no reason to start a conflict with your board just so I can visit the company. We can do it some other time, when this isn't so new and they are not so suspicious."

Bruce took her hand in his, "We're together and this is not going away; they have to get used to it. If you really don't want to go to it's fine. But I really hope you'll want to see my family's business because I really want to show it to you."

She rolled her eyes at him and he just smiled because they both knew he had put her in a corner.

"Of course I want to see Wayne Enterprise. I've wanted to visit your applied science division before I'd even met you. I mean, obviously it has a whole new meaning now that I know you but you know what I mean," she tried to explain herself.

He chuckled softly and announced, "Yeah, I know what you mean. So it's settled. You're going to spend the afternoon with me at Wayne Enterprise."

She felt like she should be mad at him for playing her but she was just glad he wanted to show her his family's legacy.

They had just stepped out of his incredibly luxurious car in front of the most sought out restaurant in the city and Felicity could hardly contain her grin. She wasn't exactly happy to be photographed next to Bruce by paparazzi but she was very happy with her afternoon overall.

Of course many of the board members had something to say once they heard Bruce had taken Felicity to the grand tour through the company and of course she wasn't welcomed with open arms by most. But it was definitely a fun afternoon. Specially when she met Mr. Fox at the Applied Sciences Division and discussed many of Batman's toys and how to improve them. She complimented his work a lot - and she was truly impressed by it - before making subtle suggestion on how to make it better. She wasn't sure if it was polite but she just wanted to make it safer for Bruce to go back to her.

Mr. Fox was very welcoming and gracious, taking her suggestion with no offence. She thought he was a true scientist, always trying to improve and not caring if the suggestions came from a woman half his age.

By the time he had finished their tour with a longer than expected visit to Mr. Fox her stomach growled and he laughed agreeing it as time to have dinner. She thought they would go back to his apartment and cook something or, hopefully, order something online since she couldn't cook for her life.

But Bruce surprised her once again by driving her to a fancy restaurant that was obviously reserved to the rich and famous. She felt underdressed and unsure as she stepped out of the car and a minute later took Bruce's hands in hers. She hadn't expected to be photographed that night and she was half sure she would put her foot in her mouth in a vey embarrassing way before the night was over. However, Bruce didn't seem worried about it at all, with a genuine smile on his face as he led her inside the restaurant. The maitre was very polite and reserved as he greeted them. He led them to a table in a private section and told them a waiter would soon be with them before excusing himself and sure enough a waiter arrived at their table less than a minute later.

Bruce handed the wine list to Felicity and she took it with a proud smile, choosing something she had never tried before excitedly. The waiter quickly brought them the bottle and she nodded for him to serve them after taking the first sip.

"Wow. You didn't tell me you had booked a table at a fancy place otherwise I'd have dressed up a little," she said looking at the women on the tables around them and knowing her simple purple business dress wasn't a match to the outfit of any woman in the restaurant.

"It was a last minute decision. I thought you might like the place but I didn't book it in advance."

She frowned, "Then how did you get a table here?"

"It's easy to get a table when you own the place."

Her eyebrows rose almost to her hairline. "You own the restaurant?"

He just nodded as he took a sip of his wine.

"Just to be clear, you don't own the whole city, right? Because you own the biggest company in the city and one of biggest in the country and you own a really fancy restaurant that I'm guessing is the hottest place in town and I'm betting these are not your only businesses."

He shrugged, "You knew I was a businessman. And it's no big deal. Now tell me what you thought of the Applied Science Division. I know you were excited about it."

The gleam in her eyes assured him he was right. She started moving her hands around passionately as she described how exciting it was to meet Mr. Fox and how impressed she was with his work.

"You know, he was pretty impressed with you, too. He already thought you were a genius when you were able to crack the pen drive I sent you."

"I wasn't able to crack it in time," she reminded him sadly.

"I gave you too little time and he didn't even know how to start cracking it. And that alone says a lot," he paused resting back on his chair and looking at her adoringly. "He told me I was extremely lucky to find such an amazing woman and that if I know what is good for me I won't let you go. His words."

She blushed and looked down coyly, "Mr. Fox is too nice. I'd love to talk to him again. It'd be a pleasure to hear his thoughts on some of my inventions."

"Inventions?" he asked, not knowing she had inventions of her own.

It was her turn to shrug, "Just some stuff I came up with on my free time. Nothing as sophisticated as what he has created. But still, it'd be an honor to hear his thoughts even if he says it sucks."

"He'd never tell you it sucks. He strongly believes in building thing instead of destroying them. And he also strongly believes in you."

"Me?" she asked incredulous.

"Yes. You. Your talent, your capability. Your kindness and selflessness. Who you really are."

"Bruce, he talked to me for an hour. There is no way he thinks I'm selfless from talking to me for an hour about technology."

He took another sip from his wine to cover his smile, "Maybe not. But he might have an opinion about you from what I told him."

"Oh God. I really hope you didn't talk to him about our intimate time. What am I talking about?" she asked herself, placing a hand on her forehead. "Of course you didn't; you know better than that. You have enough surviving skills to know I'd hack you until you regretted ever coming back to the land of living. Though I'm very grateful you came back so I could meet you." She suddenly paused and frowned, "I think I've already had too much wine in an empty stomach. And I should order something to eat before I babble my way into something I cannot get out of."

"Like what?" he innocently asked, taking advantage of her loose tongue. After all, he was a vigilante, not a saint.

"Like telling you something I will feel mortified for tomorrow morning."

He took her hand in his, "I don't think you have to feel mortified about anything when it comes to me. I think it will be no surprise when I tell you you have stollen my heart."

Her breath caught in her throat and she froze, "Bruce," she started quietly, "don't say things you don't really mean. You can't say these kind of things when you're not sure. They mean something to me."

"Then trust me when I say I mean them."

She shook her head and sighed, "Bruce, it's not that simple. Not only we're from worlds apart but the company that is your family's legacy doesn't trust me. Not only that but we live in different cities and we've met less than a month ago. And if all that wasn't enough, until very recently you were still hung up on your childhood friend. Or ex-girlfriend. I didn't really get what your relationship was, but you know what I mean."

He took both of her hands in his and made her look into his eyes as he addressed her insecurities. "Felicity, I've told you, what Rachel and I had is over. I've moved on to you. And though it pains me to say it, what we have is so much more real," he told her with a sparkle in his eyes that made her believe him. "I know it's not easy but I think we're worth it. The board members don't trust you and you do live in a different city right now, but I think those things are fixable. We can make it work. And yes, we're from worlds apart. You're so smart and innocent and kind; you have a light in you. And I come from a darkness that I wish you'll never know. And it may be selfish of me but since you took an interest on me - for God knows what reason - I'll hold on to you unless you wish to leave me."

Her eyes were glassed with unshed tears at his sweet words, "You know that wasn't what I meant."

He looked seriously at her, "Then I don't know what you were talking about because the only thing that set us apart is that you're so much better than me."

She shook her head with a small smile. "Let's order. I'm starving," she told him glancing down at her menu.

He followed her lead doing the same thing but he could feel her stealing glances at him every few seconds. The night went on with only light subjects and when he drove her back home they spent most of the drive holding hands.

Felicity rolled on the bed and opened her eyes when she didn't bump into Bruce. Her eyes narrowed at the empty spot beside her and she stood up, putting on an oversized tee before going to look for him.

He was sitting in the living room, facing the city in the dark through the floor to ceiling glass walls.

"Hey. What are you doing here?" she asked as she noticed his thoughtful expression.

He looked back at her with a soft smile, "Couldn't sleep."

She approached him and sat on the couch next to his chair, "What's bothering you?"

He sighed, "Tomorrow you're leaving."

"Bruce-"

"I don't want you to go."

She sighed and looked down for a moment before looking back at him. "We knew it would be just for a week. But I can come back and you can visit me, too. Starling isn't so far away."

He shook his head, "That's not the point. I want you by my side all the time. I want you in my bed every night. I want you in the company every day. And I want you to help me be the hero my city needs." He shrugged, "I just want you."

She opened her mouth but no words left her lips. For once in her life Felicity was speechless and she could only stare at this amazing man who just by looking at her could make her feel like she was the only woman in the world.

"Now I totally get Rhianna's song", she blurted out, and Bruce frowned, not following.

She shook her head, as if to clear her mind and bit her lip. "I also don't want to go but… my team needs me. And my life is in Starling…"

"What if your life was here?" he interrupted.

"What?!" she asked with huge shocked eyes.

"Felicity, look, I know I'm throwing a lot on you and this is happening really fast. Maybe too fast. But I'd never forgive myself if I thought I could have done more for our relationship to work."

"Bruce, we're good. We're dating and we're happy- I mean, I'm happy. Incredibly happy. And I really hope you're happy too, because I really don't want to have my heart broken," she rambled.

He caressed her cheek with one hand and pulled her close to kiss her.

"I honestly never thought I could feel this way about someone," he paused. "I just want to talk to you about something before you leave, if that's okay with you."

Felicity cleared her throat and sat back on the couch, trying to calm her racing heart as she tried to pretend to be composed. "Okay, what do you want to talk about?"

"I know how important your team is for you and you're invaluable. But I'd just like you to consider that you're invaluable to me, too. And that I'm offering you to share my life with you. I know it sounds like I'm asking you to give up your life and come live with me but I'm just- I'm offering you another option, one that I hope you find more appealing. Mr. Fox was so impressed with you, he said he thought you'd be the perfect person to take his place as head of Applied Sciences. So, if you want, you have a job in Wayne Enterprises." Felicity opened her mouth to interrupt but Bruce held a hand to stop her, "No matter what our relationship status is, the offer stands. The offer is because you're qualified and talented, not because you're my girlfriend," Bruce cleared up and Felicity closed her mouth.

"About having a mission, Batman also has a mission. It might not be exactly the same but we lean towards the same goal, help those in need to make a better city."

Felicity smiled at that and reached out to take his hand in hers, "You're Gotham's hero. And that's no small thing."

"And about us… I'm all in. Having you here this week made me realize how happy you make me just by being here. And if you decide to come to Gotham, whenever it happens, I'd love it if you chose to come live with me."

Felicity's hand froze on his cheek, "Bruce? Are you crazy?"

He chuckled, "I don't think so."

"We should call Alfred. I'm not sure if you're prone to make impulsive decision or if you hit your head and didn't realize."
"I'm not impulsive and I'm fine. I just know that this is what I want. And if you're not ready for that, it's fine. I'm not rushing you in any way. But if you want it too and you're ready, then I'd love it if you moved in with me."

"We've been together for less than a month!"

"And during that time we spent almost every night and pretty much this whole week together. We're not a normal couple. But that's not a bad thing. I like the way we are."

His words took her by surprise and made her think about their situation in a new way. She knew they weren't a regular couple; he was not only a hero-slash-vigilante but also a famous and handsome billionaire, and she helped him as well as another vigilante to save the city every night.

But she felt that's not what he meant when he mentioned they were not a normal couple. It was more than that; it was them. The way they felt things and saw the world because of their previous experiences, the way they valued every moment they had together and didn't take each other for granted; how they threw themselves in this relationship head first and completely exposed because somehow they knew they would regret it otherwise.

Suddenly she realized that the only thing that made her feel torn was the duty she felt to team Arrow and her heart's desire. What she felt for Bruce made her heart race and she couldn't put him in the back-burner but how could she turn her back on Team Arrow?

"As I said, I don't want to rush you. We can find a place for you or maybe you can stay in another floor in this building or at one of my hotels for as long as you want; and there are also other companies you can work for… Whatever you want," he finished, not sure what would make her more comfortable. "I just want you close."

She looked him in the eye with her heart tearing apart, "I feel…" her throat closed and she couldn't finish the sentence. She swallowed and looked back at him, "I need time Bruce. I get what you mean and I feel the same way but I need time before I can give you an answer."

He just nodded and stood up, taking her hand in his and walked her back to their bed. He would wait for her, but he'd also enjoy as much as he could the time he had with her.
