On with the story
At the battlefield, Berserkers charge their ground towards the Dragnof Fiore Army. Charging straight for them
The berserkers soon run into a trap as they falls into pit holes, sinks into mudhole, step on an ice mine that froze their legs, stepping on Ever Fairy Dust Bombs. All of them were getting attacked mercilessly
"archers!" Gajeel shouted as the archers aimed their bow to the sky where the angels were flying in "fire!"
The archers fired their arrows as they rain down upon the angels, piercing their wings or their body, causing some to fall to their death, others crashing to the ground unable to fly
"it's working!" Jet exclaimed
"they're dwindling down!" Droy added in
"it's not time to celebrate yet!" Laxus exclaimed as he pointed to the sky were the Valkyries and their Legend Beasts gathered around, "those Valkyries and their giant beast are still there!"
The Legend Beasts let out their roaring cries before they all fired a blast of water, earth, fire, air, ice, light, lightning, and magic blasts. Their attacks combined creating a powerful energy blast that fires at the base camp's direction
"get down!" Gajeel shouted as everyone jumped down as the attack went flying over them and instantly annihilated the campsite and some soldiers who were still within there. The blast of the shockwave was so powerful that it nearly wiped everyone out
Gajeel and the others watched how powerful the attack was and couldn't believe that they managed to survive with their lives from it
The Valkyries floated behind the Legend Beasts as they seemed to be nearly drained of energy from unleashing such an attack
"looks like there are some who are still alive" Afl said seeing some enemy soldiers upon the land
"let's go and take their souls then" Herja said leaning her axe against her shoulders
"no, we shall strike them down once more with a fused blast" Vaskr said "that way we can be sure that not one of them survive against it anymore"
"very well" Saklauss said as the Valkyries yanked the golden chains on the legend beasts, making them heed their commands
The Legend Beasts let out their cries before they started to charge up their energy in their body once more
"once we finished taking them out, let us join Freyja and Speko in finding Dimaria" Stor stated "they might have found Lizardius already"
"the chances are that are highly probable" Saela replied
"that won't be possible" a voice spoke as the Valkyries look behind them and sees the Pope floating towards them "Freyja and Speko has been defeated in battle"
"Pope!? Why are you here!?" Herja said in surprise
"wait, did you just say that Freyja and Speko has been defeated!?" Afl exclaimed "don't joke around!"
"Freyja who is the strongest spear and Speko the strongest shield, no one could have ever defeat them" Saela stated
"but this no one is Lizardius Natsu Dragneel." The Pope stated "Valkyries, you must avenge your fallen sisters by eliminating all who stands in the way of our god"
"understood" the Valkyries replied before they look to the battlefield and could see Gajeel and the others regrouping
Gajeel and the others regrouped the remaining soldiers before they see the Legend Beasts recharging their energy into one more attack
"they're going to attack with that again!?" Freed exclaimed
"and there's no cover here left!" Ever exclaimed as there were wide in the open
The legend beasts attack charged up before they fired their element blast. The streams of energy combined into one and flies towards the army group
But before it could come close to harming anyone, a powerful bolt of lightning strikes down from the sky, clashing against the powerful energy blast
Everyone looks in surprise to see the feat as the two attacks clashed before causing a massive explosion
"hang on!" Gajeel exclaimed as everyone shielded themselves from the flying debris of the explosion
The skies soon turned dark as black clouds appeared everywhere
Thunder rang out, bolts of lightning strikes down everywhere before Apophis' head appears from within the black clouds
"what is that?!" Bickslow exclaimed as Apophis spreads his wings and let out a roar
The Legend Beasts let out their own roaring cries as they started to retaliate against the golden chains
"is that the Black Snake God, Apophis!?" Herja exclaimed
"but that snake is crimson in color!" Skalauss stated
"wait! Look!" Afl exclaimed as she pointed out that Natsu was on top of Apophis' head
"Lizardius!?" Vaskr stated in surprise
Apophis roars out as Natsu rides on top before he lifts his scythe up and the thunderstorm was soon filled with jolts of lightning everywhere
Natsu holds his scythe up before he swings it down
A powerful bolt of lightning strikes down to the ground before raining through the enemies standing upon the earth
The attack was devastating as the enemy forces on the ground were wiped out instantly
"what power!" Herja exclaimed as their ground forces were wiped out instantly upon Natsu's arrival
"he annihilated them all!?" Afl stated in shock
"there is no time for that! He is coming!" Vaskr exclaimed
Natsu and Apophis soon went flying towards them as the Legend Beasts let out their roaring cries
"Valkyries! To battle!" Stor exclaimed as she summoned her bow and arrow while riding on her Eagle Legend Beast
"to battle!" Saela and the others exclaimed as they summoned their weapons and ride upon their legend beasts.
Upon the ground, Gajeel and the others watched the battle that took in the sky
"is that our king?" Bickslow asked looking at the battle
"where did he get that giant flying snake?!" Droy and Jet exclaimed
"seems like joining Dragnof was the best choice that we have ever made in our entire life, huh?" Laxus said as Gajeel nodded in agreement
"hey! You guys!" Barta came running in as the others look at him
"Barta! Where have you been!? We were getting our assess kicked a few minutes ago, you know!" Ever exclaimed all angry
"hey! I was given a mission with my old man to evacuate the King, you know!" Barta barked back at the Fairy as a spark of rivalry flies in between them
"how is the situation?" Ranta came in while carrying Dimaria by the shoulders
"hey! That girl!" Freed exclaimed as his hands going for his weapon
"Ranta, give us a good explanation before we go ballistic" Gajeel said as everyone got tensed to see Dimaria who they believed was still an enemy
"for a later time, right now we need to secure them" Ranta said as he turns around and looks to Freyja and Speko, both Valkyries unconscious and tied up "this war was setup by a hidden enemy"
Apophis let out a hissing roar as the Crimson Snake wraps around the Lion and Eagle Legend beast together while Natsu was flying around, battling with the Valkyries and the remaining Legend Beasts
In the sky, thunder rang everywhere as lightning strikes down upon Natsu's scythe
The Dragon King swings his weapon, unleashing energy waves of lightning at the Valkyries who dodged them
Natsu swings his scythe behind as he deflected an arrow that was fired from Stor, he soon swings his scythe to the side, sending a powerful and heavy gust at Stor, nearly blowing her away
Herja and Afl came flying in as the two swings their axe and hammer at Natsu who blocked it with his scythe
"you mortal! How dare you take the lives of our sisters!?" Herja exclaimed as she and Afl tried to put more pressure in their weapon, to push Natsu down but the Dragon King didn't even get pushed at all "you shall pay with your life!"
"sounds like someone lied to you" Natsu said as he pushed the two away before kicking Herja on the gut, and then slamming the back end of his scythe on Afl's back neck, causing the two Valkyries to start falling down before they were caught by Saklauss who was riding on her Swan Legend Beast "I maybe a warrior, but I don't take innocent lives"
"lies! You have taken the lives of our sisters!" Stor exclaimed as she pulled three golden arrows on her bow before firing it at Natsu who swings his scythe and deflected them with ease "the Pope's words are the voice of our god!"
"Pope, huh?" Natsu said as his eyes scanned the area and he finds the Pope who was flying away from the battle. Natsu's eyes glowed red and black as he sees a black aura covering the Pope's body "more like an impostor"
"Apophis!" Natsu called out as the Crimson Snake slams its tail at the Lion, Eagle, and Deer Legend Beast, sending the three crashing to the ground before looking at Natsu "stop him!"
Natsu pointed his scythe at the direction of where the Pope is as Apophis nodded before he flies after the Pope
"and as for the rest of you" Natsu said as the Valkyries surrounds him "you all need to stop, you're being used right now"
"that trickery won't work on us, Lizardius" Vaskr said holding her whip "we will pass our god's judgement upon you!"
"in the name of the Valkyries of Brunnhilde, we shall take your soul!" Herja added in as the Valkyries' weapons shines in a golden light
"simultaneous attack!" Stor exclaimed as she fired several golden arrows at Natsu as they turns into arrows of light
Saklauss spins her staff as she fired a golden beam of light, Vaskr swings her whip to the side; firing a golden lightning bolt at Natsu who defended against them all before he sees Herja, Saela, and Afl flying in as their weapons charged in lightning
"the hard way then" Natsu said as he swings his scythe to the side before lifting it up
The ground erupted as lava bursts out and flooded the field before a pillar of flames rages out upon Natsu engulfing it
Herja, Saela, and Afl flies back from the pillar of flames as Natsu was within unharmed by it
"this should teach you to listen to people carefully" Natsu said as the pillar of flames disappeared and revealed Natsu's armor shining in a golden colour. He soon lifted his scythe as the thunderstorm rages with bolts of lightning that flies everywhere
"this is!?" Stor exclaimed as she shielded her eyes from the intense lightning bolts that just flies everywhere
"Heaven's Smite? No this is something far more powerful!" Herja exclaimed as she backs away from a coming lightning bolt
"could this be?!" Afl exclaimed
"but that's not possible! Only a Valkyrie can use that technique!" Saklauss stated in shock as the storm rages around even more before a powerful bolt of lightning strikes down upon Natsu's scythe
"take it! my mother's ultimate technique!" Natsu exclaimed as the scythe shines in a golden color "Ragnarok's! Wrath!"
Natsu swings his scythe as it erupts a powerful magic shockwave that instantly causes the sky to split and blows the storm away
"Ragnarok's Wrath!?...that's impossible!" Saela exclaimed as the shockwave went flying towards the Valkyries and blew them away
"Aghhhh!" Vaskr and the other Valkyries screamed as Natsu's attack nearly destroyed the land and the sky with everyone around him
Natsu wield his scythe to the side as his golden armor slowly reverts to its black and red colour
He looks to the sky as it was cleared of any storm and revealed the setting sun before he hears cheering from the ground
Natsu turns and sees that Gajeel with the rest of the army were cheering for his victory against the Valkyries
His faceplate slides open as he had a smile on him
Natsu then sees his scythe glowing black and was dimming repeatedly before he sees a hologram-like image of Hael appearing in front of him
Hael wore a white dress with her black wings showing behind her back. She opened her eyes and looks at Natsu
"mom?" Natsu muttered out a bit surprised to see the holographic image
