Summer POV: I was searching the far eastern part of anima for my so called "brother/commander" and was walking through the forest when I came across a cave. "I doubt he would be hiding here but I should check it anyway." I muttered to myself before ducking into the cave to search it. A few hours had passed and I emerged from cave having found no sign of my brother. "damn it. Where are you Alastor? You can't hide from your punishment forever" I said as I walked away from the cave heading west towards the island of patch.
A few days had passed and I was slowly approaching the abandoned and destroyed village of kuroyuri when I came across a small back of beowulves. Deciding to fight them and destroy them on my way, I activated my Grimm ranger abilities that I still had despite being stripped of my rank as a ranger and killing almost all of the former rangers I called my friends.
I pulled out my signature ranger weapon "gore-ripper", a black and red with silver stripes running down the handle, double-bladed scythe that is able to regulate dust once a crystal is placed in the core of the weapon, it is also able to transform into high impact sniper rifle. (think the seventh seraph AM-R sniper from destiny two) and transformed it into its scythe mode and begun spinning it at high speeds slicing the beowulves in half as I ran towards the pack.
-MEANWHILE BACK ON THE ISLAND OF PATCH-
Ozpin/Oscar POV: a few days had passed since ruby was chosen by the grid to become the next leader of the rangers and was being trained by Alastor out in the courtyard in how to operate the T-Rex Zord properly and use the weaponry on it. I was helping tai out in the garden when we heard a massive explosion that shook the ground. "what the hell?!" I said as I tried to regain my balance. "sorry about that Hun. Al showed me how to perform a Mecha stomp." ruby yelled out from the T-Rex cockpit.
"that's fine. Just be careful next time and warn us ok hon?" I yelled back. "you got it!" she replied before closing the cockpit lid and went back to training. "she sure loves that mech doesn't she?" tai asked. "yea. I mean it's basically one giant weapon and you know how much she loves weapons." I replied with a laugh before dusting myself off. I decided to walk over to the mobile base that atlas had set up for Alastor to hunt down the rest of the mechs and check on the progress.
I opened the door to the mobile base and stepped inside, "so, where are we with finding the other "zords" as he called them?" I asked. "well, we think we found one just outside beacon academy." the atlas personnel said. "seriously? This whole time there was a "zord" outside beacon?" I asked with a shocked look on my face.
"yes. And we think it's the saber tooth zord." they said just as Alastor walked in. "good. Let's get going. The sooner we find the zord the sooner we can find out who the next ranger will be." Alastor said grabbing his PDA off the table and downloading the location to the Saber-tooth Zord and heading back out. I followed him after grabbing my Cain weapon and equipping it to my back. "ok, let's get the rest of team RWBY to come. One of them might be the next ranger." I said to Alastor as we walked up to the house.
Little did we know that the next few hours would change our lives forever.
