On with the story
The days in Dragnof had been splendid as no harm has ever or could ever come to the floating kingdom in the vast ocean
Natsu was at the roof top of his castle, over watching the vast ocean borders that is surrounded by the giant walls of foggy mist as it protects Dragnof and leaves enemies astray
"the Hidden Kingdom in the sea. Just like the underwater city of the merfolks" Natsu said as there is the legendary kingdom of the sea, Atlantis as it is the home for all the Merfolks
The king looks to the sky as the clouds were floating in the sky while the sun was shining brightly for the day
"it's a nice day" Natsu said with a smile before he jumps down off the roof
At the docks, Kagura was swimming around in the water before the water rises up and two giant blueish green sea Dragons came out roaring
"alright you two, you had enough play time for a day. Go and study with Grandeeney-san" Kagura said as the two giant sea Dragons are her children, Kaithen and Levia who had now become large Dragons
3 months had passed for Dragnof as things had grew even more for the kingdom and for the two first Dragon Children
"just a few more minutes, Mama." Kaithen said as the Storm Dragon had learned how to talk alongside with his sister too "it's boring to study"
"yeah, it's always the same thing everyday" Levia added in as the two sea Dragons whined like children even though they are only 2 years old and that was already in the age of a teenager in Dragon years
"I do not want to hear an excuse coming from you two" Kagura said with a stern face as the two sea Dragons whimpered to her which made the Kraken girl sigh "if you two go study, I promise that we will go play after, alright?"
"yay!" Kaithen and Levia cheered before they glowed and transformed to their human form which was that of 10 year olds. The two splashed into the water before swimming to Kagura and hugs her with big smiles "we love you, Mama!"
Kagura sighs with her own loving smile as she hugs her children back
"now go and study." Kagura told the two "Grandeeney-san will be waiting"
"yes!" the two said in unison before swimming to the city's waterway together
"when will I ever stop spoiling those two?" Kagura said sighing with her smile before she swims to the docks
Kaithen and Levia swims through the city's waterways as the place is filled with many boats that were rowing around the city, passing by the beastmen and humans living together in harmony
Everyone was happy living in the kingdom as there was no more conflict for all. Well some annoyance for some
"it's grandpwa!" Gildarts blurted out with a big smile on his face as the Oni Man made funny faces to Energia and Marsha both the Dragon Hatchlings were sleeping on their mother's lap while Cana herself was having an annoyed look "Grandpwa got you two matching onesies once you can transform~!"
Gildarts holds up two pair of pink children onesies with his metal hand as it replaced the one that he had lost in the battle months ago
"can you shut i?! they're sleeping!" Cana shouted angrily at her father as her children just sleeps while not bothered from all the shouting "and Energia is a boy! Dimwit! Why did you get two pink?!"
"eehh!? Really?!" Gildarts gawked in surprise "I got twins grandkids?! Boy and girl!?"
"now you realize it?" Cana sighs in annoyance as her father is just too an idiot to ever remember anything other than booze, fight, and herself.
"I'll get a new one tailored!" Gildarts exclaimed as he bolted away to who knows where
Everything was splendid in the kingdom as no war nor conflict could ever come to it
At the waterway, Kaithen and Levia jumped out of the water before they ran to Grandeeney's temple where the Sky Dragon lies within with her daughter
Reaching into the temple, the two finds their younger siblings; Kalard, Noir, Ignisia, and Eis, all watching Grandeeney who let out a high yet majestic roar before the children tried to copy her
Not wanting to be left out, Kaithen and Levia joined in for the study
Things were very well good in Dragnof
At the Library of Dragnof, Lucy was walking around with some books in hand before she came across her son, Touro in his Dragon form, sleeping at the entrance
"Touro" Lucy called out to her son with a smile as she placed the book away before patting her son's head a few times getting the Bull Dragon to open its eyes "I told you that if you want to take a nap, do it in your human form. Don't sleep in your Dragon form"
"comfier here, Mother. I'm sleepy" Touro grumbles as he closed his eyes to sleep again but Lucy patted his head a few more times to make him open his eyes again
"I know, but there are some who wants to go in or out the library" Lucy told Touro as the Bull Dragon sees some people outside the entrance that was being blocked by himself "now shrink down and sleep by the sofa, alright?"
"yes" Touro said as the Bull Dragon transforms to his child form before wobbly went to his mother and hugs her legs "sleepy…"
"what am I going to do with you?" Lucy said sighing with a smile as she carried her son up while apologizing to the people who had been stuck at the front entrance of the library
Lucy went to her library counter table where she sets her son by a couch behind it before placing a small blanket over him
"have a nice nap, alright?" Lucy said before pecking her son's head and went back to sorting out the books in the library
"must be hard having kids who grow up so fast, huh?" Levy, Lucy's best friend and a librarian who now works in the library to help Lucy in her daily life job "I can imagine how Erza-san and the others do with their children"
"they had more rough because of how their kids are" Lucy said as she takes the books, she had previously placed away and went to a bookshelves that had some Brownies waiting to get the books and placed it back to their rightful order "Touro is more behaved but more of a sleepyhead"
"I can see that daily" Levy said checking some books before scribbling down on a piece of paper "things in Dragnof never stops changing, huh?"
"yeah" Lucy said in agreement "first the invading enemies, then Dragnof breaking off from Isghar and now this. Things never get dull here"
At Nighttime, Natsu was at his castle looking at some scrolls of things to do in his kingdom as it was an endless pile
"one of the many downsides of being a King to a kingdom" Natsu said sighing as he looks at papers after papers of work that he has to do "and here I thought being a mercenary was tough"
Natsu was in the middle of reading a scroll before several hasting knocks came to his door
"come in" Natsu called out while still reading the scroll in hand before he glanced aside and sees the door opening, revealing Warta "Warta. What's wrong?"
"urgent news, my king" Warta said holding a scroll "very urgent and dire news"
Natsu holds his hand out as Warta gives the scroll to him
Opening the scroll, Natsu scans it contents before his eyes went into confusion and then into anger
"it's already started. They're hunting all beastmen down" Warta said as the scroll holds information that the human kingdom was hunting down all beastmen in Ishgar and was going to kill them all
"not if I have a say to it" Natsu said getting up from his seat and went out to the door with Warta and Warta following
"my king! It would not be wise for you to leave the kingdom!" Warta stated "not only have they begun the beastmen hunting but they all are after your head, my king!"
"if they are after my head, so be it." Natsu stated "I am not leaving innocent beastmen at harms bay"
"you can't go alone. You just can't!" Warta exclaimed as Natsu stops to glance at him "if you go, you will never be able to come back! The humans will do everything in their power just to hunt you down!"
"if it's to save the lives of innocents" Natsu said before his armor appeared and equipped onto him before red eyes glowed behind the helmet's visor "I'll sacrifice my life for it"
"but my king!" Warta exclaimed but Natsu holds a hand to cut him off
"I won't be going alone, assemble some of our finest troops for departure next morning and prepare them for anything" Natsu said as he started walking away "I have no more room for objections"
Warta tried to retort but he kept his silence
"yes, my king" Warta said as he bowed before walking to the corner hallway
Natsu was walking around his kingdom's street as it was in the middle of the night and nearly everyone was asleep. Well except for a few
"you shouldn't be smoking" Natsu said as he stopped by a small boat docked near the kingdom's waterway where on the boat was Ikaruga holding a Kiseru in hand "it's bad for pregnant people"
"be at ease" Ikaruga said placing a hand on her stomach that slightly bulges behind her kimono "I am merely holding it, and not inhaling it"
"does not mean that you would not try it" Natsu said taking the Kiseru away from Ikaruga
"I am merely stating" Ikaruga said with a giggle and a smile
"I'll be leaving Dragnof in the morning, can you relay that as a message to Lucy and the others?" Natsu asked as Ikaruga nodded in reply "thank you, I shall be leaving you and your Parade in charge with the Councilmen"
Natsu started walking away before some of Ikaruga's black smoke covers his path
"and where might be the location of your departure?" Ikaruga asked as her black smoke grabs hold of the Kiseru in Natsu's hand and gives it back to her "I have heard that Ishgar is on the hunt for beastmens and there is also a reward for you. Alive….or dead"
"and you heard that from where?" Natsu said glancing at Ikaruga as his face plate slides open. Ikaruga merely inhales some smoke from her kiseru before blowing it out. The smoke forming a ring and Natsu sees the scroll that Warta had given "I should've burned that when I finished reading it"
"you are underestimating the power that the humans of Ishgar have with them" Ikaruga said as the smoke disappears "they are not merely mortals, they are mortals who are barbaric in their way of life"
"and? I have dealt with those types of humans before" Natsu asked as he turns his body back "innocents' lives are at risk here, and they are after them because of me. I will go and fix it"
"not with the assembled troops?" Ikaruga asked as she somehow knows of what Natsu had been doing the previous hours "coming to Isghar alone is already named a fool's choice."
"I will be called anything, if it means keeping the balance in stale" Natsu stated as his helmet's face plate slides closed "and protecting our kind"
Ikaruga glanced at Natsu as the man had a standing demeanour of power
"if you must leave, promise us that you shall return with your life" Ikaruga asked as she rubs a hand to her stomach "if you do not, the child within me shall never know who is the father of its bloodline"
Natsu nodded as he walks away while Ikaruga watches him
"have a safe trip" Ikaruga said as she blows out some smoke that covers everything in it
