-Chapter 28- Silver Eyed Warriors

Eada just stared blankly at Tiger for a second, thinking on what exactly happened last night when Daisy and Tiger spent the night in Austin's camp. Truly asking what happened Tiger then told Eada her experience whilst in the camp. The most important aspect was when she woke up during the night, Daisy was fast asleep but she overheard a conversation, she knew one of the voices was Austin, she never saw faces but they were talking on their next plan and called themselves 'The Silver Eyed Warriors'. Eada thought for a second and did think that it could be possible, somehow everyone in Austin's band had silver eyes and Austin had told them all about people with silver eyes and being an extremely rare trait.

Tiger continued as she had been thinking about it all day and come up with a theory that Austin and his band put on a show to distract everyone from being the Silver Eyed Warriors, Eada just had to ask what she thought what the Silver Eyed Warriors did. Tiger could only shrug, on the evidence they could go off the Silver Eyed Warriors could be a group of Huntsman killing Grimm, a hired militia for wealthy clients or even possible bandits. Eada shook her head telling Tiger that Austin would never do that, yes he did fake his death but truly never would hurt innocent people, the amount of people he helped and he stood up for faunus. Tiger put her hands up trying to get Eada to calm down telling her it was just a possibility and it was only a rumour they had to take into consideration.

Eada calmed down as the two girls discussed it further then decided that they needed to tell Jade and Daisy, they waited a good hour until they walked to their room, opening it they found Daisy and Jade sitting on the bed facing each other talking. Daisy and Jade had apologized to each other, promised each other to be there for one another, Jade promised she wouldn't neglect Daisy and Daisy promised she wouldn't take it to heart when Jade thought about Austin. Daisy realized within their talk that Austin was her first love, the way they never got to say goodbye, the closure she never got and blaming herself for his death really did a number and finding him alive was clearly hard for her.

They were both now in a good place, Eada smiled at the couple, glad they could be together but Tiger was most proud, she remembered her conversation with Daisy last year after she tried kissing her, remembering the embarrassed look on Daisy's face and not being as confident, she had always hidden away some part of her especially behind her hair. Jade looked into Daisy's eyes and for once could see both of them without moving her hair, Daisy had changed for the better and was now more confident. After their brief happy moment Tiger sat down with her team as she told everything to Jade and Daisy of what she told Eada and perhaps need to really see what the Silver Eyed Warriors really were.

They all agreed and headed downstairs, Austin and his band was still performing so the girls had to wait out the show, Eada got a drink at the bar, Tiger sat in a booth messaging Nell and Ray. Jade and Daisy danced together with a few nervous glimpses at Austin, Jade was more worried about her friends David and Julie that had gone missing, she had worked everything she needed to out and now their mission was the one thing she could focus on. As Austin's band finished after performing an encore they left the stage. Team JDTE got to work as Daisy and Eada headed out following Austin and his band, Jade and Tiger went to the train station seeming like they were sticking to their plan.

Eada and Daisy used their semblances to really find out what Austin and his band were truly up to, they found their result unbelievable and incredibly lucky as they packed up the rest of their camp and talked to each other what they were going to do in Mistral. They had booked tickets to, Daisy and Eada rushed back into town ahead of Austin and his band joining up with Tiger and Jade telling them Austin and his band would be joining them on the train. Austin broke apart from his group when they arrived at the train station, he came up to Team JDTE and asked how they were doing, things were a little awkward as they politely made small talk with him, Jade thought to herself that their unbreakable bond had indeed been broken as Austin was treating his old friends like strangers.

It was Eada to approach Austin and ask how he was doing, he rambled a bit of nonsense about his band and what he had gotten up to now that he wasn't trying to become a Huntsman. Tiger looked away, she wasn't a big fan of Austin but she still joined in the conversation when needed. When the train arrived Austin went back with his band as Jade thought there was something funny going on, thinking why would a band or even Austin himself go to dangerous Grimm infested areas if he wasn't trying to become a Huntsman anymore, his performances with the band could land him nice hotel rooms wherever he performed. Camping was one thing but out of all the areas there were some that seemed strange for a band to visit.

The train trip started off well, 20 minutes out of Higanbana and everything seemed fine, the passengers were happy and relaxing the train sped towards Mistral, it wasn't until the 40 minute mark that the train came to an unexpected stop and the conductor announced on the intercom that they were at a signal and needed to wait for an obstruction on the tracks to be cleared. Team JDTE looked at each other knowing something may not be right, they then saw the train's employed Huntsman rush through their carriage to another towards the front of the train and so they grabbed their weapons and followed. Climbing onto the roof they were greeted by a large amount of Grimm on the track ahead of them.

The Grimm Apathy were slowly making their way to the train, Team JDTE stood in front of the train joining the other two Huntsman and began firing dust at the creatures from a distance. Too close to the Grimm Apathy and it'd drain you of your will to fight, they had been known to even have the brightest and most positive people giving up. Their shots had dissipated a few Grimm but this was a whole pack that kept emerging, the Grimm were getting closer and things weren't looking good, Team JDTE were doing their best and the other two Huntsman were not equipped for ranged combat as they were using more melee weapons. Instead of fighting they were in contact to perhaps reverse the train and get the passengers back to Higanbana.

Team JDTE knew they would have to press their attack closer and just before Tiger was about to order them the 6 Huntsman were drawn to their flanks as a couple of people in masks on either side ran past them headed to the Grimm including Austin, he had a mask on but Team JDTE knew who that was as they stopped within a 6ft distance. Team JDTE and the two other Huntsman called out to the group that had charged the Grimm Apathy, they hadn't even drawn weapons but what came next was totally unexpected as the group stood there and a bright light appeared that seemed to cover the Grimm and on contact made the Grimm evaporate instantly leaving the 6 Huntsman speechless.

In the midst of the group Austin stumbled and knelt down as the light disappeared, he was caught by his friends as they carried him back to the train, Jade, Daisy, Tiger and Eada just stared at them as they walked back, Austin had recovered and started walking but was still supported by his friends. Team JDTE were at the ready though unsure about the group of 4 with Austin, they were all wearing masks covering their identity and they had weapons. The small group stopped finally in front of the 6 Huntsman as they said it should be safe to continue, one of the Huntsman employed with the train crew asked the small group who they were. It was Austin stating that they were the 'Silver Eyed Warriors' that slay Grimm.

Austin cut them off before they could ask any further questions about what they saw, how did a light kill all the Grimm? and just what exactly did they do?, Austin took charge saying that the train better get moving just in case more Grimm were around or even a worse possibility of bandits. As everyone returned to the train Jade stared at Austin and from behind his mask he knew they needed a talk. So once everyone was back in and the train started on its way again The Silver Eyed Warriors and Austin sat down with Team JDTE while the other 2 Huntsman made sure passengers were ok and to make sure the train wasn't damaged in anyway. It was silent at first until Jade asked what was actually going on.

Austin shook his head telling them they couldn't talk here but instead were given more questions as Austin placed his scroll on the table which had called Professor Ozpin. Jade stared at the scroll and back to Austin, Daisy was looking at Jade to see if she was ok, Eada looked at her brother thinking what was going on and what had Austin gotten himself into? Tiger looked towards the scroll as they listened in on the conversation as Austin reported to him that he'd had to blow another part of the operation. Professor Ozpin once again remained calm and collected as he told Austin to explain things but in a secure location when they arrived in Mistral. Professor Ozpin also addressed the girls telling them they would get answers to all their questions then.

Austin and the rest of the Silver Eyed Warriors got up, telling them to meet up with them after getting off the train, the 4 girls sat there as they left, they all faced each other and didn't know where to start. Professor Ozpin had kept another thing from them once again, Austin had lied once more and in fact hadn't given up on being a Huntsman but also being a member of the fabled 'Silver Eyed Warriors'. The 4 girls discussed what questions they should ask, not just about the Austin and the Silver Eyed Warriors but perhaps more questions on why they need certain people and why it was them as Professor Ozpin clearly had Austin and he appeared to be close to alot of people already.

After they set up their plan and list of questions Jade got up and headed to the back of the train where she stood on the balcony, Daisy had offered to go with her but she needed her space. When she got out there Austin was already there sitting on the steps of the train, he looked at Jade and told her that he expected her to come out here. Jade snapped at him asking what in Remnant was he doing? Austin shrugged and just said he was trying to live each day better then the last, Jade wanted to kick him off the train as he wasn't taking it seriously until he saw her mad expression. Austin lightened up, he stood up and told Jade that he was doing this to make his parents proud, help in the fight against Salem for a better future.

Jade let out a sigh, asking Austin why he truly left Team JADE, Austin looked at Jade and asked if she really wanted the honest answer to that question. Jade thought for a second then nodded telling him she had to know, Austin simply replied that it was because of her, before she could get a word in he explained how it had been awkward since they broke up, he knew that things would only deteriorate more if he stayed and told Jade that she knew it to. The last reason was to help Jade actually acknowledge her feelings for Daisy, he stated if he were around then perhaps things would be rather different. The intercom announced they were about to arrive in Mistral as Austin got up and kissed Jade on her cheek, saying he would always love her but it was Daisy who she belonged with.

He told Jade he'd go meet up with the other Silver Eyed Warriors as Jade stood there then leant in the doorway after Austin had left, she thought to what he had said and realized he was right, she knew he was in love with her but there was always a strain within their relationship, it was Daisy, not in a bad way but Daisy was her true love and Austin was that mature to leave to make it happen. She walked back to her team, Daisy had been slightly worried when Jade needed space but upon returning Jade gave her a passionate kiss which had Tiger and Eada roll their eyes and awkwardly look away but let Tiger make a cliche joke telling them to get a room. Daisy smiled as they left the train knowing things between Jade and her would be alright and could now focus on the Silver Eyed Warriors waiting for them.
