Location: Patch heading to emerald forest
Time: 01300 (1:00 p.m.)
Pov: Yang Xaio-Donna (last name is combined from Belladonna and Xiao-Long due to Yang marrying Blake)
Yang POV: Blake and left our kids in the care of my dad as the rest of my team and I along with Alastor and Oscar boarded a bullhead and headed off towards the emerald forest to find the saber tooth zord. "so, what is so special about these zords al?" I asked as I looked towards the Grimm man with unease because I still didn't trust him. "well, I don't know where they came from but many years ago, I was out on a hunting mission when I came across a cave in the frozen tundra."
"I could have sworn I heard something calling my name so I walked into the cave where I discovered the zords and what looked like some kind of ancient alien computer, when I approached it, it lit up and I began to glow. While I was glowing, I began to see images of an event that I later learned was an ancient war against the Grimm. I saw 5 warriors that used the Grimm abilities and piloted these zords. I later learned those people were the original 5 Grimm rangers." he said with a look of remembrance on his face.
"so, you weren't the first rangers?" my wife Blake asked him. "no, we weren't. It turns out every time a ranger dies, a new one is chosen at random, and there hadn't been any rangers in over 200 years. So, when I discovered the cave apparently, I was chosen, to be the red ranger who is the leader of the Grimm rangers." he said as he looked towards ruby. "for years I trained and learned about the previous rangers throughout history."
"When summer found me that day, the weapon I carried that belonged to the previous white ranger glowed and that is when I discovered I found the next white ranger." he said as a tear fell down his face. I stood up and placed my hand on his shoulder. "it's ok if you don't want to talk about it. I know it's a touchy subject." I said as I comforted him.
"thank you, yang, but you all need to know why we are fighting against the previous white ranger." he said to me. "this white ranger, why did she betray you?" Weiss asked him. "the previous white ranger is my sister, and ruby's mom. She betrayed us when she learned the truth about the origins of the zords. To this day I still don't know the truth about the origins, or, how she learned about them."
"She wanted to harness the zords and use them as a weapon against the gods. I still don't know why." he said in response to Weiss's question. "so, mom was the white ranger huh?" I spoke. "wow. I knew mom was a super mom but this takes it to a whole new level." I said as looked at him. "still, why didn't she ever mention you? I mean if you're her brother then she should have told us we had another uncle." I asked him.
"that is because we agreed that you shouldn't know about me until you were older." he replied to my question as the bullhead we were riding in sat down in a clearing in the emerald forest. "we are here." he spoke as everyone stood up and exited the bullhead. "yang...yang..." a voice in the back of my head spoke as I looked around to see who said my name. "who said that?" I spoke as Alastor looked at me. "what are you hearing yang?" he asked me.
"something is saying my name." I replied. "the saber zord is nearby. It is calling its next pilot. Yang, you are the next yellow ranger." he said as he walked up to me. "which way is the voice coming from?" he asked me. "it's coming from the cave nearby." I replied as we all walked towards the cave. "good, then we are right on track. When we find it, yang, you must look it in the eye and say this: "remnant access! Saber zord remnant force yellow" to open the cockpit and to activate your ranger powers." he said to me.
"the same goes for any of you that are rangers. If you are chosen, you will say something similar. You will say: remnant access! The name of the zord remnant force: your color. And that is how you will access your ranger abilities." he said as he looked at the rest of the group. A few moments had passed and we had entered the cave and found the saber tooth tiger zord. "woah. This thing is huge!" I said as I looked at the zord.
"all right yang. Its time. Look at it directly in the eye, and say it." he said as he looked at me before having everyone else step out of the cave and get to get a safe distance. "okay, *exhale* I can do it. REMNANT ACCESS! SABER ZORD REMNANT FORCE YELLOW!" I yelled as I began to glow bright yellow and accessed my ranger power. Before long the saber zord let out a loud roar and burst out of the cave with me in the cockpit.
