Time: 01000 (10:00 a.m.) a few days after yang found her zord
POV: Ruby Rose (red ranger)
Ruby POV: I had woken up around 0800 (8:00 am) and had decided that I wanted to ask my new uncle about his previous team of rangers so I walked down the stairs after getting dressed and headed to the kitchen to find that my uncle qrow and uncle Alastor were sitting at the table drinking coffee while my dad was making breakfast for everyone. "ah, good morning ruby." Alastor said to me. "morning uncle al." I replied thinking to myself 'I'm going to have to get used to saying that.'. I walked over to the table and sat down rubbing my eyes.
"didn't sleep well I take it?" uncle qrow asked me. "yea, I didn't get much sleep last night. Too excited to be a ranger I guess." I replied with a laugh. "well, you need to get proper amount of rest, rest is crucial." Alastor said as my husband walked into the kitchen. "ah good morning everyone." he said as he walked up and kissed me on the cheek. "morning hon." I replied.
"so, uncle. I wanted to ask, what was your ranger team like?" I asked Alastor as looked at him. "I was wondering the same thing." Oscar said. "well, I think it is best to tell that story to everyone including team jnpr." he replied. "well, I guess I should go wake them up and get everyone out to the courtyard." I said as I stood up and went to wake everyone up and get them outside.
2 hours later and it was around 01200 now, and we were all gathered around the courtyard when Alastor began to speak up. "you all are probably wonder why I asked you all here. Well, it's because I'm going to tell you the story of my original ranger team. A team of rangers compiled of 8 individuals who trained alongside me to become rangers. And one of them later became my wife." he said as he walked back and forth.
"as you all already know I was the red ranger and my sister summer rose was the white ranger. But what I didn't tell you is there was 6 others. Matthias Walker, Emily Valkyrie, Jack Baker, austin Holt, Ashley Wong, and ryuko Matoi. These 6 people were the other rangers besides myself and summer rose." he explained. "Matthias was the black ranger, Emily was the pink ranger, jack was the blue ranger, austin was the green ranger, and ryuko was the titanium ranger. I was the red ranger and summer was the white ranger." he said while walking back and forth.
"Emily and I were married." he said getting a few gasps from the others. "wait, so if Emily's last name was Valkyrie, then she was Nora's mom, right?" I asked. "that is correct." he replied before looking at Nora. "my full name is Alastor Grimm-Rose Valkyrie." it took her a few moments to realize it. "w-what? But that's' impossible. I never had any parents." she said as she looked at Alastor.
"that is because your mother and I left you in the care of your grandparents because we were always working and were unable to raise you. So, Emily's parents raised you as their own at our request." he said as I gasped. "woah. So, Nora and I are kind of like cousins!" I exclaimed while looking at him. "in a way, yes." he replied.
The next few hours were filled with Alastor telling us the story of how he met his teammates and how they became rangers. It was now around 1730 (5:30 pm) when he finished telling us his story. "so, any questions?" he asked. "I have one." ren asked. "ok. What's your question?" Alastor replied. "if you are Nora's father, then what happened to her mother?" he asked.
"Nora's mother was killed. Along with the rest of the rangers. I barely survived, that is why when I arrived, I was badly injured, because the white ranger betrayed us and killed everyone but I managed to barely escape." he replied before Nora ran up to him and hugged him. "dad...I-I don't know what to say... I'm just glad you're alive." she said as she hugged him.
I walked over and sat next to my husband. "so, this is a lot to take in. How are you doing hon?" he asked me as I say down. "I-I'm ok. It's just a lot to take in. I mean, my mom is alive and evil now, Nora and I are cousins, I'm a ranger, yang's a ranger, and I have a new uncle." I replied before resting my head on his shoulder. "I know it's a lot to take in, but we will get through this. We always do." Oscar replied. "yea, I know." I said before closing my eyes and falling asleep next to him.
the next few days were filled with Nora hanging out with her dad and learning new techniques from him. I was teaching yang how to pilot and control her zord and the rest of my friends and team were all talking and trying to make sense of the information Alastor had given them. "so, what do you think?" Weiss asked Oscar. "well, I trust him. I can tell he isn't lying. But there is something I can sense he is keeping from us." he replied. "I just can't tell what it might be." he replied before taking a sip of his coffee. "well, maybe we should ask him when we go looking for the next zord." Juane said. little did they all know summer rose had made it to haven and was slowly making her way to the island of patch.
