Chapter Twenty:
"Dammit! That hurts!" Kagura held on to her chest where her heart should be. She was forced to land out of fear of passing out. She had been looking for a place to hide when she felt the searing pain in her chest. Naraku knew. She cursed herself for not noticing the saimyosho that followed her to the village.
What was she going to do now? If she returned to Naraku she was dead, but she could only hide for so long before he found her. Her only hope was for Naraku to die. She needed to warn Sesshomaru to be prepared, but she was still having a hard time breathing.
Looking around for a place to rest, she cursed as she spotted wolves sniffing around. She had to get out of here before they caught her. Not being able to fly, she made her way through the darkness of the forest.
Kouga had been out hunting when one of his wolves smelt a demon. He was still hurting over losing Kagome and was glad to have something to take his mind off of her. Sniffing around, he picked up the scent of Naraku's wind witch. He grinned as he followed it.
It didn't take long to find her and he let out a dark chuckle as he smelled her fear. He wished it was the dead bitch, but this worked too.
"Kagura? What seems to be the matter? You look frightened. Don't tell me you're afraid of the big bad wolf?" He laughed as his wolves growled.
"Wolf. Don't kid yourself, I don't see anything big around here." She glanced around looking for an escape, but she was trapped.
"Sure sure. It would seem this is my lucky day boys! My claws have been thirsting for blood, even if it will take forever to wash her stench off, she'll have to do." He raised his claws menacingly.
"Look who's talking wolf! The only stench around here is you!" She had to try to stall him. "What's the matter Kouga? Upset that your woman chose the dog over you?" She smiled as he growled. "Can't say I blame her really, even a half-breed is better than some wolf cub." She jumped as he lashed out, just barely missing her with his claws. His eyes flashed red and she knew she was in trouble.
"Grrrrrr shut your mouth bitch!" He crouched down. "Don't you dare speak about my Kagome! She would never choose that mutt over me!" His face turned dark as he growled. "She is dead because of him! And after I kill his dead woman, I'm gonna kill him too!" He smiled at her. "But you're first." He went to attack as she knocked him away with her dance of dragons. He shook his head as he went to strike again.
Kagura was panicking, normally the wolf would be nothing for her, but she could feel her heart being slowly pressed and gasped. She had to think of something quick. "You talk about her as if she is still dead! Did you not hear?" She yelled as she dodged his claws.
"What are you talking about bitch! I was there when she died!" He swiped at her again. "Now stop moving so I can kill you!"
Kagura used all of her strength with one more move to push him back. She hit him with her dance of blades and was relieved to see she did some damage. "That is where you are wrong wolf! Did you forget about the sword Sesshomaru wields!" She breathed deeply as she seen him freeze. "I saw her myself! He restored her life with the tenseiga, she is not dead!"
Kouga froze at her words. He remembered hearing about the powerful sword that returned life, but he thought it was just a rumor. He thought about when Sesshomaru was at his cave. He seemed to be fighting the air with his sword. Is that what he was doing? Was she really alive? He knew he couldn't trust Naraku's spawn, but it was worth looking into. If she was alive, he would make sure she stayed that way, and no one would stop him.
"You better hope you ain't lying Kagura! If I find out you are, you're fucking dead." He was about to take off when she called out to him.
"Wait! I need you to pass a message off to her!" She sighed as he turned to her. "Naraku knows she's alive and he's coming! Do not let them lower their guard!" He nodded and took off.
Kagura laid back and held her chest. She had one problem down, now she just needed to wait. If she could stay hidden until the battle, she might come out of this alive. Now she just needed to figure out how to protect Kanna and Kohaku. She would have to wait for the right moment to come out.

Kagome straddled Inuyasha's lap as she deepened the kiss. Her heart hurt at the pain he has been in and she knew this would ease some of it.
Not that she was doing this to just help him, no, she was done waiting. She originally wanted to have some time to fall deeper in love, but it only took her a few days to realise that was impossible. She loved him so deeply for over three years and she was done waiting to be with him. He was hers and she was his, and she wouldn't wait even one more minute.
It took her death to realise all the other stuff didn't matter. All that mattered was them, in this moment. No Kikyo, or Hojo, or Kouga or Naraku. Just him and her, like it should be.
Kagome pushed him down on the bed and smile as she met no resistance. Taking a break for air she lightly kissed his face before licking his neck, she grew bolder as he moaned and started to suck his neck.
Inuyasha was in heaven! Who knew anything could feel this good. He was in so much pain just a minute ago, and now he couldn't remember why. He was a little nervous about what to do, but he hoped his instincts would kick in soon. The feeling of her sucking on his neck should have been weird, but my Gods did it feel amazing. He didn't know what to do with his hands so he rubbed them up and down her back. As she started to get more into it, he made a bold move to slide his hands lower. She didn't seem to mind so he grabbed her ass as he ground into her. No wonder why Miroku did this so much! His eyes rolled back as she moaned and the smell of her arousal filled the room.
Kagome couldn't keep in her moans as his hardness rub against her. Her robe was parted at her legs and the only thing that separated them was a thin towel. She knew he was very well endowed and was a little nervous if he was gonna fit inside of her, but by Gods, she was gonna try. She moved her way back to his mouth kissing him passionately. She moved her hips and was rewarded with a loud groan. All nervousness gone, she started to remove her robe.
She was going to kill him, there was no mistake about it. The taste of her mouth, the scent of her arousal and the heat of her core were slowly killing him. Then the little vixen had to go and remove her robe. He panted at the feel of her skin on his. It was more intimate than what they shared in the tub and he knew where this was going. He just hoped he would last that long. He grabbed her hips to make her stop, he needed a minute. She sat up on top of him smiling. She knew what she was doing to him, and he couldn't figure out why he was so shy before.
"You alright?" She asked with a smile. He wasn't looking in her eyes and she giggled making her breast jiggle a little.
"Y-yea. I'm good." He slowly dragged his hands up her sides till he reached her breast. Swallowing loudly he covered them with his hands. He knew he did something right when her head fell back and she mewed. He scraped her nipples with the tips of his claws lightly and watched as they hardened. Ok, she seems to like that. Lifting himself up, he took one in his mouth and sucked. She gasped and he was afraid he hurt her until she started rocking again.
If Kagome knew it would have felt this good, there is no way she would have made him wait. The feeling of his callous hands scraping against her soft skin made her shiver. His claws on her nipples sent a shock right through her and she panted. But his mouth, of his mouth, had her hips moving without even realising it. She needed more.
Pushing him back down, Kagome smiled at his confusion. There would be plenty of time to discover each other later, she needed him now!
"Inuyasha, I can't wait anymore, I need you." She purred as she rocked.
He subconsciously raised his hips as he closed his eyes. "K-kagome!" He tried to catch his breath. "I-I don't...know umm what to do." He panted as he blushed.
Kagome was actually surprised! Inuyasha was well over 200 years old! She figured he had lost his virginity at one point in time. Her heart melted knowing that she would be his first. She got off of his lap and laid on her back. Crooking her finger, she called him to her.
Inuyasha wasted no time climbing between her legs. His arms shook as he held his weight off of her and waited for instruction. He didn't have to wait long.
Kagome looked into his eyes as she grabbed his member. He jumped at the contact, and she lazily stroked him to get his attention. His eyes shot down at her and she smiled.
Inuyasha jumped as she grabbed him. No one had ever touched him there besides himself. No amount of self-pleasure could compare to the feeling of her soft hands. He closed his eyes as she lightly gripped him and it took everything he had to not finish in her hand. His eyes flew open wide as it started to move. He shook as she brought him to her entrance and he whimpered at the feel of her moist heat.
"This is where you need to go." She smiled at his jerky nod. "You need to push but go slow ok?" Again he nodded. "You're gonna feel a little resistance, and you'll need to push through it." She bit her lip as she sighed. "Ummm, don't be alarmed, but when you do, it's gonna hurt me a little, and there may be a little blood." She winced as his eyes widened.
Inuyasha did not expect to hear she would be in pain. "Kagome no! I-I...no! I won't hurt you, if this is gonna hurt then we ain't doing it." He would need to take a minute to take care of himself, but there was no way in hell he was hurting her.
She was not surprised by his reaction. Given recent events, she knew he would not want to hurt her in any way, but she knew she had to warn him too. Grabbing his face she tried to reason with him.
"Inuyasha, there's no way around this. It's part of being a woman and I want this." He just continued to shake his head. "Inuyasha, we can't be mates if we don't do this, I swear it's ok. It only hurts a little bit and then it will feel good." He still looked unconvinced and she was done.
Inuyasha was taken back when he suddenly found himself on his back. Kagome leaned over him and he was confused until he felt the most amazing feeling he had ever felt. There was a liquid heat starting to engulf him and he quickly discovered she was lowering herself on him. He wanted to stop her, but the feeling paralyzed him. All he could do was moan as she sank down on him.
Kagome winced a little as she was stretched. She knew it would be easier if she was better prepared, but with his claws, that was a little risky the first time. She took a deep breath as she reached her barrier and slammed down. She was happy he seemed to be in a daze, the pain wasn't as bad as she thought, but she still needed a minute to adjust. After a few minutes, the pain faded and she started to move.
"Oh gods!" Inuyasha closed his eyes as she rocked on top of him. He couldn't believe how good this felt. She was so tight it was almost painful, and he was pretty sure the heat of her core was melting his skin, but he never wanted this feeling to end. He needed more. He grabbed her hips as he moved her body faster.
"Inuyasha" Kagome whispered in a husky voice. She felt so full and alive. He filled her so deeply it was the most pleasurable pain she ever imagined. It caught her off guard when she felt her release sneaking up on her. She didn't expect to have one her first time, but the feeling was overwhelming.
Inuyasha couldn't take the slow pace anymore, he pulled her down and flipped them over, staying connected. Now in control, it took him a second to get a good rhythm, but then he started pounding into her.
The room was filled with moans and panted versions of each other's names. Both lost in each other's arms. Kagome would beg for him to go faster and Inuyasha was happy to comply. Soon both were at the brink and Inuyasha struggled to get his words out.
"K-gods-kagome!" He panted "I-i'm gonna have to bite you." He grunted and prayed she was paying attention.
"Ahh! I know, I have to bite you back!" She said quickly. He looked stunned for a second but was grateful she seemed to know what they had to do. With one hard thrust, he let go and felt her walls shudder as they screamed through their teeth in each other's necks. Their bodies shook as the rush of blood heightened their pleasure. It was a few minutes before they let go. Inuyasha was still trying to catch his breath as he dragged an equally struggling Kagome over to him. He slowly kissed her lips as their bodies cooled.

After his heart stopped beating out of his chest, Inuyasha had to hold back his tears. He had a mate. Not just a mate, but Kagome as a mate. He knew he was the luckiest Hanyou that ever lived. Their mixed scents were all around him and soothed his soul. The hint of blood lingered in the air and he was glad that she warned him. If she hadn't he would probably be freaking out.
"I love you Kagome, my mate." He nuzzled into her.
She smiled as he said it. She would never tire of hearing those words. "I love you too, Mate" She felt him smile into her neck.
"Get some sleep. It's gonna be a long night." They both laughed as they started to fall asleep. A couple of hours later, he kept his promise.

Morning came too soon for the newly mated couple. The night had been wonderful and they wanted to stay in their own private bubble, but they knew they had things to discuss. They took a long shower together and came down for breakfast. Inuyasha inhaled his ramen as Kagome made herself an omelet. Seeing his food gone she giggled and shared hers. After they cleaned up it was time to talk.
"So, do you know what you want to do?" She winced as his shoulders fell, but he couldn't avoid it.
"I don't know Kagome, if I kill her I'll feel guilty, but if I let her live and she comes after you again...can I risk that?"
She gave him a sympathetic smile. "I don't think she'll come after me again, but I trust your judgment. You're struggling so much because you're a good man. Whatever you decide, you have my support."
"Gee, thanks for the help mate." He smiled as she giggled.
"That's what I'm here for!"
"I'm starting to understand why Sesshomaru calls you an annoying bitch." He murmured.
She slapped his arm as they laughed. "Shut up." Their laughter died and she gave him a serious look. "Maybe you should talk to her alone Inuyasha." She held up her hand as he started to protest. "Now hear me out. I know there are things you guys need to talk about that would be easier to discuss if you're alone. It might help you make a decision."
"Like hell! And where would you be huh? No, Kagome. I'm not leaving you alone, especially not now." He kissed her head.
"Sesshomaru can stay with me, and Sango and Miroku...I'll be perfectly safe!" She rubbed his ears. "I think it's the right choice. I could feel you hold yourself back yesterday. You shouldn't have to do that. You both need your closure and I trust you completely." She tapped her mark on her neck.
He did have some things he wanted to say yesterday, but with Kagome right there...he just couldn't. Maybe it would help make up his mind. It was worth a shot anyway.
"You'll stay with Sesshomaru right?" She nodded. "And you swear you wouldn't be mad if I talked to her?" Again she nodded.
"We're mates now Inuyasha. I know that even if you wanted to, you couldn't do anything with her."
"That reminds me. How the hell did you know about what to do last night? I know Myouga never told you about mating." He would kick the fleas ass if he did.
"Oh! Well, when I was training with Sesshomaru, he mentioned that I should know about inu customs if I was going to be apart of his pack! He gave me a whole bunch of scrolls to read and one of them was about mating." She tapped her chin. "Did you know that some full dog demons actually form a knot while mating? That can't be comfortable for the woman."
Inuyasha blushed as he stuttered. "Kagome! I don't want to hear that shit!" Gods, what the hell is wrong with her. She looked at him innocently and smiled.
"I wonder if Sesshomaru does that, huh, poor Rin." She screamed as Inuyasha chased her through the house.
"Get back here woman! I don't want to hear that shit! And gods Kagome Rin is a fucking kid!"
She laughed as he caught up to her and he flicked her nose. "I'm not saying now jeez! I mean when she's older. They totally love each other." She shook her head.
Inuyasha looks appalled! "Ewwww! Shut the fuck up about it!" He walked away as she laughed.
She was still teasing him as they left for the well.

Inuyasha couldn't look at his brother. Sesshomaru kept raising his brow, but Inuyasha would just shudder and look away.
"Miko, what did you do?" He asked Kagome.
She tried to look surprised. "Me? Why nothing my Lord, whatever gave you that impression."
"Hn. Maybe it is not I that my brother can not look at." He glanced over at her, "Perhaps it is you," She tilted her head. "Are your lovemaking skills lacking Miko? This one would think you learned something from the scrolls I gave you." He laughed as her face turned red.
"LACKING! HUH! It wasn't my amazing lovemaking that disgusted him DOG! I just informed him of a traight that...MMPH!" Inuyasha covered her mouth with his hand as she started laughing.
"Enough wench! I already said stop talking about it!" He blushed as he walked away.
Sesshomaru was confused. What traight did he have that was making his brother uncomfortable. He would have to ask the Miko when they were alone.
They told Sesshomaru of Inuyasha's plans to speak to Kikyo once more before he decided what to do with her. He was not happy with the idea, but Kagome seemed fine so he would trust his brother. Now that they were mated he would be more protective of her than ever. So, he let it go. Besides, he missed talking to Kagome, he would enjoy teasing her as they waited.
Sesshomaru stopped walking and sniffed the air. His brows creased as he smelled Rin coming towards them, he knew she was helping Kaede today and was curious why she was not there.
"What's the matter Lassie? Did Timmy fall in the well again?" Kagome laughed as the two demons looked at her.
"What the fuck is a Timmy?" Inuyasha asked. His mate said the weirdest shit sometimes.
Kagome was going to explain when Rin ran up to them.
"Lady Kagome! You're back!" She hugged the older woman.
"Hi Rin! What brings you out here today?"
Rin smiled at her "This Rin is going to pick some herbs for Lady Kaede! Shippo is waiting for Inuyasha to come before he helps me!"
"Where is Jaken Rin?" Sesshomaru did not like the idea of her being alone.
"He is already there waiting for this Rin my lord! Lady Kaede sent him early to make sure it was safe! Do not worry, it's only right over there! Rin will be safe!" She pointed off to a nearby meadow. Sesshomaru could see A-Un waiting and he relaxed a little. He nodded his head as she took off.
"She'll be fine Sess, don't worry!" Kagome smiled at him.
They reached the hut and Inuyasha sent Shippo off to Rin. He kissed Kagome before heading inside.
"Are you sure you are fine Kagome?" Sesshomaru asked her as they walked off.
"Yea, I'm good. They need to get this out before Inuyasha makes a decision. He'll hold back if I'm there and he needs to do this." She smiled at him
"So soft-hearted." He took her hand and smiled as she squeezed it.
"Where are Sango and Miroku?"
"The slayer wanted to visit her family's graves and the monk went with her. They left shortly before your return."
"I'm glad, they needed some time alone together. With everything that's been happening, who knows when they'll get another chance." He nodded as they continued.
Finding a spot to sit and relax, they talked and teased each other for a while. Kagome laughed uncontrollably when she explained why Inuyasha was avoiding him. She had never seen Sesshomaru that red!
She told him about Inuyasha wanting to claw his eyes out and he made a mental note to rub it in Inuyasha's face that he had already seen Kagome naked once. It was worth the risk. They were getting ready to head back when Sesshomaru smelled something.
"What is it?" Kagome looked worried. She could feel the darkness in the air.
"Naraku." He took off towards the meadow as Kagome followed.
When she caught up to him, she was surprised he stopped.
"What's the matter?" Looking around him she gasped.
Blood.
All over the meadow was the blood of the slain two-headed dragon. A-Un lay in the flowers missing one of his heads. She felt sick as her stomach dropped. The poor dragon was mutilated. She looked away from the gruesome sight. Who would do such a thing! She fought her tears as she tried to find the children. Then, her heart stopped. For there on the other side of the meadow stood Naraku holding an unconscious Shippo and a crying RIn. She went to run after them but was stopped by Sesshomaru's arm. She could see blood dripping down Shippo's head and she shook.
The feeling got worse as she noticed Kohaku was also with him. He had Jaken bound and gagged. His eyes were blank and she cried seeing him like this.
"Sess...wh-what are we gonna do?" She was scared for the children. She knew Naraku would not hesitate to kill them.
"Be quiet." He whispered harshly. His mind was trying to form a plan, but it didn't look that good.
"Ah Kagome, it would seem you have finally decided to join us." Kagome shook with anger as Naraku smiled at her.
"Let them go Naraku!"
"Kukukuku and why would I do that koi?" He tightened the tentacle that was around Rin's neck as she cried out in pain. "We are having so much fun!"
Sesshomaru growled out as he watched his Rin cry. The scent of fear so strong he could smell it from here.
"Now, if you are willing to trade...I may be more willing to let them go." He smiled.
Sesshomaru growled as she stepped forward, she ignored his warning and spoke. "What kind of trade?" She would give anything to save her kids!
"Why it's simple really, you for all of them."
She didn't even hesitate. "Done."
Sesshomaru swung around and gave her a wide-eyed look. "You will not Miko! This one forbids it!" Was she out of her mind!
She lowered her voice. "I have to Sess, he will kill them if I don't."
"And he will kill you! Did you not understand when I explained tenseiga will only work once!" He was fuming! There was no way he would let her go with that beast!
Kagome grabbed his hand. "I know Sess, and Rin has already been brought back once." She smiled sadly as his eyes widen further. "He doesn't want me dead Sesshomaru. I have faith that you and Inuyasha will find me. I can handle him for a while till you do. But, he will kill them if I don't."
"There are fates worse than death Kagome, do not do this. Think of your mate!" He didn't want to lose Rin, but he couldn't let her go either.
"Times up koi. What will you do?" They both looked at Naraku as Rin let out another cry. Sesshomaru's eyes flashed red as he seen blood dripping down her neck.
"Tell Inuyasha I love him, I know you'll find me." She kissed his cheek as he stood frozen. "I love you Sess." With that she ran across the clearing.
Sesshomaru went to chase her when he noticed the grip on Rin tighten. He shook as he tried to figure out what to do. His stomach turned as Kagome reached Naraku.
"Let them go Naraku, I will not fight you." She looked at Shippo and cried as she seen he was still breathing. Rin's frightened eyes never left her and she knew she made the right choice.
Naraku smiled as he dropped the kit. He shot out and grabbed Kagome before she could reach for him. "Come koi, we have a long day ahead of us." He threw a frightened Rin across the field as they disappeared in a cloud of miasma.
