"Yua…" Someone started but stopped. Yua looked over at the door pissed off at whoever entered. It was Tobirama. "I'll come back." He then added, slamming the door shut. Yua sighed, resting her head on Ibiki's shoulder.
"Who was that?" He asked, he sounded annoyed. He was clearly pissed off about the interruption.
"Senju Tobirama." She mumbled before leaning her head back against the wall. Ibiki tensed before letting Yua put her leg down.
"He's mafia, right?" He asked and she nodded.
"Yes, he was probably here to convince me to pay him for protection. Since the shotting, they have been pushing me even more." She told him and rested against him. Ibiki tucked her head under his chin and held her.
"What can we do?" He asked, there had to be something he could do.
"I will see what he wants. He won't leave unless he says what he needs to." She told him and walked over to her desk. Ibiki sighed and put his jacket over her shoulders. He didn't like the idea of her being alone with Tobirama while showing so much skin. Some men were unable to control themselves at the sight of skin. Yua thanked think and put it on properly.
Ibiki walked out of her office, glaring at Tobirama. Tobirama ignored him and walked into Yua's office.
"Who's the new man?" Tobirama asked and sat down in front of her.
"None of your business." Yua told him.
"So, you're finally being serious with someone." He sounded almost disappointed.
"What makes you think that?" She asked.
"Firstly, you sent him out instead of ignoring what happened. Secondly, you're wearing his jacket and third, you haven't mentioned the sex." He listed and she rolled her eyes.
"Shut up." She snapped at him. "Now what do you want?" She added and Tobirama smirked.
"Well, I came to ask for your help but now I think I'll ask for something else. If you and him aren't serious?" He smirked and moved around her desk, pulling her office chair to face him. He was trying to trap her into admitting she was finally with someone. Yua looked up at him, confused, worried and nervous. He leaned down and as he did, she kicked him between the legs. Tobirama dropped to the floor. "Damn it Yua!" He shouted at her. He wasn't going to do anything; he was just teasing her.
Ibiki rushed in and smirked as he saw Tobirama on the floor. Yua stood up and ran to Ibiki who held her. "You'll pay for that!" Tobirama shouted at her as he recovered and stood up.
"You'll have to go through me first." Ibiki said through gritted teeth.
"I'm not scared of you." Tobirama hissed and spat at Ibiki's feet as he walked out. Ibiki went to follow him but Yua pulled him back.
"He's not worth it." She told him before kissing him. "Thank you." She then added.
"For what?" He asked confused, all he had done was walk in. She had done all the work.
"For backing me up." She answered. "Now, why don't we go back to mine and I'll make us some dinner?" She added and Ibiki smirked.
"Are you sure that'll be all we'll be doing?" He hinted and she giggled. She just took his hand and led him out of the bar.
When they reached Yua's home, her front door was open. Yua froze, someone had broken into her home again. Ibiki immediately took a gun out from under his trouser leg and told her to stay put. Yua had no idea he had a gun on him the whole time. She wondered who he was and if the gun was even legal. He entered her home, ready to face the intruder.
"Freeze, hands where I can see them!" Ibiki shouted, the intruder hadn't managed to get far from the front door. The man put his hands up and slowly turned around. Yua slowly followed and was left surprised.
"Uncle?" Orochimaru smiled when he saw her.
"Can't I come by and see my favourite niece?" He asked as put his arms down and Ibiki but his gun away. "Ah, I see you have a friend here." He added as he stepped into her living room. Yua closed the front door and prayed for a miracle. "Alone?" His voice changed, he seemed to be disappointed in her. Ibiki seemed to recognised who he was straight away. Yua looked between the two nervously.
"Uncle, would you like some tea?" She asked, trying to escape the situation.
"How about you tell me about the man in your home?" He asked. "You've never mentioned a boyfriend before."
"Ibiki-kun is a friend who I invited around for dinner." Yua explained. Orochimaru sat down in her armchair.
"In those clothes?" He asked, she was still wearing the slip dress and Ibiki's jacket.
"We came back from the bar; you know it's important for me to look the part." Yua told him trying to cover herself up more.
"You could have changed." Orochimaru snapped at her. "You know what tea I like." He then stated and Yua moved quickly to the kitchen. It was the first time Ibiki had seen fear in her since he had met her. She wasn't even scared of Tobirama.
"Now, Ibiki, Yua is my only family. I am very protective of her." Orochimaru stated. "I want to know who you are and why you are here." His tone was serious and threatening.
"I am a police officer." Ibiki told him and watched Orochimaru 's reaction closely, or rather lack of reaction. It seemed he already knew.
"Does she know?" Orochimaru asked, catching Ibiki off guard.
"Why does that matter?" He asked confused.
"It would be what you would call a deal breaker." Orochimaru stated. "I've worked hard to put her off the police and I'm sure you can understand why." He lied. It appeared that Yua was letting her guard down and that would be no good for him.
"I only met Yua-chan a couple of nights ago and we get on great. I am also well aware of the shooting and now I know about you. You are the one who has made her target." Ibiki countered and folded his arms over his chest.
"Are you an undercover protective detail?" Orochimaru asked suspicious.
"No, like I said, I only met her a couple nights ago." Ibiki pointed out. "It is simply a coincidence."
"Is that so?" Orochimaru glared at Ibiki before quickly smiling as Yua entered the room with his tea. She smiled back and handed him the tea.
"Uncle, how did you know I was home? You normally stop by my bar." Yua asked curiously.
"I did stop by the bar, they said you had an incident with Senju Tobirama. I was worried." Orochimaru explained. "I was very concerned when I heard about your flirting with this man." He then added and Yua paled, she looked like she was about to run. When they were discussing business, she was in control. When they spoke at the bar, she was in control. She had no fear of him then. But now he was being her uncle, not a business associate.
"I'm sorry uncle." She got on her knees and bowed her head to the floor.
"I suggest you come to live with me in Suna." Orochimaru ordered despite saying it was a suggestion. Yua jumped up shocked.
"What about my bar?" She asked concerned. How could she run her business while in another country.
"You will sell it. You can open another in Suna." He reasoned.
"What if I don't want to?" She asked, knowing this would make him angry. Orochimaru calmly placed his tea down and stood up. He stepped in front of her.
"Pack your things Yua. You are coming to Suna." He ordered her; his voice cold.
"I don't want to and you can't make me." She tried to keep her voice strong but it waved ever slightly.
"You are leaving with me!" Orochimaru snapped. Ibiki jumped up and pushed in between them.
"She doesn't have to leave unless she wants to." Ibiki stated, his hand already on his gun. Orochimaru took a deep breath.
"If you get shot at again, I will drag you to Suna. Kicking and screaming if I have to." He warned her before leaving. Yua took a sigh of relief and leaned against Ibiki.
"Why does he scare you?" Ibiki asked after a short silence.
"He's a scary man." She answered before standing up straight.
"You weren't afraid of Tobirama, a mobster." He pointed out. "What's so scary about your uncle?" He asked, she either did know he was a family head or he had done something to her in the past.
"I grew up with him from a young age, he took me in when my parents passed. He wasn't great at parenting but he always meant well." She explained loosely. Ibiki decided not to press on too much. "Ibiki, why do you have a gun?" She asked, she had wondered since he had gotten it out.
"It's part of the job. Its fully legal." He told her, trying to reassure her. He didn't want to tell her his job now that he met Orochimaru.
"And your job is...?" She pushed to get answers. Ibiki sighed and sat down on her sofa. She looked at him confused.
"Well, I'm not supposed to talk about it." He told her, trying to avoid telling her.
"If you're part of the mob, this ends now." She told him, taking his jacket off.
"No, no. I'm nothing like that." He jumped up to reassure her.
"Then what is it?" She asked, suspicious.
"I work for the military." Ibiki told her. It was kind of true. He used to work for the military as an intelligence agent. It wasn't a desk job either. He was very hands on. He had technically retired from the military and joined the police force but they had called him back for help. He could stomach the horror better than some of the new and younger men who had taken over.
"Ah, something top secret?" She asked, curious.
"Very top secret." He told her with a smirk. Yua leaned down and kissed him.
"I'll make us some dinner." She then told him before walking off to the kitchen. Ibiki breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't want to lie but he wanted a chance with her. May be if he showed her how great he was, it wouldn't matter that he was a cop. He did wonder what Orochimaru had told her about the police, it could be why she was so willing to get rid of her protection team.
