On with the story

The next day had come as a ship sailed away from Dragnof with the citizens waving off their goodbyes

Natsu stood in front of the ship as he was on his way back to Ishgar with a group of Soldiers and Happy

"hey, Natsu. Is it true?" Happy asked Natsu while standing beside him "that the humans in Ishgar are hunting down all type of beastmen?"

"yeah" Natsu replied while only watching the swaying waves

"does that mean….even Caith Siths?" Happy asked as Natsu nodded "that's just too cruel"

"I know" Natsu replied as the ship swayed from the ocean waves and they soon reached into the fog wall, venturing into the white clouds "that is why we're going to save all of them from those humans and find out what is the reason that started it all"

Happy nodded as they soon arrive out of the fog wall and into the outside borders of Dragnof

A few hours later, the ship had docked to a nearby cliff as this was a ridgeline of where Dragnof was previously connected to Ishgar before the separation

Natsu flies up the cliff before setting down hooks with rope attached to them on each part of the ground

Pulling them once to make sure that they are secured, Natsu signalled his soldiers bellow to come up as it was safe

Natsu looks around the area as he sees remnants of the battle that took place months ago

"Natsu! A little help!" Happy squealed out while trying to climb up but was having trouble because of his little stature

Natsu grabs the blue feline before setting him down on the ground before he helped some other soldiers who started help the ones bellow

"set camp here, and be keen on the area" Natsu told to some of his soldiers that had climbed up the cliff "I don't think that Ishgar is the same anymore"

"understood, king!" the soldiers saluted before they went to work

Natsu scanned the area again as his faceplate slides open to reveal his glowing red eyes

His vision enhanced as he checks the area and could see that things were not as it seems to be

"Happy, stay here" Natsu said as his faceplate slides closed and his eyes glowed red behind his helmet

"eh? What's wrong?" Happy asked curious while holding a small bag sack of his size

"we're being watched from afar" Natsu said as he grabs his magic gun and it instantly transformed into a long magic rifle

BANG!

Natsu fired a shot as the magic bullet flies across the land before hitting its target in the forest a few miles away and it hit something or someone

"get three to five soldiers to form a perimeter line, I'm going to check around" Natsu said as his magic rifle transforms back into a magic gun

"aye" Happy said as Natsu walks away to the broad land

The day turned to noon as a large campsite was set up near the borders

A campfire started to light up the area as night was closing in fast

Several soldiers were on shift while some were prepping their things like polishing swords, sharpening spears, and cooking

Happy was by the campfire as there was a pot with stew boiling in it. The feline throws in sliced fish meat, herbs, and spices as he oversaw cooking.

"alright" Happy got on top of a crate as he started stirring the stew with a long wooden ladle

As Happy was stirring the pot, Natsu came in while still wearing his armor

"how did it go?" Happy asked while continuing to stir the stew in the pot

"trackers, 20 of them were around us before we knew it" Natsu said sitting down before was offered a drink by a nearby soldier who he thanked "they're hunting beastmen with every knowledge they had on them"

"were there…" Happy asked as Natsu shook his head

"be relaxed, they were hunting goblins down. No Cait Siths" Natsu said as Happy sighs in relief

Before long all the soldiers gathered around the campfire

"listen to me well and listen to me very clearly" Natsu said as he holds a map of Ishgar "our current location is the previous location of where Dragnof was once was. Right now, our current objective as of now is to rescue and evacuate any innocent beastmen who are being hunted down by human soldiers. Do not engage in battle in case necessary, understand?"

All the soldiers nodded as they heed his orders

"secondly, I want a group of 5 to sail back to Dragnof. We will need more than just one ship to get the evacuated back to Dragnof" Natsu stated

"my king, please pardon my forward actions. But we could not sail back as we only have one ship" a soldier stated in

"and how can we return to Dragnof if we cannot pass the Fog wall?" another asked before Natsu throws in the bone whistle to him

"use that" Natsu said "Hyrus only obeys my command or any who use that whistle. And just sail back with the ship, we currently have. I can already tell that we will be here for a while"

"yes!" the soldiers complied before five soldiers grouped up and started to climb down the rope by the cliff and head down back to the ship

"Happy, get ready for tomorrow. we're heading out with just a single group" Natsu said as Happy saluted

"aye sir!" Happy complied while eating a fish in his mouth

The next morning came as Natsu with a group of soldiers were setting out to venture the land

Happy drives the usual carriage while holding the reins on Catastoras as in the carriage were some supplies needed and Natsu himself

The Dragon King sat in the carriage as he sat in silence while having his broad sword leaning against his shoulder

The soldiers walked alongside the carriage while keeping an eye out for possible ambushing enemies

They ventured on a path in the forest where the only sound was the creaking wheel of the carriage, the birds, and the breezing wind

Natsu sat in the carriage, nearly looking to be asleep before his head moves up and then to the side

"stop the carriage" Natsu said as Happy pulls the reins and Catastoras stopped moving

Natsu got out of the carriage as he looks around the area

"what is wrong, my king?" a Kobold guard asked the king who shushes him while his helmet's faceplate slides open

Natsu keens his eyes as his senses were enhanced for a single moment and in that single moment, he hears screams that came from a far

"you two with me" Natsu said pointing to nearby soldiers before his faceplate slides closed "the rest of you stand guard for anything"

Natsu grabs his broad sword as he runs into the forest with the two soldiers following behind

Far within the forest at an opening

A group of beastmen consisting of 2 male Kobolds, a female Minotaur, a Grizzly, and a young elf girl were running in fear as they were being chased by human soldiers on horses

"get them all!" "kill them all!" "make sure that not one escapes!" the soldiers shouted as they lifted their swords up to the air while chasing after the beastmens

The beastmen just runs for their lives before the young elf girl fell down

"oh no!" the female minotaur exclaimed as the elf girl was going to get captured and killed by the humans

"there's nothing we can do for her! We have to run!" the grizzly man exclaimed as he gritted his teeth in anger for not being able to save the elf girl

The young elf girl got up slowly before she gasp in fear as a human soldier pulls his horse reins and holds up his sword

"die! Elf!" the soldier shouted as he swings his sword down on the elf girl who had shut her eyes for the coming death but it never came instead

BANG!

A gunshot rang out as the sword was shattered to pieces barely able to do any harm or whatsoever

"what the!?" the soldier exclaimed before his head exploded from another gunshot

The soldier's body fell off the horse as the horse walks away not having any rider on it

The elf girl slowly opened her eyes before she sees Natsu standing in front of her with the two soldiers by his side

"who are you?!" a soldier shouted with the rest of the soldiers facing Natsu and his two soldiers "a friend to these filthy beastmen?!"

"Filthy?" Natsu said as he grips his magic gun tight before firing a shot at the soldier who badmouthed beastmen, blowing his head "watch your mouth, human"

"charge!" another soldier exclaimed as he led the charge with his horse as the others followed

"Get the girl to safety" Natsu ordered one of his soldiers who nodded before carrying the young elf girl away

Natsu faced the charging soldiers as he stomped his foot down and all their horses immediately stopped in their tracks, causing the soldiers on their back to fly off them

"waaahh!" the soldiers shouted in shock as they landed on the ground before slowly getting up, only to face against the tip of Natsu's broad sword

"sorry, but you humans came to this point" Natsu said as he swings his broad sword up before swinging it down

"Gaaaahhh!" the soldiers screamed as they had their heads beheaded in a single swing from Natsu's sword but only one was spared

The single soldier was petrified in fear as Natsu had killed his allies immediately in a single minute

"consider yourself lucky that I need information from someone here" Natsu said as he swings his broad sword to the side before placing it on his back sheath

Natsu soon turns his attention to the group of beastmen that he had saved

"you…that red Dragon like armor…you're Lizardius Natsu Dragneel, aren't you?" the Minotaur girl asked with the group as they look at Natsu who nodded while his faceplace slides open to reveal his identity

"if you know me, then this will make it quick for an explanation" Natsu said "are any of you injured?"

"none of us, but the little elf girl's parents" the Grizzly man said while looking at the elf girl who was with one of Natsu's soldiers "they were captured before us and are probably going to be executed in the town soon"

"where is the town?" Natsu said as his faceplate slides closed and his eyes glowed red behind the visor "I shall go and save them with the rest of the captured beastmen"

"you must be insane!" one of the Kobolds exclaimed "that town is now littered with beastmen hating humans! Just a single sight on one beastmen causes all of their Hunters to head out to chase the beastmen down and kill him!"

"Hunters?" Natsu said looking to the still petrified soldier "so that's what they're calling themselves, huh?"

"them hunters will chase and kill all the beastmen, wiping us all out of the face of Ishgar" the other Kobold stated "no place is ever going to be safe"

"not true" Natsu said "my Kingdom, Dragnof is a safe haven for all"

"Dragnof…that hidden kingdom?" the Minotaur girl asked as Natsu nodded

"my soldiers will escort you all away from this location and bring you to the base camp where you will be shipped off to Dragnof" Natsu said as he nodded to his two soldiers who nodded back

"please.." the elf girl muttered out while holding onto Natsu's hand making the king look to her "..Mama and Papa….please save my Mama and Papa"

"I will, little one. I will" Natsu said as he patted her head before looking to the Grizzly man "tell me the location of the town"

20 miles away from Natsu's location was the said town as the citizens were all gathered around in the center of the town where there were a group of beastmen in a large cage, cuffed and nearly stripped of their own dignity and beside their cage was a guillotine with the executioner standing beside it

The town's mayor came forward with a scroll that he rolled open

"upon this day! Beseech by the lord of the neighbouring kingdom! All beastmen of this near region shall be executed!" the mayor exclaimed, reading out the content of the scroll "by decree of all kingdoms, all those who protect beastmen shall be severely hunted down and executed on spot! Initiate the execution!"

Two soldier guards went to the cage and opened it before grabbing an elf man

"no! no!" an elf woman screamed in tears while a Kobold and a female Saytr holds her back

The male elf smiled sadly before he was pushed towards the guillotine and his head was placed upon the board where his neck will be sliced by the sharp guillotine's blade

"let those beastmen know! That this land of Ishgar belongs to us! The humans! The superior species!" the mayor exclaimed as the executioner lets go of the rope to the guillotine and the blade came falling before an armored hand grabbed the blade before it could touch the Elf's neck

"humans can never be the superior species" someone spoke out as the executioner was sent flying from a hook to the face "not while Dragons exist"

The guillotine blades shattered into pieces as the male elf was freed by Natsu who had come to the rescue

The crowd chattered in surprise to Natsu's appearance before soldiers came upon the scene

"you there! How dare you interrupt the execution!? Your head shall be hanged for treason!" the mayor exclaimed before Natsu throws a fireball that exploded upon him, knocking the man out while burning

"come after me if you want, but I shall never let any of you humans harm innocent beastmen while I still breath" Natsu said as flames rages around his fist "that is a promise"

Natsu swings his flaming fist to the side as flames flew around him, burning the soldier's weapons

The Dragon King soon grabs his magic gun and started firing shots at all the soldiers who came from behind as he kills them instantly with headshots each

Before long, Natsu swings his hand and flames started to burn the town's houses and everything in sight

Natsu went to the cage as he breaks it door before the beastmen came out

"Get to the forest, one of my soldiers will be waiting there for you all and he will escort you to safety" Natsu told them as the beastmen nodded before they started making their getaway

Natsu turns his attention to the burning town as he just ignores the screams of the humans

"let this be a warning to you humans…any harm comes to any beastmen in the world. I shall make sure that none shall ever be spared from my wrath" Natsu said as the flames rages around him
