*Lisanna's p.o.v*

"Go away," I groaned pulling the covers up over my head in an attempt to block out the person nudging me. I was quite comfortable where I was and didn't want waking!

"Come on now, grumpy Gus." An all too familiar voice chuckled, from the world beyond my duvet.

Damn you Bixlow! I cursed internally, before finally giving into the dream crushing crusader and pulled the cover down just far enough so I could poke my head out.

"I dun wanna!" I stuck my tongue out before trying to once again retreat under my warm blanket. It was far too early to be getting up yet.

"Who does." He replied, sitting down on the edge of the bed and pulling the sheets back so that I couldn't hide anymore.

"Hey!" I protested sitting up faster than I should have. Suddenly a pounding sensation sprang up in my head and I desperately clung to my forehead with one hand to try and stop it from splitting in two, while I used the other hand to steady myself, as I felt like I might fall off the bed. "Urg my head!"

"Here you go," My boyfriend said, handing me a glass of water and two aspirin.

"Thanks," I accepted both items gladly and chugged them down. When I went to place the glass down on my bedside I finally noticed that I wasn't actually in my own bed. But it did look extremely familiar, I just couldn't put my finger on it in my current fuzzy headed state. "Um, where am I?"

"You're welcome," He smiled warmly at me, which caused a small blush to creep onto my cheeks. "And to answer your question: You're in the infirmary. And to answer the next question your about to ask: I carried you in last night after you passed out."

I stared at the man in wonder, it was scary how easily he could read me at times. But also highly impressive. "Thanks."

"No worries, Baby." My boyfriend grinned pulling me into a hug, that I happily returned. "It's all in a guys work to take care of his lady."

I giggled softly in his arms, as I took in the feel of his warm arms and let myself be comforted by the smell of his cologne. The soothingness of the embrace started to help curb the pounding pain in my head...This may well become my new hangover cure. (Author: Um...Lisanna that may be the painkillers kicking in. Lisanna: *not listening at all* Author: *facepalms* why do I bother.)

"So you feeling hungry? Do you want to go and get some food?" Bixlow whispered in my ear as he stroked his palm gently up and down my back. I almost missed his soft words as a hazy calmness washed over me desperately trying to lure me back to sleep. How could just one simple action of his have me feeling so relaxed and at peace.

"Not just yet," I murmured in reply, burrowing my head into his chest even more than it already was. "Can we just stay here like this for a little longer?"

"Sure." He chuckled. The sound of his chuckle resounded in his chest sounding even deeper than normal and caused yet another wave of love for him to crash over me. He really was the perfect man for me.

I don't know how long we stayed like that, quite frankly I didn't really care. I was too happy absorbed in our own little bubble of bliss. It felt like time had stopped for us as we just enjoyed our quiet embrace. I'd always wanted a relationship like this, where words weren't always needed, where myself and my partner could just be happy to spend time together without speaking, and that's exactly what I had with Bixlow. Sure we enjoyed talking to each other, telling stories of how our days had gone or just chatting about trivial things, but at the same time we could just cuddle up and enjoy each others presence without the need to utter even a single breath in verbal communication.

"Sorry to intrude." I heard a sheepish voice mumble from the door way. I was torn between ignoring the owner of the voice and staying exactly were I currently was, or answering and pulling away from Bixlow's arms. The latter choice didn't seem as appealing to me somehow.

"Nah, it's okay we were just getting ready to leave anyway." Bixlow replied to the owner of the voice, who sounded like Wendy to me. I didn't move an inch as I heard the young healer potter around the infirmary and then exit.

"Do we have to go?" I pouted into his broad chest. I knew I sounded like a whinging child but in all honesty I wished Bixlow had carried me back to his place last night so that we didn't have to bother worrying about anybody else and we could just lay in bed all day and ignore the world.

"Yeah, I think we do," He patted my back one last time before removing his arms from my torso and pushing me back. "It's past noon already."

"Past noon." That startled me into sitting bold upright and blinking in bewilderment. "But it surely can't be that late in the day already?"

" 'Fraid so sweetheart." He nodded, as he got up off the bed. "It was 12 when I came to wake you up."

"Bugger!" I swore jumping out of bed. Bixlow telling me the time had reminded me that I'd promised to clean up the after affects of the previous nights party, so that Mira-nee didn't need to bother herself with coming in today, work wise I mean.

"I already tidied the guild hall, if that's what you're panicking over." Bixlow said nonchalantly, handing me my sneakers, top and shorts that I'd left in Mira's office the night before. Which I gladly accepted, before pulling off my dress from the party and pulling them on, feeling much more comfortable as I did so. Wait what?

"You did?" I raised an eyebrow at the soul mage. It was hard for me to believe that he'd cleaned up for me. I mean I'd been in his apartment before...messy was an understatement!

"Used some of my babies to clean up when I woke up this morning so that nobody had to exert themselves today." He brushed it off as if it was nothing, as he set himself down in the chair that was stationed next to the bed I was currently occupying. "No big deal."

In fact it was a huge deal, especially for him. Maybe it was the lingering alcohol in my system or something else, but just hearing how Bixlow had gone out of his way to make my life easier and tidied for me, brought tears to my eyes. I walked over to him without saying a word and cupped his face in my hands and slowly moved my mouth over his and placed a tender loving kiss on his lips.

"Thank you." I breathed, as our lips parted and I took in the startled look on his usually cocky face. See I can surprise you too.

"If that's the thanks I get, I'll clean up more often." He coughed turning his head to the side in a futile attempt to hide the blush that was currently gracing his cheeks. If only I had a camera, this was an adorable scene that I so wanted to preserve for years to come.

"Kawaii," I squealed, no longer able to contain my excitement at his adorableness.

"Shut up." The man grumbled swatting at me playfully.

"Make me," I teased, sticking my tongue out at him before turning on my heels and rushing towards the door. I knew full well Bixlow would accept the challenge, so getting a head start would make it more fun.

"Oh I will." I heard from behind me as I exited the infirmary and continued to head towards the stairs. It didn't take him long before he caught up to me, grabbed hold of my waist and picked me up. Shrieking in delight, I couldn't help the beaming smile that spread over my face. Sure some people would accuse us of being juvenile but if you couldn't be playful from time to time, then where was the joy in life?

"Do you two mind." Growled a rather hungover looking Laxus, who was stood in the entrance to his office.

"Whoops, sorry." I giggled, as Bixlow dropped me back to the ground.

"Didn't mean to wake you, Laxus." My boyfriend, and Laxus's teammate, apologized to the disheveled pseudo lightning dragon. He didn't reply merely slammed the door and presumably returned to his couch for some more sleep. Most would accuse him of being rude but here at fairy tail we were all so accustomed to the different range of hangover moods that each member possessed that it didn't really matter. We knew that they weren't usually like that...well unless it was the Laxus of ages past, but let's not go there.

"Brunch?" Bixlow whispered to me, in an attempt to not bother the hungover dragon slayer anymore than we already had.

"Sounds wonderful." I beamed as I took hold of his hand, and began the descent into the main guild hall with him by my side.

*Later that day*

"Mira." I called out to my sister as I saw her enter Fairy Tail. It had been a quiet day, seeing as most of the members were still recovering from the festivities, so I'd spent the day just chatting with the members who were cognitively able enough to interact with me. Turned out most of us had fallen asleep in the hall, as per usual, when we had a party. With the exception of Lucy, Levy and Gajeel. Juvia and Gray were still currently absent from the guild. I wonder why? ;)

"Shhh." Several members scolded me for being so loud. Whoops.

"Hey, Lisanna." She smiled sweetly at me, making her way over to where I was sat across from Lucy.

"So what did you think of last night?" I couldn't keep the question bottled up inside anymore. I'd be dying to talk to my sibling about the events of last night since I'd gotten downstairs earlier on.

"It was amazing on so many levels." She purred with stars in her eyes. Well she was probably biased on two counts, one: She'd been proposed too, and two: a lot of our hard work with prospective couples had paid off.

"Any good engagement presents yet?" I chuckled cryptically, which caused Lucy to scrunch her eyebrows together in confusion.

"But she won't have gotten any yet.." Lucy mused out loud. Ah the poor girl had no clue what Mira or I saw as being an engagement gift.

"I'd say most of the events from last night had to be some of the best engagement presents ever!" Mira stated, getting the meaning behind my cryptic question. "But seeing Gray confessing like that to Juvia, would be the best. I mean it was almost like a scene from Lucy's novel."

"Agreed! Who knew Gray could be so romantic." Lucy added with a wistful look on her face, her previous confusion forgotten about. "Then again he does keep stealing peeks at my latest works, maybe that's how he's gotten to be so romantic."

"Maybe you're right." Mira and I said at the same time, which caused us all to burst out in giggles.

I looked at my blonde friend as our giggles died down and remembered the events of last night, I'd have to say the most concerning part was seeing her and Natsu kiss, it had filled me with worry. I hadn't meant for the pair of them to get caught in that particular trap, and seeing the reaction that had happened made me think it could be a good or bad thing. But I really did not want the blonde I considered one of my closest friends to get her heart broken again. I wanted to find her a partner who would cherish her and not as Laxus had said 'treat her like a back up plan.

"urhhhgggg."

I glanced around trying to find the source of the groan, when I spotted, what appeared to be, a pink head of hair, which could only belong to Natsu, think of the devil. Though the fact it was stationed in Lucy's lap made me tilt my head in confusion. It hit me for a fraction of a second though how could I have missed this fact, when I'd basically been sat talking to the blonde for 2 hours, but I brushed it off due to tiredness. A quiet descended on the guild then as we all seemed to be lost in our own thoughts.

"Would you stop being such a muscle head!" An all to familiar voice yelled out, followed by a resounding thwak. Ouch that one must have hurt.

"Would you stop acting like such a man!" Replied my older brother. "You're more manly than me at times."

"Oh god," I face palmed. I was sure that after what had happened last night, they would have been a little more friendly towards each other. Guess I'd been wrong!

"They're at it again." Groaned Lucy. I looked at her and we both broke out into a smile. Great minds and all that.

"Stop acting like an old married couple." Natsu yelled out to the bickering pair raising up from his previous position, before wincing in pain, flopping backwards and burying his head back in Lucy's lap. How much did he drink last night?

"We're not married." They shouted back, before look at each other and winking. "Yet."

This caused Lucy and me to widen our eyes in shock. Maybe last night had moved things along considerably between the two. Remind me to thank Laxus later for his interfering.

"Hey Lu-chan." Levy called making her way towards us a giant grin on her face. As she should after what I saw last night she definitely should be grinning from ear to ear.

"Urrgggg." Natsu groaned again, hefted himself off of Lucy's lap and started wobbling towards the stairs. He must have been trying to avoid what he assumed to be more incoming noise. I looked to Lucy to see how she felt about the departure, to see her with a weird expression plastered on her face. It wasn't one I think I'd ever seen on her face before, and it seemed to be like she was lost in internal thought. Whatever was troubling her seemed to be a big deal, so I decided to let her come to me about it and not force it out of the poor girl before she was ready.

"How are you guys?" Levy giggled as she sat down at our table. Lucy seemed to jump at the words before a smile returned to her face, wow she must of been really lost in thought.

"I'm great." I beamed at the solid script mage. "And from what I saw last night you must be on cloud nine."

"Whaaaa." Levy's face exploded into the deepest crimson at my comment. "You were spying on me?!"

"It was my fault Levy-chan." Lucy mumbled apologetically. "I happened to see you two on my way into the guild last night and might have told Lis."

"Oh I see." Levy replied, her face starting to return to a normal shade. "Well that takes some of the fun out of filling you guys in."

"No it doesn't." We both chorused. Leaning in to the smaller woman with our best give us the scoop looks. We needed all the details and we needed them now!

"Well okay..." Our friend began.

*Bixlow's P.O.V*

I'd absent mindedly been watching Lisanna as she's been sucked into conversation with her friends and something had struck me as odd. The cheerleader hadn't seemed her usual self at all, even though she had a smile on her face it didn't reach her eyes and her souls color was a cloudy murky one. That usually meant that the person was experiencing a great deal of turmoil or conflicting feelings about something important to them. Normally she had a vibrant pink coloured soul, so it was worrying to say the least. It also peaked my curiosity immensely, because not once in all the time I'd known her had it ever changed from a healthy color to a dark one. Not even when she'd been beaten or terrified, so now I really had to figure it out.

I had reasons for wanting to help the blonde girl out but if I was being honest they were mainly selfish ones. I mean she was my girlfriends close friend and my teammate's secret crush. Though I doubted you could call it secret as he had blurted it out to me last night once he had gotten royally smashed. Couldn't blame him for his over drinking last night, he had witnessed something no one wanted to see if they harbored feelings for the person in question.

"She should be mine. He doesn't deserve her."

Remembering Laxus' word from the early hours of the morning caused my chest to catch a little. It wasn't far that we'd made him bare witness to that scene and I would have to find a way to sincerely apologize. Seeing Lucy get up from her seat gave me a devious idea. I shot out of my own and rushed over to the celestial mage.

"Yo Cheerleader you going someplace?" I chuckled rolling my tongue out. I didn't want to come across suspicious so tried to keep my usual level of seriousness about me, which was none.

"Oh, Hey Bixlow." She smiled at me weakly. "I was just going to head upstairs to see if Laxus was in his office."

So she was already going in the direction I wanted her too that was great news. "Why? Ya need him for something?"

"Just need to ask him something." She replied, her face falling and her soul turning an even darker shade of murky. Wow so Laxus was part of the reason for this drastic change in the normally bubbly girl. "Do you know if he's in?"

"He's in alright." I grimaced remembering the events from this morning. "But he'll probably still be asleep."

"Ah I see...he did get pretty out of it last night" The girl turned around dejected and started heading back towards the table she's just left. No no no that wasn't what I wanted to happen.

"Oi wait," I called out to the retreating figure of the blonde. "Come with me."

She cocked her head around to me, slightly startled at my outburst, but didn't question my command and just made her way back to my side. I saw Lisanna turn her baby blues towards us as she heard my cry. I just gave her a wink to let her know it wasn't anything nefarious I was doing and started off towards the kitchen. Laxus could be a really grouch when he had a hangover but I doubted he'd be able to be mean to the one that held his affections.

"Um Bixlow what are we doing?" Lucy questioned as we'd entered the kitchen and I'd instantly gone about making up a tray filled with hangover releaving goodies.

"Well Mr Crabby pants, hasn't been seen since lunchtime and I highly doubt he'll have even had a drink today let alone food." I mused adding an extra glass of water to the mix. With how much he'd drank at the party, water would be needed by the bucket load. "So I'm sending him a hangover angel."

"What?" Lucy gasped at me causing me to chuckle.

"You heard me Cheerleader." I shoved the tray into her arms and turned her body to face the door. Giving her a finally push to get her butt moving in the direction I wanted it to too. "Now get!"
