Writing one-shots can really help break you out of the stupor I've been in, I should post it sometime in the future.

Chapter cover- Lisa walking in the hospital with Eri on her shoulder.

Ch.42- Round two

After the first session with Eri, me and sis have made it a habit of visiting her after one of my sessions over the past few days. We've been slowly making progress with her with some help from Aizawa. However, I had to leave today's session to sis to focus on the homework I've missed.

After finishing the math part, my focus is starting to wane, everyone is out and all my games are at the dorms still, and Kim is still mia. Ugh, someone please give me an excuse to leave the house.

At that very moment, I hear the doorbell ring, thank goodness, I was at my breaking point. A look through the peephole reveals Peace and surprisingly Pony, I unlock and open the door for them.

"Hey, what brings you here?" I ask as school isn't over yet.

"We took the day off to hang with you," Peace replies with Pony staring at the floor.

I lean against the door and stare down at Pony, "But why is she here? I thought you never wanted to see me again?" I echo what Tetsu told me when he gave the news. Pony continues staring at the floor but she mutters something.

"That's why I'm here, I wanted to say sorry. I got angry at you for lying but didn't look at the full picture, you hid the burden so I could focus." Pony apologizes.

I rub the back of my head, "You were partway in the right, I should have told someone I was suffering and could have gotten help earlier." I counter before messing with my jaw, "But your hook has gotten much better though, still feeling it." I add.

Pony giggles at the comment, "I have you to thank for that." She looks me in the face for the first time this conversation.

"Now that you two have made up, Cortney, we were planning to go to our cake shop, wanna come?" Peace interjects to see her wearing an orange shirt with the Fairy Tail guild logo and jeans.

"Sure," I look down at the gray striped shirt I've been living in for the past week, "Let me get changed," I answer.

Since I took most of my stuff when I took to living at U.A, my choice of clothes at home is slim pickings, I change into the dress I used on my first date with Tetsu and my usual shoes and tie my hair in a simple ponytail. When I come out of my room, Peace and Pony gasp.

"Geeze Cortney, I haven't seen that dress since you and Tetsu first started going out." Pony points out.

I roll my eyes, "This all I have," I retort putting my purse on my shoulder, "Let's go."

"So then Nejire blasted Ryukyu through the ground and into the basement," While making our way to the shop, Peace is telling us what went down during the raid, her team was left to the handle the first blockade with Ochaco and Suu, so never enter the building. She also told us that the Shie Hassaikai was one of the few yakuza clans to not be disassembled or join Miasma. This also tells me the legends of the Big Three are true since I heard Mirio, who looks like Tintin or Lucas from Earthbound, single-handedly beat most of Class A, minus Shoto and Kachy in less than thirty seconds.

Once at the shop, we take our place in the line while Peace continues her first-hand account to pass time. As we're about to reach the front, "Hands up where I can see em'." The place is getting robbed.

"Eh, the three girls in the front, didn't you hear me? Hands up!" The robber orders but instead I reach into my purse and slip on one of my gauntlets. I hear the robber getting closer to me when he goes to grab me, I turn around and unleash a left hook on the would-be robber.

Upon glancing at the robber, I recognize him as one of the thugs that were with the cloaked man, meaning he must be nearby. Before I can do anything, I feel someone grab my arm and tossed through a display case.

"Well, how nice of you girls to gather in one place for me." The man is here, my body has gone limp. The man looks over his shoulder, "She's a lost cost." He deems them a non-threat, Peace and Pony have taken to their stances, the man reaches out a hand which causes Peace to fire a shot to back up, right into the arms of the thug I punch earlier. Pony is also grabbed by another thug that was hiding in her shadow.

"My boss will be extra happy when I bring the corpse of the daughter of the woman." The man pets Peace on the head.

Damn it, he's about to execute my best friends right in front of me, and I can't do shit. Seeing them in desperation, "I won't be a bystander!" I summon every ounce of courage I have to stand up and fight, I jab the man in the side but he isn't fazed instead, he grabs and lifts my arm to get a clean strike at my gut. I lurch forward as the fist is driven deep into my stomach, knocking the wind out of me.

Next, he drags me to a set of tables and slams me through each one, I git my teeth not giving the bastard of pleasure of hearing my cries of pain, and also delay the activation of my quirk just letting it build until just the right moment.

"If you girls try anything I'll instantly kill your friend." The man threatens Peace and Pony with killing me to keep them in check, "Your turn will come soon enough." The man drags me over to the cashier counter and slams me down on it, unlike the wooden tables, the counter proves to be much sturdier. I'm slammed against the counter multiple times, though the thrashing I can no longer hold back the pain and start to scream. Peace and Pony are forced to watch and hear my body breaking like a cheap Chinese toy.

The counter finally gives, almost along with me. I'm fighting to stay alive, my whole body aches with every little action, it wants to give up, just like that day, but I'm not a child anymore. I pick myself up, barely enough strength to stand even less to where I can't lift the top half. I manage to scavenge up some strength to lift my head, I see the man standing over me cleanly a bit angry he didn't kill me with that display.

The man cocks back an arm, "You're final stand was in vain." He tells me, launching it forward as the finishing blow.

"Here we go!" I sway my body back to an upright position and activating my quirk to meet his fist with mine when they clash, we're evenly matched for a second but I win the clash and lay it on him with an unbridled flurry of punches, each one holding the rage, fear, shame, and pain he brought me. After each one, they become faster and intense bringing back the fire he killed with the final one I slam my foot down, twist my body, gathering all the power into my arm and send him flying out the building via a window.

I look to the man splayed on the ground, eyes rolled in his skull and unconscious. I wipe off the blood on my lips and stare down at bugs holding my friends, I don't say anything just stare, they get the clue and run off with their defeated boss in tow.

Peace and Pony run up to check on me after that beatdown I received, "Cortney, you beat him!" Pony cheers with surprise.

"Yeah, I won, but that bastard still left me mentally scarred, winning one fight won't change things instantly." I sadly retort while looking at my gloved hand.

The baker comes up from hiding, "Thank you for saving my shop, how could ever repay you!?" They ask.

"Could we order some pastries? We'll pay." I ask.

The baker continually nods, "Why yes, free of charge." We point to all the destroyed shit.

"We weren't talking about the pastries," We say in unison.

Another week passes, we reported what happened, but the police and Misama clan have their hands full with the League, so they can't deal with it right now. I was told by my therapist I should be good enough to stop with the daily meetings and be able to go back to school, but coming back in once a week. Mom wanted to make sure/help my grades by helping Kachy and Shoto with their provisional licensing training.

"What are you doing here Cortney?!" Kachy is, of course, surprised with me being here since I passed.

"That's a story and a half," I exclaim.

"Are these your friends Cortney?" Camie asks.

"Friend," I point to Shoto who just stands there, "Best friend boyfriend." I then point to Kachy.

I have no idea what's about to happen, all I was told to do was get into my hero costume. I head to the female dressing room and start to change by the time I'm in nothing but my underwear I feel someone is staring at me.

I slightly open the door to let Chibi in so we can pincer whoever is watching me, I put the intruder into a headlock only to find out that it's a blonde girl. I let her go, "Sorry for sicking Chibi on you, I felt someone watching me," I explain why I did what I did.

"It's k," The girl lets me off the hook.

"Chibi, get my case for me," I command before turning back to the girl, "Cortney Tan Jr., but just Cortney is fine," I tell the girl my name.

"Camie Utsushimi, what makeup do you use?" Camie asks about my skin tone.

"This isn't makeup, I'm albino so I don't have any pigment in my skin," I explain just then Chibi comes with my case and starts changing.

"Is that your hero costume, that totes cool," Camie is amazed by my costume.

"Yeah, -Um where's the rest of your costume?" I ask interrupting myself when I see Camie's it's just a black catsuit.

"You're looking at it,"

"Oh no."

Once we're changed me and Camie are introduced, Gang Orca arrives on the scene and will be our instructor. Basically, stick an orca in a suit and add human parts. He immediately yells at the students, disappointed by their performance during the supplementary classes. He is especially critical of Katsuki, Shoto, and Inasa, going so far to throw them when they make a smartass comeback.

The doors open to reveal that today's challenge we will be facing….elementary students? What? This is a huge class as well like forty-plus students and they aren't listening to their teacher, whose on the verge of, no scratch that is crying. Seriously though, either give her a raise or get another teacher, I'm surprised she made it this long.

Me and Chibi moved to a far off spot so we wouldn't be hounded by the kids and watch what the others do first. They're bombing this hard, I join in since if they fail, my grade takes a good hit, and I don't want that.

When we enter the fray, Chibi is surrounded, I grab a few kids, put them on his back and tell him to go play. I walk over to Camie just in time to see her stuff a kid in her breasts, I thwack her over the head.

"Camie," I say through my teeth trying to catch the anger as it passes by.

"Yeah,"

I grab her zipper, "Don't tell you're this air-headed!" and pull it as far up as I can, enticing a yelp from Camie. I may not make it through the day due to anger killing me, I pinch my forehead just as a kid steals my gauntlets.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" I yell causing everyone to turn their attention towards me, I'm sure I could rival Present Mic in terms of voice call back Chibi and take back my gloves before taking a seat right where I'm standing. I close my eyes cut off everything around me and groom Chibi just to calm my nerves.

During the trance, we learn that the kids have shut away their hearts to the people trying to help them. I break from my self imposed trance when I hear Kachy suggest violence against the kids, I spin back up to my feet just being extra and march over to Kachy.

"Kachy, I usually can handle your anger fill ideas, but I'm drawing the line there. These kids need help, not pain, we're their last chance if we fuck up now, that's it, these kids will be lost forever." I enlighten them.

Camie raises her hand, "Wouldn't it be faster, if we like, showed them how cool our quirks are?" of course the boys would try brute force and Camie is the voice of reason.

As we are coming up with a plan, the kids take the first attack, when a black sphere zooms past Kachy's face and takes half his mask, followed by a dust storm and a flurry of other quirks.

"Hey, you kids have some really strong quirks, I have no doubts you could all become great heroes." I praise the kids while standing behind them, "But your discipline is seriously lacking." only pointing out their greatest weakness.

A little girl fires some type of energy beam at me, I tank the attack and when the dust settles I'm still in the same position and pose with all that's changed being my skin tone which is taking a light pink color meaning my quirk activated.

I look over to my left because Shoto was next to me and I hope he protected himself, when the dust clears, Shoto is completely unharmed, "Hey, there. I want to see your cute face, don't spoil it with wrinkles. " Shoto is now a completely different person, he went from zero to total hunk, holy shit, he charmed the girl and made my heart skip a beat. Luckily for me, this Shoto is actually an illusion made by Camie with her quirk, Glamour.

"I need to get Camie's phone number before this is over," I note to myself.

Meanwhile, Inasa implements the plan we had devised. Using his Whirlwind Quirk, Inasa carries the children up the ice slide that Shoto created with his Quirk using the projectiles the kids threw at us earlier. Camie also collaborates and uses her Glamour to create a dreamlike setting with aurora borealis inside the building and win over the hearts of the children, all except for one.

I walk over to the kid, the ringleader, who has been stuck to the wall this whole time and walk over to him, but Kachy stops me, "Hey, I got him," I let him do what he wants and play with the children.

Once that is done and we tear down the slide, Gang congratulates us on our job well done. I make sure to grab Camie's phone number and go out from another side, where I'm greeted by sis and Eri whose wearing a very ugly, vomit green shirt, skirt, and pants.

"Blame Aizawa, these were the only clothes she has right now, I get her some better ones," Sis interjects before holding out her fist for a fist bump, "Ready to go back to school?"

I bump her knuckles, "Mhum," and pat Eri's head, "I'm hungry."

"That's great, was 'bout to ask, Pizza?" Chibi howl's yes and sis leads us out with the sun setting, ending the first part of my journey.

Thanatos: And that's all we have, for now, today's quirk of the day is Glamour.

Delaila: This quirk allows Camie to create both visual and auditory illusions for a short period of time by breathing out a mist-like substance from her mouth.

T: These illusions are almost impossible to tell apart from the real thing, she even got Cortney.

D: Yes, although temporary the few seconds she creates can completely flip a fight in her favor.

T: But that's all we have now, next time, Cortney goes back to school and figures out what her class wants to do for the festival. See you later.

D: Bye souls.
