Tell you what, we can save that filler chapter for later and get on to the real story since I don't have a clear idea of what I want it to be, so I'll work on it later, we'll start this chapter from Minxs point of view.

Ch.39- Ribbitity hop

So after our hideout was destroyed and forced to run, we've been a little disorganized, to say the least. We've been hiding in the shadows and been trying to rebuild our strength by recruiting strong members, however, we've had little success and Grain said he'll try.

After our last fight, we were teleported by All of One to an abandoned factory that we call base for now. Right now, Twice is bringing someone he said had a powerful quirk, we'll see if they're worth recruiting or not.

When the door opens Twice walks in along with the person he was talking with, it's a guy with quite the look, as he's wearing surgical gloves and a magenta plague mask meaning his quirk must involve his hands. His clothes have a lavish appeal to them meaning he must be well off, so Twice may have just bagged us, someone, very useful to our cause.

Wait, something doesn't feel right about this guy, best I keep an eye. I create a small cloud of mist and start checking the building.

During my search reveals the guy Twice brought is the head of the Shie Hassaikai, one of the few yakuza groups left in Japan. Back before quirks, the yakuza were organized crime groups, but after the rise of quirks and heroes they died off. I don't think he came to join us and has other plans.

The man questions if Tomura even has a plan, and pans him for losing Stain, Moonfish, and Muscular. Stain never joined us, while Muscular and Moonfish got overpowered they both underestimated the U.A. students and Tomura can't be blamed.

"Did you not understand how to use them?" He asks, "You can't even manage ten or so crazy people, and you're talking about increasing your forces? What'll you do after gathering power that you can't control?" This guy is starting to get under my skin, best I'd have Twice kick this guy out before someone does something very stupid.

The man raises and grips his hand before and tells us to join him, Tomura calmly tells the man to leave but Magne has something she wants to say, she removes the bandages covering her magnet and attracts the man towards her using her quirk.

"Sorry, yakuza boy, we didn't come together to be under someone." Shit, my assumption was right, there's someone else with us, I don't have their exact location yet but they're here.

Magne smashes her magnet into the man's skull before her top half explodes in a shower of blood. Magne was just taken out in front of us and the man doesn't look the littlest bit fazed. Before I can fully take in what just happened, Compress jumps in next.

"Compress, Wait!" Tomura tries to stop Compress but he still makes contact but isn't able to compress the man, which costs him his left arm. Tomura goes next and I figured out that the other person is firing a gun and deflect his bullet out of the way giving Tomura the ability to fight freely and found where they are.

"Shield!" The man calls for help and a man with a similar mask steps in to stop Tomura and is killed by his quirk.

"What!?" He has guys willing to give up their lives for him?

The man subordinates bust through the wall and he calls it quits, I'm about to him before Tomura stops me and Twice and lets the man leave.

Normally, I tend not to kill and leave that to the others, but after what just happened I'm not letting that slide, Cortney Tan, consider yourself safe for now until I can avenge Mange.

"Auchou!" Someone must have mentioned me for that sudden sneeze to happen. Anyway, Mom mentioned to us that we should pick an agency with a good track record of accepting work-study students, the exact opposite to Mirko who prefers to work alone, so much so that she doesn't even work at an agency.

I don't know how Dad convince Miriko to tutor me but owe him BIG time, we actually have the day off, so most of us are taking it easy, but here I am instead working with Mirko. She said she would be waiting for me in Tatooine Station's eastern shopping district, only a few minutes away from school.

Dad told me a few things not to say in front of Mirko; I should not mention team Breakers, don't grab her tail, and don't ask questions that waste time. She's the only hero who uses a kicking style that quirk doesn't revolve their quirk modifying their legs, so I can't blow this, because I'll be sent back to square one and have to ask my classmates if I could join them.

I brought Chibi along with me as well, since I haven't got to work with Chibi since the Stain indecent, "Hey." Someone places a hand on my shoulder and I quickly turned around to face a woman with rabbit ears staring me down.

"Oh, you must be Mirko, I'm Cortney Tan, John Tan's daughter." I quickly introduce myself to Mirko and she gives me a once over.

"If you're his daughter, then he must have told you that I don't like working with others, so prove to me that your worth teaching by catching me." Mirko then runs off and asks me to chase her, running, err, hopping off at full speed using the crowd to cover her trail.

I can't let it end before it started, "Chibi, follow her!" I have Chibi follow Mirko on the ground, while I chase her putting my parkour skills to the test, I jump over to a nearby building and run across the walls to keep up with Mirko.

While I may be the slowest member of my team and the only one without access to flight, but I make it up by with my sheer mobility and stamina, "I'm coming for you!" I yell at Mirko, who turns around to see me keeping up with her, this is nearly ten years of training in action, "You're becoming my train, no matter how far or fast you go!"

She drifts into the roofed part of the district to shake me off and kill off any chance to catch her, I see her challenge and hop off the wall I was on and swing from light post to light post, gaining more speed, closing the distance between us.

Mirko makes a last-ditch lose me by hopping in the open streets in front of her, seeing this as my last chance, I'll lose way too much speed with the lack of things to use I grab and spin on a light pole before letting go and turning myself into a human bullet.

"You're accepting me, because you're it now!" I tell Mirko before crashing into her and both of us tumble down the street.

"Fine!" Mirko is now taking me under her wing, I raise my arm up in excitement, not fazed in the slightest by the full-body tackle I just performed.

"I'll admit, you have a way of moving around, Cortney." Mirko is impressed by my parkour skills. "Come on, crime doesn't stop itself." Mirko gets up and starts walking wanting me to follow her.

"I hope everyone else has a better time with their work-studies." I wonder how everyone else is doing.

Meanwhile with Momo and Himiko

They are spending their day off with their work-study, they arrive at a building resembling an old castle from the ancient japan period.

"This is the place Hina told us about, Momo?" Himiko asks unsure if this is the right place since the building looks so out of place in modern Japan.

Momo takes a look at the piece of paper Hina gave them, "This is the Miasma agency," Before either of them can do anything, the door suddenly opens, a woman with gray hair and wearing a black suit and glasses is standing in front of them.

"You must be the girls Hina told us about," The woman says, "Come in," She gestures for them to follow her.

They take a few steps inside before the woman stops, "?" The girls look on confused, wondering what's going on.

"Excuse me. Is Amallie coming to greet us?" Momo asks to which the woman shakes her head.

"Just because you know Hina, doesn't mean you get to skip steps, we all clawed our way to where we are, and you do the same." The woman exclaims before a tall man walks beside the woman, "Arm yourselves!" The woman pulls out a Python revolver from her cleavage while the man grabs a spear from a nearby weapon rake.

Momo and Himiko quickly ready themselves, Momo lifts up her uniform while Himiko is holding knives in between her fingers, ready to throw them. The woman fires a shot to her left, the recoil from the gun making it point to the ceiling, the woman never lets her sight off the girls.

Himiko throws a knife at the woman and the man blocks it with his spear, "In this field of work, simple tricks like won't work," He retorts before looking around in confusion, "Where did she go?!"

In the time that Himiko had hidden the second the knife left her hand, the woman sighs and reloads, dumping out the empty casing and loads in a new one, before slowly closing the cylinder. When it clicks shut, the bullet from earlier whizzes by Momo's face.

"Show me your skills!" The woman's personality flips around, where she becomes a new person.
