Julia bottled up until the weekend came around. When Maura was bringing Will to bed and Jane was watching TV. She slumped huffing onto the couch next to her mother.

"Maybe she doesn't like me because I'm ugly." Julia stated and fidgeted with the hem of her shirt. Jane gave her a surprised glance. For one because Maura had been right about Julia coming out when she was ready. And second because of the topic.

"Who the hell says that you're ugly. Show them to me and I will beat them!" Jane exclaimed theatrically, knowing that it would make her daughter laugh. And Julia did. "Ma. You're a cop. You cant beat up people." She chuckled and Jane smiled. "The hell I can if they insult my kid."

"No, you cant. And I don't want you to. Besides no one said that I'm ugly. But have you seen my face?" Julia pointed at some pimples. "Yeah, had them too. They will go away. And if Amanda doesn't like you because of your look…"

"I know, then shes the wrong person. Mommy gave me the speech the other day." Julia said smartly.

"And mommy is always right." Jane replied.

"No, she's not, but you say so because you love her." Her daughter scrunched up her nose.

"Will I ever have someone to love the way you love mommy?" she asked and rested her head on Janes shoulder.

"I'm sure you will. Don't hurry. It takes time sometimes. But its worth the wait." Jane wrapped her arms around the girl and kissed her forehead. Funny how teenagers thought to be grown-up, but at the same time they were still far away from it Jane thought when a comfortable silence lingered over them.

"You know, Granny lied to me." Julia spoke up after a while fidgeting with the hem of her shirt again.

"What about?" Jane asked and tried not to get angry at her mother.

"About dad." Her girl huffed. "She told me that you were very much in love with him and that he had to leave for Spain for a job. That's why he is not here."

Jane silently clicked her tongue. How could Angela do that?

"But I knew that she was lying because her eyebrow wiggles if she does. That's why I asked you. And I'm glad that you told me the truth, even if I don't like it." Julia silently said and shifted to look into her mother's eyes. "You never lie. That's what I like about you."

The brunette shuffled her hand through her girl's hair and smiled. "Thank you. I was really worried when you flew off the other day."

"You kept me." Julia mumbled, meaning that Jane could have had an abortion and Jane nodded. "and it was the best decision of my life." She proudly stated.

"I remember when we were in New York."

"You do? I thought that you were too little."

"No."

Jane tried to find a reason why Julia brought that up. But as Maura had said: her girl was a lot like her, and she was sure to get an explanation soon.

"What do you remember?" Jane asked after a while when curiosity got the best of her.

"You and mommy fighting a lot. Julia and me building a tent in my room. You crying almost every night." Julia averted her eyes. "It gives me hope somehow. Things can change for the better, I think. You and mommy are happy now. I keep thinking that even if something is bad, there will some good come out of it. Do you think that I'm right?"

Jane smiled and nodded. "Yes baby. I think so too."

Julia gave a satisfied grunt and lifted from the couch to stretch. "I'm tired, I'm off to bed ma."

"I'm going to look where Maura is and we'll also go to bed. Is there something special you want to do tomorrow?"

"Nah, Sophie and I want to meet some friends at the cinema, if that's okay?"

"It sure is. What movie are you going to watch?"

"You probably don't know it. Its for young people." Her daughter teased her, and Jane stood quickly to tickle her. Julia laughed until tears ran down her cheeks. "I remember that too." She stated with a wink.

"Ma?"

"Yes baby?"

"I love you."

"I love you too my angel."

Jane watched her disappear and heard her walk upstairs, taking two steps at a time. She could hardly believe that she had raised such a sweet kid. "I'm not such a bad ma after all." She mumbled to herself when Maura walked into the room.

"What did you say?" she asked, and Jane shrugged. "I was talking to myself. Are we ready for bed?"

"I almost fell asleep when reading Will his bedtime story. So, yes. I just wanted to ask you the same thing." They smiled at each other and Jane took Maura's hand to walk to the bedroom together.

"Were you able to talk?" Maura asked, once they lay in bed and the lights were out.

"Yeah. You were right. She came to me. She's such an intelligent and sweet girl."

"She is indeed. Like mother, like daughter I always think when I see you together." Maura admitted with a chuckle. "So, are you okay? Is she okay?"

Sshe thinks that Amanda rejected her because she's ugly." Jane huffed.

"I gave them the speech only last week. How can they stick to such nonsense?" Maura said fiercely.

"Because they are teenagers."

"Yes, but we raise them to have self-esteem and then that!"

"Hey. Be honest. Sometimes we doubt ourselves still at our age." The brunette rolled over to form the big spoon to Maura and chuckled softly at her wife's antics.

"Anyways. We're fine. Ma lied to her about her father. That got her angry. And of course, hearing that well you know how I conceived her. It was a shock. But she thanked me for telling her the truth. So, again Dr. Isles-Rizzoli, you were right."

Maura chuckled and pulled Janes arms closer to leave a gentle kiss on the back of her hand.

"I love the sound of this and most of all I love you sergeant Rizzoli-Isles."

"I'm happy to hear that because as it happens I love you too." Jane spoke against Maura's neck, leaving some small kisses to it.

"The girls are meeting some friends at the cinema tomorrow. I said that it was okay. This means that we…"

"This means that we can finally do some thorough cleaning of our garage." Maura interrupted her and laughed when Jane cringed. "Got you!" she said triumphantly and the brunette snorted. "You didn't get me at all. I was going to say that it means that we could visit ma."

Maura was the one to cringe. "No, you were not. You were just about to imply that we could use the time to have sexual intercourse." Maura emphasized the last two words, knowing that it would drive Jane crazy.

"I'm not going to have sexual intercourse with you Maur!" she stated fiercely, and Maura chuckled. "No, I thought that we could have sex."

The blonde huffed. "Sex. Really? Isn't it the same?"

"Nope. Sexual intercourse sounds so clinical. How often do I have to explain that to you? Its not sexy." Jane smirked but kept on kissing the neck.

Maura turned in Janes arms and caught the brunette's lips for a gentle kiss.

Before they knew the kiss was deepening and soon turning into a passionate dance of their tongues. Maura's hand slipped under Janes BPD shirt and worked their way up to Janes breasts. "Uhm." Jane made a sound of appreciation at Maura's ministrations and soon they were making love to each other.

"Happy valentines' day." Maura said when they lay in each other's arms afterwards, still panting.

"Happy valentines' day baby." Jane whispered and they kissed each other gently.

"I have a present for you." The doc said and slid over to her nightstand. She rummaged around for a while and took out a wrapped gift. "There was no need to." Jane assured Maura. "I know. But I wanted to."

Jane tore the wrapping paper off and found tickets for the next Sox game at Fenway park. Best seats as Jane noticed. "We've been together for 10years now." Maura gave her a warm smile and hugged her.

Jane blushed slightly and nodded in awe. "Who would have thought that you would endure me for such a long time?" she joked and opened a box. Out came a watch she had been flirting with for a while. There was an engraving at its back which said: Forever yours!

She thanked Maura by giving her the sweetest kiss. Immediately trying it on. Maura chuckled. "I'm more surprised that you endured me for so long with my quirks."

Jane huffed. "Piece of cake. I love you! How cant i?"

"Are we getting cheesy now?" Maura teased her and Jane laughed. "Maybe. But it's the truth!"

Then Jane handed her present to Maura and watched her unpack the necklace which she had especially chosen for her. Maura liked it and thanked Jane.
