I don't own Uta No Prince Sama, or any references I will use in this story. I only own Emi Ootori. I don't know that much about cancer. Sorry if it offends anyone. If you would like me to take it off the story I will.

Chapter 2 - Remake

~ AT RAGING ENTERTAINMENT ~

~ Raging Ootori's P.O.V. ~

"WHAT!?" I yelled before slamming my hands on top of my desk as I stood up. I was furious.

"What do you mean, your sister's gone?!" I asked my two sons.

"I went to her room to tell her dinner was ready, and I saw her door open. When I checked, she wasn't there. All her things are missing, and the only thing I found is this letter saying she's leaving," My youngest son, Eiji, said. Tears were in his eyes.

"Leave me!" I yelled and my two sons left my office.

I turned to face my window that faced the view of the city. Gritting my teeth, white-knuckled, I said to myself, "You worthless girl! This isn't over."

~ TIME SKIP 2 YEARS ~

~ Emi's P.O.V. ~

It's been two years since I left home. My time in America has been life-changing in so many ways. I made a friend named, Rebecca Honey. She's such a sweetheart. I met her the first day in America. After six months of knowing each other, we decided to be roommates. Now, she lives with me in my flat. We split the rent. I managed to get a job as a music teacher for little kids as well as a part-time job in a popular restaurant singing. It was going great until one day I felt awful. It got so bad that I had Rebecca take me to the hospital. It was there that I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

I remember breaking down in Rebecca's arms. I'm so glad I had her and the support of those I know from America with me through that time. It was a dark point in my life, but I pushed through and survived. I had chemotherapy and got my breasts removed. My brown hair from reaching my lower back now rests at my shoulders. The only ones who know that I had fought cancer were those I know from America, Rebecca, and my twin brother Eiji. I had to beg Eiji not to tell Eiichi or dad about it. It took some time but he agreed in the end. He may have not been able to physically be there with me, but Eiji made sure to have video calls with me once he had free time.

Now, here I am, back in Japan, standing in front of Shining Saotome. Waiting for his answer to my question.

"So? Can I be an idol for Shining Agency?" I asked.

"You can, BUT FIRST you must show me your music," he told me before having Tsukimiya Ringo and Hyuga Ryuya follow the two of us to the recording studio room.

I gave Ryuya-San my flash drive that held my music before entering the room with my music sheets. I placed the headphones on and turned to the three adults.

"I am going to use Track 5. It's about a very dark time in my life, and how I fought and won," I said and Ryuya-San nodded before playing the track.

~ SONG STARTS ~

(Rise - Katy Perry)

I won't just survive

Oh, you will see me thrive

Can't write my story

I'm beyond the archetype

I won't just conform

No matter how you shake my core

'Cause my roots, they run deep, oh

Oh, ye of so little faith

Don't doubt it, don't doubt it

Victory is in my veins

I know it, I know it

And I will not negotiate

I'll fight it, I'll fight it

I will transform

When, when the fire's at my feet again

And the vultures all start circling

They're whispering, you're out of time

But still, I rise

This is no mistake, no accident

When you think the final nail is in, think again

Don't be surprised, I will still rise

I must stay conscious

Through the madness and chaos

So I call on my angels

They say

Oh, ye of so little faith

Don't doubt it, don't doubt it

Victory is in your veins

You know it, you know it

And you will not negotiate

Just fight it, just fight it

And be transformed

'Cause when, when the fire's at my feet again

And the vultures all start circling

They're whispering, you're out of time

But still, I rise

This is no mistake, no accident

When you think the final nail is in, think again

Don't be surprised, I will still rise

Don't doubt it, don't doubt

Oh, oh, oh, oh

You know it, you know it

Still rise

Just fight it, just fight it

Don't be surprised, I will still rise

~ SONG ENDS ~

When the song was finished, I looked at the three people starring at me. Ringo-San and Ryuya-San were clapping. Ringo-San pushed a button and asked me what the song was specifically. I was quiet for a moment before answering him.

"A year and a half ago I had battle breast cancer. This song was to represent how I didn't give up. I had many people who supported me during that time, and my strongest thought that helped push me through was to becoming an idol," I answered before we looked to Shining who was quiet.

Then all of a sudden he exclaimed, "BRRRRRAAAVVOOOOO!" He began to dance as he spoke to me. "Miss Ootori, welcome to my agency. Congratulations. You're an idol now," he said to me.

It took a moment to process what he said, but when it did I had the biggest smile on my face.

"Thank you so much. I'll work hard," I said bowing.

"We'll work on the details of your debut. In fact, I believe it should be during the Utapri Awards," Shining said, "So much to do. See you soon."

With that, he disappeared.

Ringo-San and Ryuya-San had me sing a few more of my songs to figure out what song I wanted to sing for the debut. I found one and the three of us began to talk about what to expect during my time in the Master Course. It appeared that STARISH was joining the Master Course as well. They will arrive in a few days. Ringo-San showed me to my room that somehow had all my belongings already inside. He left me to unpack everything. When I was done, I video called Rebecca to tell her the news.

"Oh my God! I knew you would be an idol!" Rebecca said happily, "When do you debut?"

"I debut during the Utapri Awards," I told her.

Her eyes widened.

"So soon. Good for you," she told me.

I saw the time and told her I had to go. We hung up and I went to the kitchen to make something small to eat for dinner before taking a shower and going to bed.

When I got there, I pulled out ingredients to make a fruit parfait, a man with with with ice blue eyes and long blonde hair walked into the kitchen. We starred at each other for a moment before I broke the silence.

"Uh, hello. I'm Ootori, Emi. It's nice to meet you. Would you like a fruit parfait?" I said awkwardly.

The man was silent as he gazed down at the fruit before looking back at me.

"Thank you," the man said as he sat down and watched me make our parfaits, "I'm Camus."

"It's nice to meet you," I said as I passed him his parfait.

We ate in silence before Camus had to leave. I told him that I would clean up, and he thanked me before leaving. I finished my snack before cleaning our mess.

I walked to my room and began to undress to take a shower, but stopped to stare at my chest where the scars of my surgery were exposed. I took a deep breath before entering my personal bathroom. I took a shower and changed into my pajamas, which were short shorts and a loose crop tank top, and fell asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow. Tomorrow was going to be the start of preparing for my debut.

~ THE NEXT DAY ~

I had woken up early to start my day with getting exercise by dancing ballet in one of the practice rooms. I was wearing white ballet tights under a black long-sleeved leotard, my tan ballet shoes, and had my hair up in a bun. I did a quick warm-up and stretched before dancing a few songs. I was so into dancing I didn't notice the audience I had watching me. When I finished, I turned to get my water and finally noticed my audience. I jumped a bit in surprise.

"Oh, hello," I said to the four men before my eyes landed on Camus, "Nice to see you again, Camus."

"Emi-San," Camus said with a small bow of his head in greeting.

"What?! Myu-chan, you know who this is?" A man with a hat on his head asked.

"Ootori, Emi, the youngest child to Raging Ootori," A young man said with a blank stare said, "She's a new idol for Shinning Agency."

"Wow. Well, it's nice to meet you, Mi-Mi!" The man with that hat said.

"Mi-Mi?" I questioned. That was a new nickname.

"I'm Kotobuki, Reiji. With me is Kurosaki, Ranmaru, Mikaze Ai, and you already know Camus. We're Quartet Night," Reiji said with a big smile, "Welcome to the agency."

"Thank you," I said.

"We were going to the kitchen to get some breakfast. Would you like to come with us?" Reiji asked.

"Sure," I said.

I grabbed my bag and followed them to the kitchen.

As we were eating Reiji was asking me questions. What made me want to join Shinning's agency? Why not in my father's agency? Where have I been? What did I do in America? What made me decide to come back to Japan? What type of cancer? Are you alright? The questions kept coming but I answered them kindly. They were all surprised to know I had cancer but were happy I survived.

"I'm sorry that happened to you," Reiji said.

"It's alright. Yes, it's still hard to look at myself in the mirror. However, I have made my peace with it, and moved on," I said with a small smile.

We talked a little more before the group had to leave for their job. I bid them farewell and went to my room to take a shower. I changed into a white tank top tucked into a sky blue high-waisted jean shorts, and white ankle socks, and white laceless vans. When I was done, I sat on my bed and opened my laptop to look at some ideas for my debut outfit. Time went by pretty fast, so, by lunchtime, I went to the kitchen with my laptop to continue searching as I ate.

It was during that time Ringo-san walked in with a notepad.

"Oh, Emi-chan. I was looking for you," he said gaining my attention.

"Good afternoon, Ringo-san. How can I help you?" I asked.

"I wanted to make your outfit for your debut. Do you have any ideas on what you want?" Ringo-san said.

"Well, I was thinking of a dress. Flowy, not poofy," I said, "That's all I got so far."

"I see. I can draw up some designs and show you and we can go from there. How does that sound?" Ringo-san asked.

"Sounds good. Thank you," I said.

Ringo-san hugged me.

"It's no problem. Well, I have to go. I'll show you what I come up with," Ringo-san said as he left the kitchen, "Bye-bye!"

"Bye," I replied.

I finished my lunch before heading back to my room to compose more music.

~ A FEW DAYS LATER ~

I was in the practice room, dancing ballet when I saw Quartet Night walk by the room. Reiji peeked his head in the room and told me they were going to meet their Kouhais in a few minutes and he wanted me to come to watch them perform. I smiled as I quickly grabbed my things and followed them to the common room, where the meeting will take place. We separated with Quartet Night hiding/waiting for the appearance. I on the other hand walked up to a piano and began playing random keys. As I did that, I heard footsteps coming from one of the halls. I didn't want to be known yet by STARISH so I grabbed my stuff and hid in another hall.

STARISH came inside the room and was looking around.

"I could've sworn that I heard someone playing the piano," A blue-haired boy with a beauty mark said.

Soon, the conversation changed from the excitement of staying in the Master Course to staying under the same roof as their composer, Nanami, Haruka. The composer in question soon made her appearance and gave her group seven new songs for them. I admit she is very talented in doing that in one day. Then, Shinning's laughter was heard as he suddenly appeared hanging on streamers. He jumped off the streamers and landed safely. Dancing he described how happy STARISH's debut went, but told them that they still have much to learn. I watched as a screen came down and Quartet Night's song, Poison Kiss, began.

"Show yourselves, Pioneer Princes!" Shinning yelled.

(Listen to Poison Kiss - Quartet Night)

After the song was over, the screen disappeared and the real Reiji, Ranmaru, and Ai were shown. Camus must have left before the end of the song.

"Huh!? They turned into real people!" The red-headed boy asked.

"Now, I must prepare for the opening ceremony! Work hard! Thank you!" Shinning said flying out the window.

"Thank you?" The shortest boy of the group said. I think we were about the same height.

"Hi! Thanks for waiting everyone!" Ringo-san's voice was heard.

We all turned to see Ringo-san and Ryuya-san come down on a platform. Both were sparkly.

"Ring-chan, you're glowing!" The redhead said.

Once the two idols got off the platform they moved towards the group.

"You're no longer students. Now, you are professionals trying to make it into the world of performing arts," Ryuya-san started.

"You've got to learn on your own and improve yourselves," Ringo-san added.

"But I'm sure there are plenty of things you don't know or are worried about," Ryuya-san said.

"That's why we've assigned them to help you," Ringo-san said, "Oto-chan and Tokiya-chan are assigned to Kotobuki Reiji-Kun."

"Nice to meet you," Reiji said kindly.

"Jinguji and Hijirikawa are assigned to Kurosaki Ranmaru," Ryuya-san said.

Ranmaru just glanced at them.

"Syo-chan and Na-chan are assigned to Mikaze Ai-chan," Ringo-san said.

Ai just stared at them.

"Haru-chan, if you have any problems you talk to me," Ringo-san said before his smile grew big, "Or you can ask the other composer that's hiding. Come on out, Emi-chan!"

Knowing it was time to make myself known, I walked towards the group. Reiji ran up to me and gave me a hug.

"Mi-Mi, did you see our performance!?" Reiji yelled.

"Yes. You guys did a really good job," I said.

Reiji kept an arm around my shoulders as we walked to the group.

"Everyone, this is Ootori Emi-chan. She's a new idol for Shinning Saotome. She'll be debuting soon," Ringo-san said.

I gave STARISH a wave.

"Nice to meet you," I said.

Ryuya-san and Ringo-san left the room and the group separated again. I went to my room and took a shower, before changing into black leggings, and a white loose t-shirt. I grabbed a book at sat down on my bed reading. That continued until it was time for bed. Tomorrow, Ringo-san was going to go over the outfits he designed for me.

I am so excited.
