As soon as Senri was back, everything had almost gone back to how it was. However, Kaname had made a point that he was to walk her to and from class. He allowed her to sit on her desk with Senri next to her but he now sat closer to them. Akari knew it was to act as a warning to Senri. The same night that Senri came back, Kaname had had him ushered into his office before Akari could know he had arrived. Kaname had threatened Senri with his life if he caught anything happening. At that moment, Akari felt like Kaname was being a dog pissing all over his territory. But she knew that any day, that letter would arrive, the letter that would allow her to escape Kaname.

Senri hadn't failed to notice Takuma's disappearance, he knew that Kaname's sudden advances had distracted Akari from noticing the same. He had searched their room, looking for clues as to where he went. He wanted to make sure that Takuma leaving for however long, wasn't going to affect the plan they had made.

Senri had stayed up on the day he predicted the letter to arrive. It was about midday when the bedroom door slowly creaked open, allowing light to spill into the room.

"Where have you been?" Senri asked once Takuma had quietly slipped through the gap he had made himself. He jumped at the sound of Senri's voice, he hadn't expected him to still be awake or even back at this point.

"Why are you still up?" Takuma questioned back.

"I asked first." Senri countered. Takuma sighed and closed the door before plopping down on his neatly made bed.

"Kaname sent me on a mission to find Akari's parents." Takuma told him, his usual happy demeanor missing. Rido tensed internally, hiding his concern about what Takuma had found out.

"Any luck?" Senri sounding curious.

"Yes, but it isn't good news. I've already given Kaname my report." Takuma started, taking a deep breath before continuing. "Her parents were killed by Rido." He finished. Senri looked thoughtful before he chose to respond.

"But why? What reason does he have?" He asked, trying hard to sound curious and confused.

"There are a few rumors about it. It's been suggested that Rido had asked them for Akari's hand in marriage and they told him no. He got angry and killed them. The other rumor is that Rido had some sort of misguided justice after they abandoned her.

"Rumors? Is there anything more than rumors about their death?" Senri asked. Rido was sure that he hadn't left any evidence. He didn't want anything coming back on Akari. After all, killing a pureblood was punishable by death. He wasn't too sure if the Vampire Council would kill a pureblood for killing another, but he didn't want to risk it, risk Akari's life.

"It's believed that Rido hid their ashes and all the evidence in her family mausoleum. No one thinks to check their own mausoleum." Takuma told him. "My guess is Kaname will tell her the news and then go with her to find the remains if there are any."

"But if It's all rumors then why put her though all of that stress?" Senri huffed before standing up. "I'm going to stay outside her room, he shouldn't put her though all of that if it's just rumors." He added and marched out of the room before Takuma could say anything else. He still didn't know why Senri was up in the first place.

Another hour had passed, Senri was sat at Akari's door, watching the stairs. Kaname approached him, curious as to why he had seen the need to guard her door like a dog. Maybe Rido had made himself known to her again?

"Don't tell her until you know." Senri suddenly spoke up. Kaname raised an eyebrow.

"Tell her what?" Kaname asked.

"Takuma told me everything." Senri told him.

"I understand your concern Senri." Kaname started. "But a letter has now arrived and it appears to be from her parents. I think this needs to be investigated." He explained holding a crisp white envelope with Akari's family crest pressed into the blood red wax that sealed it. The letter Rido had sent, had finally arrived.

"Will you let her read it or will you hide it?" Senri asked critical of him.

"I wouldn't be outside her door with a letter of I wasn't going to give it her." Kaname pointed out. Senri quickly stood up and knocked on Akari's door.

Akari grumbled as a knock awoke her. She slowly slipped out of her bed and put on her black silk robe. She opened the door and glared at the first person she saw, Senri.

"What?" She hissed at him. It was unlike Rido to wake her up unless it was an emergency and right now, he didn't seem in a hurry. Someone clearing their throat now caught her attention, Kaname.

"This arrived for you." Kaname told her as he pushed Senri to the side and presented her with the letter. Akari eyed it before speaking.

"This couldn't wait until this evening? It's only a letter."

"We believe it's from your parents." Kaname stated and Akari looked at him like he was an idiot. "We must know what it in this letter, it's important." He then stressed to her. Akari sighed and opened the letter.

"Why is it so important? What has made you suddenly think about my parents?" She asked before she sat down to read the letter.

"Because it has come to my attention that they may have been murdered by Rido." Kaname stated simply as he followed her into her room. Akari froze before slowly taking a seat at her window lounger.

"What?" She whispered, the letter now sitting on her lap.

"It may not be true but we need to make sure that it is indeed your parents who have contacted you." Kaname calcified. Akari nodded and l looked down at the letter.

'Dear Akari,

It has come to our attention that you have allowed yourself to become involved with Prince Kaname Kuran without our consent or even consulting us. Not only that, he is currently engaged to Princess Yuki Kuran! It is disgraceful that you have willingly involved yourself with a man that is taken.

We have returned home at the very moment we found out. We are appalled to find you have left our home to be with Kuran. We are deeply unhappy with your immoral behaviour and demand that you return home immediately!

Please inform Prince Kaname Kuran that you can no longer be with him at that academy and you must return home to us. We will arrange a time to speak with Kuran to discuss any future relationship you two may have.

Rido Kuran had already asked for your hand in marriage before that scandal, if he doesn't come forward soon, we may allow you to return to that academy and continue your relationship with Kuran. That is only if his engagement with his sister has ended. Even then, a long and lengthy conversation will need to take place.

You have disgraced your family name and acted without morals.

Your father.'

Akari read the letter and gasped before handing it to Kaname.

"You told me to live my own life, I trusted you!" She screamed at him as he read the letter.

"Are you sure this is from your father?" Kaname asked her, ignoring her outburst.

"Yes!" She lied, screaming again. "I think I would know his handwriting!"

"I will go with you." Kaname told her.

"No!" She hissed at him. "I will just talk to Cross and explain what has happened. Then Senri will escort me home in case Rido intervenes. You will be contacted by my father from then on." Senri informed him. Kaname frowned.

"I would like to reason with your father face to face. I can't believe that they allowed you to be with men before but now you're with me, they have an issue. That they believe this is immoral." Kaname argued.

"I didn't leave and live with those men; they were considered rumors because I was home." Akari told him with a sigh. "I need to get dressed and speak to Cross." She went to push him out of her room.

"Akari, I'm next in line for the throne. Why won't they want me to marry you?" Kaname reasoned.

"Well, they promised me to Rido, your uncle and then I come here. You can see how it looks."

"But after what he did, they couldn't possibly think Rido is still a good match for you?" He questioned her and she shrugged.

"They made a promise, you can't go back on it your word just like that." Akari told him and he scoffed.

"Akari, you're old enough to tell them you don't want to go. I can reason with them; I could even order them to let you live how you want."

"One minute you want me to be considerate about family and when it comes to my family, you want me to push them away and treat them like dirt!" She shouted at him. "I will talk to them myself Kaname and if I need your help, I will write to you." She hissed at him, pushing him back towards the door. "NOW GET OUT!" She screamed at him, she lost control of his temper. Kaname frowned, he hadn't expected such resistance from her.

He left her room and heard the door slam behind him. He looked over at Senri who had surprisingly stay quiet the whole time.

"I will talk to her." Senri told him, again this surprised him.

"Do what you can." Kaname ordered as he walked away.
