1 month later(December 7th)
"oh my god Trina I had the best time last night. I never thought I'd have fun in a pediatric cancer ward, you do that for a living?" asks Jade
"yeah I mean I figured I've taken enough happiness from the world and I needed to give back, I get a grand a week and I do an hour a day with them, I found out I wanted kids by reading this girl a story, she cuddled up to me, she was six Jade" says Trina
"wait was six…, she didn't make it?" asks Jade crying
"yeah, she was the most up-beat patient in there, if a nurse started crying over the death of a patient, she'd give them a hug and tell them they are fine that they're in a better place, that it was just their time and that the doctors didn't do anything wrong" says Trina
"did she ever tell you anything you won't forget" asks Jade
"oh hell ya, the first time I met her she said 'it can't be easy for them, taking care of us then going home knowing we're still in pain', I told the head nurse there that and her jaw dropped, the nurse said 'she took as much care of us as we did for her, we had no idea she knew what she was doing was helping us', the day she passed her mom came in and when I told her what her daughter did to help the nurses she cried, saying that she taught her daughter to treat others with love but that you can tell your kids to do things but it doesn't mean they listen, I told her mom there wasn't a day I knew her where I didn't smile, she thanked me and said 'I was so afraid she'd succumb to the pain, I'm so glad she spent her last two months bringing happiness to the world', honestly kinda reminded me of tori when she was little" says Trina
"yeah to be fair Tori's Spanish is really sexy, I've never heard such smooth Spanish before" says Jade
"that's what you get when you mainly speak Spanish for the first eleven years of your life" says Trina

"she's in a prissy mood today" states Jade
"my pharmacist is almost finished her schooling to become a doctor and she said if Tori's identity cracked enough then she becomes susceptible to a personality disorder where basically she picks up on subtle personality traits of people around her" says Cat
"wait that's a thing" asks Trina
"yup my brother has it, basically the trigger only has to happen once, my mom yelled at my brother when we were little because he dropped the soap bottle and it broke and covered the kitchen floor in soap so now no matter how calm he is, hell if he says 'mom I want a hug' he has no choice but to yell it, he literally yells everything when it's just him and my mom but the moment I walk in the room he gets like Mega girly, runs his left hand through his hair and bites his pinky nail like I do" says Cat
"so who was she portraying, it really could have been either one of us" says Jade
"both of you, honestly it's pretty spot on, the annoyed eye roll and groan of Trina and the laser focus of Jade" says Cat
"what's she do around you" asks Trina
"it's not so much a personality trait and more of how I held myself when she picked up on it, I was speaking Italian, I was admiring her hair, her eyes and gushing about how amazing her lips felt on mine" says Cat
"so she spoke Italian then" asks Trina
"God no, she can't speak Italian to save her life, she did try but if she were in Italy they'd assume she sells naked electric toys for female pleasure if she spoke Italian, obviously she speaks Spanish or English with a sexy Spanish accent" says Cat
"is there any like really bad issues with such a condition" asks Trina
"pissing off people who feel they're entitled to everything, mild paranoia, risk of schizophrenia, severe Bipolar Disorder and that's about it" says Cat

"no I don't call them that, that's disrespectful to people named Karen who are nice, I call them significa persone maleducate" says Cat
"mean rude people, really Cat that's such a you way to insult people, what are the chances Tori develops one of the worse conditions" says Trina
"lower risk than my brother, he was born with the damn thing, he developed variable paranoia, chances are she will be just fine though my pharmacist says we should be careful and monitor her health anyway which I will do" says Cat
"how can we help" asks Jade
"help out around the house, unless she asks to do a specific chore do as many as you can, I know she loves doing laundry, the swishing and swooshing of the water and the tumbling of the clothes help her zone out and allows her to think" says Cat
"you know you're a lot smarter than you let on Cat" says Trina
"there's a lot you guys don't know about me, my family including my extended family owns the safest cruise company in the world, they give most of the stock money to their employees" says Cat
"we really need to get your parents on your side on this, you shouldn't have had to buy all new clothes, I'm gonna go talk to them" says Jade
"no God please don't" pleads Cat

"I'm sorry Jade but she's neither grown up enough nor ready for what she wants" says Mrs. Valentine
"you guys clearly were not ready for kids then, you clearly never understood your daughter either then because she has many times pulled Tori back from the brink of suicide in the past three weeks alone, if she's not ready for a relationship then you only have yourself to blame for not preparing her, if she's not grown up enough it's because you let society tell her she's not allowed to be herself" says Jade
"what are you saying" asks Mr. Valentine
"I'm fricking saying if she was kidnapped tomorrow you wouldn't blink a fricking eye because all you've done is shown her that her fricking brother means more to you than she does, it was your responsibility to raise her not ours, stop blaming her for YOUR failures" says Jade
"did your parents do the same we did….?" asks Mrs. Valentine
"my parents were worse, they caused my mental instability, the meds they let my doctor prescribe made me worse, then my doctor suggested medical grade weed, I had to at least try it since the meds made me nuts, I had to take a loan out so my parents didn't find out, my mom then found me smoking and they disowned me" says Jade
"how did they cause your mental issues, I'm not trying to be rude I'm curious to see if my wife and I made similar mistakes with Cat" asks Mr. Valentine
"they said I wasn't allowed to like girls, I wasn't allowed to be friends with people who had "dark skin" like African Americans, Chinese Americans or Japanese Americans, along with like a hundred restrictions on what I could or couldn't do with my body, I bent over backwards to try and comply, what finally cracked me was when I was thirteen and found out I was bi, mom found me playing with myself which was against the rules but also I was saying a girls name, my mom went nuts, took my phone and laptop away, told my friends to stop talking to me, because of them I have manic depression and severe anxiety" says Jade
"any advice" asks Mrs. Valentine
"any time you took something away from her without reason or cause when she needed it, whether it be food, attention or love or even tech you hurt her" says Jade
"we'd take away her tech when she's supposed to be studying, we thought we were helping" says Mr. Valentine
"that explains a lot, one thing I've noticed is she is actually really smart, I noticed she types absolutely everything down, whether it be relevant or not then she picks out the relevant information, I was impressed at the organization, after she was done her homework I asked her to humor me and redo it but write it down by hand, she'd get two or three letters in then have to write the next line for the next thought, I only made her do it for five minutes and she'd attempted to write down five hundred thoughts, she can't process each thought fast enough if she has to write it down" says Jade
"we had no idea, we really thought we were helping" says Mr. Valentine
"by making sure Brian didn't hurt her, I understand however by solely focusing on him you left her feeling like she didn't deserve your love" says Jade
"he's paranoid about everything yet she trusts him so easily, is it our fault we thought we were protecting her" says Mrs. Valentine
"it may not have been intentional neglect but it's neglect all the same, did it ever occur to you that because you let her believe dumb Cat is who she is, that maybe he was paranoid that Cat was being sexually abused, because most girls who feel they have to act dumb because people expect that of them are often victims of abuse, maybe she said something out of context on the phone with one of us not realizing he was listening, Trina took me to the pediatric cancer ward last night where she reads stories to kids with cancer, I was explaining Trina was my girlfriend to the doctor she works for and I didn't realize someone was listening so when I greeted him he started listing all these things about lesbian relationships, some of which I didn't even know girls did together, all solely based on the fact I told the doctor I was Trina's girlfriend and he heard that" says Jade
"so you think she was talking about something on the phone with one of you and Brian heard and took it out of context" asks Mrs. Valentine
"most likely, she has on several occasions this year told me her brother may be nuts sometimes but she'd trust him with her life in a pinch, so my guess is she felt comfortable telling him she was bi before she would have ever told you guys and all she'd have to do to get him to keep it a secret is word it in a way so he'd be paranoid about telling anyone" says Jade
"wow we messed up big time huh, she'll probably never trust us now" says Mr. Valentine
"never say never, you guys are still her parents, she was so proud of you and her extended family for running that cruise company and sharing a portion of the market value share money with your employees" says Jade
"we started it because while she will fly she gets scared, even if she's tired on the plane she will stay up the whole ride out of fear, I think the only time she was offline on social media while on a plane was the trip you guys took to yerba and how she cuddled you and specifically Tori which to be frank probably should have told us her sexuality had we been willing to pay attention, does she want her share of the cruise company money" says Mr. Valentine
"given she's working at a homeless soup kitchen for minimum wage because the government refuses to pay for more than that for the people who work them ya a little money buffer would help yes, especially because you threw out her old clothes so she had to go and buy ones that aren't comfortable because she can't afford anything better, you failed her till now, she still regards you guys highly, it's time to make a difference in her life while she still respects you so that she can continue to respect you" says Jade
