Naruto and Sasuke talked to each other the whole time and only stopped when Iruka coughed in his hand and made it clear he wanted to start his lesson. He seemed confused that Naruto and Sasuke seemed so close. And he wasn't the only one. More of the children in the class were surprised to see someone of the Uchiha clan associating with Naruto. The parents of the civilians had warned them after all to not get close to him. Even the clan kids had not spoken to him. Even Iruka had his doubts about the boy. But seeing someone else talking to him without consequences...What had Iruka expected then? That if someone talked to Naruto the Ninetails would suddenly be released? Maybe Naruto is not so bad after all. The Uchiha clan head would never let his own child close to something dangerous right?

Naruto told Sasuke that he didn't know where Sakura lived to try to find out if she remembered the future too. He tried to get in the Uchiha district but he was discovered by the guards and was brought to the Hokage since the Hokage is his guardian for now. The old man asked him why he wanted to visit the Uchiha district. Naruto lied and said he was wondering why they lived so far away from the others in the village. The hokage said that because the ninetails destroyed a lot of the village houses needed to be rebuild.

''But why did they have to move? You could have rebuild their houses on the ground the old ones were.''

The Hokage decided to change the topic and asked him if he was excited to enter the academy. Naruto let it go. For now.

He waited for Sakura by ramen ichiraku but she never went there. He also tried to find anbu people to see if Kakashi was one of them because Naruto remembered that at this time Kakashi was in anbu. But he had no success. He did tell Sasuke Kakashi wears a dog-mask. Sasuke gave a small laugh at that and Naruto's eyes were shining.

I really missed that idiot. In the end and I am happy I can spend more time with him.

Iruka got angry at them for talking while he was explaining something. As punishment he asked them some questions about the material he was just explaining. But Sasuke had seen it before so he was able to answer them easily. He signed the answers to Naruto so Naruto was also able to answer the questions. Naruto is better in the field. With a silent look at each other they decided to continue their conversation during lunch break.

Since Naruto forgot his lunch and doesn't have much money to buy something if people wanted to sell something to him in the first place Sasuke decided to share his lunch with him.

Naruto told Sasuke how it hurt that the villagers treated him like dirt again. He finally had their acknowledgement and they acted nice to them. He finally had proved himself and now he has to do that all over again and it hurt. Their cold and angry stares, whispers, it all hurt.

Sasuke got an uncomfortable feeling in his stomach seeing his friend like that. Because they were friends now right?

''You can spend time with me, we could train together.'' He proposes.

''Wouldn't the villagers dislike you for spending time with me?'' Naruto replies.

Sasuke shrugs. ''They are already suspicious and distrustful of the Uchiha so I don't think it wil make much of a difference. Besides I know how it feels to be lonely.''

Sasuke then proceeded to tell Naruto how it felt when he realised he was in the past, that he cried in his mother's embrace and accidently showed her his Sharigan, how his father started his training and how he doesn't know how to act with Itachi and that he evades him for now.

''We will figure something out.'' Naruto says.

''You mean Sakura will figure something out.'' Sasuke jokes.

''Are you two talking about me?'' They hear a voice say from behind them.

Thank you for all the reviews. I enjoy reading them.

I didn't want to write it all in dialogue, sorry. A longer chapter than usual but I didn't find a place to cut it. Actually in this chapter they were supposed to make a plan but I wanted some bonding time between Sasuke and Naruto. They are best friends again because plot demands it. Sorry if it seems forced.
