Episode 3: Techno-Robotic Control Terror Part 1
Sitting in front of the Ring Pool, Monkey Khan is sitting next to it as he feels depressed. He lets out a sad sigh as he looks at his reflection in the water. He feels very distracted about what has happened with the Iron Queen, and what happened before reaching the city. Suddenly, Sonia's reflection appears in the pool next to him.
"Hey Ken," Sonia says.
Ken turns his head to see the magenta hedgehog.
"Hello Sonia," Ken says.
Sonia sits next to Ken, "Are you feeling okay?"
"Not really, to be honest," Ken says.
"Do you wanna talk about it? It might help, maybe even… let out the stress" Sonia says.
Ken stands up and calmly says, "Okay, I'll tell you what's wrong?"
He then uses his bat to release lighting as well as release his rage, "I'm no king!"
Sonia becomes startled to see this, and Ken continues to yell, "I wasn't even nobility when Robotnik stole everything from me! I wake up to find my homeland is being torn apart. The Four Houses warring over every stinking hill… And then Robotnik comes in and sponsors the Blasted Iron Dominion! Everyone caught in the middle needed some ray of hope. And then they attach that prophecy of the Monkey King to me, and then I… I…"
Ken sadly sighs and sits next to Sonia, "... I failed them. Just like I failed to help yesterday. I didn't realize that the Iron Dominion was after your friend Rouge and Eve's mother."
"It… it's okay… we all have gone through some struggles that can lead us doubtful, but it's not over yet. We can still beat the Iron Dominion and free the Dragon Kingdom," Sonia says.
"I do hope we do. Still, I can't help but wonder why the Iron Queen wanted Rouge and Obsidian," Ken says.
"I'm afraid I'm a little stuck about it myself. Sonic, Eve, and Shadow are also stuck on the matter," Sonia says.
"We need to figure that out. I don't want to think about what the Iron Queen plans to do with them," Ken says.
"I'm sure we'll figure it out. It's not like the bad guys are on the offensive yet," Sonia says.
Suddenly, they hear the alarm all over the city and Nicole's voice, "Your attention, please! We have hostels at the city wall please find cover immediately!"
"I had to open my mouth to that," Sonia mutters to herself.
Then calls out, "Nicole!"
Nicole appears in front of Sonia and Ken, "Right here, Sonia."
"What's going on?" Sonia asks.
"Two units crossed over the wall before I could raise our shield. It's Snively and the Iron Queen. I'm sorry I didn't detect them sooner. Something is distorting my entire network," Nicole says.
Hearing it makes Ken deeply concerned.
"Okay. We'll be there right away," Sonia says.
Then turns her head, "You ready for another round from yesterday… Ken?"
But Sonia notices Ken hurrying off to the wall without her.
"What's got him so spooked," Sonia says, confused.
At the wall of the city, Snively and the Iron Queen are hovering over the city with their separate hovercraft.
The Iron Queen looks down as she says, "this is the major seat of power for this Region?"
"Yes. The Republic of Acorn, yes," Snively says.
"Hmph. Quaint…" The Iron Queen comments.
Down below are Sonic, Sally, Bunnie, Antoine, Tails, Eve, Shadow, Molly, Leon, Topaz, and Amy.
Sally calls out, "Iron Queen and Snively Robotnik! You are both wanted for crimes against Mobius. Surrender peacefully, or we will use force to bring you to justice!"
The Iron Queen chuckles and says, "Is she truly addressing me like this? Me?"
"Oh, she's quite impertinent! She fancies herself as a princess, my love!" Snively says.
Sally calls out, "Bunnie? Tails? Shadow? Eve? You're up!"
With that, the four Mobians charge to the attack.
"Yes, ma'am," Tails says.
"On it," Eve adds.
The Iron Queen raises her staff, "Half-Robian is…?"
"Bunnie D' Coolette. Recently married, I might add," Snively says with an evil smirk on his face.
"Well, isn't that special!" The Iron Queen says, pointing her staff out.
She then makes strange symbols appearing around it and says, "Too bad it will be such a short-lived union!"
Suddenly, Bunnie's robotic arm suddenly has strange symbols around it and strikes at Tails's stomach.
"Wha-?! No!" Bunnie panics.
Eve quickly turns around, "Bunnie! Tails!"
Tails almost hit the ground, if Shadow hasn't caught him and lands him on the ground safely.
"Bunnie! What's going on?!" Sally calls out.
"Ah'm losin' control of mah limbs again!" Bunnie panics.
Soon, she is losing control of both her legs and her arm.
"Didn't your monkey friend tell you? I am a techno-mage. My magic allows me to control electronic signals… and command all sorts of machinery," The IRon Queen says, controlling Bunnie.
Then says, "Now then, my dear…"
"Don't you do it you…!" Bunnie angrily says, trying to use her organic hand to reach her.
Then the Iron Queen says, "Attack!"
With that, the Iron Queen uses Bunnie's robotic limbs to attack the Freedom Fighters and Team Dark.
As being forced to attack, Bunnie screams, "Everyone get away from me!"
Tails flies over, "I'll help stop you!"
Bunnie suddenly falls to the ground and her rocket feet blast at tails.
"Tails! Ah', sorry!" Bunnie panics.
Then Bunnie ends up flying to Antoune as she screams, "No!"
"S'il vous plaît non…" Antoine panic.
Antoine quickly moves out of the way as Bunnie screams, "Somebody stop me, durn it!"
Suddenly, Topaz, Molly and Leon grab her and have her pinned to the ground. Leon grabs her legs while the girls each grab a hold of her arm.
"We got you Bunnie," Molly says.
Topaz struggles to hold her on, "You sure are a tough one, but we need to find a way to stop the Iron Queen from controlling you."
"I don't know we can hold her back for very long," Leon says.
Sonic grabs Bunnie and takes her away, "I'll take care of it from here."
"Please tell me you've got a plan?" Bunnie asks.
"Yep! I'm going to help steer you to a contraption Nicole rigged out of the City's nanites… and we lock you down until you're safe again," Sonic answers.
Sonic quickly puts Bunnie into the contraption and closes it up. It kind of looks like Bunnie is in jail.
Sonic says, "It's not glamorous, but…"
"It'll do. Thanks sugar-hog. I…"
Suddenly, Bunnie's arm moves on it's own again,and realizes something is really wrong.
"Oh no! Run! Run!" Bunnie panics.
"But you're safe now…?" Sonic asks.
"She just engaged my arm cannon!" Bunnie panics.
With that, Bunnie's arm cannon forest caused her to burst out of her prison. Sonia and Ken arrive to see the event and Bunnie is blasting through the wall and toward Cream and Cheese, and some kids.
"Look out!" Ken exclaims.
He pushes Sonia and the children out of the way.
Sonia asks, "Are you all okay?"
"We're okay, Sonia," Cream says.
"Miss Rabbot! I mean… I mean Missus D'coolette!" One of the children worriedly says.
Then the feline child says, "You've gotta help her!" You gotta!"
"Chao Chao," Cheese replies.
"Don't worry, we'll help her somehow," Sonia says.
But Kenn worriedly says, "I… I'm sorry. I can't..."
"But you have to. You got those lightning-powers! Use 'em!" One of the children says.
Ken is reluctant about using his powers, especially getting close to the Iron Queen. Sonia comes to realize why Ken is looking so reluctant.
Back at New Mobotropolis Wall, the Iron Queen is still controlling Bunnie and Snively watches with amusement.
"What's this? You're looking terrible, dearie!" The Iron Queen mocks.
Then says, "Of course! You're only half-robot, so you have no battery. All your weapons are rockets' must run off your life-force!"
Antoine angrily says, "Monstre! Je vais vous tuber!"
"That Iron Queen has really done it now!" Eve angrily says.
Sonic helps Tails up.
Tails groans as he says, "I can… I can…"
"Take it easy, man. You're hurt," Sonic says.
Sally commands, "I need the Chaotix here, now! But not-Julie-Su!"
The Iron Queen then commands Bunnie to bring out the Arm cannon, "Well then, dearie! You'll have the honor of serving your new queen 'TIL THE END!"
Suddenly, Ken who is standing on the cloud, swings his bat, releasing lightning at them as he screams, "No! No more!"
The Iron Queen and Snively are knocked away, and the Iron Queen loses control of Bunnie, causing her to fall. Luckily, Antoine is able to catch her in the nick of time.
Antoine worriedly says, "Bunnie…"
Sonic and Eve rush over to her.
"Sal.. is she…?" Sonic asks, concerned.
Sally touches her forehead and feels her pulse, "She passed out."
"This is terrible," Eve worriedly says.
Sally turns to Sonic, "Sonic, get her to Freedom HQ and away from that mad woman!"
Sonic takes Bunnie from Antoine's arm and says, "Got it!"
Sonic then speeds away from the scene as Sonia is able to rush over.
"Sonia? What are you doing here?" Eve asks.
"I have to find Ken. He came to face the Iron Queen. What happened?" Sonia asks.
"The Iron Queen was able to control Bunnie and attacked us. Bunnie wouldn't last if Ken didn't come in the nick of time," Molly says.
Leon looks up, "And it seems he's not done with her yet."
Sonia looks in the sky and gasps in shock to see Ken is still facing the Iron Queen and ready to launch another attack.
"Ken no! Get away from her!" Sonia cries out.
"What's wrong? Amy asks.
"Ken can't get near her! Remember, Ken is a cyborg and has electronics inside of him!" Sonia says.
"Then that means…" Leon says, realizing the problem.
"The Iron Queen could control him," Topaz says.
"But as long as he has the Power Ring on his head, she can't control him," Eve says.
"That's what I'm afraid of. The Iron Queen knows that," Sonia says.
Up in the sky, the Iron Queen looks to see Ken is close range towards her.
"Monkey Khan!So you aren't a complete coward!" The Iron Queen says.
"Th-these people are more than you can handle run wh-while you still c-can" Ken says, furious and sounding a little tired.
The Iron queen chuckles and says, " Are you still pretending to have authority? The so-called 'King of the Free People?'"
Suddenly, something grabs the hold of the ring around Ken's head and pulls it away from his head.
"Ow! Ken yelps.
Ken quickly turns around to see Snively is holding the Ring with his mechanical claws.
"Not much of a king without his power ring crown," Snively says.
"No, but he makes an excellent pawn," The Iron Queen says.
Down on the ground, Sally calls out, "Amy! Get Tails to Doctor Quack!"
Amy nods her head and hurries to help get Tails to the hospital. Just then, Vector, Mighty, Ray, Charmy and Saffron arrive on the scene.
Vector says, "Nicole called us in. What's up?"
"We've got a situation, and…" Sally says.
Suddenly, they hear Ken scream, "Everyone run!"
Everyone looks up and gasps in shock to see what is happening.
"Oh no… Ken…" Sonia says, shocked.
Still in the air, The Iron Queen is using her Techno-Mage abilities to try to control the electric signal of Ken's cyborg body.
The angrily says, "Oh, stop resisting, fuzzy. The girl had only a few robotic limbs… but your cybernetics run throughout your entire body!"
The Iron Queen gives Ken a full blast of her powers and soon is able to gain full power over Ken. Ken lands on the ground and has completely changed. Sonia and Eve recognize the force Ken has obtained from the first time they faced the Iron Queen and Ken. Sonia is on the verge of tears to see what has become of Ken.
"You're mine once again! Now… burn this city to the ground!" The Iron Queen commands.
Ken's eyes glow red and glares at the Freedom Fighters, meaning the Iron Queen's power is commanding him to attack them.
Meanwhile on Angel Island, Knuckles is at the shrine and guarding the Master Emerald and is deep in thought about what has happened. With the rest of the Chaotix are away after receiving a distress call. Locke, Julie-Su, and Moritori are busy fixing up what's left of Haven, Knuckles is here alone.
Knuckles thinks, "According to Sonic and Eve, Espio has turned traitor. He left the Chaotix to join the Iron Dominion. Nicole confirms that he left with Lightning Lynx. And Eve said that they along with these Arachnis kidnapped Rouge and Obsidian. I don't get it, why does the Iron Dominion want them for?
He rubs his head, "But still, the Espio I knew was from Rainbow Valley. Here on Angel Island. He wasn't part of some Ninja Clan. And he was one of my first friends."
Suddenly, Knuckles senses something and turns around to see Espio from behind the emerald. The two firmly glare at each other.
"Guardian," Epsio says.
Knuckles says, "Espio."
"I've heard some nasty rumors that you've turned on me," Knuckles says.
"The Bride of Four Houses commands the clans now. I must perform my duty," Espio says.
"'The Bride of Four Houses?' Do you mean the Iron Queen?" Knuckles asks.
Espio brings out his kunai knife, "... I am not allowed to say."
Knuckles then holds out his fists, "The Master Emerald is a single most powerful magical item on Mobius. Quite the prize for a would-be world conqueror. I wish I had a 'friend' here to help protect it."
"Too bad," Espio says, throwing the knife.
Knuckles dodges. Knuckles then tries to punch Espio, but the chameleon dodge the attack. Knuckles then chases Espio down from the shine and to the edge of the island. Knuckles then dives down to attack him, suddenly, Espio grabs Knuckles by his dreadlocks. Knuckles ends up almost falling off the edge of the island, if Espio isn't holding on to his dreadlocks. Espio is holding on to Knuckles as he is close to dropping him and his kunai knife on the other.
