On with the story

Within the castle of Fiore, the guards were all positioned outside the throne room as they were guarding it from anyone who tries to go in

In the Throne room, the two Kings of their Kingdom faced each other while Makarov and Rob stand aside while they converse

"why did you agree to the Seven Kingdoms pact?" Natsu stated as his eyes glowed red "it'd be best for you to state the answer with the truth rather with a lie"

Toma looks at Natsu before he took a deep breath and exhales it slowly

"please follow me" Toma said as he got off his throne and slowly made his way to the side where he goes to a door that was a few feet away from the throne

Natsu looks at Toma before following him as so did Makarov and Rob

Toma leads Natsu and the others in the castle's inner hallway where there were more guards than before

"is this not the way to the Royal Family's Chamber?" Makarov whispered to Rob who nodded

"I believe that the King wish to show the crisis that fell upon our kingdom when you left, Ma-bo" Rob said as Toma got in front of a door which two guards opened it for him

"crisis? What crisis?" Makarov asked

All entered the room as there were maids and doctors surrounding a single large bed, upon the bed was the princess of Fiore, Hisui. E. Fiore. And she seems to be not in a good health

"H-Hisui-hime is!?" Makarov looks in utter shock as Toma went beside the bed and looks at his daughter who was sick "h-how?!"

"it was three days after you left, Ma-bo" Rob stated "the princess suddenly fell ill and then came a messenger from the Stella Kingdom"

"the Stella Kingdom? A messenger?" Makarov asked as Rob nodded

"that messenger conveyed a message, a threatening message that states the illness to which the princess have was caused by the Hero who defeated the Demon King, Lizardius Dragneel" Rob explained "not only did the messenger conveyed the message to the King, he conveyed it to all other kingdoms, getting many people to hate the beastmen. Soon the Seven-Kingdom pact was created in just a month."

"the messenger states that the only way to cure my daughter was to destroy Dragnof and all Beastmen in existence" Toma said as he holds Hisui's hand and grasp it gently yet tightly before tears started to drip down his eyes "I was blinded by the fear of losing my daughter that I agreed to pact and launch my army to attack Dragnof"

Natsu looks at Toma then to Hisui as he sees that she had peculiarly pointed ears and that was something not common for a human to have

"she's..a half elf, isn't she?" Natsu asked as Toma opened his eyes and looks at the Dragon King "you agreed to a pact to neglect the welfare of Beastmen and the others. Even when your daughter is a half beastmen. How low can you human even go?"

"I know that you bear hate to me for agreeing to do such actions, but…" Toma said before he looks to Hisui who just rested on her bed with an unwell look on her "…to a father! there's nothing more important than your own child's life!"

Natsu stared down on the small king before he looks at Hisui

"she's not ill" Natsu said as Toma and the others looks at him "the illness she's currently having, it's no illness. It's a curse, a Depth Long Curse that causes one to be in a sleep like paralysis. Making it look like one is sick but in fact cursed"

"c-cursed?!" Toma stated "she was cursed!? But the doctors and the mages!"

"this curse is not an ordinary curse" Natsu said as he got near the bed and placed a hand to Hisui's forehead, black veins instantly appearing around her face, down her neck and to her body. Everyone was surprised to see the black veins as Toma nearly fainted "this is a demon's curse"

"d-demon's curse? Then the illness was placed upon the princess by the Demons!?" Makarov stated in surprise as Natsu shook his head

"the Demons maybe vile beasts and such but if they were going to place a curse to the princess or anyone, they would've placed the Death Curse instead of this curse" Natsu explained as he takes his hands away and the black veins around Hisui instantly disappeared "I believe that someone who knows of the black arts teachings is doing this instead. I know of a few mages who could conjure demon curses. All of them are dead except for one"

"one? And who would that be?" Toma said as Natsu leans away and his face plate soon slides close with his eyes glowing red behind it

"get down" Natsu said as he faces towards the window nearby

"what?" Rob asked looking confusion, but Makarov looks serious

"GET DOWN!" Natsu exclaimed as swings his hand up and creates a flaming barrier that burns away several black spheres that nearly hits the king and the Princess

Natsu soon grabs his magic gun and fired several shots towards the window, breaking its glass before a shadow came looming out of the room and to the outside

"w-what on earth?!" Toma exclaimed in shock as he protectively covered his daughter's body with his small body

"guard the king!" Natsu said as he snaps his fingers two times before reaching his hand out and another magic gun appeared "make sure that no one gets out or in the kingdom!"

Natsu soon went and flied out of the castle by the window, his wings instantly spreading out of the castle

"was that an assassin, Ma-bo?" Rob asked a bit shooked up from the sudden action

"perhaps, but this assassin seems to not only be aiming to silence the life of the King and the Princess" Makarov noted as his face turned stern "and that of my King"

A black shadow looms around the streets of the kingdom as it glasses of houses were all shattered when it went pass them

Natsu flies in as he started firing his magic guns at the looming shadow, all his shots missing its target before one managed to hit it.

The shadow flies out of the ground before crashing into a closed bar, breaking into it instantly

Natsu flied down as he landed to the streets while civilians started to come out of their home and see what the commotion was

"a human with shadow magic, no wonder" Natsu said as he got into the destroyed bar where he finds a black cloaked mage with a bullet wound on his right leg "you're not just human, but you're only a half. I can already guess the other half"

Getting closer to the cloaked black mage, Natsu pointed his gun at the man's hood and pulled it down to reveal that the cloaked man had demon like horns on his head

"oyu urdmerer fo nki! Monde ingk's bodol! oyu urdmerer fo won bodol! Monde ingk's rothber!? Pats ym bodol ot hatt! Noe yad! Noe yad oyu halls ide! ide!" the cloaked man shouted out in some sort language inhuman as Natsu just looks at him with his gun pointed at the half demon man's head

"I halls ide…" Natsu spoke out in the same language as the half demon kin with his eyes glowing black "..utb tno yadto"

The half demon man glared angrily at Natsu before he roared out furiously going for a last run attack

Seeing the action, Natsu instantly pulled the trigger
