Disclaimer; I do not own fairy tail or any of it's characters Hiro Mashima does...I only own the idea to my own made up storyline for the characters haha.

A/N This chapter has been edited to improve the story and fix any mistakes that were about. Also a big shout out to Naruko Kina Tiger-chan for all their help on this chapter, believe me if it wasn't for them I think I'd still be stuck on what to do with this part of the story!

*Wendy's p.o.v*

I smiled and waved to Cana as she raised her mug of beer to me and Romeo, I blushed and hid behind his shoulder a small bit. Romeo grinned and patted my head, leading me away towards the drinks. Cana laughed and continued to drink with Bacchus, happily trying to get each other as drunk as they could before passing out.

"Hey you two," Levy walked over with Gajeel on her arm. "Having fun?" She smiled. Although Gajeel-San seemed more irritated by the party. I nodded shyly and let Romeo answer for me. "Sure are!" I wasn't used to the kind of attention everyone was giving us. However, Romeo loved it, and his happiness made me smile. But as I looked at Levy and Gajeel, I noticed just how many people were starting to come together as couples now in Fairy Tail, everyone is paired up in a way… Well, most people.

"Take care of her, got it Brat?" Gajeel glared at Romeo, acting as if he were my father giving my boyfriend a warning like, 'Hurt my daughter and I'll kill you,' type of thing. I giggled quietly, touched by Gajeel's concern. He could be a big softy when he wanted too.

"Of course." Romeo nodded before we parted from the other couple. I waved to Levy and followed Romeo, staying close to his side.

"What drink would you like?" Romeo asked me as we came up to the refreshment table, that Lisanna had set up especially for those who didn't wish to consume alcohol tonight or, as in our case, were too young too. Actually I could drink alcohol if I wanted to due to the tenrojima incident, but didn't think any bar tender would believe my ID and I didn't like the stuff. That one time I'd had it with the girls at that resort had put me off the yucky liquid for life.

"I don't mind," I smiled and looked at all the drinks that were laid out in front of us. They varied in colour and I hoped they tasted as good as they looked. I was drawn towards a red concoction and hoped it might taste of strawberries or cherries. Strawberries would be better as that was my favourite flavour.

"Look, Natsu-Nii's arrived!" I looked over to see the pink haired mage walking through the door, returning smiles and waves to people. But as soon as his eyes turned to see Lucy on the dance floor with Sting his smile vanished. He clenched his fists tightly by his side and looked very angry. Forgetting about the drinks I grabbed Romeo by the wrist and pulled him with me as I made my way over to the Fire Dragon Slayer. With my free hand I grabbed Natsu's shoulder before he began to stomp forwards to the dance floor and ruin the party for everyone. He turned back to look at me in surprise.

"Wendy?" He looked at me and then to Romeo before smiling. "Congratulations on getting together you two." He didn't sound sincere but at least he was making an effort, which I was grateful for.

"Let's sit down, Natsu-San." I suggested. He nodded and walked to a free table. We followed him and I sat down across from him, my back to the dance floor. Looking back, that probably wasn't the best thing.

"We were about to get drinks. Do you want one?" Romeo asked before sitting down.

"Yeah," Natsu nodded. "Any is fine."

"Okay," Romeo looked to me and grinned. "I'll be back in a minute then. You talk to him about that whole thing, okay?" I was worried that I might not be able to get the point across to Natsu on my own but I nodded. "Okay."

"What thing?" Natsu asked inquisitively. I shuffled around a bit and looked to my elder dragon slayer.

"Just… Don't destroy the party." I said as I looked around at the fun that was going on around us.

"Of course I won't," he rolled his eyes in response. I thought for a moment and I couldn't think of the best way to continue with "The talk." We'd agreed Natsu needed.

"Why did you get angry before, when you were looking at Lucy and Sting?" I may as well get straight to the point.

"She's my partner," he stated without really thinking about it.

"Compare your feelings for her against your feelings for Erza, or me." I shrugged and leaned closer to him, my hair brushing over my face and into my line of sight.

"I guess... I'm a little more protective of her. But I'd still kill anyone who tried to hurt you or Erza!" I could just imagine him saying "I'm getting fired up," at the end of the sentence. Luckily he didn't.

"We know that, but don't you think you'd be saddened in a different way if Lucy were to be taken from you?" I raised my hand and tucked my hair behind my ear. I didn't want to overstep my boundaries but I knew this talk had to be done and nobody else seemed willing to have it.

"I suppose." He admitted and shrunk into his chair. "But she's up there having fun with Sting." He glared past me at the two of them, dancing with each other. I looked behind my shoulder to see Lisanna, Lucy and Sting, they were doing rather intimate dance moves between themselves. I blushed and turned back to Natsu-san. His eyes were locked on them, his teeth were grinding together as he clenched his fists.

"Calm down, Natsu-San. Remember what you said about not destroying the party!" He glared down at me, his eyes were wide and anger was creasing his face.

"Look at them! His hands are all over her." He growled, he seemed to have lost all reasoning. Before I could stop him Natsu jumped onto the table and pounced onto the dance floor. I spun quickly and tried to grab onto his scarf but missed. Romeo was on his way back from drinks and caught me before I fell over the back of the chair. "Thanks," I blushed.

"It's fine." His eyes didn't look at me long, they were too busy watching Natsu-san as he threw a fiery fist into Sting's face. So much for not being interested in Lucy-san as more than a friend.

I watched as Lisanna and Lucy jumped backwards to avoid a face full of flames themselves, boy did Natsu-san know how to wreck a party or what? I sighed watching as the two male dragon's started a fist fight on the dance floor. I turned to look at Lucy-San and Lisanna-San, they looked furious. Oh dear, this was not going to go well at all.

*Lisanna's p.o.v*

"What the hell, Natsu." I ground out from between clenched teeth, looking to my right to make sure Lucy was unharmed...Luckily she was, she just seemed to be mad as hell! She had every reason to be too, this guy was unbelievable first he leads her on, then asks another girl out in front of her eyes...but not just any girl but me, one of her closest friends, and now he'd gone and started a fist fight with her dance partner and ruined her good mood and my party. He had crossed the line!

"You okay, Lis?" Bixlow called out to me, as he jogged over with Laxus by his side.

No I was most certainly not okay, my party was close to ruined!

"Oi, Natsu!" Laxus bellowed, causing everybody to freeze in place at the menace we could feel radiating off of his large body. I'd forgotten how intimidating the pseudo-dragon slayer could be. This was why Bixlow was so scared of him.

"Aye," Natsu yelped, bolting away from his fellow fighter, spinning around in a state of panic. He was most likely expecting to find Erza standing over him ready to beat him to death, but upon finding that it was not Erza but Laxus he immediately reinflated and entered battle mode. This elicited several snickers, including one from Lucy.

"What do you want?" Natsu challenged, flames starting to appear around his fists once again. If those two fight here my party will well and truly be ruined!

"Knock it off." Laxus stated firmly, sparks starting to cackle in the air. Oh goodness, here it comes! I looked between the two taking in the tense atmosphere as I did so, wondering how on earthland this was going to end peacefully.

"Don't even think about it!"

I turned my head to the side in shock to see a red faced huffing Lucy, staring daggers at her teammate. Guess that answers my question of how this scene was going to end. With a Lucy kick if Natsu didn't tread carefully.

"Lucy.." Natsu started off, before shutting up as the glare intensified.

"Apologize right now!" She demanded, her glare not once breaking from Natsu's. If I didn't know better I'd say it was a lovers quarrel, I mean the tension between the two was so thick you could taste it. But I knew better.

"But why?" Natsu whined. Obviously he doesn't see anything wrong with wrecking a perfectly good party and the possible setting up plans I had for later once everybody had had enough to drink.

"Why? Why you ask?" I huffed, crossing my arms under my chest as I pouted off to the side. He really was impossibly inconsiderate at times.

"Because you're ruining the party!" Lucy replied. I'd never seen her like this before, it's almost as if she was a different person...was this scary Lucy that Happy often talked about?

"I was defending you was all," Natsu huffed, crossing his own arms and pouting. I quickly dropped my own pose that looked similar to his, that was just too embarrassing to think about right now. I turned to see Lucy's eyes take on a weird glint in them before she stalked right up to Natsu and grabbed his scarf.

"I think we need to talk." She hissed dragging a frightened looking Salamander away. Where's a camera when you need it? I mean to see the oh so mighty fire dragon slayer afraid of a girl other than Erza, was hilarious and needed picture documentation...

"Did she say they need to talk?" I asked a baffled Bixlow.

"I do believe so," He replied nodding his head. Laxus nodded too but there was something off about his face, it looked almost like his jaw was clenched.

"Let's follow them." I said, following the direction Lucy and Natsu had just taken. "Are you coming or not?" I demanded giving Bixlow a stare that said 'if you know what's good for you you'll come along'.

"Aye sir." He quickly caught up to my side before motioning for Laxus to come too.

"Fine," He growled sauntering over, as we set out to eavesdrop on what was hopefully going to be a fruitful conversation. Though I hoped it wouldn't be too fruitful, Lucy had other suitors in the works, that she had yet to find out about.
