A week had passed as it was at the end fall and with it, came winter
Snow rain down upon Dragnof, covering the kingdom in white
Natsu was at the port as the snow had frozen the kingdom's waterway, making the fishing boats stuck in place
"we can't go out to fish like this" Simon said as he wear some winter clothes "I swear that this winter is more harsher than any one that I've seen"
"that's a granted because Dragnof is nearly high in a mountain level" Natsu said as he taps the frozen sea water with his foot "how deep is the water frozen?"
"nearly about the surface" Simon replied as Flames rages around Natsu's fists
"stand back" Natsu said as he raises his flaming fists up before slamming them down on the ice, causing it to shatter and break
The water soon breaks and shatters as the blocks of ice floats around
"I don't think that's going to be enough to break the ice" Simon said while rubbing the back of his head "especially the frozen waterfall outside"
"I guess I have to do this personally" Natsu said as he rolled his shoulders around before jumping into the cold ocean water
Diving in, Natsu swims down and he finds the Baltic Hydra sleeping in hibernation because of winter
Natsu floats in the middle of the water before his body soon glowed red
"Raaaaahh!" Natsu roared out in the water as his body soon ignites in flames even in the cold water
The cold water temperature soon rising as the ice started to melt
Natsu soon came jumping out of the ocean water as the ice had now melted
"look" Simon said as the water was slowly freezing again "it froze again so quickly"
"damnit, I don't think that we're facing normal winter" Natsu said as he looks to the now frozen again ocean water before looking up to the snowy clouds above "I think that someone is causing this to happen"
"someone? Who can make snow this bad?" Simon asked "is that even possible?"
"I don't know, but I intend to find out" Natsu said as he crossed his arms
Natsu was in a castle, his castle that once belong to his father
The King was looking at the snow through the large windows and sees how it was covering his kingdom
"my king" a soldier came in from the door as Warta and Gajeel were behind him "Councilmen Warta, and Captain Gajeel are here to see you"
"yes" Natsu replied as he took a glance back then to the snow outside
Warta and Gajeel went inside as the guard closed the door
"I suppose that you two know why I called you in?" Natsu asked as the two nodded
"this winter is harsher than any winter that I've ever seen in my lifetime" Warta said while rubbing his chin "I truly believe that we might have a trouble upon our hands"
"you ain't kidding," Gajeel replied while crossing his arms "the water's frozen, snow is piling up as thick as it gets. We're going to have trouble to survive against it"
"I know" Natsu said "but this winter isn't normal, it usually takes 3 days for snow to come during the winter season, but it came too early"
"what are you implying, my king?" Warta asked
"what I'm implying is that we might have someone causing this heavy winter" Natsu said as he turns around and looks to the two "someone from the north"
"from the north?" Warta said while rubbing his chin "there's a race that can cause this harsh winter?"
"indeed" Natsu replied "and I believe it's the Icians"
"you've got to be kidding me" Gajeel said "the Icians are a race that never does any conflict whatsoever, they don't even do anything outside their borders of territory"
"but it might be a different story if they were to say..been attacked?" Warta implied as this got Gajeel thinking of the possibility
"we don't know of that" Natsu said before looking to the falling snow outside "but I will know it when I get there"
"what of the Kingdom, my king?" Warta asked as Natsu looks outside and sees how the snow was getting thicker
"my Uncle can produce some heat barrier that surrounds the kingdom, it will keep the kingdom warm for the time being" Natsu said "if we do not find the source of the problem, the kingdom will be in peril of freezing to death"
"in the meantime, ration food supplies" Natsu told the two "we don't know how long this harsh winter will last"
"yes" Warta and Gajeel replied with a nod
Natsu walks around in the hallway of his castle as he reached to a giant door
The door opened as inside is Natsu's room and it was occupied by his mates and children
he went to the fireplace where Lucy, Kagura, Éclair, Erza, and Kagura were at
"you're back" Éclair greeted him while having her Dragon egg on her lap, Momon was beside her but he was sleeping with Éna and Neel in a basket
"how was the meeting?" Kagura asked as her tentacles carried Kaithen and Levia who were sleeping because of the winter
"good in a way" Natsu said as he throws a block of wood in the fire, making the room stay warm and the fire alive "I'll be going off again to find the cause of this harsh winter"
"cause? Are you saying that this harsh winter isn't normal?" Erza asked while sitting on a chair, her hands on her pregnant stomach as she was a few days till her child is born
"yeah, I think that the Icians are responsible for this" Natsu said as he kneels down and petted Flaze's head, the little Reptile sleeping near the fire
"but the Icians never does any actions nor will they do any harm to other races" Lucy said while having Touro on her lap, the little Bull Dragon sleeping as usual
"that's what Gajeel said" Natsu replied as he sighs "we think that something might had happen there and cause this to happen"
"an attack upon the Icians, perhaps?" Kamika asked while wearing warm clothes to warm her body and her growing child within
"yeah" Natsu said as he throws more wood into the fire before looking to the windows as the winter was freezing fast "I have to find the cause before the Kingdom freezes in ice"
"are you going alone?" Éclair asked with a worried frown
"don't worry" Natsu said with a grin "I'm never alone, am i?"
"right about that" Lucy said smiling as the other mates smiled as well
"be going off then" Natsu said as he gave his mates a kiss and then to his kids before his armor appeared and equipped upon him
Natsu was now off to north as he with Happy rides on top of Ceros
"are you sure that we shouldn't have Ceros guard the entrance, Natsu!?" Happy exclaimed while wearing a coat to stay warm "this might bring a big danger to the kingdom!"
"it'll be fine" Natsu replied "Barta and the Dark Elves can help in guarding the entrance with the soldiers. In the meantime, we need to get there at high speed and Ceros is the best option, aren't you boy?"
Ceros' three heads barked at the same time as the Cerberus runs through the snowstorm
The Cerberus jumped over a large crevice crack as it landed on the other side before continuing to run
In matter of minutes, they reached to the northern forest area as everything was covered in snow
"winter sure is harsher here" Happy said as they were running through a blizzard "I can barely see anything!"
Natsu looks forward before he looks to the forest as he sees blueish blurs running in the trees
"we've got company" Natsu said as Happy looks at him then to the forest before seeing the blurs running in the trees
"what are those?" Happy asked before Ceros went to stop, going to a brake on the snow "waaah!"
Happy nearly fell off but Natsu caught him before pulling him up
Natsu looks in front and sees the reason why Ceros went to a stop as there was long and tall ice spikes covering the path
Then, the blizzard got stronger as it now hailed ice
"we've reached far enough" Natsu said as he grabs Happy and jumped off Ceros "get back to Dragnof, Ceros"
Ceros barked before the Cerberus soon ran back to the direction of Dragnof
"eeeeh!? Then how will we get back home!?" Happy exclaimed to Natsu who grabs his magic gun and broad sword, he looks around the area as glowing blue eyes appeared around the trees "iiih! Glowing blue eyes everywhere!"
They soon giggling and chuckling as it came from everywhere
"seems like we don't need to find the Icians" Natsu said as many blue skin coloured women and men came out of the forest, all looking to have ice like clothing upon them "they found us"
"they surround us!" Happy screamed while clinging onto Natsu's back
"Glacies, Yuki-Onna, and Yetis" Natsu said as he looks around and sees that there were at least 50 of them around them "I'm surprised to see that they would be around this area"
Before long, two male Glacies approached Natsu and Happy
They wore ice like armor around their body, and their right hand holds a blade made out of ice that is sharp as a metal sword
"you got some nerve coming here, human" one of them spoke out as he had navy blue hair
"and you told your pet to run away" the other who had whitish grey hair stated next "you won't be leaving here so easily"
"Natsu…what are we going to do?" Happy whispered while shaking in fear
"one thing only" Natsu said as he drops his magic gun and broad sword before holding his hands up "we surrender"
"eeeeh!?" Happy shouted out in surprise, his eyes bulging out "Surrender!?"
Happy started wailing at Natsu who just holds his hands up in surrender
The two male Glacies looks at them before to each other and tilts their head in confusion
A few miles north far from where Natsu and Happy were
There was a kingdom of ice, with a beautiful blue aurora flowing in the sky
Snow rages surround it, covering it in a barrier made out of ice
Within the kingdom, there were Glacies, Yetis, Yuki-onna, and even Tsurara Onna. All living peacefully in the tundra of ice

Within the kingdom's castle, a group of human men were on their knees, trembling in fear
In front of them, sitting on a throne was the Ice Queen, ruler of the kingdom of ice
The Ice Queen, the most powerful being of Ice. A puff of their breath creates snow, a sigh turns into a blizzard. Their mere existence causes air cold enough to freeze even the heart to drift throughout the region. The Ice Queen governs all beings living with the cold ice snow. It is said that an ice Queen has a cold heart that does not care the sake of others
One man was kneeling in front of the ice queen who is wearing an ice covered blue navy garment that showed partially her bosom and stomach, the Ice queen had light blue skin like the Glacies, Yuki-Onna, and Tsurara Onna. She also had a staff of ice beside her, leaning against her throne of ice. The queen had navy purple hair that somehow is odd as a normal Ice Queen has light blueish hair
The queen sat with her legs crossed, her staff standing by her throne. Flower petals were on the floor as the Ice Queen was picking petals off a flower
"he loves me…he loves me not…he loves me…he loves me not…he loves me" the queen spoke out as she picked the petal one by one before she reached the final one
The man shakes and started whimpering in fear as the last sentence was "he loves me" and that would mean that the next sentence is not going to be good for him
"he loves me not" the Ice Queen said as she threw the flower aside and looks at the man in front of him with cold dark blueish eyes "as I had expected..you are not worthy to give me love"
She grabs her staff as it shines blue before the Ice Queen pointed the tip at the man who was now crying
"s-s-s-save me!" the man screamed before a blast of ice fired from the staff and froze him in a block of ice
"not this one too" the Ice Queen said as she touched the ice encased man before swinging her staff, breaking the ice and the man inside into thousands of pieces
White vapor like smoke arises out of the shattered ice before flying into the queen's ice staff as it is the man's life force
"next" she said as a yeti man kicks a human man towards the ice queen who looks at him
"you are rather young" the Ice Queen stated while looking at the man emotionlessly before a Glacie came and presented the queen, a white flower "I do hope that you might be worthy of giving me love"
The young man now shakes in fear as the Ice Queen started picking off the flower's petals one by one while stating "he loves me", "he loves me not" each time
