I wish I owned DBZ, but I don't. I own DVD's and tapes, but it just isn't the same. Nor do I own any legal imprinting of whatever theme I'm using, such as a crossover with another anime, movie or TV series. Did I think it up? Yes. Was I the first to think it up? Probably not, but I digress. I also don't own the rights to any of the music pieces you see selected, just the merchandise, such a shame. The artists that created them are geniuses and we all must bow to them.

Chapter 28: Divide and Conquer

"Hey Bulma, how come the food dispenser isn't working? Bulma?" Goku called out at he entered the lab.

Bulma, passed out at her desk, slowly stirred at his arrival, "Wha? How long have I been asleep?"

Goku shrugged, "I don't know, but I'm hungry and that food dispenser thing doesn't want to work."

Bulma scowled, "Goku, just because we have plenty of food stored on the ship doesn't mean you need to eat it all!"

"I know but sitting around and waiting for something to happen just makes my stomach make a lot of noises," Goku whined.

Bulma rolled her eyes, "Fine, I'll take a look at the ship's systems." She immediately started typing on her keyboard as her nearest display screen seemed to wake up. It brought up a floor plan of the ship, and a noticeable red blip was signaling over what was the kitchen area.

"Looks like we have a system failure. It isn't affecting the food since most of that is packed into capsules, but the automatic dispensers are down. It might be due to how much processing power Kain is using right now. If you can wait a bit, I'll see if I can dig something up," Bulma offered. Another loud rumble echoed through the ship, but it wasn't a result of Goku's appetite.

"Woman! Where is the boy?" Vegeta shouted as he came into the room. Android Seventeen was right behind him, giving a nod to Goku as he entered.

"Verto? He isn't here?" Bulma asked in surprise.

Vegeta folded his arms, "I wouldn't be asking if he were. I can't sense his presence, nor am I sensing the Namekian." Bulma, already concerned, typed different commands into her computer. A world map then displayed, but it was not the same map as the ones tracking the cyborgs. It showed a cluster of green dots at Master Roshi's island, at Goku's house, and a few within Satan City. There was nothing else anywhere around the world.

"Who went to Satan City?" Bulma asked.

"The fool, Buu and Three-Eyes. Supposedly to check on the beta-male and something with the mansion," Vegeta grumbled.

Bulma was taken aback, "Yamcha's there? I thought we alerted him to come here at once?"

Seventeen shrugged, "Maybe he didn't take it seriously. Maybe he was too busy playing baseball. Who knows?"

Bulma frowned at this but moved on, "I'm not detecting Verto's cell phone signal. Geez, I hope he didn't turn it off again."

Goku turned his head, "Well, he's not with Gohan at our house. Can't you make that thingy tell us where he was a few hours ago?" Bulma quickly typed in the commands, and a noticeable set of two green dots were shown moving from the ship to the Ice Continent, and then disappearing for nearly an hour. They then picked back up and were moving back afterwards before disappearing again. For a split second though, the map showed them northwest of West City, almost exactly on the other side of the world from their location.

Bulma paused the replay to isolate the location as a chill ran up her spine, "This was the last known location of his phone. How did it suddenly get there?"

Vegeta eyed the map very carefully before stomping towards the door, "I'll find out where he went. Come with me android!"

Seventeen scowled slightly but shrugged and followed Vegeta. Bulma fearfully hammered more keys as the map came back up, this time displaying all the red cyborg dots with the green, purple and orange ones. The map's terrain had shifted to mostly deep red to signify the territory the Max nation now controlled, which only Satan City and the far south-east were not part of. Nor was the far south-west where quite a few battles had been fought but considering the lack of local government and now lack of people, it could hardly be counted. As Goku watched Bulma adjust the map settings, a large question mark appeared over that south-western land, a bit to the north and east of what had been desolated recently.

"What's that mean?" Goku asked as he pointed.

Bulma zoomed in on the map, "That's around Baba's palace. It means the ship's sensors are detecting something going on there, but we can't tell what from here."

Goku nodded and placed two fingers on his forehead, "I can feel a strong presence there, but I have no idea who it is. I'll go check it out!"

"Wait Goku!" Bulma shouted, but he was already gone. Bulma frowned at this and kept typing. Before she could bring up anything else however, the screen suddenly filled with static before going blank. This was followed quickly by the lights going out, shortly before the red emergency lights came on to supply partial illumination.

"Kain! Report!" Bulma shouted but got no response. She instinctively reached for the scanner which was being charged and got a 'signal lost' message.

"Damnit," she mumbled as she pressed a few buttons. This restarted the scanner and brought up another ship schematic. It also showed a problem in the lab across the hallway. Bulma hurriedly jumped up to run over there and opened the door, only to run straight into something she thought had been turned off. It was the decapitated Kochin clone standing in the doorway, headless, with a machine gun for an arm aimed at her. Bulma screamed and stumbled backwards as she fell down, while the barely functioning robot limped towards her.

Despite having no head or apparent throat, it could still speak in Kochin's voice, "Hahaha, you shouldn't have brought me aboard!"

Bulma was more than stunned, "How did you reactivate?!"

"Child's play my dear. A reactivation protocol that was built into my systems. Even if I sustain critical damage, as long as my core is not destroyed and I have one good hand, I can be brought back online! I'm afraid I cannot say the same for that turncoat AI. I have disabled all of your power systems and wiped the computer core! Even if you could restore them, I am not going to give you the chance!" Kochin declared as his minigun arm clicked and prepared to fire.

A flash of gold went by and Kochin's broken clone was no longer in the door. It was being tossed and smashed by a young but angry Super Saiyan, who swung it from wall to wall and littered the ground with parts.

"You get away from my mom you creep!" Trunks shouted as the reminder of Kochin's limbs sparked and fell apart.

Goten ran up to help Bulma, "Are you alright?"

Bulma accepted the assistance and dusted herself off, "Thanks you two. Trunks, I want you to take that thing outside and blast whatever is left! Ask Eighteen to come in here and help me assess the damage."

Trunks nodded, "Done!" Bulma watched the boys run off with the remnants of Kochin's clone briefly before reaching for the scanner and heading into the other lab.

"Now time to see how much damage he did."

At Baba's Palace, Goku suddenly phased in just outside, landing in the sand nearby. Immediately, hundreds of weapons were aimed at his head by numerous cyborgs and other creatures of various color and shape. Goku instantly recognized the Frieza Force uniforms and armor, as well as the Max uniforms of the turned humans.

"Did I come at a bad time?" Goku asked as he looked around somewhat cluelessly.

"No, you are right on time. Stand down men, your weapons will be meaningless with this one," a golden-skinned soldier said. He was tall, slightly on the thin side and sported a goatee and a mullet.

"Who are you? Are you one of Frieza's men?" Goku asked with a stern expression.

The commander bowed, "I suppose the armor does give it away, but to say that I work under Lord Frieza would not technically be correct if he's dead. I work under Lord Frost, and my name is Sandare. You must be Son Goku, whom we've heard quite a bit about. You are the Saiyan that defeated Lord Frieza many years ago."

Goku stood up straight but on guard, "Yeah that's right. Why are you here?"

Sandare chuckled, "Wouldn't you like to know? I would think it would be fairly obvious. We have come to rid this planet of you and your kind."

Goku glanced around at the numerous but low level Frieza soldiers and cyborgs pointing weapons at him, "With just these? Where's Frost?"

Sandare smirked, "Oh he'll be here when he is ready. I am merely on an expedition, and my mission was to draw one or more of you out and defeat you. Part of that mission is complete, now for the other part."

Goku returned the smirk as his white but clear aura flashed to life, "You'll have some trouble pulling that one off. Let's see what you've got!" The scouters of the soldiers all flashed to life, indicating Goku's elevated power level and causing many of the alien soldiers to back up in caution.

Sandare put his arms up, "Men, you will want to give us some space. You all have your assignments, leave him to me!" The vast majority of the alien soldiers then scattered, most of them by flight, while the cyborgs took off running in various directions.

Goku watched this happen before staring down Sandare, "You sure are confident." Sandare didn't answer, but kept his arms raised. Suddenly, the ground under Goku's feet swirled slightly before he sank into it abruptly.

Goku glanced down, and slightly panicked before he broke free and hovered in the air, "What was that?! Quicksand?" Sandare frowned before his hand twitched slightly. The pool of swirling quicksand then changed and shot out a long spray of thick sand at Goku, who did not react in time. The sand pushed him out of the air before coming back down and burying Goku in its wake. The blast of sand ceased and Goku turned and coughed sand out of his mouth before simply standing up and brushing himself off.

"What the heck kind of attack was that?" Goku asked.

Sandare grimaced, "I see I cannot take it easy on you." He raised his arms, and multiple columns of sand erupted out of the ground before coming together and dropping collectively upon Goku. A burst of energy followed that then dispersed the sand easily, revealing Goku unharmed underneath.

"Not this time!" Goku declared as he kicked off the ground and charged at Sandare. The villain barely had time to react before Goku's punch went right through his body. Just as it happened though, Sandare's body turned coarse and grainy before it fell away as thousands of sand pieces.

"Huh?" Goku asked, slightly stumped as Sandare appeared to fall apart. The sand nearby then rose up and took the shape of the villain before the skin hardened back into its golden color, even including the armor.

"Nice try Goku, but physical attacks do not work so easily on me. My brothers and I all have elemental gifts, and mine is the ability to control and turn into sand at will. Your brawling methods may effect most fighters, but they are not effective on one such as me," Sandare boasted.

Goku frowned, "Oh, well that's different. I've never fought someone who could just become sand when they want to. So how do you defeat someone clearly stronger than you if you can't just bury them?"

Sandare snorted slightly as he held up his palms, "I guess you'll find that out here in a moment." Two thick balls of sand then came out of his hands and clumped together before firing. Goku ducked out of the way of the first one before knocking the second one aside. When he hit the second ball however, he winced sharply as it stung his hand.

"Ow!" Goku cried out as he attempted to shake off the pain of his reddened hand which was leaking traces of blood.

Sandare smirked, "Careful blocking those Goku. Sand is essentially just crushed rock, but when compressed together, it becomes a sharpened tool for me to shred my opponents!"

His palms filled with slightly smaller but narrower shards of sand that quickly formed into brown blade-shaped sand clumps and fired. Goku spun and glided left to narrowly avoid them, though his orange gi was cut as a sand blade just missed his body. Sandare was content to keep firing more sand blades in one hand while the other was held back and forming more. His arms began pumping back and forth at quick intervals just as someone firing a barrage of Ki blasts might do. Goku dodged, ducked, jumped and otherwise maneuvered in various ways to avoid these attacks, all the while moving in a slow circle around Sandare in order to prevent his attacks from flying near Baba's Palace. He didn't sense the old fortune teller inside but chose to limit the damage regardless. Once Goku had positioned himself so that Sandare was between him and the palace, Sandare grew tired of the game and stopped firing before holding his arms down but with his palms facing up. Goku stopped moving and cautiously lowered into his stance, unsure of what was coming next. The ground shook slightly as all of the sand nearby suddenly rushed towards Sandare as his body glowed yellow before he lifted his arms high.

"Sandstorm!" The sand became a thick wall between Goku and Sandare, one that then flew back at Goku as if driven by the wind itself. Goku cringed as he guarded himself to the barrage of tiny sand particles coming barreling at him. From a distance, it looked like a literal sandstorm had formed and gusted straight over Goku's position, completely obscuring him from view. Sandare's body stopped glowing and the storm of sand slowly dissipated around Goku. It revealed him still guarding himself but shaking slightly as the huge attack had been applied to all of his body. His uniform was torn in several spots and more tiny spots of blood had been drawn. More than ever though, the assault on his whole body just plain hurt.

Sandare chuckled slightly, "As you can see, my attacks cannot be simply stopped or avoided easily. My sandstorm is the equivalent of millions of attacks on your body. They may not do much damage individually, but all at once and collectively, it packs quite a punch to even the strongest of warriors."

Goku grinned as he relaxed his guard, "It was definitely a strong attack, my whole-body stings from it. But I bet you won't do that again; I've already found a weakness!"

Sandare was unimpressed as he held his arms down again, "So, a glutton for punishment? Let's see if you can back up that big mouth of yours!" Sandare glowed gold again, and the sand rushed towards him again. Goku smirked as the tiny rocks and shards flew past him and dropped into his familiar stance with his arms drawn back.

"Sandstorm!" Sandare shouted again as the tidal wave of sand shot towards Goku. At first, all seemed just like the previous attack. That soon changed through when a blue Kamehameha beam shot right through the sand and struck Sandare, who could do nothing about it. It shoved him right off the ground as his body stopped glowing and he was pushed up into the air over Baba's Palace. The sandstorm immediately faded around Goku, showing him in his firing stance. Sandare managed to slide to the side and get off of the Kamehameha blast, taking the moment to watch it sail into the sky. That moment cost him when Goku placed two fingers to his forehead and phased out. He instantly arrived at Sandare's position and struck the villain over the head with a double-arm smash. Sandare plunged into the lake below, causing a generous wave to splash parts of Baba's Palace. Goku wiped his brow slightly and lowered to near the water level, hovering there for a moment. On the other side of the pool, Sandare emerged, however his skin had taken a darker tone. He gasped for breath as he pulled himself out of the water, before turning to Goku with anger.

"Damn you Saiyan! How could you overcome my Sandstorm?!" Sandare shouted.

Goku turned his head, "Well it was simple really. I saw that your power could manipulate the sand around at will, but with any real force of energy it was not very effective. So, once you blinded yourself and couldn't see my attack coming behind your sand wall, all I had to do was counterattack. You wouldn't have been able to defeat me with those moves if I turned Super Saiyan." Sandare clenched his wet fists in dismay, before one of them fell off completely like it had been severed.

Goku picked up on it quickly, "Also, sand is not good around water, so all I had to do is drive you into the lake. I'm betting you can't continue now otherwise you'll fall apart."

Sandare's remaining fist shook slightly before relaxing as he closed his eyes in further anger, "Correct, I can barely move without falling apart."

Goku grinned slightly, "Maybe next time don't fight around a lake. Tell your men to leave this planet now, otherwise I'll be forced to make you leave!" A sudden surge of energy alerted Goku to a strong presence much further away, far to the east and slightly north.

"More friends of yours?" Goku asked.

Sandare nodded weakly, though pieces of his neck threatened to fall off, "My brothers. You won't find them to be easy prey, they have greater power than I do."

Goku was unfazed by this, "Awesome, I like to fight strong opponents! Now are you going to leave?"

A portal promptly opened right by Sandare, who hesitated before stepping into it, "This isn't over, Saiyan."

Once Sandare was gone, Goku placed two fingers against his head and phased out again, leaving the desolate desert quiet once again.

Over the land Northwest of West City, two figures flew through the skies, one a Saiyan, one an artificial human. Vegeta and Seventeen had made a beeline for the detected source of Verto's cellphone but were not detecting any sort of power signal from that area. Even as Vegeta sensed Goku fighting something far to the south, he didn't care to even pause. Seventeen noted this behavior from the Saiyan Prince but did not question it, as he too was very curious about what happened to Verto and Piccolo. Not far from where the lands entered a mountain area, Seventeen saw an extremely charred landscape that was still burning. It was the size of a small town roughly, and severe damage had definitely been done to it.

"Over there," Seventeen pointed, drawing Vegeta's gaze. They both flew towards the disturbed area, quickly noting how wrecked the ground was. Aside from the soft rock around a still bubbling area of lava, most of the area was unrecognizable. The small lake nearby was steaming as dead fish floated on the surface.

"What do you think happened here? Another weather machine that blew up?" Seventeen asked. Vegeta didn't answer as he eyed the various dents and craters in the ground, which clearly read signs of battle. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a tiny reflection of light from the ground. He shot towards the ground fairly quickly, surprising the android in the process before Seventeen followed him. Vegeta's lip twitched angrily as he bent down and picked up what looked to be a thin but ruined cellphone with the Capsule Corp logo on the bottom of it. He attempted to turn it on, but it was burnt beyond the capacity for usability, prompting him to throw it aside. Seventeen saw this, but didn't dare say a word about it, knowing Vegeta well enough to not provoke him further.

A small hissing sound behind them drew his attention, and he saw a red portal open before two figures dropped through it. The first was a small blue figure wearing a purple turban, a red jacket with puffed out shoulders, and a set of white pants with a blue ceremonial dressing draped over it. He had narrow eyes and a gold necklace that dangled from his small neckline. Seventeen was not too impressed with the small newcomer as Vegeta turned around to also stare at him. The second figure, however, was a much larger and more familiar figure to the Saiyan Prince. It was another very large Mark Five robot of Kochin's design, but it contained no pilot or brain, just an empty casing at its top.

Vegeta's fists clenched as he immediately turned Super Saiyan before anyone could react, "Where is he, Cash?" The red circle of the robot's face flashed before turning slightly, and the sound of Wheelo's voice began boom through the air.

"Whatever do you mean Vegeta? What makes you think I know what you're talking about?" Wheelo asked.

Vegeta's aura exploded with fierce lightning as he became Super Saiyan Two, "Where is the boy?!" Wheelo's response was turning the robot around and blasting off into the air, flying to the east.

Vegeta growled as he prepared to give chase, "I'll let you deal with this one android. If I do not return, our contingency plan is in effect!"

Seventeen nodded, "Understood." Vegeta then rocketed after the robot, clearing the horizon in seconds. That left Seventeen and the other being staring each other down.

"Greetings Earthling, I am called Bujin. I understand you are an artificial being, fascinating," Bujin said. Seventeen responded by lowered into his stance, not letting his icy gaze leave the alien.

Bujin smirked, "That's just rude, can you not speak?"

"You can answer Vegeta's question since the robot left us. Where are Verto and Piccolo?" Seventeen asked.

Bujin chuckled lightly, "I think you and the Saiyan can figure that out. They did not go quietly though as you can clearly see here; our best warriors took quite a bit of damage as they were killing them. That lava pool was the boy's grave." Seventeen glanced across the smoldering pool before his eyes closed momentarily.

"If you wish to see them again quickly, don't resist," Bujin advised.

Seventeen's head snapped back towards Bujin with fury, "I recommend you prepare what defenses you have. This will not go well for you." Seventeen then charged right at Bujin, whose hands came up and glowed bright pink for a moment. Tiny strands of energy shot out of them at Seventeen, stopping his movement cold just a few feet away from Bujin. Seventeen struggled to move as he hovered in the air but was unable to break the hold.

"Patience android. Your death will come, there is no need to rush into it." Bujin then glided over towards the lava pool and waved his hand, which caused Seventeen's body to follow him. Seventeen's eyes widened at the strong telekinesis technique and continued his efforts to break the hold, but to no avail. Bujin continued floating until he was just outside the lava pool's edge and motioned his hand to direct Seventeen's paralyzed body to it. As Bujin stopped and held position, he heard what sounded like a stick snapping in half. He turned and saw his pink energy strands falling off in loose pieces before fading along the edge of a green energy barrier, which Seventeen was generating.

Seventeen's icy glare didn't fade, "It won't be that simple to get rid of me."

Bujin's head turned in wonder, "I see. Normally when I use my binding technique it saps the energy right out of a weak target instantly, but you, I cannot even tell if you are emitting any energy. And yet, there you are, defying me."

It was Seventeen's turn to smirk, "Oh trust me, I haven't even begun defying you!" Bujin lifted off and held his hands wide, causing the ground beneath them to shake slightly. Seventeen glanced down and saw two sizable chunks of rock tear out of the ground and fly directly at him. Seventeen dodged the first boulder before releasing his barrier and blasting the other to bits. Bujin redirected the first boulder again, which flew directly at Seventeen with great speed. The boulder smashed into Seventeen's position and broke apart as Bujin released his hold on it.

He began to laugh slightly as he turned around, "Far easier than my calculations predicted!" The remains of the boulder began to shake before then were tossed into the air, with many of the smaller pieces hitting Bujin in the back. He turned in surprise as Seventeen stood there with only mildly ripped clothing while a white aura spread out from his body, dispersing the rocks.

"Ah, you are more than just the sum of your parts. Perhaps I should take you back to Kochin for studying," Bujin suggested.

Seventeen's eyes narrowed into an angry glare, "You can just forget about that idea. That madman has seen enough of me already. But you did give me an idea…"

Bujin lifted his arms again as three more large boulders broke out of the ground and hovered, "All the ideas in the world won't save you!"

Bujin thrust his arms forward and the boulders quickly rushed towards Seventeen. He remained stationary and closed his eyes for a moment before aiming his hands forward. His green barrier partially emerged in front of him like a window, which easily blocked the first boulder. Then several more layers of green energy erupted outwards, blocking the other two as they smashed to bits. Seventeen kept pouring energy into the effort, and Bujin panicked slightly and closed his eyes as the green energy suddenly reached his position. When nothing happened, Bujin nervously opened his eyes and dropped his guard, only to see he was surrounded by the green energy barrier, which Seventeen then touched with his hand. Bujin's hands glowed as he attempted to blast his way out, but there was no change to the barrier.

Seventeen smiled slightly as Bujin sweated, "I wouldn't do that, you'll only hurt yourself. Now then, how about we wait for Vegeta to come back and then we'll discuss business."

"Ow, damn it!"

Back at the ship, Bulma was struggling inside a darkened panel at the middle of the ship when she bumped her arm in the process, not causing damage but adding to her frustration.

"Are you okay Miss Briefs?" Jessica asked as she attempted to hold a flashlight steady.

"My pride is ruined. That damned assistant of Flandal sure did a number on my power systems. There are broken relays all over the place and the computer core is fried. Eighteen, what do you see over there?" Bulma called out.

Android Eighteen was busy looking through what appeared to be the engine for the ship, "I'm not seeing much damage over here. Just a few connections out of place. She could still fly if we can get the power back on."

Krillin grimaced as he watched the two females work, "You'd think he would've tried to just destroy the ship."

Eighteen glared at him, "Don't jinx it you idiot!"

Krillin winced, "Right, sorry." Jessica moved aside as Bulma crawled out of the panel, covered in dirt and grease as she set a few tools down.

Bulma wiped her brow, "I'll have to replace all of the relays and the computer core. Luckily, I have the parts to do it. If he had gotten the main floater, we'd really be dead in the water. The real problem is going to be reloading the software. With Capsule Corp destroyed, the main servers are down, which means I will have to configure the operating systems manually. If Kain were online, he could help automate it, but I'll have to reload his program from the backups."

Krillin grimaced, "How long will that take?"

Bulma shrugged, "A few hours at least. I have to replace the core before I bring the power back on, otherwise half the systems may short circuit. The firmware will also have to be setup so that doesn't happen. And with the computers down, I can't read any of the satellite imagery. We'll be totally in the dark until I can get the ship back online."

Krillin nodded, "I think I understand. Eighteen, can you help her with all that, I'm not good with the technical stuff. I'll go check on Marron and the boys and call the others back."

Krillin promptly left the room and moved in the dark towards the exit of the ship. A noticeable rumble of the ground could be felt before he sensed a substantial set of power levels just outside, making him sweat nervously. Krillin quickly hovered off the ground and rushed out of the open entrance, seeing Trunks, Goten and Marron staring up into the sky above Master Roshi's Island. There, two unfamiliar green figures floated wearing strange garments. One of them was an obvious girl with long orange hair with a low-cut blue top and a white vest over purple and white pants. She also had separate black sleeves that covered her forearms all the way to nearly her shoulders. The other green alien resembled a pirate to Krillin, at least with his black bandana covering his orange hair. He had on a long blue coat over white pants and a black sash. He had various golden jewels dangling from his neck and ears. Both of them felt very powerful to Krillin, but it was the third figure that truly gave him chills. He was fairly large and muscular, wearing dark armor with green accents and no pants. His skin was a dark blue, and he had black horns that extended straight out from his veiny head.

"Ginyu?" Krillin asked.

The blue figure frowned and folded his arms, "No, but I can understand your confusion. Ginyu was a strong member of my race many years ago, but that time is long past. I am Captain Miruk."

"Hey, who are these guys?" Trunks asked as Krillin walked over and joined them on the beach.

"Judging by the outfits, I'd guess he is a member of the Frieza Force, but I'm not sure about those two," Krillin admitted. The two in question lowered to just above the surface of the water, with the large male speaking.

"If you must know, little midget man, I am Lord Bojack and this is my subordinate Zangya. We are here at the behest of Lord Frost," Bojack explained with a deep grin.

"Frost, you mean the son of Frieza? He's here?" Krillin asked in a slight panic.

Zangya turned slightly, "Of course little man. Does that frighten you? Well don't worry, you won't live long enough to worry about him!"

Trunks straightened his gray gloves as he snickered, "You sure came to the wrong place. We'll send you back to that chump in pieces. Ready Goten?"

Goten pumped his fist slightly, "Yeah!" Both of them promptly transformed into Super Saiyans, generating a mass of wind that forced the water away from the island.

"Wait you two!" Krillin warned.

Miruk floated to the water and landed, "I will handle them Lord Bojack. These two are nothing, and the tiny man is less than nothing. They are not worth your time."

Bojack laughed, "So be it, I suppose your increased strength can handle two-pint sized Saiyans fairly easily. We can go visit other places, come Zangya." The two took off into the air and flew to the northeast faster than anyone could react. Goten attempted to take off after them, but Miruk phased into his path and backhanded him back down into the water.

Trunks was shocked by this, "Goten! Why you!" Trunks blasted off the ground to attack, only to be caught by Miruk's large hand as he grasped Trunks by the throat and squeezed. Trunks's hair faded to purple almost immediately as Miruk did not let him have any chance of resisting.

"Destructo-Disk!" Miruk's eyes shifted as he slid sideways just as a golden disk of energy slipped past his head, barely missing one of his black horns. He dropped Trunks as he glared at Krillin, who had another spinning disk ready to fire.

"Foolish human. You gain nothing by resisting!" Miruk declared.

"Won't know till I try!" Krillin shouted as he launched the second disk. Miruk phased out, which caused the disk to miss and sail far into the air. He reappeared next to Marron and snatched her up by the back of her shirt, frightening her as she struggled.

"Daddy!" she cried out.

"Marron, no! You monster, you put my little girl down!" Krillin growled. Miruk looked unimpressed before he did exactly as Krillin asked, which as soon as Marron was free, she ran to him in distress.

Krillin held his daughter protectively, "Are you okay?"

Marron nodded meekly, "He's scary!"

"I suggest you take your spawn and go, tiny man. I'm only here for the two pieces of half-monkey garbage. You don't interest me. Interfere again and I will not hesitate to end your miserable lives," Miruk said.

Krillin scowled as rubbed Marron's head, "Go inside the ship with your mother."

Miruk watched as Marron ran to the ship, "Fruitless to run really. Your entire planet will be subdued and sold to the highest bidder. Your lives will be that of slaves and those that do not conform will be eliminated."

Krillin lowered into his stance, "We don't just lay down on this planet, pal! You'll have to take it from us by force!"

Miruk finally smiled, "All in good time tiny man. Before I dispatch of you three, I am curious about how you knew my comrade Captain Ginyu?"

Krillin gulped, "We met on planet Namek years ago. He was the strong purple goon who could change bodies."

Miruk nodded, "Yes, that would be the one. A bit over the top in his attempts to please Lord Frieza and with his ridiculous dancing. Let me guess, he perished when the Saiyan Goku battled him, or when the planet blew up."

Krillin scowled, "Something like that."

Miruk folded his arms and closed his eyes, "A pity, he had such promise, but even great warriors can fall. His power rating at the time was considered very high among the Frieza Force at one hundred and twenty thousand. But obviously that proved to be a weak rating, I'm sure even you have surpassed it. Would you like to know mine?"

Sweat trickled down the side of Krillin's head as he attempted to measure Miruk's power level, "Let me guess, larger?"

Miruk's eyes opened, "Four hundred million." While Krillin did not have a scouter on to understand the number in comparison to his own, he certainly understood that it was quite a bit more than he, his wife, and the boys put together at present. Speaking of the boys, they were holding their heads as they recovered on the beach.

Trunks was first to his feet as he glared at Miruk, "Four hundred million huh? We can easily beat that number, you big jerk!"

"Yeah, you tell 'em Trunks!" Goten cheered before holding his aching head again.

Miruk reached up and switched on his scouter, "By all means Saiyans, I will allow you the chance to prove it!" Trunks turned Super Saiyan again and joined Goten in powering up while Miruk let his green scouter measure the readings. Both boys hit the same mark and relaxed a bit, though Trunks was not done powering up in the least, a fact that did not go unnoticed.

"One hundred and thirty million each, very impressive for such young fighters, though I get the sense that one of you is holding back. Not the wisest of moves," Miruk pointed out, staring directly at Trunks as he did.

Trunks smirked as he lined up with Goten, "We're not actually done yet. Ready Goten?"

Goten nodded, "Yeah!"

"Fu…" they both began.

Miruk's eyes widened and he promptly fired a pair of violet energy blasts at the two, who couldn't even get to the second part of the dance. Trunks and Goten were floored by the attack, leaving them blinking sharply as their faces were partially burnt and bruised.

Miruk shook his finger and grinned, "None of that merging nonsense. You will fight cleanly, or else I will not hesitate to kill everyone here now! If you don't think I can't before you get your little trick to work, you haven't been paying attention!"

Goten glanced at Trunks nervously, "Trunks, what do we do?"

Trunks stood back up with determination, "We give him what he wants."

Both boys dropped into their fighting stances as Miruk stepped forward, and a general feeling of unease grabbed Krillin's attention as he started picking up several strong powers clashing all around the planet.

This isn't good.

Satan City was fairly quiet that morning as Tien, Buu and Mister Satan were walking along, searching for Yamcha. They had made it a point to contact all of their friends about the pending problem, but Yamcha was unresponsive. Normally this might have concerned Tien, until Satan had mentioned that Yamcha's baseball team was scheduled to be playing that day. They approached the stadium expecting to find a crowd, but instead there was very little traffic or people. Tien easily sensed Yamcha in the stadium, and they opted to fly over the side to greet him. He was busily throwing practice pitches at home plate but stopped when he sensed the three approaching.

Yamcha promptly took off his cap, "Oh hey guys, long time no see!"

Tien landed with concern along the first base line, "Yamcha, have you gotten our messages? You should come with us at once to Master Roshi's island."

Yamcha grimaced for a moment, "Yeah I heard all about it, in fact that's why the game got cancelled today. The entire North City team forfeited, and the Satan City team stayed home; I'm the only one that showed up. It's crazy what's been going on, but I haven't been threatened or anything yet. I'm probably too much for those guys anyway, ha!"

Satan shook his head, "They were willing to come after me and Buu, so they'll attack anyone at this point. You should come to Bulma's ship with us buddy."

Yamcha pulled his cap off, "I suppose you have a point there. I pretty much gave up fighting, but I can at least be support right?"

Tien shook his head, "It's nothing that can't be regained my friend."

"Thanks."

"What do we have here?" a voice asked from above, prompting the four fighters to look up. Above them, there were a pair of warriors, one with black skin and the other blue that looked otherwise identical.

The blue one spoke next, "I don't know brother, but I would guess a set of fools to add to the corpse pile."

The black warrior grinned, "Let's see if we can help them along brother."

"Who are those guys?" Satan asked nervously.

Tien's eyes narrowed, "They're strong, whoever they are. And they're wearing Frieza Force uniforms." The two newcomers grinned wickedly as they descended to the ground, landing near short stop on the baseball diamond.

The black warrior bowed, "I am Metare, and this is my brother Blizzare. Now do us the courtesy of introducing yourselves."

Tien and Yamcha responded by dropping into fighting stances before the former spoke, "What do you want here?"

Metare promptly vanished before reappearing behind the pair, "I said state your names!" Tien spun right into a dark backhand that sent him flying into the dugout. Yamcha saw this and gulped slightly as he gathered energy into his right palm. Metare ignored him entirely and turned to glare at Satan and Buu, who were both looking over towards Tien.

"Do I have to repeat myself? Honestly, are all earthlings this rude?" Metare asked.

Satan panicked slightly, "I'm the World Martial Arts Champion Hercule Satan and this is Majin Buu! He's Yamcha, and that one is Tien." Buu glanced at Satan's nervousness before frowning and staring down Metare but saying nothing.

"Thank you, now that wasn't so difficult was it? Majin Buu, that name sounds familiar, but I am not quite placing it. You however, the World's Champion, now that interests me. Would you care to fight with me champion?" Metare challenged.

Satan knew he was in over his head and didn't bother with the bravado, "I'm okay thanks."

Blizzare chuckled as he looked towards his brother, "Some champion, it must be nothing but children in your competitions." Rustling could be heard from the dugout and Tien shoved aside what was left of the bench he had crashed into.

Tien panted slightly as the blow had been severe enough to make his head bleed, "He's, ugh, not the only World Champion you have to contend with!" At this point, Yamcha had been afforded enough time to gather his Spirit Ball behind his back and with everyone looking at Tien, he could weigh his options.

The black one is definitely stronger by what I can sense. The blue one is completely unguarded, if I can get a good hit, I bet I can take him out. This will have to be the best fastball of all time.

Yamcha had pulled his arm out and had prepared to throw when Blizzare unfolded his arms, "You've got one shot, you had better not miss!"

Yamcha cringed as he threw his Spirit Ball directly at Blizzare, who didn't budge or even look in his direction. Yamcha curled his fingers and controlled the ball as it made contact and exploded. He had expected the blue warrior to at least dodge the attack, but no such movement occurred. Out of the bright light and smoke however, a sudden gust of wind blew through, and Yamcha felt the temperature drop around him. His legs and torso shivered automatically as glazed ice gathered around his feet. Yamcha could barely realize what was going on before a long and thick shard of clear ice flew at him and plunged into his chest.

"Yamcha!" Tien shouted.

Any cold feeling Yamcha had was replaced by pain and the heat of his blood as he grabbed at the ice shard. He was barely able to pull it out of his chest before a dozen more hit him in various vital areas and turned his torso into a pincushion. Yamcha slumped and collapsed on the ground as blood oozed out of his chest and back while his eyes went blank. Satan's jaw fearfully dropped as he stood next to Buu, who continued to give Metare a mean look. Blizzare stood nearby and lowered his arm, which was covered in the same ice momentarily before it disappeared.

"One down," Blizzare sneered.

Tien's shocked face switched to determination as his aura flew up around him, "You bastard!" Tien had barely taken off in flight before a black arm clotheslined him back into the dugout, this time partially smashing through the concrete wall. Tien was knocked out almost immediately and ceased to move.

Metare lowered his arm as he landed before turning back to Satan and Buu, "So, what will it be Champion?"

Buu's face contorted into a much angrier frown, "You no hurt Buu's friend. Buu hurt you!"

Metare smirked as he folded his arms, "Bring it on tubby!"

Small amounts of steam came out of Buu's head before he pulled back one arm and punched forward, extending his arm. Metare side-stepped this punch before his body began to shimmer and turned lighter. Buu attempted another extended punch with his other arm, which Metare also easily avoided. He then grabbed both of Buu's extended arms as the dark gray liquid spilled onto them. Within seconds, Buu's longer arms began to be enveloped by this gray material even as he retracted them back. Buu stared at his now dark hands as the strange liquid rapidly spread over his entire body. Within seconds, it completely covered him as he tried to cry out, and Satan backed away in fear. Blizzare cast out his own palm and an icy wind once again blew out, this time over the darkened Buu and the liquid metal that now covered him, hardening it.

"That should take care of that strange blob," Metare laughed as his arms darkened and stopped dripping liquid. Satan blinked sharply and tapped on Buu's body, getting a very noticeable clang as he did so.

"You turned him into metal?!" Satan claimed.

Metare nodded, "Mostly. His insides are probably still organic, but probably not his head. I wouldn't press too hard Champion, you might break him. My metal is strong, but it is not indestructible. And I'm afraid that once broken, there is no putting him back together, not that it matters now. Most living beings die within a few minutes of being encased once they can't breathe."

Satan, still terrified of what had occurred, reached for his cell phone in his pocket. He pressed one button that he had on speed dial and held it up to his ear. It was shot out of his hand a moment later by a tiny shard of ice from Blizzare, and as the phone showed Gohan's picture, it fell to the ground and shattered.

"Ah Ah, that's against the rules," Blizzare declared as he shook his icy finger.

Metare snorted lightly at this as he looked up, "Looks like it is nearly time brother. We'll let these two live long enough to hear the big announcement."

Satan turned his head slightly, "What announcement?"

A distinct rush of air blew over the stadium, which caused Satan to guard himself before it knocked him down. When he looked towards the outfield, he saw a very large spaceship dropping out of the sky. It resembled a Frieza Force ship, which Satan himself only heard about. The very loudspeaker of the stadium crackled to life, though the same happened throughout Satan City as large TVs lit up, regardless of if they were public displays or living room television sets. The large video screen of the stadium also came to life, and a face that Satan recognized all too well at this point appeared.

"Cash," Satan growled. Doctor Wheelo appeared on the screen, lab coat and all, in front of a large group of Max cyborg soldiers and Frieza Force aliens.

"People of Earth, I speak to you on a glorious day in which we will finally rid the planet of the aliens known as Saiyans. As you know, these outlaw aliens have proved difficult to track down and deal with. That ends today as I am proud to announce a new partnership with a great army from beyond that has come to our aid. This army is known as the Frieza Peace Corps, and their mission is peace throughout the galaxy. The Saiyans are known to be tyrants wherever they go and the Frieza Peace Corps, led by Lord Frost, will see to it that they are rooted out from wherever they are hiding. You will see these troops landing soon, do not be alarmed. Please allow them to help you evacuate your homes and cities as needed, for the Saiyans could literally be hiding anywhere and we do not want you to get hurt in the crossfire. There will be difficult times ahead and blood may be spilled, but you do not want to get in their way. Our MAX troops will be accompanying them, so there is no cause for concern as most of these peaceful aliens will not harm humans. They are here to help!"

Satan scowled, "What a liar!"

Metare glanced at Satan with a thick grin, "I see you do not think highly of your fellow human."

Satan glared back, "He isn't really human, not anymore."

Metare nodded, "True, but pretty soon none of you will be. You'll either be cyborg slaves, or dead. I'll let you decide which you wish to be."

Satan tightened his belt and sunk into a stance, "I may not have a chance against you two. But the world champ doesn't just lay down and die!"

Metare nodded again, "Commendable. I shall not prolong your death then!" Satan was about to attack when a blur of orange and blue suddenly appeared before him, covered in black spikey hair.

"Goku!" Satan proclaimed as the Saiyan teleported in just before him.

Metare perked up to the proclamation and promptly pressed a button on his scouter, "Primary target has arrived." Goku didn't say anything initially as he looked at Buu, then Tien, and the two alien brothers. He stopped cold though when he saw Yamcha's body laying prone. He quickly ran over to his friend and bent down to check his pulse, but he knew the answer before he even got far enough to confirm it.

"Yamcha, you monsters!" Goku snarled as his fists clenched. Golden energy erupted out as Goku turned Super Saiyan, giving Blizzare and Metare cause for concern. Goku flew at them in enraged but didn't quite get there before a long lavender tail swatted him out of the air and crashing into the ground. The owner of that tail landed long enough to blast Goku's midsection with a kick that sent him into the outfield video screen, completely smashing it upon arrival. Satan's eyes were as wide as dinner plates as he fearfully watched the newcomer.

Metare and Blizzare each bowed, "Lord Frost!"

Satan paled at the announcement, "Oh no, another freaky alien!"

Frost stood in his base form and closed his eyes for a moment before lifting a finger and charging it with red energy. At first, he appeared to be ready to aim for Goku, but then turned and fired to his right. Satan had no time to react at all before the beam shot through his heart and out his back. Goku pulled himself out just in time to see this and his jaw slipped. Not at ability of Frost to do the act, but at the sheer cruelty of it. Satan dropped to the ground, dead before another breath could be taken.

That open jaw became clenched teeth a moment later as Goku's aura filled with Ki lightning, "Damn you Frost!" All around the stadium, a giant red barrier rose out of the ground and covered the skies, reminiscent of Soren's handiwork. Goku realized that he couldn't sense anything past the barrier and instantly knew there was no escape.

Frost laughed as he spread his arms, "Greetings, Son Goku. Now that the bait is out of the way, I believe we have unfinished business to handle. Last time we fought I was exhausted from my battle with the boy and you were able to escape. I promise you; things will be different this time around!"

In West City, a large group of people were watching the large video screen that had just broadcast Wheelo's message. Many of them were elated, while others nervously whispered to each other. It didn't appear to matter that much though as scores of Frieza Force soldiers landed and marched through the streets with Max cyborg soldiers. They did not attack, but they did start looking through various buildings for their targets. These searches proved to be pointless as none of the known associates of the Z fighters were nearby. The message was played several more times for the crowds that had gathered, with continued reassurance that the extra aliens were a peace keeping force. Most of the people went along with it, but there was one hooded figure on a rooftop nearby that did not.

The person scowled at the scene, So it's that same scientist the kid got so freaked out about in that other reality. Guess he had good reason; too bad these sheep haven't figured it out. The mystery figure jumped off of the rooftop and ran in the direction of ruins nearby, stopping to examine the area that had been devastated by some sort of attack. As the person looked around, a few random men happened to walk by at the same time.

"Hey, they're all gathering in the town square, you don't want to be left behind," one man said.

The hooded figure glanced at him and spoke with a definite feminine voice, "Can you tell me what happened to this building? What happened to the people that lived here?"

The man turned his head in confusion, "You must not be from around here lady. This was Capsule Corp, home of the Briefs family. Those traitors tried to take over the world and started a war with mankind! I'm so glad that Governor Cash is finally doing something about them!"

A distinct frown formed on the stranger's face, "Okay, did they all die? Or did they just leave?"

The man shrugged, "I dunno. Those guys are super strong and can fly, so they're probably on the run. I just hope I can face one myself one day and give them the justice they deserve!"

"Are you with them? You seem awfully concerned," a second man pointed out.

The mystery person's gloved hand pulled the hood back, revealing sky blue hair that spiked slightly on the right side of her face. Speaking of the face, the newcomer's feminine face shimmered slightly under her blue hair, with similarly light blue eyes and a slightly flat nose.

"Afraid you might have me confused boys," she said with a slight wink as she removed enough of her cloak to reveal the top of her violet jumpsuit and black armor that was slightly stretched by her chest.

The skeptical man's concerns faded instantly, "Wow, you're hot! How would you like to come back to my place?"

The first man stared at him, "Dude, you're married. Get your head out of the gutter! C'mon we're going to be late to the gathering!"

"Oh right, see you around some time. Feel free to find us again once we find out where we're going!"

The girl smiled and waved slightly as the pair ran off before she completely pulled the cloak off. This revealed her curvy but fit body, and more specifically, the brown fuzzy tail wrapped around her waist.

"Hm. Am I too late?" Laysh asked herself as she eyed the ruins of Capsule Corp.

A/n: Happy quarantine.
