A/N: And here it is, the final chapter of this story. I thought of how I wanted to end it, but this seemed appropriate enough. Enjoy!

Knowing that he had been out for almost two months; and the entirety of what actually happened to him – safe to say Phil Coulson, badass agent extraordinaire, was quite overwhelmed.

Worst of all was knowing how much Clint was hurting during the time, thinking his husband was dead. And though he was glad Fury did what he did to save Phil, he had his reservations. After all, Phil knew very well how the subjects of Project TAHITI ended up with time. But for now, he would let his husband hold him, and be surrounded by his friends, and not think about what might be waiting for them in the future.

After a while the doctor who was in charge of the facility; as well as Coulson's well being came to check on his patient. Clint, Tony and Banner asked him every question they could think of (How is Phil doing? Can they take him back home? Are there any complications they should be aware of? When can they take Phil home?)

The doctor, to his credit, managed to answer all their questions without sweating too much. Phil's body needed rest, it needed to recuperate. They could take him back to New York, but he would have to stay in bed rest, and a medical personnel would have to stay with him to keep check on him until he gains back his strength properly. And no, there were no complication; as far as they could tell; physically, Phil was fine.

Clint was still asking the doctor more questions; and trying to figure out how soon they could move back to New York; when he felt Phil squeeze his hand. The one he had yet to let go of since they came to the facility.

"Clint?" the archer looked at him, asking his husband with his eyes what he wanted.

"Two months was more than enough. Let's go home, now." Phil said.

They had been through a lot; more than most, really. But they always found a way back to each other – some way or another. And if Phil wanted to go home now, then go home they would.

Life would throw more obstacles at them, and frankly – that quite life was never for the two of them. But like always, they would stand side by side, right next to each other, while they faced whatever came their way next.

For now, they would go home.
