Hi Everyone: I just thought this would be a cool idea, what would happen if an alien landed in the Hunter x Hunter world. If anything I am writing this to hopefully inspire writers that are better than me (I don't write much) to include some sci-fi in their stories so I can read them instead. I may continue this since I had fun writing this chapter, but I am pretty busy and slow at writing but we will see. I only own my OC's and nothing else. Oh, I also mentioned some things that are from Stargate SG1. Its not enough to call it a crossover, but I will say its probably in the same universe. (If you have never seen that show and you like sci-fi, you should watch it. 10/10) Otherwise, I hope you enjoy!

"Ah crap" spoke Squadron Leader Ursa "Major" Bromley as her 509 jet's last shield generator was hit by an incoming laser. It was not the first time this has happened to the woman in the middle of battle, but today there was no perfectly situated water filled planet to escape to. Ursa felt a cool breeze sweep across her face as her flight suit regulated her body temperature. After a few moments of taking in air the young woman was able to refocus. Her purple eyes darted around the surrounding battle while her hands messed with settings on the control panel below. The war for the intergalactic space outside of her home galaxy has been raging on for months, the longest series of continuous battles Ursa has been in for all of her 177 years alive.

"Renard whats your status?" Ursa spoke through her communicator after spotting his Jet beginning to beak formation.

"Not good Major, I've been hit by their HUCD software. They have gotten a hold of the flight control. I am trying to do a manual override but its not easy. "

"Keep at it, once you gain control fall back." Ursa commanded, knowing full well that manually flying a 509 was not an easy task. Despite being one of the more technologically advanced species in the universe, there were still things that got missed in production which made her inwardly curse.

"Understood."

A flash of light appeared to the left of the squad, as an enemy mother ship appeared out of hyperspace on the fringe of the battle. Signaling to her squad Ursa led her team to attack the mother ship in a standard attack formation. Jets darted to the left and right of the mother ship as drone decoys were released in the center taking the brunt of the heat seeking missiles that were released.

"Avery, Drake is their hyperdrive down yet?" Ursa asked while spinning her jet in a circle.

"Not yet Major, 15 seconds to impact and then we go-" Avery was caught off by a large explosion from the middle of the battlefield.

"Sh-" Ursa started to speak as a large shrill burst through her earpiece into her ears. Engaging the thrusters Ursa and her team sped off hoping to gain some distance between themselves and the explosion. The blue hue edging closer as the time passed.

"A naquida bomb? Seriously? Those were banned by the Galactic War Federation and haven't been used in years." She heard Drake say a mixture of surprise and fear in his voice.

"STASIS NOW!" Ursa said as she engaged the stasis flight mode on her 509. A pod descended over her as gas was pumped into the chamber lulling the squadron leader into a deep sleep. An outward layer of metal shielding extended over the outside of the jet, and thrusters were set to overdrive. The jets rocketed outwards into the dense space as the blue wall consumed them.

Stasis mode deactivating. Emergency Landing successful.

Injury repair: 70% complete

Time in Stasis: 659 years 6 months 11 days spent traveling at the speed of light

Time of Deactivation: 3:03 AM Circinus Alpha 4 Standard Time

Returning to standard mode in 5...4...3...2...1. Standard mode engaged.

Welcome back Captain.

Ursa groaned as she awoke feeling every fiber in her body screaming. Reaching for the controls she brought up her vital stats and examined her condition. She had a major case of naquida radiation poisoning and some severe burns. Clicking the "provide medication" button Ursa grabbed the drugs that was ejected below her seat. Shoving them in her mouth she glanced at what was left of her 509. Melted metal was encased around her and she could tell that her partner would not be flying anytime soon.

Logging onto the comms Ursa tried to see if the rest of her squad was around, only to hear no response. After about 2 hours or so Ursa disconnected from comms vowing that once she was able to leave this planet the first thing she would do would be to look for her squad. Afterwards she ran an atmosphere diagnostic scan and threat scan and found that the results were well within the habitable zone for her kind with minimal dangers around. With that confirmation and the medication setting in Ursa deemed it was the right time to explore. Opening one of the wall storage lockers she grabbed an emergency laser cutter that was standard issued. It took a few minutes for Ursa to completely cut open an exit point for herself but once it was completed she popped her dark blue hair into the sunlight.

The light blinded the young soldier as her eyes struggled to adjust after years in stasis. Getting out of the 509 Ursa examined her surroundings. The first thing she noticed was the gravity, it was much lighter than what she grew up with on her home planet. She took a couple of test jumps and confirmed that it was very easy for her to maneuver her body. Once easy jump could easily send her quiet a few feet into the sky. Looking around she saw trees, trees, some rocks, and more trees. Ursa easily concluded that she was in some sort of forest. It was similar to the one she was in on planet X1_456 in the Circinus galaxy. A grin slowly formed on her lips while she remembered that mission. She saved the most annoying man on the planet and got to hold it over him for the rest of the time they were in a squad together.

"fnggskdfiuhgs" Ursa heard from behind forcibly pulling her thoughts back to reality. Turning around she saw what appeared to be an old man in some white and blue native clothing looking at her with an amused yet guarded expression. Ursa frowned slightly, when she ran her scan she did not pick up any forms of advanced life within a 1 mile radius so she was confused about how the man was standing before her. She wondered if this planet was more advanced than her own and had some cloaking technology.

"jdgohwkhdf gnihw djgoierhnw gioefnep gioswrjg" The man continued to say, yet Ursa couldn't understand him.

Holding up her pointer finger hoping that he understood it be a wait sign and not one of flipping him off, she fiddled with a dial on the arm of her flight suit. It took a minute or two to find a common base language that could translate the majority of what he was saying.

"Do you understand me now?" He asked taking a hand and stroking his beard slightly.

"Yes, I believe I do." She replied, moving closer but still remaining at a safe distance. She felt the weight of the standard issue plasma gun resting at her hip, ready to be drawn if she saw any hostile behavior.

"As I was saying before, this is the first time I saw a vessel crash out of the sky. I always believed the conspiracy theories that we were not alone out there, but I never expected to see real evidence right before my eyes."

Ursa just gave a small smile in response. Judging from the mans response she could guess what stage in advancement these people were in.

"My name is Netero, what is yours young lady?" He asked, calmly awaiting her response. Hah, young lady she grimaced. Normally people who have not made it out into the frontier called space barely lived to be 120 years old, considering that the advancement of medical technology and space travel technology were related in some aspect. The life span of her own species averaging between 782 and 867 years would be unheard of in places like this. At the very least she didn't look too different from him. Her skin color was slightly darker than his and her hair and eyes could potentially be strange, but her genetic makeup seemed very similar to his that they both passed as humanoid.

"Ursa, Ursa Bromley. With all due respect I am fairly certain I am older than you. Regardless, I mean you no harm. My ship crashed and once I get it running again I plan on leaving." She responded, motioning to her pitiful partner snug in a crater. The fact that her burns were still evident made her story more plausible as well.

Interacting with the locals is not part of the protocol when landing on a planet with a more primitive society, but unfortunately Ursa did not have much of a choice. She only hoped that she would be able to resolve this situation quietly.

"Hmm that is good to know. I probably should notify others of this situation, but that wouldn't be as fun. So I don't mind keeping it a secret bearing that you do something for me." He said his smile becoming wider.

"If its within boundaries I find acceptable, that would not be a problem." Ursa responded, 95% certain she could take him on if he proved to be troublesome.

"Very good, for now you can follow me." With a flick of his beard he turned around and slowly started to walk away.

Ursa hesitated. Its not that she was unwilling to follow him, it was more that she was unwilling to leave her ship. After a few moments she saw that he still continued to walk onward. Making her decision she walked back to her fallen friend and activated its cloaking ability, so at least it would not be seen. Ursa also set the self destruct time to 48 hours in case his good intentions were not so kind. While it was pretty much useless now in an effort to go home, she didn't want her people's technology falling into their hands. Not only would she have an issue with it morally, she would be breaking a fair amount of the galactic laws and she did not want to spend the rest of her long life in prison if she managed to leave.

Ursa ran to catch up with Netero, only to be surprised by her speed. After her experimentation earlier she knew the gravity was light, but she was still surprised nonetheless. It took her quiet a bit of effort to stop next to him and not slam into a tree. Looking at her he raised an eyebrow. A little embarrassed she responded.

"Gravity... wait, do you know what that means?" She asked, she didn't want to completely assume their level of intelligence.

"Yes, I know what gravity is, and I also know that 2+2 = 4. Anyways, now that I know your speed, this can get more exciting." With those words he took off leaving only a cloud of dust behind him.

Exasperated at the younger man Ursa sprinted after him. It didn't take long for them to reach their destination. In front of Ursa was a large cliff with a tower sitting upon it. Puzzled at the odd placement of the tower Ursa continued to follow Netero up the cliff and walked into the building. Turning into the room at the end of the hall Ursa and Netero walked into what looked to be an office. There were a series of computers and computer screens adorned to one wall that Ursa has only seen in museums of ancient innovation. Netero took a seat in a green chair that looked like it had seen better days, and drank the tea that was sitting on the desk, moving the nameplate to the side. Ursa spotted another chair in the corner of the room. She pulled that over so it was in front of Netero and sat down facing him.

"So, what did you want me to do?" Ursa asked bluntly. She knew it would be quite a while before she could get the parts she needed to fix her ship, but she didn't want to waste needless time when her subordinates were potentially in danger.

Netero opened up the desk drawer and pulled out a flyer placing it in front of the soldier. Ursa glanced with it, unable to read the contents.

"My translator only translates the spoken words, not the written ones, so that means nothing to me." She explained. While her people did some body modification, they did not get to the point where they had technology embedded in their brains. It was quite a fit of contention back home concerning the topic, and Ursa had a feeling it would continue on for a while. As a result she just had to make due with her ear piece.

"My apologies, I want you to partake in an exam, the Hunter Exam. Its something my association runs. I want to see how the people of this planet would stack up against those from others." He explained going back to stroking his beard and occasionally taking a sip of tea."

"An exam? I'm assuming its nothing written since we just went over that whole issue. That seems like it would take up a lot of time and I need to start repairing my ship." Ursa responded.

"Ah, but passing the exam would be beneficial to you, it would give you an identity to travel through various countries and use public services to find what you need to repair your ship. Fear not about anything written, I will make sure that there is nothing of that sort this time." He explained.

"What if I don't pass? What if there is something I refuse to do because of cultural differences or can't do because of genetic differences? What would I get out of that? You would also willing let me wonder your planet?" Ursa countered. If she was going to make a deal, she wanted to make sure she got something out of it.

"In that case I would assist you, but it would be at a slower rate than what you would do on your own. I would also require you to do something else for me. Either way there is no loss in you trying the exam. You already said you came in peace so to speak, I have no reason to doubt your words. Plus, I am not sure if the people on this planet could stop you anyways." He stated motioning to her gun.

Ursa pondered his words for a moment. His words has merit and if passing the exam gave her an identity to travel the world undercover, it was too tempting to risk passing up.

"Fine, I will do it. You have a deal Netero." She held out a hand.

"Perfect, I just knew you would see reason." He responded grasping it.

With those words the two shook on it and exited the office.

As the two were walking back down the hallway to leave the tower they passed a man heading to the office. He only caught a snippet of their conversation but he was able to hear the words "steak" and "low heat". Not bothering to say hello to the chairman the man walked into the room. He looked around and frowned, his beautiful nameplate with the words "Prison Warden: Lippo" scripted onto it was pushed aside and his tea was gone. Sighing he glanced back to see if he could see if the chairman was still around. He knew the chairman was at the tower to go over the phase planning one last time, but he wished he never came since he always did as he pleased. He had no idea who that young girl was, she had to be 16-17 at the most, or why she was even with the chairman in his office of all places. Deciding it was not worth the effort, Lippo sat down at his desk and reviewed the plans of the third phase one last time.

Well that was it! I hope you enjoyed it. There may be some spelling or grammatical errors. I did my best to get them all but I could have missed some. If anyone was wondering what HUCD I thought it out to be Hack Until Certain Death. I know its kinda lame but it makes me giggle every time looking at it so I had to keep it. Even though I love the sci-fi genre I am not too good with the terminology so if you are a space buff and it doesn't make sense I apologize.

Anyways I hope everyone has a lovely day and night!

(I'm serious about stargate sg1 though, great show)
