On with the story
Natsu stared at the Kraken girl as she looks at him with wide eyes
A second soon passed as her tentacles drops the little boat before the Kraken girl jumps into the ocean water, instantly swimming away
Natsu took a glance to her swimming away as he chuckled before disappearing
In the ocean water, the Kraken girl was swimming as fast as she can; away from her home and Natsu
She soon swims towards an underwater cave which she swims in before surfacing in a hidden tunnel
"haaaa….haaa….haaa…haaaa…I think I lost him" the squid girl said while water was dripping down her hair
"no" a voice spoke out as the girl's eyes widen and she snapped to the side, seeing Natsu leaning against the cave's wall with his arms crossed "you didn't"
The Kraken girl instantly tried to swim back into the ocean, but the ocean water was steaming and evaporating
"t-the seawater….is evaporating?!" she said in shock before looking to Natsu
"try to swim away and I'll be having boiled squid for a midnight snack" Natsu said as he holds his sword that was dipped into the boiling seawater
The Kraken girl gulped nervously as she backed away from Natsu, her tentacles shielding her
"it's strange…." Natsu said as he slowly approached her "..Kraken's are supposed to be calm and easy going race, but you….you're different"
"s-stay away!" she shouted at him, her eyes quivering in fear
"I see, you're not a true Kraken" Natsu said as he stood in front of her before kneeling down to look at her more closely "you…were once human, right?"
Her eyes widen in surprise as she stared at Natsu with wide eyes
"h-how did you…" she muttered out while looking bewildered
"know? I've had a hard time believing that a Kraken was attacking fishermen's boats in such shallow waters" Natsu said with a chuckle "my name is Lizardius Natsu Dragneel, the man who will become the future king of the world, yours?"
The kraken girl looks hesitant in replying as she looks away a bit before back to Natsu
"K-Kagura…Mikazuchi.." she muttered out as Natsu hummed
"beautiful name for such a beautiful girl" Natsu said as she blushed
"i-I'm not beautiful….i'm a monster" she said looking away in pure shame of her appearance, her voice sound so sad
"tell me, what caused your transformation? And why did you save old man Simon?" Natsu asked
"Simon…..he's…" Kagura muttered out "..my big brother"
A storm hits the port again as it was harsher than the one before
Happy watched the storm from a window in the lighthouse as the rain was not letting up
"another storm came" Happy said
"it's common here during this season" Simon said as he was in the middle of making a small wooden boat "but the storm is the least of our problem"
"it is?" Happy asked as Simon nodded while he started cutting some wood with a saw
"yeah, the storm gives rain, and rain makes the ocean water rise up even more" Simon explained "giving a perfect environment for that blasted Kraken to come and attack"
Happy looks at Simon before outside by the window as the storm blows hard and the ocean water was rising higher
"he's…your brother?" Natsu said looking at Kagura who nodded
"It was 20 years ago" Kagura said as her memories flooded her mind
Flashback
Kagura was a 9 year old girl and she was playing tag with a 11 year old boy who is Simon
I was still a normal girl back then, I always played tag with my big brother by the beach. Those were the best moment of my childhood
The scene soon changes as a storm hits the town. The rain nearly flooded the whole place
It was back then…when that monster came
Simon and Kagura watched the rising ocean water as giant glowing red eyes appeared in it before giant tentacles out
Simon pushed Kagura away before he was struck by one of the tentacles
That monster came from the ocean, it attacked and hurt my brother. Then it took me into the ocean
Kagura was caught by one of the tentacles as it was pulling her into the sea
Simon screamed out as his left eye was bloodied and wounded bad
Flashback
Drops of tear soon started dripping down Kagura's eyes as she looks at her hands
"I was cursed by that monster, it turned me into this!" Kagura exclaimed as she started to break into tears "I can't even show myself to my brother!"
"you don't know, do you?" Natsu said as Kagura looks to him "your brother…he thinks that you are dead"
"w-what?" Kagura said in surprise
"when you were attacked in the past, I think that it must've messed with his memories" Natsu said while pointing at his head "he thinks that you are dead and you are a mermaid who had saved him"Natsu stands up as he looks away "go and meet him, I'm sure he'll understand"
"b-but…I'm not human anymore" Kagura said
"it doesn't matter if you are human or not, you're still his little sister, right?" Natsu said while looking at her "family is the most important thing, after all"
the storm was hitting hard as it started to flood some parts of the town
Happy continued watching the storm by the window before seeing Simon looking at it beside him
"this storm….was exactly like the last one" Simon said as Happy looks confused to him
"the last one?" Happy asked as Simon nodded
"the storm from 20 years ago…." Simon said as he gritted his teeth in anger "…the same one when the Kraken came and attacked"
Soon, they heard an echoing sound that sounded like a whale but this sound was deeper and more gruff in a way
"what's this sound?" Happy asked while Simon went and grabbed a metal hook spear
"it's him!" Simon exclaimed as he grabs some rope and tied on the end of the spear "he's coming!"
"who?" Happy asked before closing his ears as a loud echoing roar soon rang out, causing the ground to rumble and shake
"the Kraken!" Simon exclaimed as he ran out of the lighthouse
"w-wait! It's dangerous to go out in this storm!" Happy exclaimed as Simon just ran to the town
Happy was in a decision-making moment, either he followed Simon or stayed behind
The latter chooses the first option
"wait!" Happy exclaimed while wearing a blue raincoat as the feline chased after Simon
The cave, Natsu and Kagura were in was shaking as they heard the loud echoing roar
"i-it came here!?" Kagura exclaimed in surprise as she looks at the shaking ceiling "w-why?!"
"go, your brother wants revenge against this monster," Natsu said "he might try and kill himself again"
Kagura nodded as she jumps into the water and swims away
"as for me" Natsu said as he takes out what looks to be a whistle made out of a bone "his territory should be right around here, right?"
The townsfolk were outside their home as they look to the ocean and they see giant tentacles coming out of the water
Before long, one of the tentacles slammed down on the town, instantly destroying a house
"my house!" one man shouted out before the giant tentacles started rampaging around and started destroying the town
The townsfolk started running away as they were fleeing in fear for their lives
Simon came running in as he sees the giant tentacles that were destroying the town
"so it came to finish me off but instead it attacked the town!" Simon exclaimed as he grips his metal hook spear "I won't let you be doing anything else, Kraken!"
"wait!" Happy exclaimed, running while trying to keep up with Simon
"Raaaah!" Simon throws his hook spear as it flied into the air before lodging onto one of the tentacles "bullseye!"
"look out!" Happy exclaimed as another giant tentacle came slamming down on the town before sliding to the side, towards Simon
"Gaaah!" Simon went flying as he soon crashed into the ocean water
"old man!" Happy exclaimed as thunder rang out everywhere in the sky
Simon was swimming up the water as he tried to surface
"damn! Not again!" Simon tried surfacing up before a giant tentacle wraps around him and binds hid body tight
"guuuuahhh!" Simon shouted out in pain, his airs from his lung escaping his mouth
The tentacles wrapped tighter on Simon's body as his bones were being crushed from inside out
Simon was soon face to face with the Kraken….or rather what looks like a Kraken
The giant monster looks to have the head of a giant greenish black octopus, but it had a body that was nearly covered in kelp, arms and legs that have claws, and wings behind its back.
The monster is a Cthulhu, a legendary creature of the deep sea that is very fearsome and evil. The Cthulhu are ancient creatures whose power rivals that of the Dragons. They are beings who could even be gods of the sea
The giant monster soon opened its mouth as razor sharp fangs like teeth appeared
Simon was getting pulled into the mouth as he looks to his imminent death
"I guess this is the end of the road for me" Simon thought as he looks at the giant mouth which was going to eat him "at least, I can finally meet my little sister on the other side"
Before the Cthulhu could eat Simon, Kagura came swimming at high speed as she sprayed out black ink squid at the Cthulhu, clouding its vision
Kagura soon grabs Simon as she pulled him out of the monster's tentacles and started swimming away
The Cthulhu let out a roar in the water as it tried to catch Kagura but failed
Reaching to the beach, Kagura drags Simon out of the water and placed him on the sandy beach
Simon started coughing out water as his eyes soon opened and he sees Kagura
"Ka..gu…ra?" he muttered out before smiling and looks to the raining storm above "I guess even in heaven, it's like hell"
Kagura shakes her head as she holds his hand "Nii-san, you're still alive"
"what?" Simon said as he sat up and looks at her before seeing her tentacles "Kagura….are those?"
"yes..ugh…they are" Kagura said as a tentacle wiggles around "uh…my tentacles?"
Simon blinked one time then two times before three times
"what's going on here?! If I'm not in heaven, then where am i!?" Simon said as he was shaking his head in pure confusion "am I in hell!?"
"you're still alive, nii-san. It' just that….i've been hiding away from you" Kagura said while frowning
"hiding?..Kagura..have you been…alive? All this time?...and you are now….half squid?" Simon said as Kagura looks to him and nodded "oh, Kagura..i-?!"
Before long Simon pushed Kagura away as a tentacle came and slammed him to the ground
"NII-SAN!" Kagura screamed as the tentacle pulled away and revealed Simon, in a crater that was in the form of the giant tentacle
"agh…ughh" Simon grunted out before he coughs out blood
"Nii-san!" Kagura tried to go to him, but the giant tentacle grabbed her and lifts her up "Nii-san!"
Soon the giant monster came out of the sea as it rises up
The Cthulhu let out a roar as it looks at Kagura who tried to break out of the Cthulhu's tentacle
It soon opens its mouth as it plans to eat Kagura
Kagura sees its mouth as she sprayed out ink into the mouth but she soon ran out of ink to shoot out
"I'm empty?!" Kagura looks in shock as she was dropped into the mouth
Kagura screamed as she was falling into the mouth before Natsu came flying in and grabs her, just before the Cthulhu could bite down on her
"y-you!?" Kagura look at Natsu in surprise as the Dragon man nodded to her before he flies away form a tentacle that tried to grab them
"hold on" Natsu said as his wings flap once and they soar up to the sky high before floating up
The Cthulhu roared at them as its wings soon spreads out
"it can fly!?" Kagura said in surprise
"it can…" Natsu said as he sees something stirring up the water behind the Cthulhu "..but I don't think he will let it"
The Cthulhu flaps its wings as it tried to flies up but failed as a giant and long black tail wraps around its body and pulled it down to the ocean water
"what was that?" Kagura said as the Cthulhu was dragged into the water by something and she soon sees a giant snake like creature with eight heads coming out of the water, roaring and then dives into the water "a-a snake?!"
"meet the one and only predator of the Cthulhu, the Baltic Hydra" Natsu said as the Hydra Like creature's eight heads bites down on the Cthulhu's body and head, the green sea creature was roaring in pain
"b-but….aren't the Baltic Hydra?" Kagura muttered out as Natsu was floating down while they watch the two monsters battled each other
"only found in the Triangle Ocean waters? Yes, but this one is rather a pet of mine" Natsu replied
The Hydra bites down on the Cthulhu before one of the heads rips the creature's arm off, causing the Cthulhu instantly roared out as green blood sprayed out of its hand
Coiling its tail around the Cthulhu's body, the Baltic Hydra roared out before the 8 heads sprayed out some sort of green slime from their mouths
The green slime sprayed all around the Cthulhu before the creature roared out as its skin was melting
The Hydra roared out as it bites down on the Cthulhu, making the two monsters crashed into the oceans water
the storm slowly disappeared as the sky cleared up and the sun instantly shined from the sky
"it's over" Natsu said as he flies down and landed at the beach before setting Kagura down
Kagura instantly went to Simon who was laying on the ground, motionlessly with Happy beside him
"nii-san!" Kagura cried out as the old man looks to be still alive but barely
"Ka..gura…" Simon muttered out as Happy looks sadly and shakes his head
Kagura's eyes widen as Happy was telling her that Simon won't make it alive
"I'm…really glad…that…you are…alive" Simon muttered out with a smile as he lifts his hand up to reach to her
Kagura instantly holds his hand as she started to cry in tears
"all these years…..you've been alive…..i'm so…..glad" Simon said as he chuckled a bit "my baby sister…..all grown…up…into a beautiful girl…."
"b-but…I'm a monster now" Kagura said in tears as Simon shakes his head lightly
"what are….you saying?" Simon asked her as his eyes slowly started to close "…no matter…what…form..you take….you're…still my….precious….little sister"
Simon soon coughs out some blood as he exhaled slowly
"nii-san! Please! Please! Don't leave!" Kagura begged him as Simon's life was slowly slipping away
"Do you want to save him?" Natsu spoke out as he stood beside her "his life?"
Kagura looks to him then to her brother and then back to Natsu
"c-can you….really save him?" Kagura asked as he nodded
"if that is what you desire, then I will grant it" Natsu said before a scroll came floating towards Kagura before un scrolling itself and revealing it to be a Magic Contract "that is…if you are willing to pay the cost"
The scroll floats towards Kagura as she holds it in her hands
"sign it, and I'll assure you that your brother will live" Natsu said as Kagura looks at him then to the contract
She kissed her finger as it was covered in ink before she writes her name on the contract
The scroll soon rolled up before floating towards Natsu who grabbed it
"contract acquired, thanks for hiring" Natsu said as he kneels down beside Simon while taking off his armored gloves
Slash!
Natsu cuts his right hand with his left as blood seeps out from it
The blood soon drips into Simon's mouth as a few drops followed in
Before long, Simon's body glowed before dimming
"the contract is completed" Natsu said as he stands up and backs away to let Kagura in
Kagura holds Simon's hand as she felt his heartbeat
"ugh..ughh…" Simon grunted as he slowly opened his eyes and looks at Kagura before his lips curved into a smile "Kagura…"
"Nii-san!" Kagura exclaimed in tears as she hugs him while starting to cry
Simon sat up as he gave his sister a proper hug in return
Happy cried a few tears while Natsu, he just walks away to let them be
