Eada had spent the break before Beacon quite busy as the heiress of the Vendetta family. Her family owned dust mines which her family partnered with the Schnee Dust Company which had lien coming in by the truck load.
Despite the money Eada needed some freedom to be a little more independent which also gave her time to tackle her own private projects alongside training to become a Huntress and all the business meetings throughout her week.
Applying for Beacon Academy over Atlas Academy shocked her Father but in the end with some cleverly rehearsed lines and projections Eada convinced her Father it was of best interest to the Vendetta name, not only would she training to be a Huntress but she would be also testing the waters of Vale and letting the Kingdom of Vale know that the Vendetta name is interested in becoming an International name across Remnant and not known just for partnering with the Schnee Dust Company.
Her Father had thrown her a going away party and as she stood around with the high class talking about their money and where to buy the best item of clothing a Rabbit Faunus waitress approached them and presented a drink to one of the guests.
The drink was thrown in the Faunus' face as the man yelled that he ordered a White wine and not Red wine, Eada quick to PR control apologized on behalf of the Vendetta name and simply remarked "You have more ears than any of us and not even 1 of them is unblocked? Clean your ears out and you can join the unemployment line"
The Rabbit Faunus cowered off as laughter ran through the hall with Eada demanding the White Wine better be here within the next minute by someone that won't stuff it up. Her demand was met and not only did she impress multiple humans she impressed Jacques Schnee, the CEO of the Schnee Dust Company which got her family quite the Popularity boost.
Using his ties Jacques gave Eada information on an abandoned Dust mine in the Kingdom of Vale that he had been trying to buy off a stubborn owner. Since the Vendetta name wasn't known yet perhaps the Vendetta family will purchase this Dust mine and work along with the Schnee Dust Company like they had been for years.
Eada's Father had joined the conversation and in conclusion Eada now had been tasked with helping her family buy this mine even though she was supposed to be going to Vale to attend Beacon Academy.
With the plan in motion Eada retired for the night after thanking everyone for attending her send off and returning to her room. She made sure she was packed because in the morning she would be on an early Airship to Beacon Academy ready to show the Kingdom of Vale why people from Atlas were better than the rest of Remnant.
