Ibiki was sat in his office at the police station. It had been a week since he left Yua in her bar. He hadn't heard from her and she had refused to let him into her bar or answer the door to him. He missed her, he never thought anyone would affect him in such away.

A knock at his door brought him from his thoughts, it was Kakashi.

"Can I help you?" Ibiki asked, holding back his disgust. "Iruka-san is in the field right now."

"Tobirama is worried about Yua." Kakashi told him, ignoring the comment as he stepped into the office.

"She's frozen me out." Ibiki stated.

"She's missing." Kakashi told him before Ibiki could say much more. "After you left, she made both Tobirama and Madara leave. Her staff were then made to leave. No one has seen or heard from her since." He added.

"Is she hiding at home?" He then asked, he was not convinced that it was anything to worry about it.

"Her house is empty." This caught Ibiki's attention.

"Her furniture is gone?" He asked and Kakashi nodded. "What about her office and bar?" He then asked curious.

"Her staff have been left a message to continue as normal. Sai contacted everyone when he found her office bare as well." Kakashi explained and sighed. "We are all worried about her."

"So am I." Ibiki stated and stood up. "I would like to take a look." He added and Kakashi nodded, leading the way.

They went to her bar at first, seeing as it was the closest. Once they entered the office, Ibiki came face to face with Yua.

"It took you long enough Kakashi-san." Yua spoke up, Ibiki looked at him furious.

"You said she was missing!" He shouted; he had allowed his emotions to interfere with his head. He should have known this was a trick. But at the same time, why did Yua have to send Kakashi? He would have come to her with as little as a phone call.

"I will be soon enough." Yua spoke up, Ibiki looked at her confused. "Now you have a choice to make, and so do I." She added, making Ibiki even more confused. "We can start a new life or we can go our separate ways." She sighed and sat down on her desk. "Ibiki, I am Sato, the arms dealer." She told him and waited for his reaction. Ibiki simply stared at her. She should have known that he would be shocked. "The choice we have to make..." She stared but Ibiki interrupted her.

"If I can ignore your crimes or not?" She nodded.

"And if we both quit our jobs and make a life just for us. Or only I leave Konoha and you can do as you please."

"I can't just ignore it." He admitted and Yua stood up, giving him a sad smile.

"I realised that. I wanted to make it easier on you and just disappear." She told him. "But I owe you more than that." She added and looked up at him. "I love you and I would drop everything, even leave this life for you." She told him before looking down. "But I do understand that you took an oath to serve and protect. That my crimes wouldn't be something you could ignore."

"Then why tell me? You could have quit and stayed with me." Ibiki told her and she shook her head. "You could have kept quiet about it and I'd be none the wiser."

"My connections have informed me of a soon to be raid." She told him. "We have a rat and my time is almost up. I could not leave and keep it from you." She explained to him.

"Where will you go?" He asked, almost like a plea.

"I'm afraid, you can't know." She kissed him softly. "I do not wish to compromise you more than I already have. This is goodbye" She added. Ibiki kissed her back and held onto her.

"I love you." He told her.

"I love you too." With that, Yua quickly left the room, trying to keep herself calm. The last thing she wanted to do was break down in front of everyone.

Weeks past, Ibiki spent a large amount of his time just going through the motions. He was questioned after the police that raided Yua's bar and home. But everyone knew Ibiki was clueless. But he had never told anyone about Yua's confession to him. He couldn't, he couldn't betray her. The police couldn't find anything on her, nor could they find her. He hoped that Yua would contact him, tell him that she was ok. He hoped, she would come back him.

Six long months crawled by and still no word or sighting of Yua. But her absence had caused chaos. Ibiki truly believed that Yua was the peace keeper in the mafia world and without her influence, they had simply started warring. It appeared Yua had left her bar to Kakashi despite his betrayal or new home within the Senju. The rest of her staff had been kept on too, Ibiki wasn't sure if Kakashi had inherited her arms business but right now he didn't care. He could use the chance to go straight and have a fighting chance with Iruka. After all the pair had been on and off for many years now.

Madara was the first to start the war. From what Ibiki could gather, after Madara's younger brother's death, Madara, Hashirama and Tobirama had sat down with Yua and made a peace treaty. Now with Yua gone, no one was around to ensure the treaty was maintained Madara took his chance to attack. Hashirama, in the end, killed Madara but no one could be sure. Madara could not be found dead or alive and Hashirama had taken responsibility for it. Unfortunately for the police they had no body or evidence to do anything. The Uchiha family had now been swallowed up by the Senju. Ibiki was just waiting to see if Madara's only family, his two nephews would come to take his place but neither had been heard from. It was speculated that Itachi Uchiha, the oldest nephew had joined the Akatsuki in his college days and remained loyal to them. His younger brother, Sasuke, was believed to be with Orochimaru, somewhere near or in Suna. But now it was a war between the Senju and the Akatsuki.

Everyone was waiting for Suna to make a move to attack. For years Konoha and Suna had been at each others throats but Suna was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Many had believed that Orochimaru had gone to attack Suna as besides its strained relationship with Konoha, it was on the verge of civil war. It was thought that he would make the country his own, spelling nothing but trouble for the world. However, it seemed he hadn't or for whatever reason had failed.
