Everyone had retreated to bed when Akari emerged from her room in a red silk dressing grown tied tightly around her waist. Her hair had been brushed straight and draped over her shoulders. She wasn't looking to sleep with him but to simply entice him more, distract him and get him to open up to her. She needed to help Rido succeed and rid themselves of Kaname. She quietly crept to Kaname's room and gently knocked on the door, opening it slowly. She gently called out his name. The scene in front of her was something she hadn't anticipated.
Kaname was sat on his bed, his shirt had been unbuttoned down to his chest. His trousers were down at his ankles, while his jacket had been placed neatly next to him. Between his legs, was Ruka. He heard the knock but chose to ignore it, it wasn't until he heard a soft voice call his name, he looked over at the door. He saw Akari standing in the door way in her red dressing grown, her eyes wide and tearing up. Her hands were over her mouth. Kaname quickly pushed Ruka off himself and tried to right himself, shouting for Akari to wait.
Akari didn't run to her room, instead she ran to Senri and Takuma's room. She threw the door open and jumped into Senri's bed. Senri jumped in surprise, watching the figures' shoulders shake with sobs. Senri quickly realised it was Akari and pulled her into her arms. She was crying so much that she had awoken Takuma, he looked over concerned and got out of bed. The pair asked her what was wrong, but they couldn't understand her. The only thing they could understand was that it had something to do with Kaname.
Takuma sighed to himself and left the bedroom to get Kaname. He yawned and stretched as he walked down the stairs. He spotted Kaname at Akari's door, knocking it softly with his head against the door. He looked like a mess, his shirt was untucked and barely buttoned. He was calling her name softly and quietly, trying to encourage her to come to the door. He appeared disheveled and disheartened. Takuma watched Ruka walk past Kaname, expecting some sort of acknowledgement but was instead, she was ignored. He watched rage flash over Ruka's face before she carried on up the stairs, ignoring Takuma completely.
"Kaname." Takuma called him once he knew Ruka was gone. Kaname glared at him as he turned around. "She's in mine and Senri's room. Senri is trying to calm her down." He went onto explain, Kaname nodded and followed Takuma to his shared room. Kaname waited outside as Takuma went into the room. He paced back and forth, he hated waiting.
While Takuma was gone, Akari quickly stopped crying and told Senri what she had seen.
"I wonder how he's going to talk his way out of this?" He mused out loud and Akari nodded, a small smile playing on her lips.
"I know, if this got out, it would ruin his reputation." She added to his statement. "What do you think I should do to make him crawl his way out of this?" She then asked. Senri thought for a moment, this could speed up the gain of information he needed to destroy Kaname.
"Anything you want for now. Try to get him on his knees begging, I would love to see that." He finally answered, she smirked before quickly going back to weeping on his shoulder.
A few moments later, Takuma entered the room. Senri looked over at Takuma and told him what he had found out. Takuma frowned and sighed before informing them that Kaname was outside. Akari cried harder. Senri wondered how she could manage to cry like this when she wasn't hurt or didn't even care about Kaname's actions. He figured she must have taken acting classes at some point. He sighed to himself.
"Lady Akari, do you want to see him?" Senri asked softly, running his fingers through her hair. She quickly shook her head. "Do you want to tell him anything?" Again, she shook her head. "Takuma-San, can you look after her for a few minutes?" He then asked looking over his shoulder at the blonde boy who gave him a funny look. "I think it's best that she stays here today. I'm going to get her uniform and some toiletries." He informed him. "I don't believe Lord Kaname would leave her in peace at this time." Takuma nodded and took Senri's place next to her.
Senri stepped outside of the room and was quickly cut him off by Kaname. Senri looked at him bored and waited for a number of questions from Kaname.
"She doesn't want to see me, does she?" Kaname asked, worried and Senri nodded. He tried to step past Kaname who once again, stopped him from going further. "What did she tell you?" Kaname then asked, sounding like his usual self, clearly trying to do some damage control. Senri looked in the eyes.
"She told me everything, she told me she was going to tell you she loved you more than a friend. She wanted something more. But now, after seeing you accept advances rather easily from another woman, I would be surprised if she ever looked at you again." Senri told him, sounding rather harsh. "I would beg on my hands and knees if I were you." He then added before pushing past him. He only suggested it in the hopes Kaname would do and he could witness it. Kaname sighed, he wouldn't punish Senri for his behaviour. Senri belonged to Akari, not him. He would just have to wait it out and try to apologise to her as soon as possible.
Senri gave up his bed for her and kept watch for Kaname. Rido never trusted Kaname from the moment he was awaken. At the same time, he knew it was his own fault. But now it was time to clean up his own mess.
Akari blanked Kaname the entire evening and night. Senri was also making it difficult for Kaname to approach her. Instead of sitting on her table, she had opened the large windows and sat down on the ledge. Her legs dangled three stories above the ground, enough to make anyone nervous. She leaned her head on the old stone wall. She even refused to have any pocky from Senri. This worried Kaname to no end. She knew that Zero was stood on the balcony next to her. He didn't make any effort to hide from her. She sighed to herself, bored.
She looked out over the forest, something had gained her attention, an almost silent scream. She stood up on the ledge. The whole class watched her before she jumped. Senri had heard the scream too, he knew what that scream meant, Level-E's. He ignored it, pretending not to know. He knew that Akari had to prove herself to Kaname, otherwise she too would have left the Level-E's alone.
Akari knew Zero was following her, she didn't blame him. She stopped behind a day class girl, frozen in fear as two Level-E's stood in front of her, licking their lips. Zero went to lift his gun from his jacket. Akari grabbed his arm to stop him and shook her head.
"We're too close to the school." She whispered and Zero nodded in understanding but still kept his hand on his bloody rose. He wasn't going to allow himself to be tricked in anyway.
The ground started to rumble. Suddenly, roots appeared from the ground at the feet of the Level-E's. The pair had spotted the pureblood at this point. They both seemed too deluded to care about their deaths at her hand, they seemed to think they could both fight her. As they went to charge, they fell to the floor, the roots had wrapped around their ankles. They continued to travel up their bodies as the vampires struggled against them. The roots tightened and tightened, squeezing the life from them before they exploded into ash.
The day class girl fainted, Akari caught the girl before she could hit the floor. Zero just stared at the roots as they slowly slipped back into the ground. He felt sorry for anyone who got caught in those roots, to be slowly squeezed to death. He shuddered at the thought.
"We should get her back to the headmaster." Akari stated, bringing Zero out of his thoughts. "Rima will help remove those memories." She then added, picking up the girl with ease. Zero huffed and quickly took the girl from Akari. She rolled her eyes and followed Zero as they walked back.
About halfway back, they met Kaname with Rima in tow.
"She was attacked by two Level-E's." Akari stated simply. "They have been dealt with. We were on our way to the headmaster to report the incident. We were also going to call for Rima." She continued, not looking at Kaname at all.
"In that case, we will come with you." Kaname stated, he then went to step to take the girl from Zero.
"I'm sure he can manage." Akari almost snapped at Kaname. Kaname and everyone else were surprised by her tone. Kaname would have to have a word with her later about her behaviour towards him around the others. They had to show union, rather they were united or not.
