On with the story
2 and a half weeks soon passed after Natsu and Erza's mating ceremony
Things in Dragnof been great as the kingdom was a quarter filled with citizens
Natsu was walking on the streets of his kingdom as the citizens greeted him
"morning, your majesty!" "faring well, King!?" "thank you truly for our new home, my king!" they all greeted Natsu who waved to them in hello
Natsu soon made his way to a large temple as it was decorated with statues of Dragons and was in the middle of being built by some workers
"good morning, our king!" the workers greeted Natsu who waved to them before the Dragon King entered the temple
Upon entering the temple, Natsu made his way into a torch lit pathway as he reached the end
Inside the temple is the Sky Dragon Grandeeney whose wounds and scars are being treated by some Cait Siths and humans who are medicine experts
"how is she?" Natsu asked as a Cait Sith ran to him
"aye, Wendy-san's injuries were small and they won't leave a scar" the Cait Sith replied as Natsu watches the medicine team, patching up Grandeeney's wings "but Grandeeney-san's wounds are far worse than hers, it might take a whole year for her wings to heal perfectly"
A week before, Grandeeney underwent healing by the Cait Siths and the humans who knew healing technique. The Sky Dragon and her child injured like the slaves were treated but Grandeeney's wounds were far deeper
"all that matters is that she will live, and that is fine" Natsu said as the Cait Sith nodded before the rest of the medic team leaves the premises
"truly grateful, my king" Grandeeney spoke out as the Sky Dragon did a bow to the Dragon man
"it is nothing" Natsu replied as he takes off his helmet "have you come to like Dragnof as it is now?"
"yes" Grandeeney said with a nod and smiled "the city I was born in, now even more majestic and peaceful than ever before. The kingdom is truly amazing, and it is thanks to you, my king"
"Thank you" Natsu replied with a short bow "is your child liking the city too?"
"quite so" Grandeeney stated as Wendy had been loving the city, everyone's nice and friendly. Wendy is right now at the library as she was reading the books of Dragons, learning everything about being a Dragon "returning to the kingdom, and being protected in it. As a mother, I cannot wish for such graceful blessings to be given upon us"
"I knew you would say that" Natsu stated with a smile and a chuckle "I wish to ask a favour, Grandeeney"
"Anything, my king" Grandeeney replied with a bow
"as you may know, my mates bear my children. I who is a Crosians, only know such few things of being a Dragon"Natsu stated to her "I ask of you, when the time comes; when my children are brought to this world. Please be their mentors in learning the proud and peaceful ways of the Dragons"
"it shall be an honour, my king" Grandeeney said with a smile "and I am sure that your children and my daughter shall be great companions with each other"
"yes, I truly desire that" Natsu said with a chuckle
Natsu now walks away from the temple as the Dragon King spreads his wings before flying up to the sky
Soaring into the sky, Natsu looks upon his city; it was bustling with people in some parts of the town but in some, it was empty
"KING!" someone shouted out as Natsu looks down and sees Gajeel waving at him to come down
Doing as was asked, Natsu flied down before landing near Gajeel
"what is it?" Natsu asked Gajeel
"we have a little something that I think you need to see" Gajeel stated as he leads Natsu to the Dragnof's law enforcing building which was built by Natsu
Entering in, Natsu sees other members of the law enforces who saluted him before pulling their hands down and walks out
"this is it" Gajeel said as he takes out a crate nearby and place it on a table
Natsu went near as Gajeel opened the crate, inside were necklaces and they had scarlet reddish white coloured scales
"yesterday, one of the fishing boats found this crate floating in the ocean. Bringing it back here after finding its content" Gajeel said as Natsu grabs a necklace and looks at the scale "what do you think it is?"
"it's a Dragon Scale" Natsu said as he looks at the scale and then grabbed another, checking it "and these are recently moulted from one"
Natsu place the necklaces back into the crate and then carried it all up
"I'll be going on another adventure, make sure to protect the kingdom in my absence" Natsu said as Gajeel nodded before the Dragon King went out, spreads his wings and flies away
The day soon turned to midnight as Natsu was in the library, reading a book while holding a necklace scale in hand
"this scale…." Natsu muttered out as he sees on the pages of the book, a picture of a Dragon having a sphere in one of its claws before he flips the page but he sees the next page was torn from the book "…it's torn?"
Natsu flips the page around but he sees more of the pages torn from the book
"what is going on?" Natsu thought as he has no idea on why some pages were there torn out of the book. Natsu sniffed the book as he smelled a feminine scent coming from it "a woman's scent?...no, this is a female Dragon's scent…but who?"
"what are you doing?" a voice spoke as Natsu looks to the side and sees Lucy wearing a night coat while holding a tray of tea
"that is what I should be saying to you" Natsu told her as he placed the book down while Lucy walks near him, placing the tray by the table "you should be resting for the health of our child"
"i was feeling rather thirsty, so I went to make tea" Lucy replied as she poured some tea into a cup and then some milk "and I see you reading some books in the middle of the night"
"the middle of the night?" Natsu said before looking to the window and sees the night "I guess I lost track of time"
"I suppose you did" Lucy said giving the cup of tea to him
"thanks" Natsu said as he took a sip and licks his lips a bit "sweet"
Natsu sips more as he likes the sweet taste of the tea
"this taste good" Natsu said as he drinks the whole cup
"thanks, it was mixed with my breast milk after all" Lucy said before Natsu chokes and started coughing
"-cough- -cough- w-what?!" Natsu exclaimed in surprise
"just kidding~" Lucy said while sticking her tongue out
"you could've made me choke" Natsu said "tea mixed your breast milk…what a joke"
"yeah" Lucy said as she had a teasing smile to her king "or maybe it's really is my breast milk"
"very funny" Natsu said as Lucy poured her more tea and milk
"what were you looking for anyway?" Lucy asked while pouring herself a cup of tea
"this" Natsu said as he holds the scale necklace
"a necklace?" Lucy asked looking at the necklace "with a scale?"
"a Dragon's scale" Natsu said while holding the scale up "a female Dragon scale. And it's a recently moulted one"
"are you thinking that there…might be another female Dragon other than Grandeeney-san?" Lucy asked as Natsu nodded
"but this scale is too small for it to be from a large one" Natsu said as he opens the page where the picture of the Dragon is "so I read the books and found out that it came from this species"
"an Ehcisen Dragon" Lucy said looking at the picture and sees the Dragon having a serpent body, with no wings "is it a sea Dragon? And what is it holding?"
"it's no sea Dragon, it's a Heavenly Dragon" Natsu explained before pointing to the sphere in one of its claws "that's the Dragon's Treasure, it's Will of Heaven."
"a Heavenly Dragon? Will of Heaven? I never heard of such things" Lucy said while tracing her finger on the picture
"that's because the Heavenly Dragon are considered to be the species of Dragons who have power rivalling the gods in heaven, naming itself the Heavenly Dragon." Natsu explained "but, in the books these Dragons were stated as myths even by other Dragons. Not even existing in this world"
"but, there's a picture of it here" Lucy stated to the book while pointing at it
"merely a picture of it" Natsu said before flipping the page, showing Lucy the torn pages "the information of it were torn out"
Natsu sighs as he rubs his hands to his face before rubbing his hair
"every book I came across with were the same" Natsu said while motioning to the books around him and the stack near him "all information of these Dragons are nearly gone, it's like someone didn't want anyone to know of them"
Natsu sighs again as he was tired already
"hey" Lucy holds Natsu's shoulder as he pulled his head to her chest, hugging him gently "I know that you want to find this Dragon species, but you have to rest. Everyone needs rest even for someone like you"
"I know, but I always thought that I was the last one" Natsu replied as Lucy sat on his lap while the man hugs her close "I always thought that I am and always be alone, but it changed when I found Grandeeney-san and Wendy. Finding them made me realized something…what if there are still Dragons in this world? Hiding from our sights…"
"and you want to find them, then bring them to the kingdom. Repopulating the Dragon Race once again" Lucy whispered gently as she caressed his head "I know, but you won't be able to if you don't rest"
Lucy looks at Natsu as she caresses his face before pecking his forehead
"you can find the Dragons for another time….right now, rest" Lucy told him with a smile
Natsu looks at her before he sighs and leans to her chest, snuggling himself into it
"yeah….i should sleep" Natsu said as Lucy caresses his head, combing his salmon pink hair
Lucy hugs him close while Natsu's hands gently caresses her back
"you know, I'm somehow craving for that sweet taste from the tea" Natsu said "it tasted really sweet"
"is that so?" Lucy said as the two leans away before she unbuttons her top and reveals her breast to him "then…drink as much as you want"
"I thought that you were joking at first" Natsu said with a chuckle before he leans and sucks on her right breast "but…your milk does taste very sweet"
Lucy giggled to him as she hugs him gently while he suckles on her milk
She started humming a lullaby as she pats Natsu's head a few times, like a mother nursing an infant
The two stayed in the library while the night outside was calm and quiet
A thousand miles away from Dragnof, at a cave
Within the cave, torch lights a pathway inside as it was leading to a Japanese style shrine
Light glowed within the shrine as a shadow of a serpent like tail sways around within before the shadow of a woman was soon seen
