I do not own any franchise included in my story.
The military was moving along well, the ones joining were being tested and put into the right spots while they trained. The armor and weapons were meeting all expectations and within a few weeks I would feel comfortable with setting out with them, of course problems always have to pop up when other things are going well. "How long can we last?"
"Supplies will last another month before we should start rationing." Morgan informed me. "After that we should last two months before the people start starving."
I sighed. "Alright, despite what s going on we will make a trip to gather supplies." I stood up. "The military needs to stay and continue training while I'm gone, contact Malekith, I should spend some time with them anyway."
"Understood, will you be taking Atlantis or on of their ships?" Morgan asked.
"Atlantis can hold more supplies so will take it." I answered. "The question is where to go." I muttered and thought.
"Somewhere advanced enough to have plentiful supplies but not enough technology to fight you." Morgan answered and I nodded to her in agreement.
"Where to pick, where to pick." I thought, eventually I planned to go to a Star Trek universe to get replicators and that would solve the food problem and others, but I wanted to wait on that. I wanted a stronger military to take with me when I went there, so for now I ruled it out. "What do I need that I can grab as well as food?" It took me a while to think of somewhere but eventually I settled on Grey's Anatomy, mainly because while I knew some info about the show, I never really watched it. I could go in, cause some chaos, steal some supplies and get out without having to look around and bring on new people. "Will be going to the Gray's Anatomy Universe, nothing there but supplies so it won't take more then a day."
"Understood, while I doubt you will be taking Princess Diana will anyone else be joining you?"
"Contact Natasha, the others can continue with their duties. No point in explaining why we're invading an Earth." I replied, Morgan nodded and then disappeared to complete the task while I went back to work.
XXXX Grey's Anatomy: Earth, 2019 XXXX
I wondered how Earth would deal with an alien invasion, what each countries reaction would be and how far they would go. I had Atlantis appear on top of New York, no warning just drop the cloak and we were there, causing mass panic in the streets. As food was our goal, I had the elves dropped into grocery stores, clearing them of people and securing them as we transported the contents, then we beamed them up again and moved to the next. With our range I didn't transport them into the same block or even within a few miles of each other, keeping the police guessing where we would appear. While there were attempts at communicating, I ignored all of them, which led to the military attacking us, but their missiles did nothing to our shields.
I was watching on the monitors for nuclear missiles, not for fear but just out of curiosity if they would risk it. After a few hours we had stolen the contents from several large grocery stores and I decided we would move on to another country, no need to let the U.S. feel special or targeted. We moved to Halifax Canada and began the process again, after a few stores I saw NATO and the governments of the world were on high alert and we were met with resistance, for what little good it did. London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Moscow, Beijing, Seoul, North Hamgyong, New Delhi, Tokyo and Brisbane were all looted before we left. While over Seoul we were hit by a nuke from the North Koreans, I took offence to it and made sure to deal some damage back while I invaded North Hamgyong.
The Dark Elves worked well and while they were offered little challenge the fact they got to cause panic and show their superiority made them happy. Their armor was more than enough to protect them from the guns and few explosives used, though grenades did affect them somewhat in the form on concussions. No one was killed or fatally injured though, so we were able to return home with our heads held high and they had some stories to tell to their peers.
Once we made it to orbit, I went to work on the Reagan family while the Asuran's we brought began sorting and cataloging the supplies, the first thing I did was alter their minds to make them think they all came willingly. Next, I fixed up Frank and Henry Reagan, I knocked of a couple years with the Time Stone and made sure they were in the best possible health for their age, the rest of the family was just checked over for their health and stayed the same age. Before we left, I made sure to wake them all and speak with them to ensure there was no problem with the memories. Luckily nothing was wrong and after a few days letting them enjoy being in space we made our way home.
XXXX Star Wars: Wild Space, 39 BBY XXXX
People were happy with the new supplies, I had the Asuran's change out labels so the few people who might recognize them wouldn't. After a month I had competent officers and NCO's to lead the men and they knew their equipment enough to survive and put up a fight, however I wasn't going to push them to hard. Asuran's sent out probes to monitor the planets we had found habitable and get more info on them for us, one planet was called Tanik by its inhabitants and they went by the Tanika.
"Attention!" Bol'vak said as I walked into the meeting room, he and the other now Generals saluted me.
"At ease." I called and took my seat. "We are all present?"
"Yes Emperor." Bol'vak answered.
"Good." I activated the holomap of Tanik, the planet had a large land mass roughly the size of Africa with four smaller masses that were closer to Australia's size. "Tanik is home of a race that is humanoid, their skin has a slight red hue to it but other than that we have no more information. The main land mass is divided into holdings watched over by a lord, each of the smaller islands is also ruled by a lord but only one is split between two." The maps crated lines to show the different holdings as we had found from their crude maps.
"Like the Goa'uld ruled planets they rule parts of land?" Riken surmised, more to himself then the room. "Are they greedy like them as well?"
"Yes, though the people are not as impoverished as the humans who lived under the Goa'uld." I answered. "They have just enough rights and freedom to not rise up against them and the Lords use some advanced technology, advanced to them at least, to help the people. The Lords have some greed in them of course but not enough to cause wars, just a few petty skirmishes. I will speak to them individually first, see who are keen on changing their ways."
"Those that do not agree will be removed yes?" Atok asked and I nodded. "All of their family or just the Lords?"
"Each will depend on how the families react to this news." I replied. "There technology is at a low level, they rely on steam to power their machine but have none for war. Their weapons are single shot pistols and rifles which only the armies have, their civilian forces carry swords, knives and bows."
"Then any resistance they offer will be useless." Bol'vak said with a nod.
"This will not be a mighty conquest but they all cannot be." I spoke looking at all of them. "This will be good practice for the men, build some confidence and be low risk so if they make mistakes in following orders it shouldn't lead to any terrible costs." They all nodded. "I highly doubt all the Lords will be agreeing to bend the knee to us, especially as doing so will remove their power."
"Greedy pigs." Muttered Chasuk.
"Indeed, though I do not want anyone slacking in this because it should be easy." I looked at all of them.
"Of course, Emperor." Bol'vak quickly answered. "We will convey the message through the ranks."
I nodded to him. "We will begin with the smaller islands, so I can get a better idea of how the people think and act." I commanded the map to highlight one of the islands. "We will start with the island split between to lords, Miccha. I will use a Ha'tak to visit them, the size is more easily dealt with then Atlantis. After those two I will move to the other islands and then inland, once everyone has been spoken to, we will take over the areas against us."
"What of the people my Emperor?" Riken asked. "What if they to do not wish for you to rule them?"
"After the Lords are taken care of, we will speak to the people and see what they decide." I answered though with the lords gone and promises of a better life I was betting we would get them to our side easily. "Once the targets are selected you will be in charge of deployment and strategy, I will be stepping back and only take over if we are somehow losing."
"We will not fail you Emperor." Bol'vak quickly said and the others agreed.
"I do not believe you will, this test is as much for the men as it is for you all." They all took a grim look and I was glad the message seemed to be hitting home. "I would like you to begin making plans for the small islands, incase we have to take them over, and then the large land mass." I stood up and began leaving, they all stood and saluted me as I left. I went back towards my lab to look over the data coming in from the probes, I didn't feel this was going to take long so I should start looking for our next target.
XXXX
Since the Asuran's had gone through the trouble of building my mansion I had moved all my lab equipment into it and started living there. I had made them build an underground bunker under the west wing of the building where I set everything up, all my systems from Atlantis had been moved her along with a large desk and computer setup that would be connected to our central system once it was running. We had lost more probes then I was hoping in the last month and even with the Asuran's were having trouble keeping up, mainly because of the lack of ships. We also had yet to find any of the races I knew were somewhere in Wild Space, which was disappointing but not surprising, the real disappointment was that we hadn't stumbled on a Republic world or one with info on them. I didn't want to be on their radar yet but needed to get some info on what was currently going on, plus I planned to send some Asuran's and the A.I.'s Huginn and Muninn to Coruscant for info.
"Your looking at the probe data….what a surprise." I looked up as Natasha walked down the steps into the lab.
"It's not going to sort itself and while the Asuran's have done a wonderful job in going through the data and organizing it they are not able to decide which are worth terraforming or might have something worth investigating." I replied and looked back at the screens. "How are your spies coming?" She shrugged as she moved behind me.
"Their coming along as well as can be assumed, no standouts yet but no ones a failure." She answered and looked over the four screens I had open. "Anything interesting?"
"Sadly, no but." I quickly changed one of the screens to show a star map of what we had found so far. "Were the blue dot in the middle, the green are the planets we have and the yellow are planets we will terraform." As the white dots changed to their corresponding colors it looked to be a scattered pattern. "Plenty of options and already each have a secure route to Novus Prime, eventually probes will be launched from each to find safe passage from every planet to another."
"Impressive." She replied. "You have been hard at work." Suddenly her hands fell to my shoulders and she started to message me.
"Hello?" I tensed only for a second, out of surprise, before relaxing and letting her continue, closing my eyes and leaning back into the chair. I was surprised she was being this forward, we had spent some time alone, but I didn't think it had been that successful.
"That would be my doing." I cracked an eye open and when I didn't see Morgan I knew she was speaking to just me through our connection. "You have been overworking yourself and have increased levels of stress, as sex is a good way to deal with stress and it is your ultimate end goal with her and other females, I expedited the process." She informed me. "She was physically attracted to you already and your time together was moving her closer to the point anyway, so I see no harm in it."
I was going to try to win her over on my own but couldn't blame Morgan's thought process. "You've been working to much and need a break." Natasha's hands moved off my shoulders and as I opened my eyes she swung onto my lap; my hands immediately went to her hips. "Any ideas on what you would like to do?" My eyes slowly went down her body before I looked up at her again. "I thought so." She reached up and slowly began unzipping her bodysuit, when suddenly I felt the pressure of someone trying to observe me. I quickly tapped into the stones powers and covered myself and Natasha, who had stopped when she saw my hand go up and covered in light. Unlike last time the probing to get through was more direct and rough, like a hammer beating against it to see past the shield. "This has to be Sidious." I thought and began to hit back with the Mind Stone, I hit a shield as well so I did the same as he was doing and slammed my power against it. I grinned as I felt the shield begin to crack and the presence quickly retreated.
"What just happened?" Natasha asked as I lowered my hand.
"Someone attempted to spy on us, I showed them that was not a good idea." I replied with a frown. "Cockblocking son of a bitch, now I'm definitely going to make him pay."
"So there gone?" I nodded to her and she grabbed my chin. "Good, now where were we?" I wasn't able to respond as she kissed me, and any annoyance at Sidious was gone as I focused on the sexy woman in my lap.
XXXX
As we descended towards Miccha I watched some screens where the Kino's we had cloaked were surveying the people. Once the large shadow cast by the Ha'tak covered their city they looked up and began to panic, the military were quick to grab their weapons and move to the edge of the city facing where we decided to land. They were still using the same types of formations from around the Revolutionary War, a line of men standing, kneeling and then prone. I had to inform Bol'vak they did in fact have cannons, which I missed as they were hidden inside a warehouse, as they wheeled those out and set them up. I of course wasn't worried yet as I could catch a cannon ball and toss it away or just take the hit if I needed to so as I moved out of the Ha'tak and towards the line I didn't hesitate. Bol'vak and four soldiers came out with me, Bol'vak still wore his advanced outfit but the other men all were in the new Mjolnir Suits, I had told Sif I used the name as an honor to Thor and she thought it acceptable.
"Weapons at the ready, fire on the Emperor's command only." Bol'vak ordered the men as we moved to the line of Tanika's.
"Yes Sir." The men replied back, and I heard the safeties click off.
"Think they will fire first then ask questions or hear us out?" I asked the General as we moved through the trees, not yet in sight of the men but with my vision I could see them. The were nervous, the barrels of most their guns shaking as we closed in, the fear apparent on all their faces.
"I believe some will fire out of fear, there is no clear path and when we brush through some will panic and fire." Bol'vak answered and I had to agree with his assessment. "Emperor while it would not matter please allow two men to go ahead of us."
I sighed but nodded. "I understand."
"Ishlo, Entir take the lead, they are likely to fire in fear do not retaliate." Bol'vak ordered and two of the men snapped off salutes before moving ahead a few feet. There was some brush but not a lot and as I saw it thinning out, we heard the crack of the flintlock rifles firing, it was odd to watch some of the bullets go by because until now everything else was so much faster. "Status?" Bol'vak barked.
"All is well General, some of their shots hit us but the armor stood strong." One of the men reported back. "Their commanders are yelling to stop the firing; it should be safe to approach."
"Good job, lets meet the locals." I moved forward through the brush and saw the men, some reloading while others still were aiming forward. As with their technology their uniforms reminded me of the clothing worn during Earth's 18th century, their military uniforms looked much like English ones but instead of res and white they were green with brown, their attempt at camouflage was impressive. The leader had a pin in his hat that was gold and looked like a bird of some kind, wasn't sure if it was a rank or a unit designation yet though. He tapped five men and moved towards us, even numbers was a good sign of neutrality and the weapons were held upwards, while ours were pointing down it was the same effect.
"I am First Commander Polderd Vix Rek, state your intentions for landing on our Lords lands." I gave him credit for being composed and speaking as if we had an even footing on each other. It was also odd to see the Tanika up close, the really did look like humans with sunburns.
"I am General Bol'vak of the Nova Empire." Bol'vak moved forward and in front of me. "I speak for Emperor Magnus of the Nova Empire; we have come to meet your Lord and offer our apologize for the sudden appearance, but you do not posse's technology where we could contact you before landing."
The First Commander nodded slightly. "This is a rather, strange occurrence and I believe we could overlook the suddenness of your arrival." He looked upwards. "Never have we seen someone descend from the heavens."
"Any panic caused to you and your people was unintentional and of course unfortunate." Bol'vak quickly said, I was impressed with his diplomacy skills and was going to tell him later.
"Understandable." He holstered his pistol and removed his hat, placing it over his chest and bowing. "Greetings Emperor Magnus, I welcome you to Miccha." His men adjusted their weapons and quickly saluted; their right hands went to their foreheads, but the back was turned outward to me. "I would be honored to escort you to meet Lord Kellind Jul Miccha, however protocol dictates no armed men may come with you." His men fidgeted behind him as he said it.
"Bol'vak surrender your weapons, report back to the ship men." Bol'vak still had his spear and a pistol with him but was quick to hand them to one of the men.
"Yes Emperor." The men snapped a salute, and one took Bol'vak's weapons before heading back to the ship in a jog.
"There is no problem with Bol'vak joining me is there?" I asked the leader, and he shook his head.
"No Emperor." Polderd said and turned around. "Escort formation!" The five men moved around us in a square with the last man behind me and the commander in front. "Forward March." Bol'vak and I matched their pace and we started towards the city. "Sergeant Commander Bri Jurvig you have command while I escort our guests to meet the Lord!" Polderd yelled as we moved through the line of soldiers, though I noticed he nodded to a man, who nodded back and ran off into the city.
"Aye First Commander." A man answered, I didn't bother looking at him as we passed though. Moving through the city I spied people looking out their windows, around corners and over stalls, all probably wondering what we were and what was happening. The city buildings were pretty tightly packed and there was a bit of an odor, I figured they hadn't worked out proper plumbing yet and were either using the streets or ditches. After a few minutes of walking a carriage came towards us with mounted men around it, they were on horse like creatures that were a muted yellow color.
"First Commander is all well?" One of the men called out as the came to a halt.
Poldred saluted. "Yes, First Major, I present General Bol'vak of the Nova Empire and his leader Emperor Magnus of the Nova Empire." He gestured to us. "They have come down from the heavens and wish to speak with our Lord, as per protocol they carry no weapons."
The First Major dismounted and returned the salute and removed his hat and bowed. "Welcome guests, I am First Major Pele Ind Nirris, I have been sent to escort you to our Lord." He gestured to the carriage and one of the men driving it hopped down to open it.
"I appreciate it." I turned to the First Commander. "Thank you for the escort First Commander."
"It was my pleasure Emperor." Polderd replied with a salute.
Bol'vak and I climbed into the carriage, I gestured for him to sit next to me as I saw the First Major moving to climb in behind him. "I hope I do not insult you by joining you?"
"Not at all First Major." I answered and he smiled.
"Thank you, I hope I am not rude in asking but we have never heard the term Emperor and I wondered what that entailed? Is it a rank or are you the leader of your people?" Pele asked as he pulled out a roll of parchment, or something similar to it, a quill and small vial of a black substance I believed to be ink.
"The Emperor leads all of the Nova Empire." Bol'vak answered. "Every citizen is under his command be their military of civilian."
"So, of similar rank to our Lord." Pele said as he wrote.
"The Empire is far larger than your land." Bol'vak said, causing the man to look up. "The Nova Empire is made of four planets currently."
"Planets…you mean he leads four places like Tanik? All of the lands on it?" Pele asked with wide eyes.
"Correct though not all of the planets have your same population." I said.
"Heavens." Pele muttered but quickly wrote. "And obviously you may move through the heavens, how long does it take to go from one world to another?"
"In the time it has taken to land on Miccha to now I could travel to any of my worlds." I answered, though not entirely true, and Pele shook his head in wonder.
"Incredible." He whispered. "Is Emperor the only way to address you or should we be using something different?"
"Emperor or Your Majesty are acceptable." I answered him and he made another note, he questioned us for a few more minutes until we finally reached the Lord's castle and were let out. While the guards were all standing at attention I could see and hear several people in the area observing us. The First Major led us through a large set of double doors and then down some halls to a nice room, he asked we wait while he speaks with the Lord before we meet.
I inspected the room carefully before switching to x-ray vison, I wasn't surprised when I found hidden rooms behind the walls with men in them. They were listening for now but had pistols and rifles ready to attack if need be, the rooms were hidden with painting so not to show the gaps in the walls. Nodding I took a seat and waited, which lasted around ten minutes before the door opened and the First major along with another man walked in. He was dressed in wealthy looking clothing and was defiantly the fattest person I had seen so far, not grotesquely but more than enough that his stomach dropped over his pants some. His hair was black and his face a bit redder than most I had seen, possibly due to the situation or him coming her from where I assumed, he was hidden away. I stood as they entered. "Emperor Magnus, allow me the pleasure of introducing Lord Kellind Jul Miccha."
"Lord Miccha." I gave him a slight nod while Bol'vak did a more respectable bow, which I had told him to do over the nanites.
"Emperor Magnus."Kellind returned the nod. "Welcome to Tanik, it is an honor to be the first to welcome you." I decided no tot point out I had been welcomed already. "Please sit, sit." He motioned back to the couch I sat on and moved to a chair across from me.
"Thank you for your welcoming words, I know it must have been frightening to see our ship suddenly land in you home." I said as I sat. "As I said to your officers, we apologize but had no way to communicate with you and had to resort to that method."
"Yes, it was quite a fright, my poor wife fainted but no harm done and as you say you had no way of letting us know." He replied with a smile. "Such amazing technology, I say plenty have dreamed of flying through the sky, but none thought of the heavens as a place one could travel through." He chuckled. "But, and I hope I am not rude in asking, why have you come here?"
"Your First Major has told you I am the ruler of an Empire correct? One spanning several worlds like your own?" I asked, he gulped but nodded to me. "I have come her to see if anyone has interest in joining the Nova Empire." I could hear the hidden men draw their guns and place them in the hidden slots in the walls, ready to fire if need be.
"What do we have to offer your Empire?" Kellind asked. "We are obviously far behind you in technology, I would assume that is the same for other things as well." He sat back.
"You are but so have been other planets, even ones that can travel the heavens like I can are behind us." I answered him. "People is the answer, bringing in new people helps spark new ideas and new things in the Empire. While you may be behind today but years from now after learning and catching up to us intellectually the Tanika could create advances I cannot think of."
"You plan to educate everyone?" I nodded to him and he frowned slightly. "Surely not all, the Lords and their families, perhaps some of the successful merchants and officers families but not everyone has the ability to learn at such a high level."
"I believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn, some will achieve more than others from what they learn but everyone should have the chance." He was reacting how I assumed he would. "Of course, we will also supply free medication, along with basic housing and food."
"Then what will the merchants do? The carpenters and masons?" He still was frowning. "They have spent their lives building themselves up and you will just take away their lively hood?"
"Basic food and housing." I stressed. "Those who want more will still need to buy so no one will be effected too much."
He huffed. "And what is to become of me and my family, do I lose all my privileges and rights?"
"I would be the leader, but we still need someone here making sure all the laws are followed and peace is kept." I answered him. "You would lose some of your power yes but is that not worth all the possible things I can bring to your world."
"But do you need all the Lords for this?" He asked and narrowed his eyes. "Would not one or a small handful not be able to do this with better technology?"
"Possible, it will all depend on who agrees and who does not." That caused him to look confused. "I plan to meet with every Lord to see who are actually interested in joining, any who do will be brought into the Empire. Any who don't will not be." Because they would be dead was left unsaid.
Kellind sat back and nodded to himself, I saw his lips twitch as he spoke to himself and weighed what I said. I activated the Mind Stone and read his mind, as I thought he wanted the technology but not to lose power or have to bow to someone else. With the idea someone might accept the deal he thought he could trade, steal or buy technology from them and not have to join me. "This is of course a lot to take in, perhaps I could take some time to think?"
"Of course." I said and stood up. "I shall have someone deliver more information on what joining the Nova Empire would mean for you and your people. While I meet the other Lords you look it over and speak with anyone you must, I will return after meeting the others and giving them the same information."
"Excellent, and no matter what it was a joy to meet you." He gave me a nod. "And I if you find anything you might desire you allow the option for me to trade with you?"
"Of course." I nodded back to him.
"I shall have the carriage return you." He offered and while I could carry Bol'vak faster I didn't want to show off my powers yet.
"I appreciate that, it was a pleasure Lord Kellind."
"Agreed Emperor Magnus." He replied and I turned to leave, communicating with Bol'vak not to say anything until we returned to the ship.
XXXX
Each meeting went almost exactly the same, the Lords wanted the advancements without losing their power and thought to trick me. The problem was none of them were working with each other so no one was planning to accept the deal so the others could try to sponge off them. While I went about meeting all the Lords Natasha had the Kino's move through the cities picking up the peoples thoughts and comments. After Miccha Natasha suggested that we have the Jaffa stay around and speak to any soldiers that were around, loudly, about what our purpose here was, this of course would be heard and spread around. It worked perfectly, I took my time visiting and moving around to give her time to truly see how what the people wanted and as we thought they all wanted the chance to become more then they were. The whispers of food, medicine, housing and education excited them and while the Lords tried to suppress it even their soldiers, those who were not Officers or well off, were against them.
Small riots started as Lord after Lord denied joining me, but I made sure not to look upset or offended, promising to look more into possible trade goods. I never told the other Lords who did or did not join me, with their primitive form of communications they wouldn't know no one accepted until I had left the planet.
"So, what is our plan of attack?" After leaving the planet we meet in the briefing room to see what the Jaffa Generals had come up with. Diana and Natasha had joined us as well, Diana at first was against the plan but Natasha had invited her to see what the people thought of their leaders and me. A little manipulation also made her understand the need to kill off the Lords and anyone else who might rebel against the Empire when we took control, I was slowly turning her mindset back to a true Amazon's.
Bol'vak stood and activated the holomap of the planet. "We will first deploy onto the islands, gaining control of them and establishing a foothold on the planet." The red islands changed to blue. "Next we will drop into the middle of the mainland." A red dot appeared in the middle. "We will work outward from there, anyone fleeing will move to the shores hoping to flee to the islands."
"With no idea they are already under our control." Diana said with a nod. "However, will you note be spread to thin by this plan?"
"It is possible but as the Tanika will not have any arial support we can make up for the lower manpower with our ships." Bol'vak answered and I nodded, a single Ha'tak could probably takeover this whole planet. "Thanks to Lady Romanoff's work we know the people are for the Empire, we hope as word spreads of our conquest the people will rebel against their Lords. This should allow us to move less men to certain areas."
"We found the people responsible for organizing and starting the riots, I want to meet with them when we start and see if we can get a rebellion going in the outer areas." Natasha said as she looked over the map. "This would help and start the trust building, plus this will allow us to choose icons for the people to follow and get behind." I nodded at the idea.
"I assume you will want weapons and supplies for this?" She nodded to me. "Alright, Bol'vak do we have any old Jaffa armor and weapons?"
"I believe we do down in the training halls." Bol'vak said after a moment of thought.
"Good, the weapons and armor will be easier to figure out and train then the new ones." And if a Lord got ahold of any of it, they still wouldn't be a threat to us. "Let's get that created up and ready to transport to where Natasha needs it." I looked around. "Riken you shall work with Natasha, speak with her later on how many men you shall need."
"Yes Emperor." Riken replied and I looked back at the map.
"A good plan, I think it will work out well but be prepared for problems."
"We have men selected to wait on Atlantis so they can be transported to assist." Bol'vak quickly answered.
"Good." I pointed at the map. "Start at Miccha, you may begin when you're ready."
XXXX
The people of Miccha had been in a frenzy since the visitors from the heavens came to them, many saw the two strong looking stranger walking through the city before being taken in a carriage to the Lord. They heard the rumors later, how they had some to see if they would join them and if they did, they would gain knowledge, medicines, homes and food. The people wanted it but the soldiers and servants spread the news of the Lord denying it, not wanting to give up his land and control of them, and their displeasure grew. A few brave souls complained loudly in the streets, their faces covered in clothes so as not to be recognized and punished but they spoke up, others painted words of dissent on the walls, but none took credit for them.
Several days passed after the second visit and then one day when the sun began to rise, and people began to start their days a noise filled the air and the people looked up. The sky was filled with small ships that rained bright lights down on the city, which caused explosions as the hit structures, and panic ensued. More large ships like the one the first visitors came in landed and men in armor poured out of them, they soldiers tried to stop them, but their weapons were useless, and the stranger's weapons tore through them like they were paper. The people were scared and hid in their homes, they were quick to notice no one entered as they heard the weapons fire, a few of the braver citizens looked outside and saw the visiting soldiers were only dealing with people who resisted. A few soldiers surrendered quickly and were taken away but unharmed, while freighted it gave some hope that they would not be killed.
Almost as suddenly as the fighting had begone the noise ended; the invaders called out informing them that so long as they stayed in their homes no harm would come to them. Another voice soon called out what was happening, how the Emperor of the Nova Empire had seen through the Lords hidden greed, how he had chosen himself over them and denied them the choice to improve their lives. The Emperor was had heard their opinions, heard their whispers and angry comments at the Lord, and come to free them from his oppression. By midday word came from them that people would be coming to speak with them, they spoke to everyone and asked what they truly wanted and answered all the questions they had. They asked for volunteers, people who were trusted in the city and could truly speak for them all not just for themselves. Names were given and close to nightfall the people heard familiar voice telling them what the Emperor was promising for their loyalty and cooperation, told them how the Lord had been killed while trying to flee with as much of his riches as possible and leave them to fend for themselves. The city was not under the protection of the Nova Empire.

Natasha watched from under her cloak, the invasion was going just as planned and she had come down to Zerels to start her operations. Word had spread faster then they had predicted, people fleeing for their lives would move quicker and with less care for safety. As such many of the outer lands were already prepared for the soldier coming towards them, so she was here to kick start the rebellions. Mallon Wen Illak was her target, he was a low-class officer in the military that came from a merchant family, though not one of large prominence so he did not have connections. He was a good leader but he cared for the people and was slow to act under orders of assaulting or causing problems to them when it was un warranted. He had several men who trusted him as well and they were loyal from what she could find so she used the transporter to drop him a message to meet, he had come alone but not unarmed as instructed so she gave him credit for not being to trusting. "No one move unless I give the order." Natasha whispered over the comm link to the hidden unit with her and deactivated her cloak, getting confirmations from them as she did. "Hello Mallon, or should I address you as Secondary Commander?"
He was quick to pull his pistol and aim at her. "Who are you?" He asked and as she moved into the moonlight lowered his gun slightly. "A woman, and one of the Nova Empires people."
"Natasha Romanoff and yes I come from the Empire, im hear to offer you a deal." She stopped moving, not because she was worried but to put him at ease.
"A deal?" He asked. "You invade our world and offer me a deal?" He let out a hollow chuckle. "Why should I not just kill you here or arrest you?"
"Because you know your world is already lost." She answered. "You may not be high up in the military but you know what's happening everywhere, how little resistance your people are offering." He frowned.
"That may be true, but I will not bow down to your invasion, we will fight to the last." His words were proud, but Natasha heard the defeat in them.
"You would fight for an oppressive Lord and culture?" She asked. "Fight as your Lord, rich merchant and high-ranking officer move to ships to flee?"
"It is my duty." He snapped at her.
"No, your duty should be to protect the people and that's what im offering." Natasha shout back. "What you aren't hearing from your leaders is that we are only killing those who resist us, most of your civilians are fine and happy to learn they are now under the protect of the Empire." She smiled. "I know you've heard what the people really want and how your Lord denied us because of his greed."
A few moments passed and he lowered his gun. "I know he denied the offer because he would lose power and I do know the people want to believe the things offered are true but how can we trust you, you who have invaded our home because we denied to join you?"
"A fair question." Natasha turned. "Bring them out." She looked back to Mallon as the soldiers dropped their cloaks and walked forward carrying boxes and crates. Mallon had raised his pistol again and moved it between them thinking this was an attack but didn't fire as he noticed they didn't have their weapons drawn. "This is a sign of trust." One of the men placed a crate next to her and then pulled out a flash light so Mallon could see better, she ripped off the top. "Food rations as we know the Lord has been loading most of the cities supplies on his ship." She moved to smaller box. "Medical supplies for the sick, there are clear instructions for you healers to read that explain what it all does and what to use for what." Mallon lowered the gun and moved to look at the items, seeing they were in fact what she said.
"And what is the cost of all of this?" He asked with a frown.
Natasha moved to a large crate and opened it, inside was a supply of Ma'Tok staff weapons. "These are weapons." She picked one up and aimed it at a tree, firing and creating a huge hole in it. "We can show you how to use them, and in that crate is armor." She pointed and a soldier quickly opened it and pulled out a chest plate. "It will stop your weapons easily, not a cannon of course but pistols and rifles will be of no use." She looked at mallon who was still staring wide eyed at the tree, she snapped to get his attention. "What we want is for you to use these things and more that we will deliver to take control of the city, arrest or kill the Lord and anyone who might cause a problem. That way our soldier don't have to come in and cause massive damage and possibly kill civilians as collateral damage."
"…..why me?" He asked quietly. "There are far more influential…"
"You may be a low-class officer, but you have the trust of several soldiers, your family has a good reputation among the people and are fair in their dealings." Natasha cut him off. "You also disagree with your Lords decision and want what is best for not just the people of this city but also the planet."
"How do you know all of this?" He asked perplexed.
She smirked at him. "We are the Nova Empire; we know far more then you can imagine. So, do we have a deal?"
Mallon looked around, stopping on the rations and medical supplies. "I….I…need time to think on this."
"Okay." Natasha expected this. "Leave the medical supplies and rations, will be back in two days for your answer." The soldiers were quick to pack it all up again and move back to their transport point. "No matter what you decide we will do our best to not cause the people harm."
