If Only I could have spent a little more time with you.

Sasuke has noticed that Shisui is often away on missions just like his brother. This makes it hard to keep an eye on him. He needs to keep an eye on him to make sure Danzo won't get his eye. He hopes he succeeded in getting Shisui to be suspicious of Danzo but he isn't sure if it worked. He tried to get to spend more time with Shisui but besides training, Shisui always gives the excuse he is too busy. Sasuke talked with Sakura about it and she had a great idea. Which brings him at this moment.

At the moment he is cooking dinner with his mother. Itachi and Shisui are to return just before dinner time. Naruto isn't here, he is waiting at the memorial stone to see if Kakashi visits. Naruto often eats dinner with Sasuke and his family but has begun to spend more time with Iruka-sensei now too. Sasuke is happy for Naruto. That he can spend time with Iruka-sensei. Naruto had told him how important Iruka-sensei is to him. Anyways, Shisui and Itachi will be back in the village today. It is the perfect chance to try out Sakura's idea.

''Mom.'' Sasuke begins as he finishes washing the vegetables.

''What is it?'' His mother asks as she looks up from the meat she is seasoning.

''I am worried about Shisui-nii.'' Sasuke says making sure to make his voice sound worried.

His mother blinks. ''Why?''

''Every time we train he seems tired and thinner.'' Sasuke explains.

''Thinner?'' She repeats as she thinks. ''It is possible. He has gone on a lot of missions the last few weeks so I understand that he might be tired and I guess he cannot eat as much on mission as he can when he is at home.'' She puts the meat in a pan and begins to cook it.

Sasuke finishes cutting the vegetables. ''What do we do mom? He lives alone so he has no one to look after him. What if he falls down from hunger and dies?'' He makes sure to make his eyes go big in fear and let tears form in his eyes. He has learned to act for missions.

''Now now Sasuke I am sure Shisui won't die that easily.''

''But mom how can you know for sure! Have you seen him lately? He really looks thinner and more tired.''

''I guess it wouldn't be bad to be safe and you are right that he lives alone.'' Her eyes turns determined and Sasuke has to hide a triumph smile. ''Don't worry Sasuke I will take care of it.'' She ruffles his hair.

They continue cooking and Naruto joins them as they are almost done. Sadly he tells Sasuke he still hasn't seen kakashi. They both together set the table and just as they are done they hear Itachi coming home. Mikoto walks towards the front door to open it.

''Welcome home.'' She smiles at the two boys. Itachi nods and Shisui shoots her a grin and then turns to wave goodbye to Itachi. ''Well then I have things to do at home so I will take my leave now.''

Before he can leave though Mikoto calls out to him.

''Can I help you with something m'am?''

''In fact yes you can.'' She looks him up and down and narrows her eyes. Shisui's eyebrows raise in confusion. He shoots a questioning glance at Itachi who shrugs.

Author's note

...Hi...I know I haven't updated in like two months. I was busy with school and things happend in life. My country is in another lock down again. Also I have some trouble writing the next part of this story. I have an ending in mind but writing from the middle to the ending, I haven't totally figured that out. Also when I started this story I wanted it to have lots of funny moments but then I started writing it and it had mostly sad moments. The next part will be less sad.

I have a short break before I have school again so you can expect more updates comming soon.
