Only three more weeks until season 4 of my hero is out, I'm so excited I can't wait to see how everything comes out and I hope you are too. As for now though it's about time I gave some love to some side characters. Also, this chapter will be filler.
Chapter Cover- The viewer staring up at Miss Tan preparing to stomp them.
Ch.38- Bending the law
August 8, 12:30 Pm
As stands watch on the edge of a building and look over the city, she gets a phone call from a friend she hasn't talked to in years. They were one of her allies during her vigilantes days.
She picks up, and a female voice is heard on the other, "Oh wow, I didn't think you would pick up." The voice says.
Ms. Tan backs walk from the edge, "I'm as surprised as you, but that doesn't change that you're still a friend." She retorts.
"If you're calling about a contact, I walked away from that, if that's what you wanted to talk about, hang up." Ms. Tan says but the other person stays on the line.
"No," The voice says in a firm tone before continuing, "I wanted to talk about some things, are you available now?" They ask.
"Huh, it seems we have both changed over these years, you hated talking in person." Ms. Tan says bringing her back to her old days.
"Well people change, meet at Night Watch cafe, I'm waiting for you." The voice says.
"Alright, give me a few minutes, I'm nearby." Ms. Tan says before hanging up.
Ten minutes later
Ms. Tan arrives at a late-night dinner, inside the dinner the floor hasn't been cleaned in a few days, and the staff appears to free time as there are only a few customers here.
Sitting in one of the booths is a shark woman in an ocean-blue dress, the woman has the appears of a Great White shark. The woman has seashell earrings and beach yellow waterproof shoes.
Her slim build contradicts her strength as she's able to rip the door off her car with just her mouth, and her quirk gives her all the abilities of a shark much like Tsu.
Ms. Tan takes a seat in front of the woman, whose drinking a glass of water, "So…" She says.
The woman puts down her glass, "I should explain what brought this on." She says, "I see you became a mother when you left, do you have a picture you could show me?"
Ms. Tan takes a picture out from her wallet of Cortney about to leave for her first day of elementary school, and the woman does the same.
"So we both became mothers, I see. I assume your daughter took your quirk?" Ms. Tan asks as she looks at the photo, where a man is holding a humanoid shark girl and the woman is to the side.
The woman nods before she puts the photo down and taps on Cortney's face, "After the girl was kidnapped and she had your last name and looked similar to you, I put two and two together. It took me a bit to get your number again."
Before either woman can finish what they're saying, a man walks through the front door and takes a seat at the counter, the man doesn't look like he came in to get some food.
Ms. Tan takes a deep breath and everything around her seems to slow to a crawl as she activates her quirk; Precognition. This quirk allows Ms. Tan to see the possible outcome of things happening around her, however, this quirk is limited by both the area of effect and time limit, too big an area and too long will result in Ms. Tan's head hurting or knock her out.
Ms. Tan sees the man about to hold the place and throws her weapon case, where it hits the man in the back in the head and bounces up.
"What the-!" The man yells out suddenly attacked, where Ms. Tan gets up and behind the man.
"Of all the places you try to rob, you pick the one with a hero in it." Ms. Tan retorts before catching and smacking her case into the man's face knocking him down on the floor. Everyone else in the dinner continues as if nothing happened.
The woman that Ms. Tan was talking to earlier, gets up and walks up next to her as she apprehends the criminal she just took out, where her tail slides out with her.
"I see your skills haven't gotten rusty, still as efficient as always." She retorts.
After tying up the man up, Ms. Tan stands up and hands back the picture, "I wish we could talk more but a hero can never stop working especially now, with All Might gone. Let's continue this conversation another day, we have each other's phone numbers now, so there shouldn't be any problems. See you next time...Habana." Before making her leave.
Habana pulls out another photo back her high school days with her, Ms. Tan, and another friend who's far gone now, "Rocker, what happened?" She mutters in her mind before putting the photos away and leaving money for the food then leaving out to the night.
Writer: Sorry for this very short chapter, but to help fill up more space, a character overview on Ms. Tan would be best.
Ms. Tan stands at 175 cm tall, not much taller than her daughters, who are close to overtaking her. And weighing 165 lbs so a little under the average.
She and her mother don't get along as she saw Ms. Tan as a worthless byproduct, which she harbors hate against her mother for.
Back in the past, Ms. Tan had a bloody streak as a vigilante where she would kill without a second thought, however, after taking out a criminal hideout she was left at death door and would have died in an alleyway If John hadn't found her. He took her to a hospital and against his better judgment, declared the Murderous vigilante eXecution dead.
When she was eighteen, Ms. Tan had Lisa and a few years after that she had Cortney. One day she promises to tell them everything but is just looking for the right moment.
She still doesn't have a hero license, but her skills overwrite and Nezu accepted her into U.A. despite her past.
And that's all I have, for now, next time we'll be heading back into the story with another filler chapter, sorry, not my fault.
