A/N: Here is part 1 of the first solo. This took so long to do and so out of my comfort zone! I have to re-plan and figure out the second part but I wanted to go ahead and put the first part for you guys! We hope you enjoy and let us know if something is off or doesn't make sense

Martha watched as the Doctor started to tinker on the Tardis. She couldn't believe things just went back to normal. She didn't understand how he did all this and ignored all that happened. "Oww!" She exclaimed as she ran into a wall.

She turned around while rubbing her nose and walked down the hall again. Martha groaned as she came to another dead end. "Why won't you let me go to my room?" She called to the ceiling. She turned her back to the wall and sighed. "Now I am talking to the ship".

Martha gasped as the lights went out then they turned back on one by one. "Am I supposed to follow?"

The lights flicked in answer. Martha followed slowly as more lights came on. 'He always just moves forward, except about his Rose. He offered me to come along yet he keeps going on about her' She thought as a door appeared with a wolf howling at a rose on it.

Martha slowly opened it then walked in and looked around. "I have never seen this room"

She walked towards the couch and picked up a leather jacket. A picture fell out and she picked it up. There was a blonde haired woman and a man with the leather jacket, laughing. "Who are these people?"

"Run" A voice rang through the room.

Martha looked at the TV to see the people from the picture. She watched as they ran into a lift and the man pulled an arm off a mannequin. The girls looked at him shocked. "You pulled his arm off"

The man threw the arm at her. "Yup, plastic"

The girl caught the arm. "Very clever. Nice trick! Who were they then, students? Is this a student thing or what?"

The man turned to her confused. "Why would they be students?"

"I don't know."

The man turned back around. "Well, you said it. Why students?"

"'Cos to get that many people dressed up and being silly, they got to be students."

The man looked at her and smiled. "That makes sense. Well done"

Martha sat on the couch as the TV went black then another one came on. The girl was standing outside as a door opened. "I'm the Doctor, by the way. What's your name?" The man from before asked.

"Rose" The girl replied.

"Nice to meet you, Rose. Run for your life!" The Doctor warned before shaking the item in his hand and shutting the door. The picture went black again. "Wait, how is he the Doctor?" Martha asked.

The Tardis stayed silent. "Is this the Rose my Doctor speaks about?"

The lights flashed a little and Martha watched as another scene appeared. The Doctor and Rose looked around the people. "You think it'll last forever, people and cars and concrete, but it won't. One day it's all gone. Even the sky. My planet's gone. It's dead. It burned like the Earth. It's just rocks and dust before its time." The Doctor mourned.

Rose looked up at him. "What happened?"

"There was a war and we lost"

"A war with who?" Rose questioned him. She noticed he turned sadder as memories probably raced through his head. "What about your people?"

The Doctor turned to her. "I'm a Time Lord. I'm the last of the Time Lords. They're all gone. I'm the only survivor. I'm left traveling on my own 'cos there's no one else."

"There's me" Rose stated without any hesitation. She didn't like that he felt so alone.

The Doctor felt happiness at that statement but wanted her to know the dangers of this life. "You've seen how dangerous it is. Do you want to go home?"

"I don't know. I want..." Rose trailed off as she smelled the air. "Oh, can you smell chips?"

The Doctor laughed. "Yeah….yeah"

"I want chips" Rose decided.

"Me too" The Doctor said with a smile.

"Right then, before you get me back in that box, chips it is, and you can pay." Rose teased

"No Money"

"What sort of date are you? Come on then, tightwad, chips are on me. We've only got five billion years till the shops close." Rose finished. Martha watched as they walked off smiling. 'He didn't even tell me until I had to force it out of him yet, he just told her' Martha thought as the screen went black again.

A lamp came on and Martha turned to it. She moved toward the nightstand and opened the drawer to see a photo album. "You want me to grab this?"

The lights flickered again and she moved back to the couch. Martha smiled a little as the next scene started to play. Martha watched as a couple people walked into a room. One man sat down in a chair and another sat at the table while a woman started to pour tea. The Doctor moved towards the fireplace while Rose stood next to the man at the table.

No one spoke for a couple moments then Rose turned angry. "First of all you drug me, then you kidnap me, and don't think I didn't feel your hands having a quick wander, you dirty old man" She yelled at the one in the chair.

The man glared at her. "I won't be spoken to like this!"

The Doctor chuckled as Rose continued. "Then you stuck me in a room full of zombies! And if that ain't enough, you swan off and leave me to die! So come on, talk!"

"She has sass" Martha teased and the lights flickered a moment. Martha laughed and patted the wall. "I take it you agree?"

The scene changed to Rose and the Doctor behind bars and people reaching through. "But I can't die. Tell me I can't. I haven't even been born yet. It's impossible for me to die. Isn't it?" Rose asked.

"I'm sorry" The Doctor apologized. 'I truly am sorry' He thought.

"But it's 1869. How can I die now?" Rose insisted.

"Time isn't a straight line. It can twist into any shape. You can be born in the twentieth century and die in the nineteenth and it's all my fault. I brought you here."

Martha watched Rose lean back, just accepting his words. "It's not your fault. I wanted to come." Rose assured him.

"Even after this, she is still assuring him. They also haven't known each other long, right?" Martha whispered.

The lights flickered and she smiled as the Doctor looked at Rose. "What about me? I saw the fall of Troy, World War Five. I pushed boxes at the Boston Tea Party. Now I'm going to die in a dungeon….in Cardiff" He said disgusted.

Martha giggled a little as the scene vanished. "He is very dramatic with that face. Am I going to learn how he becomes the Doctor I know?"

The lights flickered and Martha opened the book she was holding. The first picture is Rose and the current Doctor looking out a window, their backs to the camera, as something is burning outside.

Martha sees a note under the picture. 'The steward took this picture before being mad of us there. His assistant brought it to me before we left.' Martha read.

Martha looked back at the pictures and the next one was Rose and this current Doctor at a table, eating chips. Rose is laughing while the Doctor has his hands up. "Definitely got to be one of his stories" Martha murmured.

She turned the page and saw Rose taking a selfie with the Doctor and one of the men, from one of the scenes, talking. "Is that..That is Charles Dickens!" Martha exclaimed.

"The Doctor is trying to get Charlie to understand what an autograph is, then trying to see if he will do it. He should have just asked for a signature" Martha read the note next to the picture and giggled.

Martha heard the Tardis and looked up to see the next scene starting. "Gwyneth was a hero tonight" Rose spoke.

"She was" The Doctor said as he continued to just fiddle with controls.

Rose sighed. "It wasn't your fault"

"Isn't it though? I felt so torn by the war that I let them control my emotions. She and Sneed were killed from-"

"She died from hoping to help the Gelth and making sure no one would suffer them killing others. She made her choice to help. Sneed was trying to get her to let go so he made the choice to try and save her, not focusing on himself. I don't see you at fault for either of them"

The Doctor looked at her. "Thank you and I am sorry for getting upset at you"

"Don't fight the designated driver, remember? I will just find my own way to make you see my side of things" Rose promised before leaving the console room.

The Doctor stood still then smiled. "I don't know if that is good or bad for me" He muttered before the scene went away.

Martha giggled. "He never knows if anything is good or bad"

The lights flickered quickly and Martha fell back laughing harder. She calmed down as the next scene started. A woman was glaring at The Doctor and started going off. "Then what is it? Because you, you waltz in here all charm and smiles, and the next thing I know, she vanishes off the face of the Earth! How old are you then? Forty? Forty five? What, did you find her on the Internet? Did you go online and pretend you're a doctor?"

The Doctor smiled. "I am a doctor"

"Prove it. Stitch this, mate!" She yelled before slapping him.

The scene ended and Martha looked at the album to see a picture with the woman and her while The Doctor leaned against the TARDIS in the background. "Is this Rose's mom?"

The lights flickered again and Martha smiled. "So that was why he complained of the moms slapping him"

She started to look back at the screen when she saw the message under the photo. 'I am sorry for missing our ten second return but I do come back and I love you mum' Martha read.

Rose came on the screen. "If we could just get out of here"

"There's a way out" The Doctor told her

Rose looked at him. "What?"

"There's always been a way out"

Rose turned confused. "Then why don't we use it?"

The Doctor hesitated then looked at the speaker on the table. "Because I can't guarantee your daughter will be safe"

"Don't you dare. Whatever it is, don't you dare!" Jackie insisted over the speaker

"That's the thing. If I don't dare, everyone dies"

"Do it" Rose broke in.

The Doctor quickly looked at her. "You don't even know what it is. You'd just let me?"

Rose moved her hands into her pockets. "Yeah"

"Doctor. Please. She's my daughter. She's just a kid." Jackie spoke through the speaker.

The Doctor looked back at the speaker. "Do you think I don't know that? Because this is my life, Jackie. It's not fun, it's not smart, it's just standing up and making a decision because nobody else will"

"Then what're you waiting for?" Rose broke in again.

"I could save the world but lose you" The Doctor answered and the scene went black. "They haven't been together long by this time and were already so close but I am happy she is like his light"

The lights flickered and Martha smiled. "Tardis, you are perfect"

The Doctor came on the screen. He walked down the hall to see the door with a golden rose. "Is this the door you gave her old girl?"

There was only silence and the Doctor turned to see a door with the golden rose in front of him again. He sighed and knocked. "Come in" Rose called.

The Doctor opened the door and his eyes widened at all the paintings. "The Tardis led me to this empty room when I asked for a painting place, I hope you don't mind"

"Mind? Rose, these are amazing. Where did you learn to paint like this?"

Rose shrugged. "Really never took to it till I was a teenager and then moving back in with mom, I just lost the motivation for it. After seeing the planet Lakkros last week, I wanted to capture the view, then I couldn't stop" She replied.

"You have done all this in a week?"

"It helps after crazy trips or when I just want to capture what we saw"

The Doctor watched as Rose started to paint again and he looked at all the paintings. "Rose, I was planning to go read in the library. Do you want to join me there while you paint?"

Rose stopped and glanced at him. "Really? Usually you don't want to talk or hang out much after a trip"

"I would enjoy the company"

Rose smiled big and put her paintbrush in the bucket. "Of course I would love to" she told him before the scene went black again.

"So he had trouble then too of distracting himself after trips"

A new scene started with Rose on the phone. "Sorry, I was a bit slow"

Martha gasped as a Dalek came in sight. "See you, then, Doctor. It wasn't your fault. Remember that, okay? It wasn't your fault"

The scene switched to the Doctor wearing an earpiece. "And do you know what? I wouldn't have missed it for the world" Rose told him as the scene went off again.

"She still doesn't blame him" Martha whispered as she turned a page in the album. She laughed at a picture of Rose standing behind a green hand in a case holding a peace sign and the Doctor laying his arm on the case. 'Stuffed Slitheen hand and the place falling in, we had to sneak a picture before running again' Martha read.

Martha looked at the next picture of Rose standing with a man that looked like her. 'I screwed up badly but I met my father and gave him a hand to hold when he left this world. I feel guilty but I also feel grateful at the same time'. Martha frowned and touched the picture. "Was this Rose's dad?"

She waited but the Tardis didn't answer. Martha looked back at the album to see Rose taking a selfie with another man in the background looking at a watch. 'Captain Jack doing some spock to find the Doctor. Doctor, pay attention!' Martha read then smiled. "He is a dumb genius, right?"

The lights flickered and Martha looked up as another scene started. A girl was next to Rose in front of a fence. "Who are you? Who are any of you?

Rose was holding the sonic screwdriver to the wires. "You'd never believe me if I told you"

The girl grabbed the next set of wires as Rose moved the screwdriver up. "You just told me that was an ambulance from another world. There are people running around with gas mask heads calling for their mummies, and the sky's full of Germans dropping bombs on me. Tell me, do you think there's anything left I couldn't believe?"

Rose looked at her. "We're time travelers from the future"

Martha's eyes widened as the girl just looked back at Rose. "Mad, you are"

"We have a time travel machine, seriously"

"It's not that. All right, you've got a time travel machine. I believe you. Believe anything, me. But what future?" The girl trailed off as she looked to the sky.

Rose looked with her then back to her. "Nancy, this isn't the end. I know how it looks, but it's not the end of the world or anything"

"How can you say that? Look at it!" Nancy replied with panic in her voice.

"Listen to me. I was born in this city. I'm from here, in like, fifty years time"

"From here?"

Rose smiled. "I'm a Londoner. From your future"

"But, you're not..." Nancy trailed off again.

"What?"

"German" Nancy finished.

"Nancy, the Germans don't come here. They don't win. Don't tell anyone I told you so, but you know what? You win" Rose assured her as her grin grew.

"We win?" Nancy asked skeptically.

"Come on" Rose said before standing up. The scene ended and Martha groaned. "Will you stop cutting them off when they get good? I am surprised she did that though and love that she comforted her"

Martha waited a moment and the next scene started. The Doctor was walking around the console as Rose came back into the room. "I took Jack to his room. Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine"

Rose sighed and moved to the seat. "Which means you have something bugging you so out with it"

"Rose, just because-"

"Doctor, are you mad I asked for Jack to travel with us?" Rose interrupted.

"No, I just-"

"So you are happy everyone lived?" Rose interrupted again.

"Well yes but that doesn't-"

Rose sat down and ignored him. "So you are not mad at me and happy for a good ending...Oh are you angry at Jack?"

"Why in the world-?"

"No that wouldn't be it, there is no reason to be mad at him. Is-"

The Doctor moved and covered her mouth. "I was just thinking that it is the first time everyone lived and bringing on a new person on the Tardis. There is nothing wrong"

Rose nodded and the Doctor removed his hand. "So, how about reading and painting in the library or we can do more dancing?"

The Doctor laughed. "Should we continue Charles Dickens?"

Rose stood up and shook her head. "How about we update our adventures diary?"

"Fine but you and the Tardis better not cheat this time with a mirror"

Rose rubbed a coral strut. "We would never do that would we Old Girl?"

"Yea, I don't believe either of you" The Doctor told her as the scene cut off.

"Wait, they had diaries? When did this start?"

The drawer that held the photo album, opened again. Martha put the album on the couch and went to the drawer. She pulled out a book and went back to the couch. Martha opened it to see a letter.

"Doctor, I challenge you to a writing game. Who remembers the adventure more or what did the other see? Let's compare our notes and use it as a way to talk without talking" Martha read. She flipped through the pages of the adventures she had seen so far.

"This is amazing!"

Martha closed the book, not wanting to continue the adventures she hadn't seen yet. She looked back at the TV as a new scene started. The Doctor was looking at a banner. "How'd you think of the name?" He questioned.

A woman came up behind Rose. "What, Blaidd Drwg? It's Welsh"

"I know, but how did you think of it?"

The woman walked around Rose and closer to the Doctor. "I chose it at random, that's all. I don't know. It just sounded good. Does it matter?"

The Doctor turned back to them. "Blaidd Drwg"

"What's it mean?" Rose asked him.

"Bad Wolf"

"But I've heard that before. Bad Wolf. I've heard that lots of times" Rose told him.

"Everywhere we go. Two words following us. Bad Wolf" The Doctor continued.

Martha watched as Rose turned scared. "How can they be following us?"

The Doctor looked down then laughed. "Nah, just a coincidence"

Martha groaned while Rose rolled her eyes. "He never says anything!"

"Like hearing a word on the radio then hearing it all day. Never mind. Things to do. Margaret, we're going to take you home" The Doctor finished and started walking off.

"Hold on, isn't that the easy option, like letting her go?" The man, Jack, broke in.

"I don't believe it! We actually get to go to Raxa-" Rose stopped.

The Doctor rolled his eyes. "Wait a minute! Raxacor" Rose stopped again.

"Raxacoricofallapatorius" The Doctor interrupted her.

"Raxacorico" Rose started as she walked to him.

"fallapatorius" The Doctor finished.

"Raxacoricofallapatorius!" Rose guessed then squealed.

"That's it!" The Doctor cheered then hugged her.

Rose pulled back and raised her hand. "I did it!" She announced before the screen went black again. Martha opened the diary. "What is Bad Wolf and why is it following them?"

She turned to this adventure and saw Rose had put Bad Wolf at the top with a question mark plus underlined it. "Even she was confused by it. Do we find out?"

The lights flickered and Martha nodded. "Good, don't be leaving me on a cliff hanger please"

The lights flickered quickly and Martha sighed. "I get the feeling you were laughing and now plan to do that"

The next scene started at the Doctor and others were looking at the screen. Martha gasped at seeing Rose standing with Daleks. "I will talk to the Doctor" One spoke.

"Oh, will you? That's nice. Hello!" The Doctor answered with a wave.

"The Dalek stratagem nears completion. The fleet is almost ready. You will not intervene" The Dalek continued.

"Oh, really? Why's that, then?"

"We have your associate" The Dalek answered then turned to Rose. "You will obey or she will be exterminated"

"No" The Doctor challenged.

Martha leaned forward as everyone looked at him. The Dalek turned back to the screen. "Explain yourself"

"I said no" The Doctor repeated.

"What is the meaning of this negative?"

"It means no" The Doctor argued.

"But she will be destroyed"

The Doctor stood up. "No! Because this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to rescue her. I'm going to save Rose Tyler from the middle of the Dalek fleet and then I'm going to save the Earth, and then, just to finish off, I'm going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky!" He threatened, getting louder with each word.

"But you have no weapons, no defenses, no plan"

"Yeah. And doesn't that scare you to death. Rose?"

"Yes, Doctor?" Rose asked.

"I'm coming to get you" He told her before taking his screwdriver and cutting the transmission. The screen went off and Martha grabbed the diary. "Ha, I can read the whole thing here!"

[The Doctor]

The Doctor ran his screwdriver over a cord when he felt a shock to his hand. "Ow, you need this re-calibrated!"

He got shocked again and he pulled his hand back. "Fine, I will go see what Martha is up to but you better cooperate later!"

The Doctor stood up and went down the hall. He checked the kitchen, Martha's room, and the library but couldn't find her. "Oi, where is she?"

He waited a moment and felt his hearts stop as the door with a wolf howling at a rose on it appeared. "Why...Why is she in there?"

He opened the door to see Martha looking between a photo album and Rose's diary. "What is next? There is nothing new in the album and I can't read the next one yet or is that what I am supposed to do?"

"Martha, what is going on?"

Martha jumped and looked at the Doctor. "Umm, it was all the Tardis's idea!"

The lights flashed and Martha glared. "I don't know what you are saying but you wouldn't let me go anywhere, remember?!"

"What've you done?" The Doctor's voice spoke from the TV. Martha shushed Ten and they faced the TV. "Bad Wolf" Ten whispered.

"I looked into the Tardis, and the Tardis looked into me" Rose spoke. Martha moved to the edge of the couch. "Oh my..."

"You looked into the Time Vortex. Rose, no one's meant to see that"

"This is the abomination!" A creature broke in.

"Exterminate!" A Dalek hollered and shot a beam to Rose. Rose stopped it and sent it back.

"I am the Bad Wolf. I create myself. I take the words, I scatter them in time and space. A message to lead myself here" Rose explained as letters flew away.

"Rose, you've got to stop this. You've got to stop this now. You've got the entire vortex running through your head. You're going to burn!"

Rose looked at him. "I want you safe. My Doctor. Protected from the false god"

"You cannot hurt me. I am immortal!" The creature challenged her.

Rose looked at the creature and glared. You are tiny. I can see the whole of time and space. Every single atom of your existence, and I divide them. Everything must come to dust. All things. Everything dies. The Time War ends." She demanded as she raised her hands as the Daleks disintegrated.

"I will not die. I cannot die!" The creature cried before disintegrating too.

"Rose, you've done it. Now stop. Just let go" The Doctor assured her.

"How can I let go of this? I bring life"

"But this is wrong! You can't control life and death!"

Rose looked at the Doctor. "But I can. The sun and the moon, the day and night. But why do they hurt?"

"The power's going to kill you and it's my fault!"

"I can see everything. All that is, all that was, all that ever could be"

The Doctor stood up. "That's what I see. All the time. And doesn't it drive you mad?"

"My head"

"Come here" The Doctor said as he grabbed her hands.

"It's killing me"

"I think you need a Doctor" He whispered before kissing Rose and the screen went black. Only a moment lasted before it came back with the Doctor holding his stomach. "Every cell in my body's dying"

Rose looked scared. "Can't you do something?"

"Yeah, I'm doing it now. Time Lords have this little trick, it's sort of a way of cheating death. Except it means I'm going to change, and I'm not going to see you again. Not like this. Not with this daft old face. And before I go-"

"Don't say that!" Rose interrupted him.

"Rose, before I go, I just want to tell you, you were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And do you know what? So was I." The Doctor broke back in before he burst with golden light.

Martha gripped the couch as Ten moved to sit down. Suddenly the golden light vanishes and Ten appears. "Hello. Okay. Ooo, new teeth. That's weird. So, where was I?" He asked Rose before the screen cut off again.

Martha sat a second before hitting the Doctor with a pillow. "What was that about?!"

"Will you stop hitting me and I will explain!"

Martha put the pillow down then held up one finger and grabbed the diary "I am reading this first then you will explain!"

"Martha-"

"Shush!" Martha warned him before opening the diary. The Doctor sat silently as she read it then turned to him. She grabbed the pillow and hit him once more. "You stupid alien!"

The Doctor grabbed the pillow and put it behind him. "Now you can't hit me"

Another pillow appeared and the Doctor glared at the ceiling. "You stop helping!"

Martha crossed her arms. "I will be mad of regeneration later, what I want to know is where is Rose and how she was Bad Wolf"

"Doesn't her diary-"

Martha raised the pillow. "You talk your side"

"Rose looked into the heart of the Tardis or the time vortex. She created a paradox of Bad Wolf to make sure she led herself there to save me"

Martha laid the pillow down and sighed. "Let's finish then we will talk. I have a feeling the Tardis will show what happened from here but you will explain the in between moments"

The Doctor started to talk when Martha glared at him and pointed to the TV. The Doctor looked back to the door to see it vanish and he sighed. He faced the TV and grabbed Martha's hand. "I will answer any questions"

Martha smiled and squeezed his hand. "Okay, Tardis, we are ready"
