''Your cookies are always the best, Mebuki.'' A woman with dark brown curly hair says.
''I agree.'' A woman with short black hair says.
It is so nice seeing you all again. It feels like I haven't seen you in years!'' A woman with light brown hair in a bun exclaims.
''Now Now. It has only been a few weeks.'' Sakura's mother laughs.
Normally Sakura tries her best to evade her mother's get together with her friends. They always pinch her cheeks and gossip. But Sakura can use that gossiping for her own, actually her teams, benefit. So here she is with red cheeks that have already been pinched, quietly sipping on her tea. Her mother had actually asked her to stay a little bit before leaving to her room like she normally did. So she didn't even had to ask herself. Her mother wants her to be there in the beginning of the get together because her friends are interested in learning how Sakura is doing at the academy.
''So Sakura you started at the academy right?'' The woman with dark brown her says curiously. Sakura nods. This is Mary Hunt, a neighbour of Sakura's and a friend of her mother.
''You aren't nervous about being trained to be a shinobi? It seems dangerous.'' The woman with short dark hair says. Her name is Sophia Ascart. She and Sakura's mother share the same hobby.
''The academy teaches me well and we do not yet train with real weapons yet since we just started.'' Sakura responds.
''Have you already made some friends?'' Mary asks gently. Sakura hadn't really had any friends at this point in her life. She hadn't really until Ino. At least in the past. Now she has Naruto and Sasuke. But she doesn't know how her parents will react to her being friends with the second heir to the Uchiha clan and a Jinchūriki. Her parents love her and they care about her wishes and well being. They even let her join the academy to be a shinobi because it is something she wanted. But because they care about her they might be upset that she is friends with Naruto because they might think he is dangerous. That is why she hasn't told her parents yet who her friends are.
''She did but she doesn't yet want to tell us. Probably afraid we will scare them off.'' Her mother says before Sakura herself can.
''Well it is good to have friends.'' Mary returns
''Any people in your class that you have a crush on?'' The woman with a bun asks. A glint in her eyes. Sakura blushes slightly as she thinks about Sasuke but then shakes her head to shake the blush off her face. She has to focus.
This is Katrina Claes and she is one of the biggest gossipers of the village. You tell her something and within a day everyone knows. Not just civilians but shinobi too. She has a lot of personal connections and whenever you see her she is always talking with someone. If Sakura wants to change rumours she has to get this woman to spread them.
Author's note
I always thought Sakura was a civilian born girl so I got confused that on wikia it said her parents were ninja. I don't know what is the truth anymore but in this story they are civilians. Do you guys know? Sorry If this chapter seems forced I am sorry but sometimes you have to kick the plot to get it going. Can anyone guess which manga I was reading before I wrote this chapter?
