Chapter 4 - Trouble in Paradise
Everyone rushed to their cabin without even speaking to each other. Lights were 'called off' for all cabins by their counsellors.
It was a sleepless night (Even for the Hypnos Kids) and what made it even cold were several huge tides, hitting the camp.
The only thing standing between Camp and the waves was the protection by the Golden Fleece and Athena Parthenos.
Chiron was trying to contact Camp Jupiter to inform about the quest through Iris message but it turned out a lot different.
The Iris message turned on and it was Hazel standing in full armour with many other demigods too and they all were also dressed like they were heading for war. Mars would be proud!
Chiron told Hazel about the prophecy and God's condition, on asking why was she and the others dressed like they were heading to war
Hazel said looking worried said" That's not good, unfortunately I can't come soon coz Camp Jupiter has its own war to fight. We are facing frequent waves of sea monster attacks along with armies of Cyclops and we are running out of resources fast. We aren't in any state of losing even one demigod. Ella is saying that it is one of the greatest wars according to Sibylline book and gave us a dangerous prophecy too. "
Chiron was about to say but before he could a big wave strikes camp half blood and the Iris message dissolved.
Camp Half Blood wasn't in a good condition.
Too often huge waves started striking and group of Cyclops started surrounding the camp. After some tense hours the night passed and it was morning but the waves were still striking often and Cyclops were surrounding the Camp ,it wouldn't be long until the camp's shield fails to defend the camp. Chiron called an urgent meeting at Big House (yet again). He told everyone present there about the conversation with Hazel. At the end of the explanation Annabeth face lit up as if finally she figured something out in the past few days, She said " Isn't Ceto the Greek goddess and mother of sea monsters it means she is also involved with Pontus. "
"Since no one from camp Jupiter can join the quest soon...Percy, Nico, Annabeth and Will Solace you all shall leave for the quest." Chiron said.
But Annabeth was not pleased with that statement "But isn't camp Half Blood also in verge of war? We have to soon do something or else the Cyclops will destroy the camp and while we are gone camp needs good healers if it faces war, Will should stay back at the Camp." Everyone agreed and it was decided that who all were leaving for the quest. "So we all are starting with the underworld?" Nico asked curiously.
"We have not much time who knows when ether (air in Olympus) will become unbreathable for the gods. We will figure from where to start on the way. First things first only the woods end is left where we can get past the Big Guys. We should leave right now." Percy said nervously
Percy, Annabeth, Nico and Grover ( He got stubborn and finally he was added to the quest too) went towards the woods fast and finally succeeded in making it out of long islands that too on foot. They were so tired and hungry they wanted food bad and they saw a food stall nearby and decided to sit there and decide further plan. They went and ordered cheeseburgers in the stall which was located in a completely silent and narrow street. They were served double the food for the money which they brought from the camp. The taste seemed familiar to Percy. All of them were so hungry they didn't even see who was the chef /shopkeeper. Then suddenly Percy heard hissing of snakes and he suddenly saw several stone statues in front and realised what problem they were stuck into and heard the hissing come closer he yelled " DO NOT TURN. MEDUSA HAS RETURNED"
