Akari was exhausted by the end of the night, Kaname had asked her to join him in the dormitory office. Really, it was another bedroom that he insisted was turned into his own private office. He was sat in the large green leather office chair behind an old mahogany desk that had clearly seen plenty of use. She assumed he had brought it with him from his old home with his parents. He was the picture of authority in that moment. She sighed as she sat down in front of him, pulling off her heels.

"Why did you want to see me?" Akari almost huffed as she attempted to free her hair, pulling out various hairpins.

"Wanted to know who you have picked as your bodyguard." He stated, leaning his elbows on the desk. Akari rolled her eyes, he could have waited till the next day. All she wanted to do was to go to bed.

"Shiki Senri will be my chosen bodyguard." She told him and went to stand up to leave. Kaname however, signaled for her to stay sat down.

"Did you ask the others about their abilities?" He then asked sounded skeptical and she nodded, biting her tongue instead. "What are they then?" Akari stared at him, disbelief replacing her annoyed glare. He didn't trust her enough to do as he asked?

"Fine." She hissed at him, angrily. "Takuma, matter disintegration and highly skilled with a katana. Akatsuki, can conjure fire and control it. He has had some experience with destroying Level-E's. Hanabusa, can conjure ice and control it, he too has had experience with destroying Level-E's. Ruka, her main ability is to create illusions but she can also trick lower rank vampires into attacking one another. Rima, her main ability is to wield lightning and can erase memories." Akari stood up. "Anything else? Would you like an essay too?!" She hissed at him. Kaname sighed and shook his head.

"I just wanted to make sure you were picking someone who's abilities worked best to protect you." He explained, standing up and walking around his desk to reach her.

"Kaname I don't want anyone with flashy abilities. I mean Takuma's ability is basically explosions. Fire, ice and lightning are hard to be quiet about in a fight, especially near humans. Ruka pretty much hates me for being close to you so I doubt she'd put much effort in helping me. Senri's ability is simple, quiet and effective. It's as simple as that." She explained and Kaname pulled her into a hug from her chair, tucking her head under his chin. "It feels like you don't trust me." She mumbled as she leaned against his chest.

"I'm sorry for making you feel like that. I just want what's best for you. And now I understand why you've chosen Senri, it makes sense." He said before kissing the top of her head. "Go to bed, I'm sorry I couldn't wait to ask." He added and let her go. She nodded and quickly left. She just wanted to crawl into her warm bed.

She opened her bedroom door and closed it, only to be grabbed and pulled into someone's chest, her mouth covered by a hand. She glared at a smirking Senri.

"Rido!" She hissed at him angrily once he moved his hand away. "Are you trying to get us in trouble?!" He just continued to smirk, turning her around to unzip her dress.

"He'll only kill Senri's body, he won't kill me." Rido answered, drinking her image.

"That's not the point, I'd lose my new bodyguard." She told him, looking over her shoulder at him.

"So, you convinced him, well done." He kissed her shoulder, his hands gently pushing her dress down. Akari smirked and stopped him pushing the dress down over her bottom.

"Out. You haven't won me yet." She ordered, holding the front of her dress up to her chest, stopping him from seeing anything else. He pouted at her but didn't argue. If it was anyone else, he would have pushed for more.

"You tease." He huffed before leaving.

"You took your time." Takuma spoke up without looking from his manga as Senri entered their shared room.

"Lady Akari stopped me. I'm her new bodyguard." Senri explained with a shrug, picking up a packet of pocky that rested on his chest of draws.

Rido had always kept an eye on his son, Senri. He knew everything about him, who his friends were, how he used their shared ability. All Rido had to do was stay in character when it was needed.

"You should tread carefully around her." Takuma told him, putting his manga away, on top of the nightstand. Senri looked at him puzzled, Rido was curious as to what Takuma had to say about her.

"How come?" Senri asked as he picked up his pajamas.

"Lord Kaname has an eye on her. She's also known for having short romances with aristocrats. You don't want to end up in the middle of them." Takuma pointed out getting under the covers. Senri shook his head.

"I'm not stupid Takuma." Senri huffed and got ready for bed.

The next evening everyone was dressed in the white uniform. Kaname exited first, Akari a step behind him. Senri and Seiren followed the pair closely. The others followed in their own order of choice. Akari spotted Zero with a girl, both wearing the black version of their white uniform.

Before anyone could react, day class students started to swarm the night class. Senri quickly pulled Akari away from a group of boys that were rushing towards her. Seiren had started making a path through the many screaming girls for Kaname. Akari was shocked by the reaction of the day class. The likes of Hanabusa however seemed to be enjoying it a little too much. Zero and the girl who was with them, tried their best to help them escape the day class.

Once they got into their class, Akari made an attempt to straighten herself out before looking at Kaname.

"We need to come up with a way to get to class without being ambushed." She huffed and allowed Senri to redo her long plait. Rido always enjoyed running his fingers through her soft straight hair. Sometimes he would do simple plaits for her instead of watching her twist her body to do it. He had no reason to do it, she had become an expert, she made a French plait look easy. Kaname nodded and looked over at Zero who was standing in the doorway, eyeing them all up. Akari noticed that Zero didn't respect the uniform rules when school was in session, as his uniform was already disheveled before he had helped with day class.

"Zero could you please bring the headmaster here?" Kaname ordered, Zero growled and shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Yuki, come on." Zero huffed. Akari took note of the girls' name and appearance. It may be a coincidence, she had similar features to the very young child that Akari had met years ago. Yuki had been kept pretty much a secret since she was born. Only a handful of purebloods had met Yuki when she was about three or four years old. All Akari knew was that she would have chestnut brown hair and brown eyes with a hue of red like most of the Kuran's. Kaname had noticed Akari's interest in Yuki, he would probably have to tell her who Yuki really is soon if she hadn't already worked it out.

Kaien arrived quickly, he had already heard about the commotion and was well on his way when Zero and Yuki got to him.

"I wasn't expecting that type of reaction." Kaien said with worry. "I'm terribly sorry Lord Kaname, Lady Akari." Zero huffed and rolled his eyes. Akari shook her head.

"No need, you didn't know this would happen. Now we just need to stop it from happening again." Akari stated calmly with a sweet smile. Kaname nodded with agreement.

"How about you all leave, that'll stop it." Zero all but sneered. Everyone glared at Zero apart from Akari and Kaname.

"Zero they're here to create peace between humans and vampires." Kaien tried to calm the situation.

"It's OK headmaster." Akari attempted to defuse the anger radiating off the aristocrats. "It's expected that some may not believe our good intentions. We can only work to prove ourselves and earn each other's trust." She added and Kaname gave her a small smile. It appeared she had chosen to back him completely now.

"Indeed, but right now, we need to sort out our problem with the day class." Kaname spoke up.

As the class and Kaien worked out a way to allow them to get to class without being ambushed, Akari studied Yuki closely. She watched as the girl squirmed under her gaze. She looked human, smelt human. It would be unlikely that she was Yuki Kuran, but something just made Akari think otherwise. She could also feel Zero staring at her, she wasn't sure if it was because she was studying Yuki or if it was because she was a pureblood. She felt Senri tug on her jacket, she looked back at him. Senri didn't like how Zero was looking at her, he wanted to take her away from his gaze. He motioned for her to move behind him. She looked at him confused but did as he asked. Kaname had also noticed the look Zero was giving her and was thankful that Senri had noticed too. It appeared that Akari had made a good choice in picking Senri.

Within an hour they had all agreed upon an action plan. In the morning, Kaien was going to hold an assembly with the day class, calling out there behaviour and introducing new rules, such as: no one is allowed out of the day dormitory grounds after the night class are in their lessons; no students should approach the night class in a manner like they had today and no student should touch other students in an inappropriate manner. Both Ruka and Rima had been groped by a few lucky day class boys. Seiren had managed to avoid being touched, and Senri had made sure every boy that came near Akari would be too scared to do so again. Kaien was also going to put up a perimeter so that the night class could walk to their lessons without being swarmed again. He did warn that the day class students would most likely continue to watch them go to class. Zero and Yuki would now be doing patrols around the school to ensure the day class stayed away and that none of the vampires decided that they could no longer keep their fangs to themselves.
