On with the story

A few days had passed

Natsu was in his castle, resting on his bed with his kids laying around him. Kaithen and Levia on the man's face, Touro on his chest, Éna and Neel on both sides of his head, and Flaze on his stomach. Even with them on him, Natsu still slept

The Dragon man soon grunted as he was waking up

His kids woke up too as Kaithen and Levia squeaks before firing squirts of water at Natsu

Natsu immediately sat up as his kids fell off him but not Ena and Neel who were beside him

He rubs the water off his face before seeing his kids squeaking to him

"out of all the things" Natsu said as he sighs before yawning "why do you two always have squirt water?"

Kaithen and Levia just tilts their heads with a squeak as the two didn't understand what their father was saying

"why did I bother?" Natsu said sighing before petting Touro's head as the little Bull Dragon nuzzles to him

The door to his room was soon opened as Lucy and the others came in

"you're awake, thank god" Lucy said, entering first before Kagura, and Kamika followed in

"how long was I out?" Natsu asked as Kaithen, Levia, and Flaze started to try and climb up on him

"nearly a week" Kagura replied as they all took a seat near the bed "you really had us worried"

"sorry" Natsu said as he scratches Kaithen's chin, getting the little Storm Dragon to let out a growling purr "just had to make sure that my kingdom and people will survive"

"and you as well" Kamika stated "a kingdom without a king is nothing"

"she's right, you know" Lucy said as Natsu shrugs his shoulders

"I'll try" Natsu said before realizing that two of his mates weren't with them "where's Éclair and Erza?"

"right here" Éclair's voice spoke out as she and Erza came into the room but they weren't alone

"don't tell me…." Natsu uttered out as both of his mates were carrying Dragon Hatchlings "they…they were born already?"

"yes" Erza said as she carried a little Scarlet colored Dragon hatchling that looks identical to Natsu's Dragon form but had no horns, a long tail, and giant folded wings "and they're beautiful"

"agreed" Éclair said as her little hatchling had golden colored scales, no front arms just back legs, wings that are in a nearly golden colour, and a long golden horn on the tip of its head

Natsu quickly got out of bed before he suddenly fell down, his legs are still dormant because of how long he was asleep

"don't be so hasty" Lucy said smiling as Kagura helps the Dragon King sat on his bed with her tentacles

Éclair and Erza went to Natsu as they passed their children to him

Natsu looks at his two new children as they look at him with innocent eyes

"have they been named?" Natsu asked with a smile as he petted Éclair's hatchling before the little golden Dragon sneezes out a puff of flames

"yes, but we were waiting for you to wake up so to see if you would like the names we had chosen" Erza stated

"any name will do" Natsu said "what I care the most is that they are born healthy and both of you are safe"

"then" Éclair said as she petted her hatchling's head with a smile "I named him, Kalard. After my father, Kalard"

"perfect" Natsu said as he petted Kalard's head "you shall be named Kalard, the Golden Dragon"

Kalard squeaks as it sneezes a puff of flames again before Natsu looks to the other hatchling

"I named her Ignisia" Erza said as Natsu scratches Ignisia's chin

"why name her that?" Natsu asked before seeing Ignisia blazing in flames, and that made Natsu chuckle "I see. then you will be named Ignisia, the Blaze Dragon"

Ignisia squeaks before nuzzling to Natsu's arm

Natsu chuckled as Kaithen and the others squeaks at their siblings who squeaked back

Soon enough; Kaithen, Levia, Flaze, Kalard, and Ignisia jumped at Natsu's face, the Dragon man laughing as they started licking him

"hey hey! I know that you miss playing but don't start licking!" Natsu laughed out as his mates smiled to him

Éclair sat down as her Éna and Neel flied to her lap and nuzzles down

Touro just jumps down the bed before going to his mother and jumped to her lap, rested down to sleep again

"aren't you going to join them?" Lucy asked her son who just sleeps which make her giggle "little sleepy head"

While the big family was having a happy moment, outside; the winter storm was gone but at the western part of the kingdom; the Ice kingdom had falling snow over and over

After Natsu got up, the Dragon King walked in his kingdom as he sees his people living together with the Icians of the Ice Kingdom

"my king!" Warta exclaimed as the Dark Elf came running in "you are awake!"

"yeah, just about an hour ago" Natsu replied with a smile as he looks at his city "looks like you did it, Warta. I knew I could count on you while I was resting"

"thank you for your praise, my king. But there are some things that needs your hand in settling" Warta said as he handed Natsu a few letters

"great" Natsu said as he takes them and looks through them all

Natsu hummed in amusement as it was a letter from the Human Kingdom's King who invited him to have a conversation. Natsu looks at the other letters as he finds an invitation of discussion with the Elf Kingdom too. Looking through the rest, Natsu pulls out the two invitation letters before burning the rest into ashes

"reply to these two that I will come" Natsu said while handing back the two letters to Warta before he looks to the kingdom "now fill me in on what's been happening while I was asleep"

"yes" Warta replied as he and Natsu started walking around in the town, the Dark Elf started explaining the development the kingdom had

The two walked around in the kingdom as Warta showed the development of the Dark Elves settlement, and the new Icians race citizens who had joined the kingdom

Natsu and Warta were now in the castle as they were in a big room where there were 4 individuals sitting by a large around table

"and we have elected 5 new members of the Dragnof Council. All who are very experienced in their own sets of skills" Warta said as Natsu sees the 5 individuals before his eyes saw Makarov

"well, this is a good surprise to see after waking up" Natsu said as he walks towards Makarov and shakes his hand "guess you decided to join Dragnof after all"

"yes" Makarov said with a nod "and I must say that your kingdom is unlike any other"

"I'll take that as a compliment" Natsu said smiling before he looks to the other individuals

"let me introduce them, my king" Warta said as he stood beside the other 4 individuals

"this is Oldmine, he was a former general who served the Partanis Kingdom and he serves as the territory border councilmen" Warta said as Oldmine is a Kobold man who wore a choker and a hat

"nice to meet you, King" Old mine said with a smile as Natsu nodded

"this is Bob, he was the general of the Luminisia Kingdom that had fallen from a war" Warta stated next as the next individual looks to be a Centaur who looks like a fat man who wears lipstick for some reason "he serves as the politic councilmen"

"you can count on me, my king" Bob said with a wink as a heart flied around

"y-yeah" Natsu said with an awkward smile before he looks to the next individual

"here is Oba baba, she is a member councilmen from the ice Kingdom, my king" Warta stated as the next one seems to be a sort of Snake like race "Ice Queen, Ultear-sama had ask of her to join as a member of the council and be the diplomat of the two kingdoms"

"it is an honour to be at your service, King Lizardius" Oba said with a bow as Natsu bowed back

"no, the honour is to me to you" Natsu said "the Queen truly knows that if we are to live with each other in peace, coexistence is needed"

"yes" Oba said with a nod and smiled "we do look forward in our coexistence"

"and lastly, as you already had met. Makarov Dreyar" Warta introduced Makarov who bowed "former general of the Fiore Kingdom and the minister of Dragnof's defence"

"I look forward in working in the council, my king" Makarov said bowing

"so do I" Natsu replied smiling

"and I, Warta as the minister of economics who shall be helping in maintaining the kingdom's society and law" Warta said doing a bow "the Dragnof Council of five has been completed, my king"

"thank you all" Natsu said with a smile "I cannot thank you all enough for joining the Council, as I was young I had believed that I would be able to maintain my kingdom on my own, but I was wrong. A kingdom cannot just exist with a king, it can only exist with its king and the people living within. I cannot rule my kingdom alone, I shall need your power in doing so."

"We all believe so, King" Oldmine said bowing "but, we must be the one to thank you"

"yes, Dragnof is not only a splendid Kingdom. But it is also a kingdom that maintains its peace and harmony. Equality amongst each other" Bob said smiling "it is truly an amazing kingdom"

"very true" Oba said smiling "we shall help with every ounce of our strength to maintain this kingdom and that of mine"

"and we will make sure that Dragnof shall never disappear" Makarov added in as Natsu nodded with a smile

"the task that has been placed upon you all are perfect" Natsu said as he bowed "I do hope. No, I wish that we are able to work together in bringing centuries of peace upon Dragnof that will be forever be blessed"

"yes" Warta and the others replied as they bowed back

The day soon turned noon as Natsu had been in conversation with his councilmen who had been explaining to him the rising development

They had received many request of small kingdoms to join under Dragnof's banner and that would mean Dragnof will be growing yet again with new citizens, but at the same time there are other kingdom who had invited Dragnof to join them, that instantly made Natsu burn their invitation and reply a letter that states their disagreement to join

"that is all" Warta said as they had finished the meeting till night "we shall initiate the next meeting on fall"

"thank you all" Natsu said bowing "I cannot believe what an amazing development, my kingdom has gone through during my rest"

"we are merely doing our job, king" Oldmine said with a grin "no need to thank us"

"yes. we are just doing what we do best" Bob added in with a smile

"and we do the best as we can for the kingdom" Oba stated in

"that is our duty as your councilmen" Makarov said while scratching his chin before grinning "and we do it with joy"

Natsu smiled before chuckling a bit and nodded

"truly thank you" Natsu said as he stands up and did a bow "I know that this is a bit late and all"

Natsu spreads his arms open while having a grin

"welcome! To Dragnof!" Natsu said before he laughs and the rest soon followed

Natsu now walks upon the street of his kingdom, he watched the Icians of the Ice Kingdom living with his people as they were now his people as well

He smiled as he was overjoyed to see his kingdom growing even more

Natsu looks to the west side of his kingdom as there stood the Ice Kingdom, the kingdom of ice had snow raining down upon it endlessly with an aurora above it

"Dragnof, the Kingdom of peace and ice" Natsu said before chuckling "got to work on that"

"My King!" Gajeels's voice rang out as Natsu turns and sees the werewolf going to him while being followed by several individuals

"oh, Gajeel. What is it?" Natsu replied, turning around towards him

"we heard that you were up, so we wanted to greet ya" Gajeel said as Natsu hummed before looking at the ones behind him

"they are?" Natsu asked as he saw Barta, Gray, and Lyon behind him and some he didn't' recognize

"they're the members of Dragnof's special Brigade, my king" Gajeel said while grinning "my special brigade"

"ho" Natsu hummed in amusement

"in the end, we had to join this buffoon's brigade" Gray said with a smirk "goes to show that our kingdom has more stronger forces"

"indeed" Lyon stated in agreement

"what did you say!?" Gajeel and Barta shouted at them

The four soon bickers while the rest stayed out and introduced themselves to Natsu

"an honour to meet you, king" they all greeted Natsu

"tell me your names, I wish to know the shields of my kingdom shall be" Natsu said crossing his arms while having a smile

"I'm Jet, a were leopard" "I'm Droy, a Dorome" "Freed, a mage" "I'm Bickslow, a phantom" "the Fairy Evergreen!" "Laxux Dreyar, Thunderbird" they all introduced themselves as the last one strike an interest to Natsu (Laxus will look like a man that has wings on his back but his feet are eagle talons)

"dreyar? Related to Makarov?" Natsu said with a raised eyebrow

"Laxus here is Makarov-san's grandson, well..adopted that is" Bickslow explained as Natsu hummed

"the old man said that he was leaving Fiore, so i came with" Laxus said before sighing "never knew that these guys would follow me too"

"what are you saying?" Freed said with a smile "we are the Raijinshuu, your team"

"that's right!" Evergreen exclaimed "it's not fair that you just want to leave us!"

"yeah" Bickslow added in "wherever you go, we will follow"

"for god sake" Laxus said while sighing but he had a smile

"seems to me that you are very good friends" Natsu said with a chuckle "I look forward in having you all as the protectors of Dragnof"

"it is our honour, King" Laxus said as he and the rest bowed before Gajeel and the others break off the bickering

"so, are there more?" Natsu asked as there were only 10 of the special twelve brigade

"we still going to recruit some more but we haven't found any good ones" Gajeel replied "but in time, the 12 thunder stars will be completed"

"thunder stars? Who came up with that?" Natsu asked chuckling

"Erza-san did" Barta replied as Natsu sweatdrop

"of course, she did" Natsu said sighing "anyway, I look forward to the completion"

"you can count on it, my king" Gajeel said as he and Natsu shakes hand

"Natsu!" Happy came running in as the blue feline jumps onto Natsu's back

"oh, Happy. Good to see you again" Natsu replied, looking at the feline on his back

"aye sir! We miss you!" Happy exclaimed with a grin "you were asleep for an entire week!"

"yeah, sorry about that" Natsu replied as Happy jumped down from his back "so? I don't think you came running at high speed just to greet me"

"aye! It's time!" Happy said

"it's time? Time for what?" Natsu asked before a group of Cait Sith came and carried him up "eh?"

"to the temple!" Happy exclaimed while carrying Natsu as well

"Aye sir!" the Cait Sith exclaimed as they marched away, leaving Gajeel and the others

"what was that all about?" Gray said

"no idea" Lyon replied

Natsu was soon brought into the temple as he hummed while crossed arm

"good luck, Natsu" Happy said as he and the rest of the Cait Sith went away

"yeah" Natsu replied before he looked to the temple as ice nearly covered it "can't believe I forgot about it"

Natsu went in as the stone door soon came down and closed

Natsu entered the temple as it was nearly covered in ice

"she sure made it into her style" Natsu said before sighing "at least the kingdom won't be getting any blizzard during winter"

Flashback

"a deal?" Ultear stated while looking at Natsu who holds the contract paper

"a one in a lifetime deal that will benefit both of us" Natsu replied with a smirk

"ho?" Ultear said amused as Natsu gives her the contract paper and she reads the content. Her eyes scanned the content as they squinted a bit before glancing at Natsu's direction "a very interesting one in a lifetime deal it is…"

"do you agree to it?" Natsu said as Ultear stands up and walks towards the window on the side of her room

"the conditions sounds tempting….but I too am concern for my kingdom.." Ultear replied as she looks at the endless snow raining upon her kingdom before to Natsu "if it's for my kingdom, then so be it"

"do not worry.." Natsu said as he walks towards Ultear and cups her chin, tilting it up a bit "..i'll make sure that both of our kingdoms will thrive even further to the future"

Natsu leans down as he kisses Ultear's lips, the Ice Queen drapes her arms around Natsu's shoulder, pulling him down to deepen the kiss before the two separates

A puff of cold air escapes Ultear's mouth as it curved into a smile

Natsu walks further in the temple as he followed the trail of cold ice on the floor

"your point?" Natsu asked while raising an eyebrow

"my point?" Ultear said as she walks towards Natsu with her staff by her side "I wish to confirm somethings…"

"and they are?" Natsu asked before Ultear pressed the top of her staff against his chest which made him look at it before to her

"my staff doesn't only take the lifeforce of others, it also freezes their hearts" Ultear stated "if you ever lie to me, my cold ice will freeze your heart and this kingdom, forever"

"what now? Ask me some questions?" Natsu asked while crossing his arms under his chest

"first, why do you desire to save your own kingdom?" Ultear asked as her staff soon glowed blue

"I'm a king, and a king places the importance of its people than himself" Natsu replied as Ultear hummed

"second, will you truly establish peace upon our kingdoms? Even if it was not because of that contract?" Ultear asked again

"I would, if you weren't so cold hearted." Natsu replied with a bit of sarcasm as Ultear giggles a bit

"then the last question" Ultear said as she closed the distance between the two while her staff was still pushed against Natsu's chest "are you worthy to have my love? Never to betray me? Never ever leave me in the cold asylum which is my kingdom?"

"I'm not…" Natsu replied as he cups her chin and tilts it up a bit "…if you won't let me, that is"

Ultear smiled as she dropped her staff before circling around Natsu's neck before pulling the man into a deep kiss
