Madara was practically through the door at the same time as Tobirama, he was eager for some reason to see her.
"How can I help you Madara?" She asked once the door had closed behind him.
"The cop?" He asked her, he wanted answers, why did she have a police escort? Why did she seem to close to him? Yua looked at him confused.
"What cop?" She asked. Madara's face changed to something she couldn't read. It was somewhere between realisation, disbelief and sadness.
"The man you're with." Madara told her and Yua shook her head.
"No, he works for the military." She explained. "What made you think he was a cop?" She added curious.
"He was the one who said he'd put me on death row. Officer Morino." He reminded her. Yua just stared at him blankly for a moment. Madara waited for her to come to her senses.
"Maybe it's his rank? They have officers in the military." She pointed out. "He must have heard from someone about the incident and threatened to have you arrested, tried and sentenced to death for it. A quicker way of making the point, send you to death row." She reasoned and Madara shook his head. "Orochimaru-san met him. He knows every cop in the city and he never said anything to me." She then added, making Madara pause. Maybe she was right but he was still on edge.
He didn't trust Ibiki. It didn't help that Madara had grown to like Yua either. It was in his nature to get what he wanted when he wanted. Now she would no longer accept his advances, even for a one-night stand. She had made it clear that morning, Ibiki was here to stay. It had put both him and Tobirama on edge. Both men had always liked her in one way or the other. Madara had always be drawn to her but it was only now that he understood his feelings. He knew Tobirama had always been sweet on her from day one but to Madara, he wasn't competition. Yua had always butted heads with Tobirama and he highly doubted she would start any sort of relationship with him.
"I see you like it rough." Madara then spoke up, Yua looked confused yet again. He went to touch her neck and she moved, realising what he meant.
"Yua-sama, the police are back, they've arrived at the front door." Sai called through the door, interrupting them.
"Is her new man with them?" Madara asked and Sai confirmed it. "Let them in and say Yua is in a meeting. We will do the rest." He added and Sai agreed. Yua looked at Madara confused. She was also confused as to why Ibiki had the police with him. "How about we find out his reaction to you being manhandled? Best way to see how interested he really is in you, if not then you won't need to waste your time." He explained to her. Yua smirked and nodded. She had had a nagging feeling in the back on her mind that he was just using her. She wondered if he was really looking for a relationship or for money. Or maybe for sex before he would be moved on by the military.
Madara quickly locked the door before he got her up on her feet and pulled her towards the wall opposite her desk. Once he heard Sai's voice stopping the police from entering her office. He suddenly slammed her into the wall. Yua let out a small scream from the sudden movement. The door banged; at that moment they would have realised the door was locked. Madara took what would be his only chance to kiss. He pushed his leg between hers while his hands held her arms above her head. He heard her breath hitch and smirked. "Excited? You could always drop him for me." He whispered in her ear and she huffed. The door slammed open as Madara forcefully kissed her. Madara was already off her in seconds. He was on the floor with Ibiki holding him down. Yua had also fallen to the floor in the struggle, she stared at the two men in shock.
Anko came up next to her, helping her up and led her to her office chair.
"Are you OK?" Anko asked her concerned and Yua nodded, staring at Ibiki.
"Fucking scum." Ibiki growled at Madara as the two struggled on the floor. Iruka came up behind Ibiki and tried to pull him of Madara.
Ibiki slowly got off Madara when he saw the worry and fear on Yua's face as Anko tried to comfort her. Yua had mastered faking emotions but sometimes her face would say exactly what she was thinking rather than the emotion she was meant to show. Thankfully, it was showing what she wanted in that moment. Madara huffed as he got up off the floor, dusting himself off. He spat at them before leaving.
Yua looked down at the floor, trying to stop herself from laughing at Madara's acting. Anko tried to reassure her while Iruka placed himself between Ibiki and the door. He knew that if Ibiki really wanted to, he could bulldoze his way past him to get to Madara. He just hoped Ibiki would think twice.
"Why did you come back? Why did you get them?" Yua asked as tried to straighten herself out.
"Because I think you're in more danger than they first thought." Ibiki spoke up. He had come up with an explanation for everything now. Any question she asked; he would now be able to tie it back the military. "I was right. Even if it that wasn't death threat, it was a threat to you."
"How did you know?" She asked confused. What had she done to make him think that?
"You have a security guard called Inuzuka Kiba?" Iruka asked and she nodded. "He told us about what happened after the shooting, at your home. Ibiki-san also informed us of your uncles' attitude towards you, this is a big concern to your safety. So much so, a military man came to us for help. Is there anything you want to add to that now?" He explained, trying to get more information from her. Iruka wasn't sure how Ibiki had convinced him to lie but he had. He hoped for all of them that it would work out OK in the end. Yua sighed and rubbed her face. She would have to have a word with Kiba when she got the chance. He spoke for one of two reasons, if not both. He spoke to get back at her because she told him she didn't want a relationship, the second, he was actually looking after her or believed he was. Either way, he should have kept his mouth shut.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Anko asked concerned. Yua sat down at her desk before pulling her second draw open. She took out the piece of paper she had found in her bed. She had hoped to study it but there was just so much going on at once. She barely had a moment free. Anko looked at it and then passed it to Iruka.
"Sai dropped me home after. Nothing looked out of place so I got ready for bed. When I pulled the covers back, I found the note." Yua ran through what happened. "I called Kiba as he lived the closest, he didn't find anyone. Nothing else was touched."
"Why didn't you call the police?" Anko asked. "We could have found evidence of who it was." She added.
"I just didn't want to cause any more trouble." She told them, ensuring to keep her voice quiet. She made herself look small.
"You're not causing trouble." Anko tried to reassure her.
"I am, look at what happened with Madara just now. Before that, my uncle got so upset that Ibiki had to step in." Yua stressed. "I'm just wasting your time, please just go. Help the people who need it." She then told them. Ibiki stepped in front of Yua.
"You are someone who needs their help." Ibiki told her. "I'm not going anywhere." He added. Anko stared at Ibiki like he had grown another head. He was not the comforting type. Normally he would just handle the paperwork, evidence and on occasion arrests. He would always do the interrogations; it was his favourite part of the job. Yua gave him a small smile.
"I appreciate it, but there are people who need them more than me." She told him.
"How about a deal?" He asked, Anko was surprised once more. She was sure if it was anyone else, he would have left and wished them good luck. Then again, she was the polices best led to all mafia heads. May be Ibiki was thinking of the bigger picture and if getting close to her was the best way to get what the police what it needed, then so be it. "Let them search your home and test the paper for prints and residue. If they can't find anything, they'll leave you alone." He told her.
"If they do find something?" She asked.
"They stay around until they can't do anything more. Does that sound fair?" He asked and she nodded.
"Can I be there while you search?" She asked nervously, looking over at Anko and Iruka. "It just feels a bit weird letting you go through my things." She admitted and Ibiki nodded.
"That's fine, we should leave now to do it." He told her.
"Can I just go to the bathroom first?" She asked and Ibiki nodded. Yua moved quickly to the bathroom.
