Hey everyone I'm back! with the 3rd chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh Persona!. I hope you all enjoy!
A couple months back: Date: April 9th
"In about 10 minutes we'll arrive at New York city, if this is your destination please get ready to leave this train" The sound of a lady over the speaker would wake me from my slumber. I would look around seeing multiple people talking and whispering among themselves.
Memories of a few weeks back would flash through my mind. 'Argh, It's unfair on how I was sent here. All I did was try to help some lady but all I got was sent to a few years of probation, Utterly ridiculous.' My thoughts would come to a halt when the train would stop.
"Hm, I guess this is my stop…
my new home away from home for two years…" I would quickly head out. heading to the streets to find out where I'll be staying. My aunts 'nice friend' decided It'll be best for him to look after me to 'teach me some respect.'
I knew that was a lie the moment I heard it. He only said that so he can get some free labor in that failure he calls a restaurant. 'I'm honestly surprised it's still in business.' I thought as I looked around the city taking in the clean air.
'despite the fact that it's shitty that I'm here. I can't deny the fact that this is a beautiful city. Full of so many vibrant buildings and people, and… that smell…mmm' the aroma of delicious pepperoni pizza filled the air making my stomach grumble.
"Damn it, they could at least send me here with some Extra cash for food!! that pizza smells so good!!" I complained. 'But enough complaining, I mean sure it sucks that you're here, and it sucks they left you with no money for food.
However, I'm in a nice, beautiful city, away from my horrible aunt. And hey, if I suck up to the owner of that restaurant enough maybe he'll let me explore New York some more. I'll be able to find people to duel, improve my skills, and make new friends. At least I can try to enjoy my time here, complaining about it will get me nowhere.'
Interrupting my thoughts was a beep coming from my phone. Looking at it a bit shocked that I even got a message. Since, I don't have many friends. However, I was even more shocked by what I saw. It wasn't a message at all, it was a strange app with a blood red background and a black eye. "Hm? I don't remember installing this." I murmured curiously wondering how'd it get on my phone, and what it did.
My curiosity got the better of me as I decided to open it. Suddenly I heard all the sounds and vibrations stop. Confused, I would look around completely shocked.
"T-times… frozen…" I would do a quick 180 in complete confusion. My movements stopped when I saw a Silverlike flame in the center of the street. it erupted flames shooting in the air, reflecting off my glasses before making a dragon-like shape.
I felt my heart stop when it's Shadowy purple eyes stare at mine as if it was looking into my soul. Soon it would suddenly vanish as time returned to normal. Everyone walked away as if nothing had happened.
"Weird… what was that" I would quickly delete the app. I don't know what kind of trouble an app like that would cause me. It's best to be safe than sorry.
After that little incident, I went to the train station to make my way to Harlem. Arriving in the afternoon I would step out of the train looking around. "Man, this place looks like shit" I murmured. There were a few people around half who looked scared out of their mind.
The other half was either smoking, or drinking some substance I'm sure was illegal. Every building was an accurate representation of this place, Cheap, ran down, and dangerous. It wasn't nearly as vibrant as the main city. There definitely wasn't that clean air, or the aroma of pizza in the air. In fact, the only thing I smelled was booze and drugs.
'why do I get these strange feelings that someone's watching me.' I thought to myself as I shivered a bit beginning to walk. "It's probably nothing," I murmured. The rattling of a can from behind me quickly proved me wrong. I would quickly turn around my heart pounding.
"W-who's there," I shouted, my legs feeling like jelly. I did not want to get in any type of fight, I would easily lose. The sound of laughter could be heard as three tall men with melee weapons and thuggish clothes would walk out.
One of them had loads of piercings, jewelry and face filler with tattoos, making it clear he was the leader. The guy on the left was a chubby fellow, with similar clothing and tattoos armed with a bat in his hand. Finally, the guy on the right was a skinny guy with pale colored skin and a scar above his eye. He was armed with an Axe.
"Heh heh… what's wrong… you don't need to be scared of us" The leader would tell me walking up to me. Good thing they didn't surround me so I could easily run away "we hardly ever get company around. So we want to give you a proper welcoming." The chubby guy on the left would say to me walking next to the leader
'I wonder why you don't get much company… I do not want to know what kind of welcome you guys are planning to give with those weapons' I thought, almost saying out loud but quickly stopping myself. I knew if I did my body parts were going to be in someone's trash can.
"Um thanks," I murmured frightenedly trying to get them to leave me alone. The skinny guy on the right would laugh "Aww… he's thankful, Well since you are you can show us your appreciation by handing over your cards."
I looked up at the 3, "m-my cards?" My deck was in my back pocket. It holds some of my most prized cards. I couldn't just give it to them. "Yeah, All of them… and any money or precious belongings you may have"
The leader would respond tapping his foot impatiently. 'No way I'll do that' thinking quickly I turned on my heels and sprinted away from the three. "Hey!! Get back here, " the skinny guy would yell at me as the three chased me.
I would run through the sidewalk going through alleyways and stairways to trying lose them, but was unsuccessful. They continued to run after me only a few feet away. "Man… these guys are hard to shake" I murmured as I would get to the top of a building with nowhere to go but down.
I was soon backed up breathing heavily. Behind me was the edge, If I jump down I would definitely be sent straight to lady death. In front of me were three thugs with weapons and a murderous look in their eyes. I didn't want to know what they were planning to do and I didn't want to find out.
"It looks like you have nowhere to run" the leader would say with a chuckle. "if you give up your belongings without hesitation I'll make your death a quick and painless one." He would take a step forward as I would step back almost going over the edge.
Across from me was another short building. I could possibly jump to it if I jump far enough. 'Hmm… to get stabbed or possibly meet my demise having my body splat to the ground. Decisions, decisions,' I thought as I would look at the guys walking slowly to them.
The skinny guy chuckled,
"I see you finally came to your senses." I looked at them with a smirk. Nah, I just needed room to make my jump" I would state quickly turn on my heels taking off towards the edge. The leader tried to grab me and ended up opening my deck holder but I didn't slow down for anything.
I quickly jumped off the edge soaring through the air for a minute before rolling on the next building with a thud. 'Argh… my whole body hurts now I thought knowing for sure I broke something. However, I had no time to think about that. I had to get away from there. I quickly shut my deck pocket and headed down the building.
Luckily a few blocks down was my new guardian place, and at the door waiting for him was the lazy piece of shit himself, Jeremiah Strong
And cut!! that's all for chapter 3 I hope you all enjoy. now I decided to make Yu-Gi-Oh apart of the main society. its sorta like the 2nd thing that keeps society rolling. money would be the first thing. Since duel monster cards have the potential to start problems and could perfectly fit into the world of persona i thought it was a good idea for it to be culturalize. now another change was changing the location and Guardian. I think new york is the perfect place to do this. especially since I understand most of the U.S laws and a few things about how new york is. as for the Guardian I wanted to make it someone Yuito completely despises but would soon end up growing onto him. he's sorta going to be like Sojiro but with a few key difference.

Yeah sorry about that, I don't think I could write a character like Akira as good as any other characters I'm good at writing. though I do think him and yuesi would be great friends for a story like that. as for the decks you bring up some good ideas. I'm trying to make decks due to there personalities and maybe due to different attributes. Since Ruyji is more reckless and dare I say maybe hot headed he might be good with a fire type deck. Since Ann is extremely on the positive side always thinking positive I would think to give her a light deck with a bit of darkness to signify when she's upset. Morgana is mixed for me I don't know what to give him. I like the plant idea for Haru, I haven't seen her character yet but I think from the little I've seen she might be a sweet girl so I'd give her aromages. her Ace could be black rose dragon. thanks for the review
