Jade's POV:
I angrily shoved some of my shirts into an empty suitcase. All my personal hygiene supplies were already in my black duffle bag. But why was I packing? It was because I was moving out. My family was definitely not the family that you live with in your dreams. It was the family that you lived with in your nightmares. And this nightmare had been my life ever since I was born. I was fed up with my trainwreck of a family, so I had decided to pack my things and find an apartment or something. All I needed was just to get away, to have some alone time. I wasn't going to go to a friend's house and just move in. For once, I was going to make decisions for myself and live by my own rules. I then continued to grab some of my clothes and stuff everything into a suitcase.
Sam's POV:
The sun was rising as I rode on my motorcycle. There was barely anyone driving at 5 in the morning. It was a miracle I was even up this early. I figured I would go to Inside Out Burger so I could get something to eat. I took a left turn and pulled into the Inside Out Burger parking lot. I pulled out my phone to see where I was. Los Angeles, California. Great, this is where all the stupid celebrities live, I thought to myself. My stomach made a weird growling noise, which was my signal that I was really hungry. I pulled up to the drive thru and heard a peppy, cheerleader-like voice say: "Good morning and welcome to Inside Out Burger! I'm Jessica, what can I get for you today?" Her voice made me sick, but I just ordered. "Hi, can I just get a breakfast burrito and a medium root beer? Actually make that a large" "Got it! That'll be $3.16 at the next window!" "Yeah, thanks" I pulled up to the window and gave the money to the girl at the window, who I assumed was Jessica. She had long, straight hair that was brown, and had hazel eyes. "How is your morning so far?" Yep. Definitely her. I was really not in the mood to talk to anyone, so I just said I was doing okay. She handed me my drink, and a small bag. I drove off before she could say anything else to me. I turned out of the parking lot and I was on the road again.
Jade's POV:
"Jade, please don't leave!" I heard my mom, who was standing in the doorway of my bedroom, say in a caring voice. I just ignored her. If I was going to be leaving, I was basically cutting her out of my life. And what do you do when you are cutting someone out of your life? You don't interact with them. So that's exactly what I did. "I know that your father will be upset to hear that his daughter left while he was at work." I just continued to grab my belongings and put them into bags. "I know this isn't the ideal life that a kid your age, or any age, would want." I couldn't take it anymore. "Wow, what a big shocker!" I yelled "I would've never thought that a kid wouldn't want to live in a house with constant screaming and fighting, a house where you hide when dad comes home instead of running up to him and hugging him, a house where you feel like you have no control, a house that is just horrible!" I felt a tear roll down my cheek. "Oh honey, don't cry!" My mom started to walk towards me, opening up her arms to give me a hug. "Don't touch me! Don't come near me! Don't even talk to me!" I screamed. I saw that my mom was actually starting to look worried. But I wouldn't let it bother me. I was leaving her, and that was that.
