I wish I owned DBZ, but I don't. I own DVD's and tapes, but it just isn't the same. Nor do I own any legal imprinting of whatever theme I'm using, such as a crossover with another anime, movie or TV series. Did I think it up? Yes. Was I the first to think it up? Probably not, but I digress. I also don't own the rights to any of the music pieces you see selected, just the merchandise, such a shame. The artists that created them are geniuses and we all must bow to them.
Chapter 26: Axis of Evil
"Well, it has been far too long, Saiyan. I hardly recognized you from last time. But that look in your eye, that I remember all too well," Frost declared as he completely stepped out of Soren's portal.
To Verto, Frost looked almost exactly the same, except for the artificial eye. It was Verto's energy sword that had destroyed the original, and it was not likely a scar the evil Ice Demon would forgive him for easily. Next to Frost, two smaller beings came out. One was the blue Lieutenant Buro, whom Verto remembered for his yellow fur and mustache. The other was a newcomer and was even smaller than Verto was. He was also blue with a matching scouter and a round head that was mostly covered by his black and green armor. He had a big black nose, and also appeared to be wearing a red skirt that hung down to his feet. Verto sensed no substantial power about him but considering how close he had positioned himself to Frost, he could only assume that he was a high ranking official. A few dozen feet away on Frost's left and to Verto's right, another portal closed, revealing the pirate Bojack and his crew. Nothing about them physically had changed, except the missing crew members. Gokua the swordsman had died during the previous encounter. The other missing henchman, Bido, had been killed by the Renegade Chal. The rest of them: Zangya, and Bujin, along with Bojack, were all smirks and laughing slightly at the impending situation. Verto also detected that they might have higher energy levels than before, but it was difficult to tell. To Frost's right, Verto noticed Captain Miruk, who resembled Captain Ginyu almost to a T, except for his skin color was blue and not purple. He also detected a much higher power within Miruk than he had previously.
"So, Frost I presume? What are all these misfits, friends of yours?" Piccolo asked.
Frost's smirk remained firm, "Quite correct Namekian. The boy knows nearly everybody here, save a few, so some introductions are in order. You already know Bojack and his team, well what's left of them. They are still rather sore about what happened with Gokua and Bido, but they don't blame the girl. You also know Captain Miruk, myself and Lieutenant Burotsuno. This other strapping fellow is Sorbet, commander of my father's army in the Third Stellar Region. He has been in my father's army longer than I have been alive believe it or not and has been quite helpful in recruiting others to our cause, like the team of six behind you." Verto's eyes shifted to his side but he did not turn around. Despite all the dangerous figures around him, he didn't dare turn away from the strongest one.
"Come now Saiyan, that is just rude. I want you to meet my team of special warlords, they have an interesting story, much like yourself. And after the damage you did to Lord Frost's home world, they all want to meet you," Sorbet laughed. Verto's response was his eyes turning from blue to red, which was quickly noticed by all parties. Sorbet didn't know what to make of this, but it was impossible to ignore his scouter showing numbers going in the up direction.
"Three hundred million and climbing? How is this possible?!" Sorbet said in shock.
Frost was undeterred by this, "That is not unexpected Commander. Calm yourself Saiyan, this is just a formality. What do you think the odds are of you and the Namekian escaping? You're a smart boy, you know what is about to happen. I won't tell you to trust me kid, we both know that you shouldn't. But I will allow you to see these newcomers first before we all take turns ripping you to pieces." Verto eyed Piccolo who nodded before turning to see the new soldiers. He could tell that their power was not what an average Frieza soldier would be, but they weren't emitting any energy levels that scared him either.
Sorbet cleared his throat, "There is a legend in my region of space of six brothers who were all exceptional warriors of their planet, which was ravaged by conflict for hundreds of years, not unlike the Saiyans. During their travels to find a way to stop wars, they had stumbled upon an ancient power stone that was said to grant the user unbelievable powers. The six brothers didn't want to fight over the stone, so they split it into six parts evenly. They became the warlords you see today, as the stones changed them for all time, granting them elemental abilities and control of nature herself! The six of them banded together to end the planet's conflicts, and in doing so created a new kingdom in which they divided the planet into various nations of influence and ruled them until a new challenge presented itself. Working for Lord Frieza and now Lord Frost, they can single handedly take on even the strongest of warriors and subdue planets. I dare say they put the Ginyu Force to shame!"
Piccolo grimaced slightly, "A clown car could put them to shame."
Sorbet was incensed, "Silence Namekian! You have no idea what power our warriors possess!"
Verto turned back to the small commander, "So what is this rainbow scout troop called? Ginyu Version Two?"
Sorbet, still shaking in anger, "They are the Kihon Corps! Their names in order from left to right are Blizzare, Lavare, Sandare, Metare, Lightare, and Mudare."
Verto snorted lightly, "Led by someone named after what, ice cream? Can I take a guess that their names might be a hint at what they're abilities are? Or are they as pathetic as you?" This sent Sorbet into an incoherent bout of yelling and screaming, which annoyed pretty much everyone present.
Next to the multicolored newcomers, Kaon felt the need to lean on Torev in an affectionate manner, "Isn't it glorious, Lover? He's finally going to pay for what he did to us." Torev scowled but said nothing for the moment.
"Overkill if you ask me," Wheelo claimed.
Kaon frowned, "Oh come now Doctor, even you should appreciate seeing your nemesis go down in flames. Our powerful new allies will overwhelm him, and then we can move on to the rest of his friends. Victory is at hand; you can't turn your nose at that!"
Kochin grinned as he leaned against his cane, "She is right Doctor Wheelo, this is what we have been waiting for all this time."
Wheelo finally smiled, "I admit, perhaps I am being a bit too pessimistic here. I have seen that little runt escape too many times to think otherwise, and this seems just a little too easy."
Nightmare!
(Now your nightmare comes to life)
Torev stepped forward as his teeth clenched, "I can't wait anymore! He's mine!" He suddenly charged forward, turning Super Saiyan as he did, and startling all of the soldiers nearby. Frost scowled slightly as this but made no motion against it. Verto spun and braced for impact, which came in the form of the two of them locking hands and straining against each other. Bursts of energy and lightning shot out from them, forcing Piccolo backwards as they clashed. Torev grunted in anger as he started to gain the upper hand, but then stared at Verto and relaxed. He completely backed off in surprise, staring his own hands and then back at Verto, who was just as surprised at the outcome.
"Lord Torev, is something wrong?" Buro asked.
Frost frowned as he folded his arms, "Yes, do tell."
Torev glanced up at him before dropping his arms, powering down, and turning on his heel, "He's all yours to play with. Bloody waste of my time." Torev retreated to where Kaon was standing, though virtually everyone was stunned at the turn of events.
"What was that all about?" Piccolo whispered.
Verto shrugged but assumed a fighting stance as he faced Frost again, "Hell if I know." Frost, still wary of the sudden outburst by Torev, was also not sure of what they had just witnessed.
"Perhaps Lord Torev is still tired from their battle before," Sorbet suggested.
Frost eyed the literal dark clone of Verto as he walked back to where Kaon was, "Perhaps he is. Perhaps he lost his nerve just now. Or perhaps he remembered his place and that it is my turn against this Saiyan brat. Hard to tell but, my soldiers, you might want to give us sufficient space." Sorbet and Lt. Buro scrambled to get away from Frost as his bright pink aura appeared around him. Verto turned back to Frost and assumed a fighting stance, as did Piccolo.
Dragged ya down below
Down to the devil's show
To be his guest forever
Peace of mind is less than never
"Shall I have our warriors play with the Namekian?" Sorbet asked from further away.
Frost smirked, "What would be the fun in that? None of you will interfere without my say, I would like to squash these bugs myself."
Piccolo stretched his neck slightly before dropping into a power-up stance, "You would be a fool to underestimate us." Both Piccolo and Verto began powering up at the same time, with Piccolo's aura white and Verto's red. Numerous scouters all went off at once, and most of the soldiers wearing them proceeded to back off even further out of fear. The combined output between Piccolo energy release and Verto's rage caused the ground to tremble, sending anyone who wasn't ready for it tumbling. This included Wheelo and Kochin, though Torev and Kaon remained stationary.
"Perhaps I should have taken his excess Psionic energy away while I had the chance. As fun as it would be to see him go down at his best, we shouldn't be losing any troops," Kaon suggested.
Torev shook his head, "No, don't bother. This fight won't last long enough if Frost is even half as strong as he appears to be. Although..."
Kaon stared at him, "What is it lover?"
Torev grimaced, "I don't know, something just seems off about Goody-Two-Shoes today. Probably nothing, aside from how weak his energy feels right now." Frost's confidence faded slightly as teacher and student finished powering up before him but held their position.
"Astounding. The Namekian is at three-hundred and fifty million! That far exceeds any Namekian in recorded history. The Saiyan brat is at five hundred million and is currently emitting unstable Psionic energy. I recommend caution my lord. Together they could give you difficulties," Sorbet advised.
Frost's face filled with anger, "Thank you, Commander, my optical implant works just fine. If I ever need advice in obvious battle tactics, I will defer to you."
Frost's pink aura became more defined as he channeled his own power, causing high winds to erupt from him that terrorized the nearby lake and washed out dozens of soldiers and cyborgs. Verto and Piccolo guarded themselves against it but did have to sidestep a few cracks in the ground that formed next to them. Piccolo became quite aware of what they were facing and glanced at Verto, who did not take his eyes off Frost.
Hate to twist your mind
But God ain't on your side
An old acquaintance severed
Burn the world, your last endeavor
"I know you said he was strong, but I wasn't expecting this much in just his final form." Piccolo said telepathically.
Verto scowl held, "This isn't his final form. He's got two transformations to use, that I know of."
Piccolo turned back to Frost, "Then we'll have to defeat him before he can utilize them. I recommend attack plan C."
It was Verto's turn to glance at Piccolo, "You sure about that? You won't hold up to him physically for long."
Piccolo smirked, "I don't believe Leira was kidding about your Psi energy leaving you, this does not feel like your normal level of energy when you are using that power and it feels like its dropping, so I don't think you would hold up either. Don't worry, your mentor still has a few tricks up his sleeve. You are not the only one that learns things. Just be ready to use your stronger attacks and try to stay out of his physical range."
Verto nodded grimly as he did in fact feel his energy slipping, "Well I'll have to, I haven't been able to train with Psi energy in a while, so I won't hold up the same as I did the other day even if it wasn't dropping. Don't worry, I'll adapt."
Frost took note of the silent conversation and chuckled, "Telepathic communication? Quite a smart thing to do with so many eyes and ears on you. I am at a disadvantage not knowing what you plan to do." Piccolo's response was to charge right at him with his fist outstretched.
Flesh is burning
You can smell it in the air
'Cause men like you have
Such an easy soul to steal
(Steal)
Frost smirked and caught the punch with one hand, "Please try to do better." With his attention fixed, Verto phased out and snuck up from behind, attempting a kick at Frost's side. Without looking, Frost blocked it with his other arm. As this happened, Piccolo shifted his balance and attempted another punch with his other hand. Frost spun, and his tail lashed at Piccolo's body, knocking him backwards. Without missing a step, Frost then stopped the red fist coming right at his torso.
Frost's smirk remained, "Come now, you know you won't stand up to me like this."
Verto returned the expression, "And you know I won't make it that easy." Verto's fist opened into a vivid red energy blast that poured over the Ice Demon like a tidal wave. He backed off enough to watch the smoke begin to clear before bracing his right hand as he pulled one finger up and charging it with a large amount of energy that caused his single finger to glisten with red energy.
Frost emerged fairly unharmed and grinning as he watched this, "You know I'm not foolish enough to fall for that trick again when you are in this state. As I told my soldiers, if you are in this Berserk state that utilizes focused but unstable Psionic Energy, do not use energy blasts."
"Special Beam Cannon!" Piccolo shouted from the side. Frost's eyes widened as he turned to look at the corkscrew beam headed straight towards him, and he moved to block it with one hand.
Verto adjusted his aim and fired, "Shock Cannon!" Frost tensed up for a moment before jumping into the air just as the two blasts came together. The resulting detonation filled the barrier with bright purple light, followed by the rather loud sonic boom that tended to come with it.
So stand in line
While they ink numbers in your head
You're now a slave
Until the end of time here
Sorbet stared at his scouter readout in fear, "That blast was rated at eight-hundred million! Incredible!" Verto himself watched at the light maintain for a moment, though he felt something inside of him suddenly change and his energy dropped as he became dizzy. It was if his heart had just beat rather sharply and caused a brief pulse of pain even though he hadn't been hit.
He kept himself from falling, but it was still unnerving, Something's wrong.
The light faded quickly enough as the deeper purple ball of energy that had generated the explosion dissipated. Frost was down, several dozen meters away, covered in bruises and scrapes. Nearly half of his tail had been blown off in the blast, and the soldiers that could see this started to glance at each other nervously. Frost had barely opened his eyes when he saw Verto promptly phase in with his red Psi Sword over him, intent on finishing it quickly. Frost instinctively reached out and grabbed onto Verto's ankle, pulling him off his feet. With a mighty shout, he flung Verto into the dirt next to him, smashing him through several meters of it upon impact. Verto's red blade vanished as this happened, but Frost was not content to let him rest and yanked him out of the dirt before swinging him hard through the air to create another small crater next to him.
Frost let him go long enough to charge a Death Beam into his own finger, "That one hurt, you runt. Now it's my turn!" Verto had barely recovered enough to spit the dirt from his mouth before he sensed the attack.
"Be gone!" Frost roared.
Just as he would have fired, Piccolo phased in and kicked the blast out of his control, sending it sailing harmlessly into the barrier above. Frost was quick to respond, grabbing Piccolo by his gi and flinging him aside, where he crashed into a group of Max soldiers, knocking them all down in the process before he collided hard with the barrier and fell backwards onto the ground. Frost turned back to Verto and only saw a red Psi blade heading for his face. Frost was able to turn just enough that the sword missed his nose by millimeters as Verto glided past him. Frost used his momentum to swing around and attack Verto's blindside. His backfist bounced off of a red shield that partially materialized there, but Verto was still forced away from him. He managed to land safely and spun around, only for Frost to appear behind him nearly instantly.
Verto dropped down and spun again as his blade reformed into a potent energy blast, "Final Shine!" Frost disappeared in the point-blank blast of red power that expanded before it smashed into the barrier above. Verto held his breath slightly before the light dispersed and he saw Frost was gone. Even as he waited to see the results, he felt heavy fatigue washing over him along with dizziness again. He had barely registered it before a violent kick caught him in the right shoulder and he felt it pop out instantly as he was forced to the ground. Frost stood over him angrily and fired several small finger beams directly into Verto's other limbs, causing the Saiyan to cry out in pain.
Nothing stops the madness turning
Haunting, yearning, pull the trigger
"That should keep you compliant for the moment while I take care of the Namekian," Frost remarked. Verto managed to struggle and get up to his hands and knees, to which the Ice Demon responded in anger, firing another shot that hit Verto in the back and ripped through his green gi and blue undershirt.
Frost grinned as he cleared his throat, "Kihon Corps, I've changed my mind. Come contain the Saiyan while I handle the Namekian. I want him to watch every second of this!"
All at once, the new multi-colored platoon landed next to them, and the first one to act was the brown one, Mudare. His arms thickened and transformed slightly into what looked like brown jelly that oozed off his body, except it moved like a river as it dropped onto Verto. Verto realized something wasn't right when the cold partial liquid hit him and struggled to get to his feet. Mudare laughed as his arms reformed again, but the literal mud he had dropped suddenly hardened around Verto's legs and encased them. Verto twitched his weakened legs to try and get out but was unable to move much. The darker skinned Metare then stepped forward and cast his arms out, which became a shiny liquid that ran off much faster right on top of the mud. Verto realized it was liquid metal despite being cold to the touch and powered up to try and stop what was happening.
The blue brother, Blizzare, then joined in the fun as he aimed at Verto. Instead of an energy blast coming out of his hands, cold winds rushed over Verto as if he had just hit a violent snowstorm, but it was limited to just the area of effect. It did the job though as the metal hardened quickly around Verto's torso and held him firm while the freezing air seemed to sap his energy. Blizzare let up a moment later, and Verto's ability to power up returned. The white-skinned brother, Lightare then set his palm down on the metal. All at once a rapid current of electricity surged through Verto's body, ripping through him and causing his muscles to convulse, which was extremely painful considering half of his body couldn't move. Once the power surged stopped, Verto was too filled with pain and weakened to offer any resistance and his eyes faded to black.
You should have known the price of evil
And it hurts to know that you belong here, yeah
No one to call everybody to fear
Your tragic fate is looking so clear, yeah
It's your fucking nightmare
Muhahahahahahaha!
Frost smirked at this, "That's better. If he passes out, wake him again." Verto gritted his teeth as he tried to move but couldn't manage much more than clenching his left fist. Across the field, Piccolo had finally recovered and had gotten to his feet just in time to see what the Kihon Force had done.
Frost stepped towards him with all confidence, "Just down to you now, Namekian. I hope you've made peace with yourself. I'm afraid this will not be over with quick, nor will it be painless. I know all about your species' resilience."
Piccolo returned the expression, "It's good that you know that, son of Frieza. You should also know that a Namekian's pride doesn't allow him to simply give up without going all out. You may be stronger than me, but strength isn't everything. You know that there are ways to strengthen one's self through a variety of techniques. I'm about to use one that I'm willing to bet you have seen only once before. I can't use it to the same effect as others, but it can potentially last much longer with the vitality that a Namekian possesses."
Frost nodded, "Do your worst, Namekian."
Piccolo changed his stance as his white aura appeared briefly before it turned bright red, "Kaio-ken!" Piccolo's power shot through his limits, once again bowling over any low-level soldiers or cyborgs nearby. He took off and met Frost halfway across the meadow as their fists clashed. There was no obvious winner of the initial hit, and the two became a pink and red blur as they danced around each other, phasing in and out and creating numerous shockwaves.
Fight! (Fight!)
Sorbet dared walk up next to Torev, Kaon and Wheelo during this, watching his scouter readout intensely, "The Namekian is nearly even with Lord Frost's non-restricted form. How is this possible?"
Torev snorted at this, "The sooner you realize that this is not a picnic, the better off you will be. Piccolo's power rivals that of Super Saiyans, though using the Kaio-ken technique is new, I didn't think he could do that. It is unlikely to affect him as much with his regeneration either. That being said, I doubt he could utilize the multiplying effect."
Sorbet stared at him, "This technique can increase the user's strength even more?"
Torev scowled, "It has limitations. The user's body is damaged over time. The more power, the more damage. Now shut up, we're trying to observe." Frost quickly tired of the game of air dancing and stopped moving as he landed, fired off several Death Beams, which all narrowly missed due to Piccolo's increased speed. Piccolo held out both palms and fired several golden Ki balls which slowly moved towards Frost as he encircled him in movement. In just a few seconds, Frost was surrounded by dozens of energy balls, and Piccolo stopped phasing before thrusting his arms down.
Not to fail! (Fail!)
Not to fall! (Fall!)
Or you'll end up like the others!
"Hellzone Grenade!" Fire and smoke filled the air as Piccolo's attack bombarded Frost from all sides, detonating multiple explosions. This quickly dissipated though, and the smoke cleared to show that Frost was able to guard himself, though he was still covered in fresh blemishes.
Frost was grinning ear to ear, "I respect this strength Namekian, I did not expect this. I imagine my father didn't either, thank you for showing me. As a reward, I will show you my power."
Pink and red energy crackled to life around Frost, causing the ground to shake violently. Frost's body bulged and swelled slightly in size. The white armor around his purple head expanded and became more defined, and the armor plates on his arms and legs grew one thick talon apiece. Piccolo's jaw dropped as he felt Frost's power surge upwards along with his body, and an armored mask slipped over his nose and mouth. Within ten to fifteen seconds, Frost had transformed to his fifth form, which made the tall Piccolo look small by comparison.
Frost spread his arms as if he were welcoming an attack, and his voice had deepened as he spoke, "Come Namekian, and meet your end!" Piccolo stood up uneasy but remained focused as he charged energy into his two fingers again.
Die! (Die!)
Die again! (Die!)
Drenched in sin! (Sin!)
With no respect for another!
Frost stepped towards him slowly, but was in no hurry, "I suggest you make this one count, you will only get one chance."
Piccolo remained firmly in place, "Don't underestimate this attack, I have downed several foes stronger than myself with it!" Piccolo's Kaio-ken aura emerged again as his attack brightened with power. Frost finally stopped a dozen feet away, well inside dodging range, and waited.
Piccolo smirked at this, "Confident, aren't you? Well, we'll see if that remains. Special Beam CANNON!" A much more intense and stronger corkscrew beam raced out of Piccolo's fingers and struck Frost square in the torso before exploding. The resulting blast floored most of the army, and Piccolo himself was barely able to guard against it as the blinding, destructive light filled the field. When it cleared however,
Frost was looking down at the impact point, and was shaking his head as his body glowed with energy.
"Tsk tsk. Such a foolish Namekian," Frost said. Piccolo's jaw and aura dropped in shock as the attack did little to nothing to the powered-up Ice Demon.
Down! Feel the fire! Feel the hate!
Your pain is what we desire!
"It isn't just my power that increases in this form, it is my durability as well. Had that attack come from that disgraced brat over there, I might have had a problem. Now then, shall we continue?" Frost asked. Piccolo lowered back into his stance, but was floored by a massive clothesline before he even set his feet. Piccolo hit the ground hard and bounced upwards, right into a waiting double-arm smash from Frost. Piccolo's body bounced again before Frost kicked the Namekian hard in the back, sending him straight up into the barrier. Frost phased out and appeared just as Piccolo began to fall again, and buried another kick into his side, which sent him flying back into the ground at terrifying speed. He crashed in front of where Verto was contained by the Kihon Force and this stirred the pre-teen Saiyan.
"Piccolo! Get..up," he whispered. Piccolo struggled to pull himself out of the dirt as one of his arms was limp, and the other was bleeding profusely. He managed to get to his feet and turn to face Frost, who had landed and was casually walking towards him, making small dents in the ground as he did. Piccolo gasped for breath as he watched the powerful Ice Demon coming before glancing over at Verto.
"Come on kid, I know that's not all you've got. The odds are against us, I know that all too well right now. There's something deeper in you that is screaming to come out. You may not even realize it, but there's no other explanation for why that Aunt of yours would do what she did. Use that legendary Saiyan rage and push past your limits!"
Verto stared at him for a moment before looking down in despair, "No, that can't be. I'm weakening just like she said I would. I feel it in my bones." Piccolo grunted as he forcibly yanked his limp arm out and threw it aside before hunching over and straining as he regenerated it.
"Don't look down on yourself, because we don't have time for it! What would Vegeta think of you giving up so easily like this? You're as skilled as any of us when it comes to battle, and no matter how strong of a foe we face, you can overcome it! Now release your power, or else we're all dead!"
Lost! Hit the wall! Watch you crawl!
Such a replaceable liar!
Verto gritted his teeth as he felt a spark of energy from within him and his aura reappeared despite his eyes remaining black. He struggled hard and managed to crack both the metal and mud that was holding him in place. A moment later the solid material broke completely and Verto's legs and body were free. Verto first grabbed his right shoulder and painfully forced it back into place. The Kihon Corps took notice of this and held their hands out as they charged their multi-colored energy. They fired and their energies came out as brightly colored rope-like bindings that wrapped around Verto completely from six sides.
Verto hunched down and struggled with this as his aura increased in intensity, "Let me go damn it!"
Piccolo grinned as he looked back at Frost, "That's it kid. Show these fools what they're about to deal with. I wish I could watch it all."
Verto's eyes widened at the meaning of those words, "No Piccolo, don't!" Piccolo's white aura filled the air again as he stared down the approaching Frost, who stopped momentarily when he saw Verto starting to move despite the energy restraints.
"I'll give that kid this, he is tenacious. But he needs to learn when to give up. I will teach him personally before this is over," Frost promised. Verto desperately shoved off a few of the energy bindings from the Kihon Corps and got a few steps closer before a wide net of different energy strands covered him and nearly paralyzed his body. He glanced back as the Kihon Corps reestablished their hold and saw Bojack's team assisting them.
Bojack himself laughed, "You can wait your turn Saiyan. Just be patient." Verto's aura abruptly shifted colors to purple as he again tried to escape, but nothing was changing.
And I know you hear their voices
(Calling from above)
And I know they may seem real
(These signals of love)
Piccolo watched this and sighed before shifting his stance again as red energy poured out of him, "Kaio-ken, times two!" Frost shielded his face for a brief moment as Piccolo's power exploded upwards before daring the powerful Namekian to proceed. Piccolo panted immediately as the strain of doubling his power quickly caught up to him, and he knew that he was only going to get one attack out of it.
"Come, green man, and meet your destiny!" Piccolo was happy to oblige and charged in with his fist outstretched and every bit of power he could muster behind it. The impact resulted in a massive shockwave that brightened the lands again inside the barrier, but when it cleared, Frost was completely unharmed as Piccolo's fist was stopped with one hand and his Kaio-ken aura faded away. Piccolo had no time to pull back before Frost's enlarged fist and forearm went right through his torso, splattering blood as it punched through his back.
Verto's jaw slipped and his aura faded, "Piccolo!"
Piccolo coughed and gasped as he was able to look down at the powerful arm that was sticking out of his stomach, covered in his own Namekian blood. Frost pulled back his other arm and harshly backhanded Piccolo across the face. Piccolo's neck loudly cracked and slumped to the side opposite the impact as Frost pulled his protruding arm out and dropped him on the ground. Verto heard the sound and sensed Piccolo's energy drop to zero, but only his eyes could react to it as they trembled. His breath completely stopped as did any effort to escape the bindings. A rather loud eruption of laughter invaded his ears from all sides while Frost himself stood over Piccolo's unmoving body.
"A valiant effort, Namekian, but fruitless. Get comfortable boy, we're going to be here awhile. I think we should have Soren bring your family and friends here one at a time so they can all have their turn," Frost suggested.
No, I can't let them down. Even if I can only delay this prick, I will not let them down! Verto's aura snapped back to life, purple again as he struggled to break his bonds, and his body trembled. Images flashed in his mind of Bulma, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Videl, and many of the others. A golden light then emerged from underneath Verto's bracers, which were torn enough to reveal some of the seal's black lettering that had also turned gold.
But our life's made up of choices
(Some without appeal)
They took for granted your soul
And it's ours now to steal
As your nightmare comes to life
"You…you…" Verto stuttered.
Frost glided a bit closer, "I what?"
A primal sounding growl erupted from Verto's throat, "You…will…you will…"
Frost laughed, "I will what? Speak up boy? Are you so mad that you can't form words? This is just one body on the ground, I promise you there will be many more before I finally put you out of your misery!" Verto's eyes shifted between red, blue and purple before strangely turning bright green as energy lightning sparked around his convulsing body.
"YOU WILL PAY!"
A swirling column of green shot up around Verto, and black lightning filled his aura momentarily. The restraints from the Kihon Corps and Bojack's team snapped off like torn leaves, and the column of energy soared all the way up to the barrier before brightening. Frost's soldiers scattered in slight panic, as did most of the stronger troops. As they did, Verto let out a battle cry that floored everyone present, Frost included, as the energy output exceeded his expectations. Sorbet gasped as he got to his feet while his scouter began to malfunction and did not display a reading. Torev and Kaon were forced to shield themselves as the wind generated by Verto was too strong to stand up against, but both were blown down after a few seconds. Soren was the only one unaffected as he had shielded himself with another barrier, but he too was sweating slightly. The bright burst of energy faded and Verto emerged from it, hovering slightly over a newly formed crater. His eyes had filled with green and were glowing, as was his body. It was not the normal aura one might have expected a Super Saiyan to have; it was oddly calm and randomly shimmered with blue and gold. His hair's color had not changed, but it was standing on end. Frost's eyes narrowed, and in the case of his mechanical eye, it was picking Verto's body up, but was not showing any information.

"Sorbet, my eye is damaged and is not reading an energy level, and I can't seem to naturally sense his power. What does your scouter say about his power level?" Frost asked. Sorbet was able to hear the message just fine through his scouter but was not eager to answer it.
"Sorbet! Report!" Frost bellowed.
"It's not your eye my lord. The scouter isn't reading anything either, like this power is beyond its capabilities. It is not normal Ki and it is not Psionic energy that he is emitting. In fact, I'm not sure what it is," Sorbet admitted.
Next to him, Torev remained concerned as he got to his feet, but Kaon took one look at Verto and promptly screamed, "Oh no!" She promptly fainted into Torev's arms without much more than an exhausted sigh, as if she had just been in battle herself. Cold sweat instantly covered her body.
"What's wrong, love?!" Torev asked in a panic as numerous people glanced over at them. Kaon looked like she had completely lost all of her energy and even speaking ability as she tried to form words.
Frost nervously became aware of what the problem was upon seeing Kaon faint, "Sorbet, at what level will the scouters stop reading energy levels, assuming they can be detected?"
Sorbet gulped, "Theoretically, over one billion, my lord."
Kaon was finally able to weakly answer before she completely passed out, "R-Run! Escape! He'll kill us all…"
