Tuesday September 8th grade 12 day one
After school
"Sam how do you ask out a girl" asks Cat
"trust me if I knew I'd tell ya Cat, it's been four since I've seen Carly and all I do is think about those eyes of hers but she won't return my texts, Freddie somehow manages to get a response and he says she's not doing well, anyway why do you ask, who do you like" says Sam
"this girl named Tori Vega, she's cute, smart, funny and I've been one of her closest friend for three years, I don't think she likes girls though, maybe I should try and date guys, it's been two years since I tried maybe I'll like it this time" says Cat
"Cat stop thinking like that, I mean I know it's you being you but maybe this Tori girl is in the same situation as you, maybe she's also afraid you don't like girls, or maybe you should ask Jade out, she does wear the pride beads on her shoes" says Sam
"nuh uh Jade's taken, I'll do the bead thing and see if Tori notices" says Cat
At school the next day
"uh ok wow Cat never expected you to be that type" says Jade
"the beady type, why not I'm crafty" says Cat scared
"oh by the way the beads are backwards" says Jade
"phooey I knew I'd screw something up, anyway do you know if Tori swings my way" says Cat
"that's actually not a surprise given how close you two are but that's kinda pushing the boundaries there Cat" says Jade
"can you ask please, I have to prep for class" says Cat as she scurries off to her locker as Tori greets Jade
"hey Jade, what's Cat so nervous about, she never scurries like that" asks Tori
"she wanted to have me ask you if you'd eat tacos with her" says Jade
"like Taco tacos or like me tacos" asks Tori
"so you do know then" asks Jade
"I mean Trina has been trying to tell me all summer that Cat likes girls but I don't believe it, it's too un-Cat like, plus Sam freaks me out" says Tori
"oh get this, remember Ponny, aka fawn lebowits, she's Sam's cousin" says Jade
"and here I thought Sam was bad, do you really think Cat is gay" asks Tori
"why you gonna say no" asks Jade
"I never said that Jade, it's just I don't know where I stand on the matter, I wouldn't want to go on a date with Cat only to let her down if I realize girls aren't for me" says Tori as Sam walks over
"hey guys Cat was so flustered she forgot her lunch, any chance you can keep it safe for her" says Sam
"can you confirm for us she likes girls" asks Tori
"I can however can you guys find out what's going on with Carly, she won't answer my texts" says Sam as Jade takes Cat's lunch and puts it in her locker
"last I heard her phone was compromised and she had to block everyone so nothing got leaked, why do you want me to tell her something" says Tori
"I like her" says Sam
"ok I'll let her know….,how does one know they're gay" states Tori
"what do you think about Cat and kissing" asks Sam
"I mean I'd assume she's good at it" says Tori
"trust me she's not, she constantly complains that guys never made out with her, only ever kissed her, she's deadly scared to talk to you Tori, especially when it comes to crushes, please I beg you Tori at least think about it" says Sam as she leaves
At lunch
"hey Cat can we talk" asks Tori
"oh no this is never good, I'm not your friend anymore am I" asks Cat
"I wish people would stop putting words in my mouth, Sam told me you like me, I want to know what your idea of a date would be, however I need you to know that I don't actually know if I swing that way, I've never actually thought about it because school is hard enough and if I opened that can of worms and found out I'm not bi or gay and rumors spread of a date I went on with a girl I'm afraid I'd be mocked" says Tori
"thanks for being upfront about that Tori, my idea of a perfect first date would be dinner and a movie at my place and cuddles, Sam makes this amazing spaghetti sauce and she said if I ever needed someone to cook for a date she'd help out, I don't exactly make a lot of money at work" says Cat
"I thought you babysat with Sam, also why didn't you tell her you're in contact with Carly, would be a lot easier don't you think" says Tori
"someone spread a rumor we didn't feed the kids despite spending money on food for them daily so we had to shut down that thing, also Carly specifically asked me not to tell Sam, not my fault she can't look Sam in the eye and tell her the truth" says Cat
"Cat you have to tell her she's back in the states" says Tori
"and what tell her Carly's homeless, ya right" says Cat
"Catarina Grace Valentine if I agree to a date with you, if you don't tell her I will" says Tori as Jade walks over
"hey Cat, Sam brought your lunch this morning, said you forgot it" says Jade
"Sam's good like that, you have a deal Tori, tonight after school my place, please wear a cute dress" says Cat
"Kay" says Tori
Date night
"ooh I can't believe Tori actually agreed to it, I'm in heaven" says Cat getting dreamy eyed
"keep in mind Cat she still has to show up" says Sam as Cat's phone goes off
"she just pulled into the parking lot Sam geez stop being such a downer" says Cat as Tori knocks on the door
"come in it's open" says Cat as Tori walks in in a beautiful dress
"ok wow I never expected you to show up" says Sam
"sorry I'm late, Jade had to make a stop to pick someone special up" says Tori as she whistles and Carly walks in
"why isn't she looking at me" asks Sam
"because she was in a fight last week at the soup kitchen I work at, a girl didn't like that a generous man gave her that pretty dress, Carly threw a few good punches but she lost, my parents agreed to put some money in for hospital bills for her, she can speak but she has a stutter now" says Cat
"why bring her here" asks Sam
"because she likes you too Sam, I offered to buy her something other than a dress and she refused, said she wanted to look pretty for you" says Tori
"how long have you been homeless Carly" asks Sam
"s-s-si-x-x m-months" stutters Carly
"why has she been here six months and not be with Spencer in San Diego" asks Sam
"Spencer's missing Sam, he didn't pay rent two months in a row and the building manager emptied the apartment, Mrs. Benson managed to save almost everything but the moment Carly entered the building she was charged with trespassing, Mrs. Benson paid her bail but before she could offer Carly some of her clothes back Carly was gone" says Cat
"since when does miss "hate on Carly" Benson care about Carly" asks Sam
"quite simple actually, she wasn't hating on Carly at all, she was doing exactly what she was doing to Freddie, being motherly, she admits she went a little far but she always dreamed of caring for a daughter" says Cat
"so what this is like a double date then" asks Sam
"yes, I've made Cat very clear on the situation I'm in, that I might not ask for a second date and she told me she wouldn't hold it against me, also I figured it'd be less awkward if you weren't just making food for us" says Tori
Date ends
"I'm sorry Cat I'm just not feeling it, I'm really sorry" says Tori
"that's ok Tori thanks for trying" say Cat as Tori smiles and leaves
"see I thought it went well, she was engaged and having fun, what went wrong" says Sam confused
"t-there's s-s-something w-w-we don't k-k-know" says Carly as she winces
"is there anyway to help get rid of Carly's stutter, it's clearly causing her pain" asks Sam
"massage her jaw, she's supposed to be doing it daily but she refuses, says it makes her look ugly" says Cat as Sam massages Carly's jaw
"ok like ow maybe not so hard baby" says Carly
"how did that work, I don't know of any conditions that work like that" asks Sam
"it's called PNS also known as Pinched Nerve Syndrome, the punch I got to the face last week wasn't the first nor the last I got, I'll explain later but basically I dislocated my jaw and the doctor when he fixed it in Italy pinched a nerve so now my jaw does all kinds of stupid things" says Carly
