On with the story
The battle at Dragnof was in a standstill as all the warriors in the kingdom set out a defense line around the kingdom
"looks like we're going to be up for the whole day" Gildarts said while his body is all bandaged up and his left arm gone for good. The Oni lead the Western Defense army as they were going to guard the kingdom and fight against the invading forces "better start wishing for some beer, later on, boys!"
The Ogres, the Kobolds, the Dark Elves, and the other Beastmen roared out as they raised their weapon up
"if we don't make it, I at least have someone to remember," Gajeel said with a grin as he carried a large broad sword over his shoulder
"yeah, my Cana-chwan might tell my future grandkids stories of their grandpa," Gildarts said laughing as he soon lifted up his battle club and leans it against his shoulder "even though I'm never going to see their face if I don't survive"
"you could always watch over them from the other side" Gajeel stated as Gildarts grins
"funny" Gildarts said before he sees the invading forces coming closer "alright boys and girls! Let's show them hell as they had never seen before!"
The Dragnof Army roared as they readied themselves before charging the invading forces
At the sea, the battleships fired their cannons as they hit the giant ice wall that surrounds the kingdom while some fired blasts of their magic cannon that creates rains of fire upon the ice wall, slowly melting it
Before long, Grandeeney and Atlas Flame swoops in as the two Dragons started destroying the many battleships
Atlas roared as he spewed out flames that burn even the seawater
Grandeneey spins in the air as the sky darkens creating numerous tornadoes upon the sea and causes some ships to start flying in the air with the soldiers on board
Hyrus swims around in the ocean as the Hydra swims in a circle that creates a whirlpool that started to suck in battleships and rammed them against each other, destroying them one by one
The Icians were on top of the ice wall as they fired numerous blast of ice at the sea, freezing it and the nearby ships
It was an all-out war, and this war was going to be won by Dragnof
The battle lasted for a few hours as the enemy soon retreat to regroup
At all sides of the Kingdom's borders, all the soldiers were nearly beaten as they were outnumbered but strong and that helped them in lasting against the battle
Many beastmen had died and many had nearly death injuries but they were holding strong for their home
"damn…do i….want a drink…right now" Gildarts said with a grin while covered in his own blood and had some arrows and swords lodged into his body "I'm starting to hate being old"
"once we finish them all…" Gajeel said while in the equal state as Gildarts "..i'll buy….at Sho's Bar..and it's on me.."
"that…sounds good.." Gildarts said before they heard a war horn ringing as another enemy raid was coming "better make it…..6 barrels"
"alright.." Gajeel said gripping the handle of his broken broad sword before lifting it up to his shoulder "…that is if we survive"
"yeah…I know" Gildarts said spitting out some blood to the ground before holding his club up
the enemy raid had numerous magic imbued cannons of a large scale as it could be seen as powerful weapons
"they started bringing in the big guns, huh?" Gajeel said, seeing how many cannons the enemy had and they were all charging up power
"if we go down, we go down fighting! let's kick some ass!" Gildarts exclaimed as Gajeel and the rest of the remaining beastmen army roared out before charging
the enemy forces started firing their magic cannons as streaming rains of magic power to fly in the air, heading towards Dragnof forces
But before they could even hit their target, a wall of crimson flames soon erupts and creates a border between Dragnof and the enemy, blocking all the magic blasts
"flames.." Gildarts said before seeing Natsu floating within the flames "..King!"
The beastmen soldiers cheered for their king's return as it was going to be a change to the war
"great job, you all" Natsu told them as his faceplate slides open to reveal his smile "now, leave the rest to us"
"us?" Gajeel said before he hears something flying in the air "what's that sound?"
Gildarts and the others look up and see the giant golden hammer that was used by Natsu to destroy the Empire's wall, was flying in the air before crashing to the enemy line, crashing into some soldiers while sending some flying away
"what the heck is that!? A hammer?!" Gildarts exclaimed as his eyes popped out
"and it's damn huge!" Gajeel shouted in the same condition
"get back to the kingdom with the others" Natsu said as his faceplate slides closed and his eyes glowed red behind his visor "make sure to not leave one behind"
Natsu burst into flames as the Dragon King transforms into his Dragon Form
The now Dragon Natsu let out a mighty roar as he charged into the enemy lines, spewing out flames and hammers them all with the giant golden hammer in hand
"you heard the King!" Gildarts exclaimed as he carried on his shoulder, the body of a fallen warrior "get everyone in! now!"
Everyone nodded before they started carrying the injured and the fallen back to the kingdom while Natsu was mowing the enemy down
At the sea, the battleships just keep on coming and coming as there was no end to them
"this is getting tiring!" Atlas roared out as he spewed out flames at the battleships, destroying them but more just keeps on coming
"agreed!" Grandeneey stated as she fiercely flaps her wings, blowing the ocean water above and swallowing some ships in the big wave "there is no end to them!"
Hyrus raises out of the water as the Hydra roared before spewing out acid at nearby ships
The ships just keeps on firing their cannons at the ice wall as some part of it breaks, causing some Icians to fall into the ocean water
The battle seems to never go to the end but soon mist came out of nowhere
"mist?" Atlas stated seeing the mist as it was covering the whole ocean
"unnatural" Grandeeney stated in as the mist was covering everything and not leaving away
The enemy's battleships had no visual sight as they couldn't see anything because of the fog
"captain! The fog is blocking our view!" a soldier told a captain of a ship as it was very misty and you can barely see a thing
"I know! You think I can't see!?" the captain shouted at the soldier as he tried fanning the mist away but it wasn't going away "what mist is this!?"
Before long, the sound of laughter was heard everywhere as this spooked some soldiers
"c-c-captain! Do you hear that?!" another soldier exclaimed while shaking in fear
"be quiet! It's an enemy's trick to scare us! It must be the doing of those Dragons and that Hydra!" the captain shouted before something went pass him "eh?"
The Captain's vision started to tilt as he sees that he was falling
"what?" the Captain said before his eyes went lifeless as his head drops to the wooden deck, decapitated from his body
"t-t-the captain is dead!?" a soldier shouted before his head flies off his body
"w-what's going on?!" another shouted before a sword went through his chest with blood spurting out everywhere, he gasps in pain before his eyes looks back and sees Ikaruga smiling so sweetly
"ara…was it too fast?" Ikaruga asked before she pushed the soldier and pulled her sword out "forgiveness please, this is a foreign border for me after all"
The Pazingua Beastmen invaded the battleships as the Hundred Demon Parade members started to kill all the enemy soldiers, not letting one survive
Atlas and Grandeeney watched as the enemy were getting slaughtered by Ikaruga and the Hundred Demon Parade
"you two must be Atlas Flame and Grandeeney, no?" Ryu appeared as he sat on Grandeeney's back, surprising the Sky Dragon "the Young King have returned and had asked aid from the Hundred Demon Parade"
"O-Our King has returned?!" Atlas stated in surprise while looking at Ryu who nodded
"b-but who are you?!" Grandeeney asked Ryu who merely chuckled
"I am a friend" Ryu said before he disappeared into black mist
Atlas and Grandeeney looks at each other as they were truly confused on Ryu's act of disappearance
Natsu roared out as his roar echoed through the land and was heard within his own kingdom
Kaithen and the other Dragon Children heard his roar as they revert to their Dragon Form and let out their own roar that is merely like squeaking sound but it was loud
"that roar," Lucy said with a smile as the others nodded
"he's back" Ultear added in
"and he came back with some backup!" Cana said grinning
"this war will be coming to an end" Erza said with a smile
"agreed" Kagura said in agreement
"I hope he's alright" Éclair said
"he will always be alright" Kamika told her
All Natsu's mates smiled as they knew that their husband would defend their home with everything, he has
Natsu spewed out flames as he burned the ground and the enemy soldiers before swinging his golden hammer down, breaking the ground
"Dragnof shall never fall again!" Natsu roared out as he lifts his golden hammer up and swings it down, causing a powerful earthquake that splits the ground, causing lava to spew out of the cracks "and not one of you shall ever set foot upon it!"
Natsu burst into flames as he lifts the giant golden hammer up before swinging it down once more, breaking the ground and cause a spreading crack that basically made a giant border between Dragnof and Ishgar
The land shakes and rumbles as the borders of Dragnof was getting pushed away from the continent
Natsu stands in the borders of his kingdom as he watched the enemy invaders just stand in Isghar while Dragnof was floating away into the ocean
"this is the only way, Igneel" Natsu said as he knew of doing such acts is basically impossible and insane but it was for his kingdom and his citizens
Giant golems started to arise out of the ground as they pushed Dragnof away from Isghar and into the vast ocean
Natsu soon flew into the sky as he watched Dragnof now becoming a floating kingdom in the ocean
The Dragon King flies into his kingdom as he landed in the street where his citizens all gathered around in cheers for his return
Natsu's body shined crimson as the Dragon reverted to his human form
Lucy and the others went to Natsu as they were glad for his return and so were his kids
Natsu laughed in joy to have come back to his home but he soon turns his attention to Gildarts and the rest of the soldiers who have defended the kingdom while he was away
"thank you all" Natsu said before he sees how many injures and casualties that were sacrificed during the battle "if I were stronger, I could have"
"it's fine!" Gildarts exclaimed as he slaps Natsu's back hard "all that matters is that we won!"
Natsu looks at Gildarts as the Oni Man grins with Gajeel and the others
"I see" Natsu said with a smile before boats came into the kingdom's waterway with one boat having Ryu and Ikaruga "everyone, meet our new citizens to Dragnof"
Everyone cheered for the Hundred Demon Parade who had come to aid them in battle as they were welcomed with open arms
"Old man Ryu, I should've known," Gildarts said as he shakes hand with the old man "how's the old-time kicking?"
"been better" Ryu said before looking to Ikaruga who went to stand beside Natsu who was with his mates and children
"everyone meet Ikaruga. The newest addition to the royal family" Natsu said introducing her to the others
"it is a pleasure" Ikaruga said with a sweet smile
"nice to meet you" Lucy said as everyone else started to converse with the Nurarihyon girl
Natsu smiled before he slowly falls back and fell to the ground, exhausted
"my king!" Gildarts and the others shouted in surprise as they lifted Natsu up
"sorry..but…I ran out….of juice….so I'm…..going to…sleep" Natsu said as his eyes were going to close "I'm leaving..the rest….to you guys"
Natsu's eyes closed as the King fell asleep
The crowd looks at their king before they laughed together in seeing him sleep
To this day, the war against Dragnof was over
