This is it, guys! The final chapter!

Chapter 14: Salvation

The bright circle's light rays of light emerged from over the horizon as it rose into the sky, shining through the mouth of the cave the group of children were sleeping in.

Chomper slowly opened his eyes, squinting them as they adjusted to the light. He slowly sat up and let out a soft yawn as he stretched his limbs. He looked towards his friends sleeping peacefully next to him. He smiled, happy to see that they were all safe.

But then he noticed that Littlefoot was missing.

He looked out towards the cave's entrance, where he saw Littlefoot standing just outside on a cliff that overlooked the pond below, basking in the fresh morning light.

Being careful not to wake the other up, Chomper slowly got up and walked over to his big brother. He noticed Littlefoot was simply staring into the sky, gazing into the clouds as they drifted by, the look in his eyes had a certain gleam that indicated his mind was somewhere else.

He figured he was probably thinking about mother. Chomper didn't blame him, it was hard not to. In fact, he was still thinking of mother as well.

"Morning, Littlefoot." He spoke up, deciding to finally break the silence.

Littlefoot blinked for a moment, snapping back to reality before looking towards his little brother. "Morning, Chomper." He smiled. "Did you sleep well?"

"Pretty good." Chomper replied, smiling back. "How about you?"

Littlefoot sighed. "Yeah, me too."

Chomper shifted his feet a little bit, the wind blowing slightly in the air. "Littlefoot?"

The young long-neck turned to him. "Yes?"

The little biter fiddled with his little fingers. "Do you think... mother would be proud of us if she were still here?" He looked up at his big brother, eyes soft but pleading a bit. "After everything that's happened, would she be?"

Littlefoot's face fell a bit before he nuzzled his little brother, "I think... she would be." He said softly and simply. "I think she would be proud we managed to come all this way. That she would be proud of us for keeping this herd together."

Chomper smiled sadly as he nuzzled him back.

Just then, the two looked up to see the clouds in the sky changing form, morphing into new shapes. One of the clouds, the closest one to them in fact, slowly shaped into the semblance of a long-neck.

Littlefoot and Chomper's eyes glistened as they held each other close, the cloud easily reminding them of their kind, gentle, and wise mother.

And as the wind blew, they were surprised to hear a soft voice akin to their mother whisper to them.

"Littlefoot... Chomper..." The voice whispered with all the gentleness of the mother they held dear.

The two brothers jolted, their eyes widening upon hearing that voice. As they looked closely towards the cloud, it almost as if it was looking right at them with it's neck lowered and head turning to face them.

"M-Mother?" Chomper whispered in disbelief.

Littlefoot, his mouth wide open, tried to speak but fumbled with his words. "Mother," He said, his voice shaking, "we-we tried to do what you told us but... it's..."

"It's just too hard." Chomper sniffled as he and Littlefoot felt tears welling up in their eyes. "We'll never find the Great Valley."

But then slowly, the cloud quickly began drifting away from them.

"Wait, mother!" Littlefoot exclaimed. "Don't go, mother!"

"Come back!" Chomper cried as the two raced down the hill and passed the large pond. "We still need you, mother!"

The two brothers raced up the slope on the other end of pond, following the large cloud as it morphed into a thin wisp, trailing through a nearby cavern. Without any hesitation, Littlefoot and Chomper both raced through the cavern, following the cloud before they emerged on the other side, stopping on a small slope.

The cloud then rose into the sky, taking on the shape of their mother once again. Suddenly, a thin beam of light from the bright circle shone through the cloud, through the place where her heart would be. The light then began to spread across the land below, illuminating it with it's warm rays.

Littlefoot and Chomper gasped in wonder as they saw the landscape before them.

Below the light revealed a huge, beautiful valley with lush green meadows and plains, dozens upon hundreds of trees of all shapes and sizes, big waterfalls flowing with rich water down into crystal-clear lakes and ponds. A sweet, heavenly aura swept up in the blowing winds, as if to welcome them to this paradise.

There not a hint of doubt about what this place was.

"The Great Valley!" Littlefoot whispered in awe.

"We found it." Chomper murmured with an equally awed tone, a smile growing on his lips. "We actually found it."

"LITTLEFOOT! CHOMPER!" A loud voice from behind called out, one they recognized to be Cera.

"CERA, DUCKY, RUBY, PETRIE, SPIKE! OVER HERE!" Littlefoot exclaimed, jumping with joy.

"WE FOUND IT! WE FOUND IT!" Chomper also yelled.

It was mere moments before the others came rushing through the tunnel, joining the two brothers, seeing the paradise before them as joy filled their very beings.

"Littlefoot! Chomper! You found it!" Ducky squealed with delight. "Yep, yep, yep!"

"We did it! We actually made it!" Chomper cheered happily.

"We all did it!" Littlefoot shouted with happiness. "We all did it together!"

No longer able to contain their excitement, the little herd dashed down the side of the cliff as fast as they could, laughing with joy in their hearts before splitting off into the lush meadows to find their families once they reached the bottom.

At long last, the journey itself was finally over.

At long last, they had reached the Great Valley.

Ruby, Ducky, and Spike rushed through the trees and bushes before finally finding a large pond in the middle of a clearing. The three siblings immediately jumped in, laughing and splashing with joy.

"Ruby, Ducky, is that you?!"

The fast-runner and the swimmer snapped their heads over to the source of the voice. And they were overjoyed as they saw their mother and siblings at the other end of the pond.

Immediately they rushed over to them, with Ruby and Ducky jumping into the arms of their parents before embracing their sisters. Their family had made it too! And they were safe!

They then turned their attention to Spike who sat in front of the now reunited family, smiling.

"This is our new brother, Spike! Our new brother this is!" Ruby introduced with a smile while Ducky leapt onto his back laughing.

Ducky and Ruby's mother bent down and lovingly nuzzled her daughter as well as her two adopted children while the rest welcomed Spike to their family.

Petrie flew high over the trees, scanning the branches before finding his mother and siblings in a new nest, all of them safe and sound.

He glided down shouting happily, "Mama! Mama, I a flyer!"

Petrie's mother above her and smiled, catching him as he flew into her arms. They embraced each other with great joy and happiness while Petrie's brothers and sisters crowded around them while cheering that their sibling was safe and with them.

"Daddy!" Cera cried as ran through some tall grass, spotting her father atop a small hill eating some grass.

"Cera?!" Topps looked up from his grazing with surprise as he heard his daughter's voice.

Cera rushed right through a small patch of flowers as she ran up the hill and stopped just in front of her father. Topps looked at her with astonishment before he smiled. He bent his head down as they lovingly nuzzled each other.

While everyone was reuniting with their families, Littlefoot and Chomper sprinted through a wide plain to find theirs.

Thanks to Chomper's sniffer, they quickly found their grandmother and grandfather not too far away from them in the middle of the field.

"Grandma! Grandpa!" They shouted happily.

"Boys!" The two elderly long-necks exclaimed.

Grandma and Grandpa Longneck lowered their heads and tenderly nuzzled their grandchildren as they approached, all of them laughing with joy.

"Oh thank goodness your both safe." Grandma Longneck said, tears brimming in her eyes.

"But... how did you both make it all the way here?" Grandpa Longneck asked in amazement.

"Well, let's just say we made some friends." Chomper smiled.

"Yeah, some really great friends." Littlefoot added.

Grandma and Grandpa Longneck both smiled. "Well, I suppose the important matter is that your both safe and with us." Grandma Longneck smiled.

The four of them snuggled together in a loving nuzzle. "We love you boys." Grandma and Grandpa said.

"We love you too." Littlefoot and Chomper replied as they nuzzled themselves against the same loving faces they had looked into on the days of their birth.

Later on that day, the seven dinosaur children were out in the fields, happily running - or in Petrie's case, flying - across the plains of the Great Valley. With their arduous journey over, they felt they could finally relax and have some fun without a care in the world. No more running away from sharp-teeth, no more climbing and traversing burning mountains, no more starving, no longer being separated from their families.

Everything they needed was right here in the Great Valley itself.

Everyone was happy.

As Littlefoot, Chomper, Cera, Ducky, Ruby, Petrie, and Spike gathered together in a loving group hug, they knew that they were not just friends, not even just a herd anymore.

They were family. They always would be.

And they couldn't be any happier as they knew in their hearts that no love was greater.

And Chomper wouldn't have it any other way.

The End.

And so concludes this story! Thank you guys all so much for your support, it's been very helpful and I love you all! I honestly didn't expect this to be so popular so again, thank you all so much. I've been thinking of making a sequel but I'm not sure if I should as I want to make it different from the existing sequels. Let me know in the reviews if you want to see a sequel and what you want it to be about. Until then, peace!
