The sound of glass shattering made her dive for the floor. Searing pain quickly followed as she crawled to take cover behind her desk. Kakashi slammed the door open and quickly sent shots back, keeping cover behind the door. She slowly crawled towards him as he gave her covering fire.
As soon as she was past him, he checked her wound. Just a flesh wound, whoever shot at her was lucky to even hit her though mirror tinted glass.
"Are you OK?" Kakashi asked her as she looked at the wound on her arm.
"Pissed. Now we'll have to deal with the police. Fucking idiots." She growled. "Patch me up and lock up. Throw out any civilians, all members of the families have to stay. I need answers."
"Yes Ma'am." Kakashi repeated her orders to all the other staff and grabbed a first aid kit. He cleaned her wound and bandaged her up. "You should see Sakura-san." He told her as he helped her off the floor.
"Later." She told him and opened up a hidden wall panel. She took out an eight caliber pistol and loaded it. She walked out into the bar.
Tobirama was sat at the bar, he looked concerned. He was confused by Yua's orders but when I saw her, he understood. There were a few foot soldiers who had come to party. In terms of big fish, he was the only one caught. "If you want to get out before the police come here. Talk. Who shot at me?" Her voice was cold and harsh. He had never heard her sound aggressive or cold blooded before. "Do I need to start shooting?" She then asked, holding her gun up.
"We don't know Sato-san." Tobirama spoke up, stepping away from the bar. "It wasn't anyone from Senju, I can reassure you." Yua glared at him.
"Then who would want to shot me? I supply everyone. No one gets anything through without me knowing." She countered as the sound of sirens started to near. She huffed annoyed; she didn't want to be caught with so many criminals in her establishment. "Everyone leave!" She shouted rushed back towards her office to hid her guns and clear her computer.
Once the police arrived, Kakashi led them up to see Yua's office. She sat at her desk; her business dealings removed from her computer.
"This is Miss Kim. She runs and owns the bar and she was the only one injured." Kakashi introduced the police to her. She stood up to shake their hands. It looked like she landed up with the Hyuga's. They had largely taken over the police force since the Uchiha family had some questionable relatives such as Madara. Some of Madara's family had followed in his footsteps while others had remained in the police force.
"You were injured. Do you need any medical care?" The youngest officer asked.
"Oh, it's just a graze. I wanted to stay and see if I could be of any help." She told them sweetly. It was the tone of voice she used to make people relax around her, mainly men. "I had come up from the bar to get a little peace and quiet. I wanted some time before closing and all of the sudden, the window shattered."
"And that was when you were hit?" The older man asked and she nodded.
"My security officer, Mr Hatake, drew his gun to allow me to get to safety." She told them.
"I hope the gun is registered." The younger one spoke up and received a nudge from the older man.
"Of course. I wouldn't employ a security offer who doesn't have a registered gun. Everything here is done to the letter of the law. I couldn't run a reputable business if I didn't." She told them, trying hard to keep up her innocent act. "I would like to go down to my bar and reassure my staff, if that is, OK?" She then asked and the older officer nodded and let her go.
While Kakashi was speaking with the officers and handing over his gun, one of his team came up to Yua, the doorman. He placed a coat over her shoulders, making her smile.
"Thank you, Sai-san." She pulled the coat tight to her body.
"My pleasure Ma'am." He told her and led her to the bar. "Should I call Sakura-san?" He asked her as she sat at the bar.
"Not right now. Once the police have gone, we will sort it out." She told him.
The police took a few hours to leave, it was almost morning when they did. They had tried to take Kakashi in but Yua threatened them with lawyers. She would not have one of her staff locked up if she could help it.
"Now will you let us call Sakura-san?" Kakashi asked.
"Tell her to meet me at home." She told him as she stood up from her bar stool. "Sai-san, could you drive me home tonight?" She then asked. Sai gave her a small smile and nodded.
The ride home was largely uneventful until they got to her driveway.
"Yua-sama, I heard the conversation you had with Kakashi-san..." Sai spoke up as he stopped the car. Yua paused and looked him, waiting for him to start teasing her, even though that would have been very unusual for Sai. "I would like to put myself forward, to help you." He then added. She wasn't sure if he understood what he was offering, he always came across as emotionally unavailable. She wondered if he was capable of having sex with emotions such as lust or passion. Or would it be more like sleeping with a robot. She quickly shook the thoughts from her mind.
"Thank you, Sai-san, but...ummm...I really haven't given it much more thought." She was a little shocked by his forwardness. She didn't know what she was meant to say to him. She slipped out of the car and Sai followed her.
"Yua-sama, you don't need to be afraid with me. No one will know unless you want them to." He told her as he stood right behind her as she unlocked her door. She felt his hot breath on her neck. She opened her door and tried to collect herself. "We can take it slow if you're unsure." He tried to reassure her. Yua turned around to find Sai directly in front of her. His hand reached out for hers.
"Yua-San!" Sakura's voice shouted, making her shift her attention. She squeezed past Sai to signal for Sakura to enter. She then led Sakura in to her slivery pink wallpapered living room with teal geometric detailing, their heels clicked on the solid wooden floor.
In her living room, she had a velvet, navy blue, vintage chesterfield three-seater sofa with deep buttoning on the backrest and the arms. To the left side of the sofa, she had a dusty pink velvet armchair with a golden geometric frame to support it. She had also paired it with a matching footrest. Next to it square white marble topped side table, also with a gold geometric frame. Her rectangle coffee table matched the side table perfectly, it sat between the sofa and fireplace. Under her coffee table was a rose and silver rug. She had a large wooden bookcase which took all of the space of the left nook it sat in. It was filled to the brim with books. The fireplace itself was black, old and looked original, nothing modern or sleek. On the other side, she had her TV set up on a honey toned wooden TV cabinet. The only large window in the room was decorated with dark navy blackout curtains. The main light had a drum navy blue velvet shape with a golden liner. She had a matching silver stem tall light behind her armchair to match.
The two women sat down on the sofa. Yua took off the coat to show Sakura her wound. "I would have preferred you called me immediately, not hours later." Sakura scolded her. Yua rolled her eyes and relaxed as Sakura carefully and gently look over her wound.
"It was a graze, nothing life-threatening." Yua reasoned.
"An open cut, even something as small as a paper cut, can lead to infection. Infections can become life-threatening, or at least life altering if left unchecked." Sakura stressed to her. "And do you have any idea how dirty a bullet is? Let alone, one that has been shot through glass!?" She almost screeched. Sakura was probably the only person who could get away with shouting at Yua. Even with how close Yua and Kakashi were, he would never dream of shouting at her.
"I called, didn't I?" Yua hissed at her. Sakura didn't even flinch at the harshness.
"I suppose..." Sakura hummed as she cleaned the wound and redressed it. "Change daily, call me if it doesn't heal or smells off. You'll smell the infection before you see any discharge or strange colouration normally." She added as she cleared her things away.
"I know, at least I'll have a scar to show off now." Yua said, sounding a little pleased with herself. Sakura rolled her eyes and stood up.
"I hope I don't see you soon, and if I do, try not to get too hurt." Sakura joked and left her alone with Sai.
Sai had been stood behind Yua the entire time. She had tried hard to ignore him.
"Yua-sama, I do not want to make you feel uncomfortable." Sai spoke up. "I am sorry for overstepping." Yua tilted her head back to look at him.
"It's OK Sai-san. But if I wish to deal with my issue, I will approach you or anyone else I trust when I am ready." She told him, trying not to sound too tough on him. After all she wanted her top interrogator to be happy. "I'm going to bed." She told him and handed him back his coat and thanked him. She felt Sai's eyes on her as she made her way upstairs to her room. A few seconds later, she heard him leave.
