POV: Alastor
It was the middle of the afternoon when summer burst through the door. "AL!" she exclaimed. "yea? What is it?" I replied looking up from the scroll I had in my hand. "I just got word that one of Salem's' newest creations were spotted leaving the grimm-lands. I'm going after it." she said. "absolutely not. We can't risk it. Not that close to the grimm-lands. You know the risks summer." I replied looking directly at her. I could see the anger in her swelling up as she looked at me. "I don't care what you say Alastor. You may be my brother and my commanding officer in the rangers but I'm doing this, with or without you." she replied before walking out the door grabbing her weapons and leaving. "gods damn it summer." I replied as I sat down the scroll and walked out heading after her only to find she was long gone.
Two weeks had passed and we were searching the area looking for summer. "I don't see her anywhere." Matthias said as he approached me. "damn it I told her not go out there but she didn't listen, sigh. We need to find her. We can't risk her falling into Salem's' hands." I said as I slammed my fist into the nearby cave wall. "we will find her. I know we will." Emily said as she put her hand on my shoulder. "I know how much she means to you and to her kids." she replied trying to comfort me. "sigh, I know. But at this point we might as well call it." I replied, just before I heard ryuko call my name. "AL! We found something!" she yelled as I ran out heading towards her. "what is it?" I asked. "it's summers' cloak. We found it under the rocks. It looks like a rockslide trapped it. But we never found a body." she replied. "sigh, let's call it. Summer rose is dead. Let's get back to the base and inform the others." I said with pain of loss in my voice before we all went back to base. I had sent word to Qrow about what happened and asked him to tell her family.
END FLASHBACK MEMORY.
I woke up in the middle of the night sweating hard and gasping for air. "why was I remembering that day?" I said loud enough to wake everyone that was in the house even though I tried not to. Oscar/ozpin had busted through the door. "what happened? Is everything alright?" Ozpin asked. "I'm fine. I just had a memory flash back to the day summer went missing. I remember it all to clearly." I replied before sitting up and swinging my legs over the side of the bed. "as do I. I remember what your informant told me. "summer rose has been declared KIA in the field." I didn't want to believe it until I saw the cloak." he replied looking at me. "I don't know all the facts of what happened to her, but I promise we will find her. And we will bring her back to her senses." he replied before standing up and heading out the room allowing Oscar to take control again and headed back to the room.
A few days had passed since that happened. It was now the weekend and everyone had gathered outside for a BBQ. Nora was scarfing down food trying to out eat me, yang and Blake were talking about how cool it would be to find another zord soon, Oscar and ruby were talking with qrow, tai was grilling more food, Weiss was checking out the command center. "you honestly think you can beat your old man in eating BBQ?" I asked Nora as I grabbed another plate of ribs. "ha! You should see me when I'm eating pancakes old man!" she said with a laugh before scarfing down more pulled pork. "never call me old!" I said to which Qrow yelled out "THANK YOU! AT LEAST SOMEONE ON REMNANT KNOWS WHAT ITS LIKE!" getting a few laughs out of everyone.
A few hours had passed and one of the atlas specialists that was monitoring the scans for a zord came running out. "sir! We found another zord!" he exclaimed as I stood up quickly. "where?" I asked. "just outside of atlas sir." he replied. "good, which one is it?" I asked to which he replied. "the pterodactyl zord sir." "you found Ol white? Huh. So that's where he ended up." I said getting a few of the other to look weirdly at me. "didn't I mention? The zords are all alive in a way." I said as some of them all just said "what?" "no time to explain. Load up. We need to get white as soon as possible." I replied as everyone went and geared up and headed to the bullhead. "alright. Weiss. I believe this one might be yours." I said as looked her. "what makes you think that?" she asked. "it's simple. The grid has chosen two members of team RWBY already. It's safe to say all four of you are rangers." I said as the bullhead lifted off taking us all to the resting place of the pterodactyl zord.
