XXXX DC: Prime Earth, 1990 XXXX
It had taken another two months to decipher and incorporate the cloning and memory transfer technology into a lab. It was in the main tower and had all of the machines and information I would need to extract DNA, study it, experiment with it and create a new body. So before anything else I decided I would upgrade myself, getting Atlantis airborne and creating a portal to a DC based universe. I chose Prime Earth because I could judge the timeline better, since it started in 2011 and Superman started around his early twenties, he would be young enough in 1990 to get DNA from him. I simply had to beam up baby Clark when everyone was asleep, get some DNA and beam him back down to his crib.
Another problem I had to solve before coming was the cloak and shield issue, one could not be used while the other was active. This wouldn't work because eventually I might be in an universe that could detect my arrival, while the portal might go unnoticed I was sure a ship would be picked up. It took some experimenting and bouncing ideas off Morgan but eventually I found a way to turn the cloak into a system like the shield, it would create a bubble around the city-ship that was far enough outside of the actual shield so they could both function. It meant the cloak would cover more area and use more power but it was worth it to have cloak and shield.
Finally, before leaving the Pegasus Galaxy I decided to take care of the Asuran's, which was far easier then I would have thought. With the help of my Asuran's I created twelve satellites that were equipped with hyperdrives, cloaks, shields and disruptor weaponry, once all were finished and launched into space we made our way to their planet. We arrived cloaked and once all twelve satellites were in place, they dropped the cloak and fired, their blasts covered the whole planet simultaneously and left nothing active. I waited around and did several scans, unlike the Lanteans I wasn't going to assume I was done. After a few days, and some exploring to take their ZPM's and Drone's to add to my stockpile, we agreed they were gone for good and moved on. I destroyed the satellites, they were only made to deal with replicators and I didn't feel like reworking them, and headed off to the DC dimension.
While I was working on my new project, I had the Asuran's work on gathering somethings from Earth. As they would eventually move into other areas I wanted to let them have a base to work from so I sent them to gather material on art, literature, music, cooking, architecture, government and several other fields. As the first race to be part of my budding empire they would play key roles, I was using the Dominion from Star Trek as a starting point for my empire. The Asuran's would be like the Vorta and the Jaffa would be like the Jem'Hadar, though I planned to integrate more races into those roles as well.
"Okay lets see." I looked over the two different DNA strands, I wanted to keep the activation gene and have the powers of Superman but was hoping to get rid of the kryptonite weakness. Currently I didn't have any kryptonite, though I had Kino's scouring the planet for it, and couldn't figure out what genes triggered the power loss. It wasn't a guarantee, but the chances were good that a mixture of Lantean and Kryptonian could get me all the power and no problems to worry about. "Of course I doubt anyone is going to have kryptonite in another universe but if I meet a Batman and he notices I have the powers of a Kryptonian he will grow even more suspicious." Nothing would shake suspicion from Batman but the last thing I needed was the extra suspicion of being a Kryptonian.
Of course merging DNA wasn't easy, even with the Lantean's advanced research and technology it was not a simple cut and paste operation. I didn't want to rush and ruin my samples, even though it was simple enough to get more, and I didn't want future genetic issues so I had to run a lot of long term simulations. It took another month for me to find a working strand, it would have been faster but I found a piece of Kryptonite and had to rework what I had already worked on. After countless hours though I got everything I wanted, though I would still be weakened by red sunlight, but I could live with that as there were work arounds for it. I grew the body in the cloning pod under bule sunlight, as it made a Kryptonian stronger than yellow sunlight, and when it was ready I got into the pod that would transfer my memory to the new body.
I had to be patient with my new body, I now had superior senses, strength and reflexes, so I had to train. After the transfer I was beamed to an empty lab to begin my training, I first focused on hearing so I wouldn't be overwhelmed. Just being near an Asuran was mind rattling, I could hear each nanites legs moving and it nearly broke me at first. Luckily Morgan realized what was happening and transported the Asuran out, leaving me alone again to practice. Another month passed before I was ready, my Lantean mind helped greatly with keeping my abilities at the right level.
"Amazing." I muttered as I flew around Atlantis, it was the only ability I hadn't worked on much as the lab was not overly large. "Morgan how fast am I moving?" I asked into the communicator.
"200 meters a second." She answered me. "Do you feel you are at top speed."
I let out a laugh. "Oh I am far from that but I don't want to hit mach speeds inside the shield, One might not be happy with me if I break all our windows."
"I wouldn't be either." Morgan said back and I heard her smile. "If you are done playing around though we should move on to the next phase of your plan."
"Your right." I said with a sigh and moved back to the main tower, landing on the balcony and walking into operations. "Alright killjoy lets get on with it." Morgan smirked at me before disappearing into the system. I headed over to the dimensional device and started inputting the new coordinates, I was about to get my first taste of leadership and I was eager for it.
XXXX Stargate: Udhut, 1990 XXXX
Udhut was a small fertile planet in the outer regions of the galaxy, the planet fell under the control of the Goa'uld Kherty. Kherty was not considered a threat to those around him, while he controlled five planets, he did not have access to naquadah, the material used to build Goa'uld technology. He was fortunate to be near the Supreme System Lord Ra's territory though, by supplying Ra's planets with food he was given naquadah to build his army, though not enough to build his army. Of course Ra wouldn't give him enough to become a threat so Kherty would not become a System Lord without a major supply of resources.
He had been working and planning for years to expand his realm farther though, he had finally gotten ahold of a list of minor Goa'ulds who held planets with little value. He would overthrow them and add their numbers to his and then finally take over a naquadah mine. He knew he had to be cautious though, should he be discovered he might find himself up against a more powerful opponent and he didn't want to risk his territory no matter how small. He still had a few years to go in his opinion before he would be ready to make a move on his chosen planets.
"My Lord." Kherty looked down from his throne at his First Prime, Bol'vak, came and bowed before him.
"Speak Bol'vak, why do you disturb me?" Kherty asked, having to wave away the female attendents massaging him. Bol'vak was loyal, as were all the Jaffa around him in his throne room and knew better then to bother him during his relaxation period.
"My Lord a man has come through the chappa'ai, he asks for an audience with our god." Bol'vak answered though he never looked up.
"Who is this visitor?" Kherty asked, it was odd to receive guests but if he was fortunate it would be someone from an unconquered planet outside of Goa'uld influence. He could lure them in with promises of a treaty and then take them over, increasing his power in the process. "Does he serve another?"
"The Jaffa who brought him from the chappa'ai say no." Bol'vak replied. "He claims the name Magnus my Lord."
Kherty did not recognize the name and smiled as this man did not claim another god. "Bring him to me."
"At once my Lord." Bol'vak said before standing and heading out the doors.
"Jaffa, kree." Kherty shouted and the remaining Jaffa stood straighter, a show of obedience and power to this visitor. As Bol'vak returned Kherty focused on the man a few feet behind him, surrounded by four more Jaffa. He was tall, taller than the Jaffa, with black hair and blue eyes along with a well-muscled body. "He would make a good host." Kherty thought as they arrived in front of him, Bol'vak bowing as he did.
"My Lord, I present Magnus to you." The First Prime said aloud.
"Greetings Magnus, welcome to my domain." Kherty said in his deep voice, making his eyes glow as he did as a show of power.
"You're a god?" Magnus asked with a smirk on his face, making Kherty frown and sit up in his throne.
XXXX
After arriving back in the Stargate dimension, making sure it was the same one I left, we spent some time looking for the right Goa'uld to face. I did not want a System Lord as it would be noticed quickly if they disappeared. Plus if I was going to change the Jaffa to no longer need a symbiote I didn't want to have to worry about thousands of them at a time. Kherty had a few planets under his belt and from what I could tell around two thousand Jaffa, a few thousand humans working his fields, two Ha'tak motherships and a few Al'kesh bombers and Death Gliders. As far as I could tell he did not answer to a System Lord directly and used his fertile planets to stay friendly with different System Lords so as not to make strong enemies.
I had come through the stargate alone, not wanting to draw to much attention to myself or cause the Jaffa to be cautious of me. I was still wearing the basic Lantean outfit, which did not do much to hide my new muscular physique and brought no technology with me. The Jaffa were standard looking, each with a ram's head symbol on their foreheads, and various skin tones from dark black skin to lighter tanned skin. What was interesting was that some of the Jaffa had the special helmets that could come out from their armor but unlike the snake and hawk helms I've seen in the show they were rams. I guessed the technology wasn't something that was hard to get, it really just mattered what symbol the Goa'uld used as theirs.
Kherty himself was a light skinned male with a thin but toned body, no obvious muscle on him so I took him to be a simple Goa'uld who commanded and never fought. With my new eyesight I could see the greed when he looked at me, it was obvious he wanted to make me his new body, but he would find himself unable to pierce my new skin. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes as he spoke to me, it took a second for me to remember I had changed my name. Magnus was latin for great, I felt it sounded more imperial then my actual name and since I was in a new life, I felt I needed a new name.
"Greetings Magnus, welcome to my domain." Kherty said in the deep voice signifying him as a Goa'uld, his eyes glowed as well most likely to try and intimidate me.
"You're a god?" I asked loudly, making Kherty frown and sit up in his throne.
"Insolent!" Bol'vak said from the side. "You dare mock the God Kherty?" He swung his Ma'Tok staff weapon at me, the end separated to show the barrel. The other Jaffa did the same, but I didn't flinch, instead focusing on Kherty.
"Bow to your god fool." Kherty sneered as he stood and glared at me. "And perhaps I will spare your life."
"The only fool I see is you." I replied and looked him up and down. "I know what you are Goa'uld, you are no god, just a pathetic parasite needing others to keep you safe." Rage built up on his face. "This is who you serve Jaffa?" I looked to Bol'vak. "I thought I actually found someone worth my time, seems you were fooled as well."
"Jaffa kree!" Kherty yelled. "Kill him."
Moving at superspeed was still odd but as they moved to fire at me, I appeared in front of Kherty, the host's body recoiling in shock as I arrived. "Weakling." I grabbed him and tossed him to the spot I was at, though I made sure not to kill him yet. "Come god." I mockingly said. "Show me what makes you worth the title."
Kherty scrambled to his feet, Bol'vak moving to help him. "Attack, kree!" He screamed again and I was on the move, faster than any of the Jaffa could react I took their staffs and dropped them in a pile by the throne.
"I said you Kherty!" I yelled; the Jaffa were all looking at their now empty hands but focused on me as I walked down the steps. "Not your soldiers, you claim to be a god and gods need no help."
"What are you?" Kherty muttered and brought up his right hand, on it was a Kara kesh hand device which hand several functions. The golden device had a glowing orangish-red gem in the palm of it with ribbon like gold pattern covering the fingers and most of the forearm. "No one mocks a god!" He yelled and fired a kinetic blast at me, trying to render me helpless. I used my superior speed to move around the blast and arrived at his outstretched arm, grabbing it firmly I stared down at him as I was at least six inches taller.
"You call yourself a god yet rely on technology." I slowly grabbed the Kara kesh with my free left hand and started to remove it. My statement was only slightly ironic as I needed technology to get to this level.
"Stop!" He yelled. "I command you to stop." He swatted, punched and clawed at me. "Bol'vak help me!"
I turned to the stunned Jaffa. "This is who you serve?" I asked as I finished taking his Kara kesh off, tossing him to the First Prime's feet. "This is your god?"
"You no nothing!" Kherty yelled as he stood and looked around. "He mocks me, but he is no god!" He pointed to me. "You mock my technology, but you are no different!" He was getting desperate and grasping at straws. I chuckled and quickly removed my shirt.
"Where?" I asked loudly, his eyes widened as he looked for anything that could be technology. "You claim I use technology where is it?" I dropped my pants as well, I knew it might go this way and hadn't worn underwear, I was naked before them. "Well Goa'uld where is it?" He shook his head in confusion, not understanding what was happening. "You Jaffa are warriors!" I yelled and slowly turned to look at them all. "These Goa'uld claim to be gods, claim you need them, but it isn't you that need them but they who need you!" I shouted and faced Kherty, I started to activate my heat vision and both Kherty and Bol'vak took a step back. "Tell me Kherty what are you without a host?"
He started to move back again but I dashed forward and grabbed him by the throat, lifting him as I did. "You are nothing!" I was waiting for it and he acted just as I thought he would, Kherty's actual body shot out of the hosts mouth and went to pierce my arm. He was hoping to get inside me and take me over, I grinned as he stopped dead in his tracks, though I could feel him desperately trying to pierce the skin. Quicker than anyone could see I dropped the host body and grabbed the serpent, holding it just below the head so it's body flailed about. "Look at your god Jaffa." I held it out to Bol'vak. "You don't need him; he is nothing without you or another body." I stared him down, ignoring the Goa'uld in my hand while the host body, now free of the Goa'uld, began freaking out and yelling in another language. I ignored him as he scrambled away in fear.
"We will die without them." Bol'vak said quietly, his eyes on the Goa'uld but his hand instinctively to his poach where he carried an immature symbiote. "The Jaffa live to serve our gods."
"No longer." I said, drawing his attention. "I know of the Jaffa; I know of their honor and their strength and I came to see it for myself. I came to gain the aid of the Jaffa and in return I will remove the shackles placed upon you." I pointed to his poach. "Swear loyalty to me, not as your god but as your leader and I will free you all."
Bol'vak looked at me for a moment, then at the Goa'uld before looking around the room at his fellow Jaffa. I watched them as well, some looked at me in awe while others looked on in horror, probably from my show of speed and strength in lifting Kherty's host body with one hand. "You claim not to be a god." I looked back to Bol'vak. "Yet you move faster than the eye can follow, if you are not a god then what are you."
"A superior being." I answered back. "Everything I have done today is without technology, but my technology surpasses the Goa'ulds, I am of the builders of the chappa'ai." That caused a few gasps and mutters, even Bol'vak's eyes widened. "What is your answer First Prime?"
Bol'vak dropped to a knee. "You have my allegiance, what shall I call you if not my god?" The other Jaffa also dropped to a knee, listening carefully.
"I am your Emperor." I replied.
"Jaffa kree!" Bol'vak yelled. "Hail Emperor Magnus!"
"Hail Emperor Magnus!" the other Jaffa yelled in reply.
I grinned before looking at the Goa'uld, it had calmed down. "All hail Emperor Magnus, long may he reign." I said before tossing the alien into the air, it shrieked and squirmed in the air as I charged my heat vision and blasted it.
"Long may he reign." Bol'vak said as he watched his lord, his supposed god turn to ash under the powerful laser like gaze of his new Emperor.
"Rise Bol'vak." I said as I turned and walked to gather my clothes. "You shall remain First Prime for now."
"Thank you, my Emperor." He said as he stood, watching me dress.
"I reward loyalty Bol'vak." I said as I dressed. "Those who remain loyal will be rewarded, those who do not will be dealt with accordingly."
"Understood my Emperor." He replied, looking back at the other Jaffa who all were listening.
I walked up to the throne and grabbed a staff weapon. "Here." I tossed it to him. "Jaffa, come gather your weapons." The men were quick to move. "Go and spread the word but only to this planet, Kherty is dead and Emperor Magnus now rules." I pointed to Bol'vak. "Bol'vak secure the chappa'ai with trusted men, no one is to leave here until I say otherwise."
"It will be done my Emperor." He said with a nod before heading to the door. "Jaffa kree!" Others moved to follow but four men stayed.
"My Emperor we were assigned to guard the false god Kherty, shall we remain to guard you?" One asked, I could hear the hesitation in his voice, probably because he saw what I was capable of.
"You and you stay." I pointed to the one who spoke and another. "You two go out of the city, a large ship will be landing soon. It is mine and all on it are allies, you will lead the people who disembark to me."
"Yes, my Emperor." Both said before jogging off to follow my orders.
I took my seat, only now noticing the females who had been attending to Kherty. "You are free to leave." I said to them. "Spread the word of Kherty's fall and your new Emperor's rise."
"Yes, my Emperor." One of the girls, a pretty brunette in a skimpy bikini like outfit said with a nod. Her friend looked afraid and had to be dragged out of the room by the brunette who spoke.
I reached up and hit my communicator. "Mission accomplished Morgan, bring Atlantis down to the planet."
"Well done sir." Morgan replied. "Are we using the spot we designated earlier?"
"Yes." I answered, I didn't want to take over any land as most of it was being used for farming luckily their was an ocean not to far that Atlantis could land in. "I sent two Jaffa to meet up with 300 and his team."
"I will inform him." Morgan replied and I cut the channel, 300 had orders to deactivate the stargate before coming here. I didn't want anyone surprising me as I began cleaning up and reorganizing Kherty's worlds.
"Bol'vak will be able to give me the addresses of Kherty's planets and we can go and shut down all the gates." I mused as I sat on the throne. "Once we setup some satellites anyone who comes looking will be taken down and when I'm ready will head out to a new dimension."
XXXX
The takeover of Kherty's territory went smoothly, after shutting down the stargate on Udhut I made my rounds so I could get a good idea of what the city looked like and so people could see me. The Jaffa were introduced to the Asuran's and 300 was left in charge as Bol'vak and I moved to the other worlds and did the same. As we traveled, I gathered data on the Jaffa and Goa'uld, after reaching the first planet I found that Kherty had left it in the hands of matured Goa'uld under his command. I easily dispatched them but kept the Goa'uld alive for a while so I could study them along with the immature symbiotes. I wanted to not only cure the Jaffa but add the healing ability to them so they could still heal from injuries.
With my recent experience in making my body it wasn't hard for me to fix up the Jaffa, though instead of simply fixing their current bodies I made them each a new one after getting their DNA. Bol'vak was the first of course, by the third planet his mind was moved into the new Jaffa body and he was happy to test it. I put him through rigorous tests, checking his strength, reflexes, senses and healing which all were above even the Jaffa level with a symbiote, I even de-aged him some so he could live longer. My reward only solidified Bol'vak's loyalty to me, though it was in little doubt before I was positive now.
Freeing the Jaffa required more than changing their bodies though, so to cement this change we created a ritual for the Jaffa when they received their new body. There was already a coliseum on each planet so people would gather, and we would bring in the old body. First the Jaffa would pull out the symbiote, wearing a special glove so the Goa'uld couldn't enter them, and they would crush it in their fist for all to see. The Jaffa would cast it aside before cleaning the old body with oils, to remove the taint of the Goa'uld, and then we would burn it.
Changing the Jaffa was a slow process, I didn't just want to force things on them but give them choices to make their culture their own. Bol'vak was still my First Prime but I had him chose a Jaffa from the other four planets and named them Prime of whatever planet they were on. Asuran's were now on every planet helping things move along but the Prime was in charge of the Jaffa and defense of the planet. I also brought in all the data I could find on Spartan culture and introduced it to Bol'vak and the other Primes, I felt it was close to there already existing culture. Of course somethings would be updated to be more modern but for now it gave them a sense of freedom and improved their independence. Somethings remained though, the warriors still wanted to mark themselves as warriors of the Nova Empire, what I had decided to call my budding Empire. I used nanites to remove the ink of their forehead tattoos, or the gold in the case of Bol'vak. We then replaced the ram with a star, I used the Polaris symbol with the points towards the cardinal directions longer then the ordinal directions. Bol'vak still kept his gold version and the Prime's were given silver while the rest had the simple tattoo.
A few Jaffa were killed, some wanted to stay loyal to Kherty while others turned out to be spies for other Goa'uld. While removing the tattoo's the Asuran's read the minds of every Jaffa, though first I blasted some nanites with staff weapons so the Asuran's were immune to them. I also had them read the minds of all the humans on the planet as well, just to be sure a clever Goa'uld hadn't used one as a spy. After cleansing the ranks, I had a total of two thousand eight hundred Jaffa men and women, one thousand and seven hundred were warriors while the rest were woman and children. There were three thousand humans of various ages and sexes, each planet also elected a spokesman for the humans so they had a voice to me. I made sure they knew Jaffa and Humans were different in my eyes but would have equal rights, a few human men had already begun training with staff weapons to increase our numbers, though they did not get the tattoo's as that was decided to be a Jaffa tradition.
While the Asuran's and I worked on fixing up the people Morgan was tasked with improving the Ha'tak, I decided to keep the overall design but gut them and replace them with better equipment. When they were completed, they would be able to blow any current ship in the galaxy to pieces, though I did need to upgrade my pulse cannons to plasma like the Asgard had. The drones on Atlantis were better but I didn't want to arm all ships with drones, just my ship as an ultimate weapon. The few Jaffa that were taught how to pilot the ships were brought in and trained on the new systems, the Asuran's would stay on board to work as engineers but allow command and tactical positions to remain with Jaffa.
"How is our progress Morgan?" I asked as I looked out the tower of Atlantis, the two Ha'tak vessels were parked just inland of the coast being worked on.
"We are progressing at a good rate." She answered as she appeared next to me. "The Asuran's have found a better way to train, they are inputting the knowledge into the Jaffa and then doing drills." I nodded at that. "So far it seems to be working and creating less frustration in the Jaffa."
"Excellent." I made a mental note to speak with the Asuran's about the process, nanites were going to be a key feature in gaining some allies.
"The Humans are happier, with nothing shipping out they are able to eat more and have gained weight." She reported. "The Asuran's who studied agriculture are working with them to improve not only their farm life but overall life in general."
"Any hostilities between the Jaffa and Humans?" I asked.
"Some, you can't just wipe away years of abuse but it's getting better." She answered. "The Jaffa are understanding in our growing Empire they are the protectors of these people but not their masters. They Humans are also understanding that just as they were oppressed the Jaffa were to in their own way and simply did as they were told to do." She sighed. "It will not be easy, and it will not be quick but the signs of healing are there."
"Good." I replied. "We are too few to be spread out this much, once we reach the Star Wars dimension, we will be on one planet together. I need everyone to accept that."
"I agree, the housing here is almost ready and I believe in a month we will have the room to move everyone here." Morgan informed me. "That will help see any complications before the big step into our final planet."
"How goes the schooling?" Education would be important, I wanted growth in culture not just me feeding them what to do. Smarter people also made for smarter soldiers.
"The children are doing fine, though we haven't started on anything complex." She said and I nodded, you can't just take medieval level people and teach them material from even an Earth level society. You had to build them up, fortunately I would be moving towards time not being an inconvenience.
"Good." I muttered with a nod. "Once the housing is done we will move everyone here to Udhut, while their settling in I am taking a thousand Jaffa, actually I'll mix some of the human soldiers in as well, and going on a supply run."
"Where to?" Morgan asked, I grinned big and looked at her.
XXXX MCU: Earth, 1000 XXXX
Bol'vak watched from his seat as they exited the large portal his Emperor had created with the device he added to the Ha'tak for this mission. The new Ha'tak's were amazing, he was not lied to when his Emperor claimed to have technology more advanced then the false gods. The new Pel'tak, or bridge as the Asuran's called it, was outfitted with more seats and systems to monitor their vessel. The Command chair was on a small dais in the middle of the room, with enough room that it could turn completely around to see anyone, currently the Emperor was sitting there. He and the actual Ha'tak Commander were seated on the right and left of the command chair, their chairs could swivel completely as well. The pilot and his secondary were seated in the front of the room with a large view screen for them to watch space. The right side was were the weapons and navigation stations while the left side was communications and engineering stations, Jaffa guards were stationed at the door ready to defend or move to assault intruders.
He still had trouble wrapping his mind around what the portal did exactly, it both was and was not like the chappa'ai but instead of taking them to new worlds it moved through new dimensions. His Emperor and Lady Morgan tried to explain it and he is grateful they were patient but eventually he just gave up trying to understand. He went with a simple explanation, his Emperor was taking them somewhere to do battle, that was all he needed to know for now.
"Report." His Emperor barked and he eyed the Asuran manning the station.
"Cloak and shield are active, no problems from the travel." The Asuran answered. "We are orbiting Earth."
"Excellent." The Emperor turned to Ertin, the Ha'tak commander. "You have command while I lead the assault, 633 has the coordinates so take us down."
Ertin quickly stood and saluted the Emperor, which was to place their right closed fist over the heart and bow their head. "Yes Emperor." The Emperor saluted back and then Bol'vak stood to follow after him.
"How do the men feel Bol'vak?" Emperor Magnus asked as the walked, he stood just behind him and to the right as he was taught. "Anyone nervous? Confused? Anxious?"
"They stand ready my Emperor." Bol'vak replied firmly. "They are anxious though not from fear but excitement to prove their worth to the new Empire and to you."
"Good, but do not allow them to be to eager." The Emperor said. "Eagerness leads to mistakes, what will show me their worth is following orders and staying alive."
"Your message will be relayed my Emperor." Bol'vak said, the rest of the walk was done in silence.
XXXX
I looked out at the army, my army, ready to rush out the door as soon as we landed. I had done some drills with them but this would be our first engagement with me leading and it was important, we were invading Wakanda to steal vibranium. I came this early in history because if they got to developed their vibranium weaponry would tear us to pieces, currently they have only been a united nation for a few months. I came here before bringing my army and used some Kino's to scout them out, I didn't want to lead my men into a slaughter if I could help it. I could have just stolen some vibranium then but this would be a moral booster for them and allow me to try my hand at commanding an army.
"Jaffa kree!" They snapped to attention, fist pounding into their breast plates as I spoke into the microphone. "As we speak our Ha'tak is landing in the nation of Wakanda, a race of warrior's like you yourselves. They hold a material more precious then naquadah, with it we will build weapons more powerful and armor capable of defending against even a Ma'tok staff with ease. We will enter their lands, we will defeat them and we will fill our Ha'tak to the brim with their vibranium ore before returning home." Several pounded their staffs into the ground. "We will show them that nothing will stop the Nova Empire from achieving their goals!"
"For the Empire!" Bol'vak yelled from beside me, his voice just reaching the mic but heard.
"For the Empire!" The army roared back, I walked away from the mic as the Jaffa all turned, ready to rush out the door.
"I want your honest opinion on the speech." I said to Bol'vak.
"Good, you told them why we are here and the for what." Bolvak answered. "Knowing the prize and how it benefits them will make them work harder, you could work on praising their skills more. Mention how they are powerful and fearless."
I nodded. "More praise but keep the mission goal part, your advice is noted."
"Thank you, my Emperor." Bol'vak replied.
"Where is..Hyvak..i believe, the Jaffa in charge of the Death Glider wing?" I asked him, he quickly scanned the area.
"There your Majesty." I turned to where he was pointing and saw the Jaffa I was looking for, a tall dark-skinned man with a tin build for a Jaffa. I was glad though he was learning to use Majesty instead of my Emperor every time he said something to me.
"Hyvak kree!" I hollered, the man and his companions quickly snapped to attention and when they saw me jogged over.
"Yes my Emperor?" Hyvak said with a quick salute.
"Are you and your wing ready?" I asked, looking the five other Jaffa over for signs of nerves or fear.
"We are your Majesty." He answered, the others nodding along.
"Good, stick to your orders, do not show off or attempt anything beyond them." I ordered. "Watch out for each other, return safely and carry out you mission."
"Yes my Emperor!" They all snapped another salute, I saluted back and moved on.
"Bol'vak inform the commanders of what I said earlier then meet me at the doors." I said to my First Prime.
"Yes your Majesty." He replied before moving into the ranks, I gave a smile at how efficient he was. When I start getting better military commanders I would make sure to find a place for him.
"Perhaps as head of my personal guard." I thought as I walked up the line of soldiers.
"My Emperor we will make landfall in moments." Ertin said over the comm. "As instructed, I did not cloak the ship, scans show the Wakandan's are forming up around where we will land."
"Thank you, Commander." I replied and with a burst of speed I appeared in my spot as the head of the army. It wasn't long before Bol'vak ran up to me and took his position on my right, seconds later I felt us touch down and the massive door start to open.
Together Bol'vak and I strode forward, ranks of men moved past us on both sides but they left plenty of room for us to walk. Wakanda was beautiful, a bit hot for my taste but I wasn't here to sight see so I focused. We had landed in a clearing that wasn't too far from the vibranium mine, across the valley were the Wakandan's taking position, with my enhanced sight I could see the first Black Panther pointing and issuing orders. This would be their first fight with a combined army so there would be some friction and problems, I was fortunate this was my opponents first command in his new capacity. Once both armies were formed up I saw the Black Panther and three others walked towards us. "Bol'vak with me." I said and moved forward.
The first Black Panther was powerful looking but instead of a suit he wore a skirt like outfit and had a bare chest, over his face he wore a crude vibranium cat mask. The other three men all wore similar outfits, minus the cat mask, but in different colors to represent their tribes. "Who are you to invade Wakanda?" The Black Panther asked, the Asuran's had input their language as best we knew it from recordings the Kino's took.
Bol'vak took a step forward. "This is Emperor Magnus of the Nova Empire, kneel before his might!" I smirked at him, I did not know he was going to do or say that, but I liked it.
"We will never kneel to invaders." One of the warriors said, he had green coloring to his outfit so I think he was with the River Tribe.
"You will find only death here." The Black Panther said. "Leave now while you can, our men out number you easily." It was true I would estimate they combine tribes had three thousand soldiers, were we had one thousand but technology was a game changer.
It was odd that none of them had the slight English accent like T'Challa but it made sense. "We have come for the vibranium, the ore that grows in your lands. We will not leave without it."
"Then you will die." The Black Panther said. "We will never hand over the sacred stone."
"Not even trade for it?" I asked, though I felt they wouldn't at least I could say I tried. "We have many resources of our own."
"The sacred stone belongs to Wakanda." He snapped back firmly. "You will never have it." With that he turned and marched back to his army, his fellow warriors quickly following him.
"So war it is." Bol'vak said and I nodded.
"So it would seem." I muttered. "Come Bol'vak, we can't let everyone have all the glory."
"Yes my Emperor." Bol'vak said as he followed after me, with a slight smile.
I reached up and hit my comm. "Hyvak prepare your wing, on my command fly out and attack the Wakandan's as we discussed."
"By your command my Emperor." Hyvak replied, as he did I saw the glider bay door opening.
Bol'vak and I returned to our spots and I looked out at the Wakandan's, they had shields raised and it seemed they would be playing defense first. "Hyvak, attack."
The noise of the Death Gliders filled the air, flying out one after another the wing, which was made of six gliders, took their attack routes. Three broke left and the other three went right, I watched the Wakandan's and focused more as they looked up in the sky. I don't know how they reacted when they saw my Ha'tak landing but now there was some fear, they were shifting back and forth while others ran away. The Death Gliders on the left arrived first and dove, firing into the defensive lines of the Wakandan's killing several and breaking them up. The left group went up as the right came in, aiming for the largest clusters of tribesmen to issue the most damage. The Wakandan's did fire arrows but I had already added solved that issue of the Death Gliders by installing canopies, eventually we would get better fighters but for now this was what we had.
"They are coming." I said to Bol'vak, it seemed they figured if they were mixed with us my gliders wouldn't fire. "Hyvak break off, check them mines and destroy any defenses."
"Yes my Emperor." The Wing Commander replied back.
"Jaffa kree!" I shouted to gain their attention. "Firing line!" My orders were reissued by others and quickly the Jaffa moved forward, the first row dropped to their bellies and activated their staffs. The second row took and knee while the last remained standing, basic formation I stole from the American Revolution but it would work in this situation. I watched as the Wakandan's ran at us, we had tested the effective range with this formation and when they were close enough I issued the command. "Fire!"
The gap between the armies was filled with plasma bolts, they ripped through the Wakandan's with ease though I think I might have seen a few pieces of vibranium armor taking the hits. It had slowed the charge but the Wankandan's were quick and agile so eventually they started to dodged and move forward. "Bol'vak you have command." I yelled at my First Prime, the Black Panther had arrived, and I was going to face him. He had not been slowed at all by the attack, easily seeing and moving around the plasma blasts, but had paused to instruct his army.
"Fight well Emperor!" Bol'vak said while looking at the battle scene. "Jaffa break formation, to martial combat!"
In the blink of an eye I was standing in front of the Black Panther, he flinched back as I appeared before dropping into a fighting stance. "You will not defeat us!" He shouted before attacking me, if I had not improved myself then I would easily have lost this fight but as it was I saw his attacks in slow motion. To keep appearances I waited to react, moving just a few moments before he would connect with an attack. I kept my strength in check, even considering he was an enhanced individual, just to keep the fight going longer. I was able to look around as we fought, at superspeed of course so I didn't get caught by the Wakandan King. My Jaffa were stronger and studier then the Wakandan's had expected and since most did not have vibranium weapons their primitive weapons did little to the Jaffa armor.
I kept the fight going for around ten minutes before I decided enough was enough and with a show of strength and speed I kicked his right leg, breaking it with a loud snap. "Ahhhh!" He yelled, but to his credit the man didn't fall and went of a punch, I easily grabbed his arm and then snapped it. "Gahh!" Another quick power kick snapped his other leg and he fell to the ground with a yell. "Surrender, there is no shame and your people will need you in the years to come."
"My King!" I looked right as two men charged us, spears raised and ready to attack.
"Hold." I yelled and quickly appeared behind the King, placing a knife I brought with me at his throat. "Or your King dies." The men skidded to a halt but didn't lower their weapons, I leaned down to the King's ear. "Surrender, surrender and allow us to leave with as much of your sacred stone as we can carry. If you do I will not harm another Wakandan unless we are attacked first."
He was breathing heavy, fighting back the pain of his broken limbs. "We surrender." He muttered.
"Louder, your people need to hear you." I said as I looked at the two me facing us.
"We surrender!" He shouted and while his men looked sad they began to lower their weapons. "N'Danni, K'Tesse tell the others, Wakanda has surrendered. So long as no harm comes to them they will stop attacking."
"Jaffa, hold!" I shouted after he issued his order. "The Wakandan's are surrendering, harm none who do but defend yourself if they attack!"
Slowly the sound of fighting died down, replaced instead with shouts of ceasefire and people moving back to their side of the battlefield. "Will you remove your blade?"
I looked down at the Wanakndan King. "To ensure your people agree to this surrender I will be taking you and your guards to get healed in our ship." I removed the knife but kept my hand on the back of his neck, both keeping him in place and upright.
"I have little choice but to accept." The Black Panther muttered, soon the two men who had tried to fight me returned. They looked annoyed I had yet to release their King. "Hold." He held up his hand. "We will be going with them, he says he will heal me."
"Bol'vak!" I yelled and soon I saw the glimmer form his golden tattoo moving towards me.
"Yes my Emperor?" He asked and looked between me and the Wakandan men.
"You will be watching these men as we heal their King." I informed him and hit my communicator. "Ertin, transport myself, the man in front of me, Bol'vak and the two men nearest us to the infirmary."
"Yes Emperor." I heard replied before the flash of light appeared and we were in the infirmary, the Wakandan's all looked around confused.
"Peace." I said firmly, drawing their attention. "444, I need you to heal this man, he has two broken legs and a broken arm." I lifted the King and placed him on a medical bed. "You will remain here, Bol'vak will rely anything you need to me." The First Prime saluted. "Once we have taken all the vibranium we need I will release you."
"My Emperor will his men allow us to gather the ore unmolested?" Bol'vak asked. "They may not take your word that he agreed to a surrender."
"N'Danni." The Black Panther said while removing his mask, showing a slightly scarred face underneath. "Return with the Emperor, just as his man watches me you will watch him. They will mine the stone until they have their fill, we have his word no one shall be harmed unless they attack."
"I understand my King." N'Danni replied with a bow of his head. "I shall relay your words." He looked to me and I nodded.
"Ertin, transport me and the man I am next to." I moved and put my hand on N'Danni's shoulder. "Back to the battlefield."
"Transporting now Emperor."
