I wish I owned DBZ, but I don't. I own DVD's and tapes, but it just isn't the same. Nor do I own any legal imprinting of whatever theme I'm using, such as a crossover with another anime, movie or TV series. Did I think it up? Yes. Was I the first to think it up? Probably not, but I digress. I also don't own the rights to any of the music pieces you see selected, just the merchandise, such a shame. The artists that created them are geniuses and we all must bow to them.

Chapter 33: The New Ginyu Force

In another part of the spaceship turned fortress, Commander Sorbet was overseeing Captain Ginyu's recuperation in the healing chamber. They had been there for some time, much longer than it would have required for the captain's wounds to heal. This was by design, as Sorbet anticipated what Frost actually wanted out of him when he was to see to Ginyu's healing. With Miruk gone, Frost was down a valuable soldier, and he didn't entirely trust Ginyu, which is why he didn't have a common soldier lead Ginyu to the healing chamber. Once Ginyu had entered the pod, Sorbet had him sedated immediately, which was normal when administrating care. It had however been a few hours since they had entered, and Sorbet had yet to receive orders.

I wonder what Lord Frost wants me to do with Captain Ginyu? It obviously isn't to kill him. He could have done that already. Sorbet's thoughts were interrupted when the door behind him slid open. He grinned for a moment before realizing that the newcomer was not Frost and in fact was his designated rival with blue skin and yellow fur.

"Major," Sorbet muttered aloud.

"Commander," Buro replied as he walked in carrying a small metal tube.

"What brings you here?" Sorbet asked, slightly annoyed at Buro's arrival.

"Lord Frost would like an update on Captain Ginyu's condition. I would expect that he would have been long healed by now," Buro quickly pointed out.

Sorbet's breath caught in his throat for a brief moment, "If Lord Frost wanted a report, why did he send you? Why not just contact me directly?"

Buro stood up slightly straighter, "Lord Frost has certain expectations of how his facilities are run. And for that matter so do I."

Sorbet snorted lightly, "I understand Lord Frost perfectly. He didn't send me down here with Ginyu just to wrap him in bandages. What I don't understand is what he sees in you."

Buro cracked a small smirk, "What's wrong, Commander? Afraid of losing your command of the fleet? You are fortunate Lord Frost even considered your command experience. Had you not been able to recruit the Kihon Corps, I doubt your position would be anything more than a third seat adjutant. Which is what it once was once if I'm not mistaken."

Sorbet bared his teeth slightly, "Careful Major, you could find yourself on the wrong end of a laser beam one day."

Buro nodded, "Oh I have been careful, just as you have. Made all the right steps, served our Lord well in all he asks of me, and expanded knowledge to get to where I am. In fact, that is why I am here, in a sense."

Sorbet frowned, "Go on."

Buro opened the metal tube in his hands, "We don't have to be enemies, Commander. I have little interest in fleet command at this time. Science is more my area, more specifically that of the brain." Buro then pulled out a small metal chip around the size of a pencil eraser and held it up for Sorbet to look at before offering it to him.

Sorbet took it, "And this is?"

"As you know, Captain Miruk and Ginyu share their special racial trait. Being able to swap bodies with a target regardless of power," Buro said vaguely.

Sorbet nodded, "A fact that I was unaware of until a short time ago. What of it?"

Buro smiled, "Let's just say that some time ago, Lord Frost asked me to develop a tool to…neutralize that technique in the event that Miruk went rogue. After all, you cannot completely trust someone who can take your body just like that. This is that tool."

Sorbet's eyes widened, "I see, and now that Miruk is gone…" Both of them turned to stare at Ginyu, who was motionless aside from the occasional air bubble coming out of his mask.

"Lord Frost is a very careful ruler. He respects strength as his father did, but he does not appreciate forces that could undermine him from within his own ranks. I believe we have a common purpose here, Commander," Buro said as he pointed at the healing chamber.

Sorbet grinned wickedly, "Perhaps we can work well together, Major."

Buro nodded, "There are others that we need to keep an eye on, as you well know."

Sorbet's eyes shifted to the side, "On that front, I have already taken steps."

Torev's eyes opened to an unfamiliar ceiling, but a very familiar woman with her arms wrapped around him as she rested her head on his chest. The penthouse suite provided to them had a very large bed with a surprisingly sturdy structure and tapestry to cover it. Well, it did until about halfway through their evening romp. Afterwards, they had both gone to sleep immediately and had stayed in the broken bed. Other features in the room included a few large paintings of space, Frost himself and even Frieza. Torev scowled at these but did nothing initially. As promised, there was a hot tub to utilize as well as a sizable and separate bathroom. Torev found himself staring at the large window though, which was positioned in such a way that anyone trying to look in would have to be flying and very close to see inside. Otherwise he could see every part of the remains of Satan City as well as a large stretch of the horizon given that it was in a high tower. Torev then turned his head back towards the ceiling and let out a noticeable sigh.

"What could you possibly be brooding about after a night like that?" Kaon asked as she stirred.

Torev grimaced, "You even read my mind in your sleep?"

Kaon snorted lightly as she repositioned herself with her long leg crossing his own to pull him closer, "I hardly need to do that to read your mood. Go on, it's just us here."

Torev paused for a moment, "I don't understand why the transfer didn't work. You mentioned that your counterpart, what's-her-name, put a spell on him to block it or something, but couldn't you just undo that?"

It was Kaon's turn to sigh heavily, "Unfortunately because of our competing natures, I do not have the necessary skill and technique to do that yet. Remember, just like you, I was locked away and asleep for a long time, unable to do anything. At least you could roam around in that Hell, I was stuck in the back of the mind of a little child."

"Lenz, you mean," Torev said.

Kaon scowled momentarily, "Don't say her name either. She's long gone, and I prefer to keep her that way. The only thing useful that came out of her was her well-endowed body, as I'm sure you would agree."

Torev's eyebrows raised, "Can't argue with that."

"Good, otherwise I'll have to remind you, a lot," Kaon said with a suggestive tone.

Torev grinned, "Threatening me with a good time? Not at all what I pictured out of a self-described demon."

Kaon reached up and ran a finger down his chin before dragging it across his bare chest, "It's not all fire and brimstone, lover boy. There are a lot of perks in the package." Her hand started to glow with pink-purple energy before Torev reached up to pull it away from his torso.

Kaon frowned, "What is it?"

Torev stared into her eyes, "So, despite the cloned and older body, why is it I can't generate the same demon energy that he can? I saw and felt it firsthand. His power was not superficial, while I only have what you give me and once it runs out, I'm a normal Super Saiyan again, nothing more. It's clearly not a genetics thing, there is more to him than that. It was the same with the Zerg, except that overgrown weed was giving me energy to use."

Kaon sighed again, "You're right, and that fact was kept from you. Verto had a gift given to his soul, one that can't just be copied easily. The Elder Kai unlocked a portion of it that was lying dormant. It was later enhanced through his various battles and adventures, and what you witnessed the other day was a peek at the full awakening. I didn't think it was possible at this point with his powers suppressed, but it appears that only served to quicken the process."

"What is it?" Torev asked.

"It's a long story that I really don't want to get into, but the short version is that while genetically his body is half human and half Saiyan, his spirit is now a much bigger mixed bag. It has to do with the Zerg Cerebrate you two were linked with, you remember that don't you?" Kaon asked.

Torev's face scrunched up, "Only too well. That creature undermined me the entire time."

"Well it was a plant. Some other entity was possessing that creature and was then forced into Verto's being by the Overmind. Just like the witch who possessed that other red head," Kaon explained.

Torev's eyebrow went up slightly, "Kerrigan was possessed? I guess that makes sense, I could never figure out her real motives."

"The point being, whatever the being impersonating the Cerebrate gave Verto, it not only increased his power and potential, but also unlocked something that should've stayed buried. Something even high-level deities would have wanted to remain buried. His red Psi energy that was eerily similar to that of a demon was a side effect of that, a product of the energy spilling out from time to time in moments of stress. You know what stage was next," Kaon said knowingly.

Torev grimaced, "So that explosion of power was a result of that demon energy rapidly maturing, which is what you were afraid would happen, right? But I couldn't even sense it initially, not until he started to weaken a bit."

Kaon suddenly sat up with slight frustration, "Let's just say the source of that power was not just demon or Saiyan. My, brother, the original Verto, was a complicated man. Not that I was any better at the time, clearly."

Torev detected the hint of the difficult topic but still chose to press it, "You make it sound like he was destined to overpower everyone."

Kaon shook her head, "No, it isn't that. There were plenty of beings far more powerful than him even at his best. But his power and ability made him a thorn in the side of all of them, once developed. I wanted you to have that power, and still do. The seal prevented us from getting it before it awakened, and now that it has, it may not be that easy to get even without the seal."

Torev shrugged, "Well it's better than he's gone now right?" ***

Kaon glared at him, "I know you're not that naïve, lover. We may have six of the Earth's dragon balls, but there are other ways to bring him back and you know it. It is just a matter of time, which is why we have taken the steps we have before we revived you."

"Is that why the Kai you have captive is so important?" Torev asked.

Kaon nodded, "She has a part to play in our plans yes. But not a big one."

"Okay, so what is our grand plan then?" Torev countered, "It's obvious that it's not just conquering Earth and beyond, and I can't just keep suckling your teats for power."

Kaon grinned as she turned fully towards him and climbed onto his torso to straddle him, "Oh I thought you liked that part of it? I didn't hear any complaints before, even though that wasn't what you were doing, technically."

Torev rolled his eyes slightly, "You know what I mean, don't use sex to distract from the topic."

Kaon leaned forward to passionately kiss his face, "Oh this isn't a form of distraction. The one other effective thing I was able to witness was the effects of Verto's strange powers on others. Whether they were human or Saiyan, because of his mixed blood, his energy could affect them all. Some were in less direct ways like better health, and in others, greater strength and advanced abilities. We're going to use that method on you until your power develops, only better. I know it's in there, it just needs to be coaxed out. What better way is there than feeding you my energy while you give me your seed. It will be an accelerated version of what he was doing, and we might as well have fun with it, right?"

Torev's eyebrows raised as he returned the grin, "You sound like you just want a baby really bad. Are you sure you are not just trying to trap me in this relationship?" Kaon smirked as she leaned back up before adjusting herself accordingly and sat back down, causing Torev to moan with pleasure.

"Would that be such a bad little side effect? Think of it, your power awakening, and an heir to follow you. We could start a dynasty that lasts for all time as we destroy our enemies. Wouldn't you like that?" Kaon asked as her body began to glow. This time, Torev did not put up any resistance as his body also glowed with her energy, and the pair proceeded to engage accordingly. Time seemed to slow down for them even as their grunts of noise filled the room and echoed into the halls. On one of the nearby paintings however, a very small insect with metallic wings was watching intently.

The good mood Torev was put in did not last for long as the busy part of his day was just beginning, one that he was not looking forward to. An hour or two later he was in the great hall waiting for the Kihon Corps to enter. Initially he had been curious about these elemental mutant soldiers of Frost's, but that curiosity faded to contempt when their brother Mudare evaporated due to Verto's chaotic power release. At that point he had considered them worthless, even if their efforts could hold down powerful warriors for a short time. He didn't have to wait long before a door slid open, but it wasn't the Kihon brothers that entered at that point. It was the dark-blue skinned Captain Ginyu, freshly healed and wearing a bright white version of his typical uniform with blue and brown trim. Torev managed to resist tensing up too much, but not enough to where Ginyu didn't notice.

"So, I hear you are the clone of that Saiyan kid that Vegeta trained," Ginyu said with an intent stare as he approached.

Torev's eyebrow slipped up as he looked up at the taller Ginyu, "And your point is?"

The two stared each other down intently before Ginyu shifted to stand facing the room, "I do hope your strength is not overstated. Otherwise you would be a great disappointment to Lord Frost."

Torev folded his arms, "Keep talking like that and I'll throw a boulder through that glass house of yours, after I rip those horns off your head."

Ginyu smirked slightly, "Typical Saiyan, always bloodthirsty."

"Typical Ginyu, whose only talent is bad posing," Torev retorted. Ginyu turned again to stare down Torev but said nothing as he scowled heavily.

"Oh, did I hit a nerve? Pop a few veins? Not that I can tell on that mutant head of yours. Maybe you should go relax on a nice lily pad somewhere, catch some bugs," Torev added.

Ginyu's fists clenched tightly as he grinned, attempting to maintain composure, "Big talk, boy. Clearly your, mother, back there, has not spanked you enough, or hasn't weaned you off of nursing yet."

Torev's eyes shifted to green suddenly as sparks of energy ignited from his body randomly, "Insult her or call me boy again and a healing tank won't be able to save you." Ginyu's eyes widened slightly as he appeared to gain a hint of Torev's potential power, and he backed up a step.

Torev realized it and pushed the advantage, "Oh look who doesn't need a scouter anymore to detect power levels, or are you just as afraid of the blond hair as your former boss was? You should know by now that I'm capable of much more than that." Ginyu gulped slightly as Torev held his hand out and let a hint of energy flow into it.

"And if you're thinking about taking a trip on the body swap river, know that I'm a hell of a lot faster than you are. Your head will be gone before you can even say the words," Torev claimed.

Ginyu did not doubt him, knowing what he had seen out of Verto before, and he sighed heavily before turning away from Torev, "Well, it seems Lord Frost was not exaggerating about your power, perhaps one day we'll find out if that confidence of yours is with merit or not."

Torev's eyes faded to black as he also turned away, "For your sake, you had best hope not. I'm not against slaughtering a few worthless minions of the past." A noticeably loud eruption of chatter broke into the room at that point as a door on the opposite end opened and the Kihon brothers stepped in. Torev's face scrunched up slightly as the distinct smell of alcohol and general body odor hit him first, before it became obvious that at least one of them was very drunk.

"Speaking of worthless," Torev muttered.

Ginyu also frowned at the display, "It seems we have our work cut out for us."

Torev's eyebrow went back up, "Our?"

"Lord Frost has assigned me to your team as co-captain, we will share the glory or shame of our team's performance as equals. Despite personal differences, Saiyan, I will follow his orders to the best of my ability. And it seems this team of misfits needs a firm hand. Is that agreeable to you?" Ginyu asked.

Torev grimaced, "Ugh, whatever. Although they look like they're right up your alley." The Kihon Corps approached them both, but barely paid any heed to their presence as they continued their drunken banter and laughter.

"Men! Fall in!" Ginyu barked suddenly, which startled them all into at least paying attention. The red brother, Lavare, let out a noticeably loud burp from the left end of the formation, causing the group to erupt into laughter. Ginyu glared at them all, unimpressed, before stepping right up to Lavare, who was a full foot shorter than Ginyu himself was.

"Oh, it's funny is it? Do I look like I'm laughing?" Ginyu asked with the softness of a drill sergeant.

"Come on Captain, we are just enjoying our victory celebration and your return!" Lavare claimed.

"Not to mention our fallen brother, we're honoring him in our time-honored tradition. Come join us!" Sandare declared, the yellow-skinned brother.

"I am not against leisure when the situation calls for it, but none of you have earned that honor with me yet. Clearly your last leader did not instill any discipline in you. A mistake I will rectify from here on," Ginyu said.

Lavare hiccupped loudly, "Our commander was Sorbet, and he allows us as much freedom as we…" He never got to finish the sentence before Ginyu buried his fist into his torso suddenly, causing him to buckle and fall to the ground in pain. A hush fell over the entire room, though the guards that noticed it attempted to pay no mind. Lavare coughed hard as a mixture of blood and booze spilled out of his mouth, giving the air an odd smell.

Ginyu pulled back his fist slowly, "I am not Sorbet, whose power couldn't match up to a flea. It's obvious why you maggots behave in this manner. Well, it is a new day. The Kihon Corps are now a part of my new Ginyu Force, and I always expect the best out of my men! You will not eat, drink, sleep or shit without my say so, and every stinking jumble of words out of your filthy mouths will begin and end with sir! Do you get me?"

Metare, the black-skinned brother stepped forward from the right end and saluted, "Understood, sir!"

Ginyu phased out and backhanded Metare across the face, sending him crashing down to the floor, "Pathetic! You call that a salute? I've seen shaking old men without legs do better! Now get back on your feet and do it properly!"

Metare scrambled to his feet despite the mark on his face and repeated the action, his body much more rigid than before, "Sir, yes sir!"

Ginyu let off a snort of satisfaction, "Better. You must be the elder brother of your siblings. What is your name, soldier?"

Metare didn't drop his arm, "Sir, Metare, and yes I am the eldest, sir!"

Ginyu bent slightly down to look Metare in the eye, "I am told that each of you have various abilities to enhance your combat power. So, tell me, what is yours?"

Metare maintained his stance, "Sir, I can have dominion over metal. It can use it to change my body size and shape, create weapons, and even increase my power and durability exponentially, sir!"

Ginyu looked slightly impressed, "Interesting. I heard you attempted this when fighting against Majin Buu, but it failed spectacularly. So, why would I want you on this team?"

Metare glared at him slightly but maintained composure, "Sir, that was only the lead level of armor I used. I have three more that are much more durable than the previous, but each takes time and effort to deploy. Had Lord Frost not intervened, I would have used them, sir."

Torev took note of this, He has multiple transformations? I'll have to keep my eye on that one.

Ginyu stood up straight and stepped away, "We shall see if you are worth your claims. You, Yellow Man, name and abilities!"

Sandare nervously saluted as sharply as he could, "Sir, I am Sandare. I can control sand, much like my brother Mudare. I can dissolve my body into the ground or change its size and shape, increasing power and durability as needed." Another Ginyu backhand found his face, which resulted in his head bursting from his neck into a spray of sand that splattered all over the floor. The other brothers tensed up momentarily, but not for long as a stream of sand bellowed up from Sandare's neck and reformed into his head.

Ginyu glared daggers into his newly shaped head, "I said that every jumble of words will begin and end with sir. Did you misunderstand that, or do I need to take another head?"

Sandare quickly saluted again, "Sir, no sir!"

Ginyu then stepped away before pointing at the sandpile that used to be Sandare's head, "Make yourself useful and clean up the mess." Sandare quickly nodded and backed up as Ginyu moved on to the white skinned brother.

Torev eyed Sandare as he quickly brushed his sand pile into his hands, where it dissolved. That one is weak, but difficult to kill since he can regenerate. I'd wager that all of them are like that. Fighting any of these guys within their element works to their advantage.

"And you?" Ginyu asked.

"Sir, Lightare, sir! My element is lightning and electricity. In terms of overall power, I am only second to my brother Metare, sir!" The white one said with perfect grace.

Ginyu frowned, "I heard you were not directly involved against the Saiyans and their allies in the last battle. So, where were you assigned?"

"Sir, I was assigned with my brother Lavare in making certain the Western continent was secure. While he dealt with the Renegade Saiyan that landed, I was ensuring the mission's success by capturing the capital, sir," Lightare claimed.

Ginyu looked irritated, "So you abandoned your teammate for the easier battle?"

Lightare's eyes widened, "Sir, no sir! I was following orders, sir!" Ginyu took a moment to process this before nodding his head and moving on to the blue brother, Blizzare. Torev rolled his eyes slightly as Lightare breathed a sigh of relief.

Blizzare kept his arm straight and as stiff as ice as Ginyu approached, "Sir, I am Blizzare, and I am honored to have you as our commander, sir!"

Ginyu appeared to lighten his sternness a bit, "And your abilities?"

"Sir, I can control ice, wind and weather, sir! Also, aside from Lord Frost, I am the only one with a confirmed kill among the Saiyans and their friends, sir!"

Ginyu paused, "And which established warrior did you take out?"

"Sir, Yamcha I believe was his name. He was quite weak, sir!" Blizzare said proudly.

Torev snorted loudly, "Killing that beta-male isn't an accomplishment. Honestly, their weak human mates could have done that." Blizzare's eyes widened in anger as the entire room turned to Torev, but that became fear when Ginyu turned back. Noticeable icicles formed under Blizzare's arms under Ginyu's glare, but he moved on. The last brother, Lavare, was still slightly stunned from Ginyu's earlier attack.

"And you, I suppose your name is Drunkare and your power is drowning others in alcohol?" Ginyu asked snidely.

"Sir, Lavare, sir. I can control heat and fire. I can raise my body temperature as high as molten lava and reshape it into hardened rock as needed, sir!" Lavare said simply.

Ginyu's intense glare increased, "And you battled the Renegade Saiyan that landed and survived the encounter. How?"

"Sir, yes sir! She has elemental ice powers similar to my brother Blizzare, which counters my own to a stalemate. She apparently also has developed…" He didn't get another word out before Ginyu belted him again, putting him on the ground once more.

"Never reveal your weaknesses, even to your allies!" Ginyu shouted at him before he backed up a few steps so he could address everyone at once, "You maggots have potential but lack training, grace, and discipline. So, your first mission is sparring against me so that I can gauge your real combat abilities. You first, Light Bright!"

Lightare stepped forward, "Lightare, sir."

Ginyu's face darkened, "Did you just correct me, boy?"

"Sir, my apologies sir!" Lightare declared as he bowed his head instead.

"I was out conquering planets for the Frieza Force before any of you were even soiling your own diapers, you would do well to remember that!" Ginyu grunted at them.

"I believe you have proven your point, Captain," Frost suddenly said from the throne. Every head in the room jerked towards him and bowed their heads, with the exception of Torev. He himself hadn't detected Frost enter the room either, but was not that surprised by it as Frost had a tendency to hide his energy at random.

"Lord Frost!" Ginyu said with a bow. The other members of the team repeated this action, but not all at once, causing Ginyu to growl slightly.

"That will improve, my lord."

Frost smiled lightly, "I have no doubt of that, Captain. I am glad to see that you are not teaching them dance moves, see that you maintain that. As far as their first missions on this planet, I would rate your assessment as fair. On their own, they are formidable, but vulnerable, but together they truly are unbeatable since their powers compliment and even counter each other's. Well, mostly." The five Kihon brothers remained in their bowing positions, though they all had mixed feelings about Frost's words.

"Yes sir, we were about to begin training for today," Ginyu proclaimed.

Frost nodded, "Yes I heard. I agree that Lightare did not see significant combat as of yet, so I think that he will go first. I will not interfere with your exercises, Captain, they are your team. However, may I make a suggestion?"

"Of course, sir!"

"Lightare should fight against Lord Torev first for a true test," Frost said, glancing at Torev, who merely stared back at him.

Ginyu looked at the clearly annoyed Torev, "Are you sure that is wise, my lord? Torev is the co-captain after all."

Frost shrugged, "That may be, but team unity will depend on the combatants keeping themselves in check at all times. I expect all my soldiers to have discipline and each will be punished accordingly if they do not. Commence the match." Ginyu nodded and motioned for the others to clear the area. Torev maintained a deep scowl before moving out to stand several meters from Lightare.

"I will referee the match. You will continue until one of you submits or is knocked out. No killing blows," Ginyu ordered.

Torev merely folded his arms, "Why not? Let's thin the herd of the worthless peons now."

Lightare growled slightly as his body began to glow, "Don't take me lightly, Saiyan."

Torev chuckled, "I mean it's literally in your name, how could I not? Tell you what, I'll give you the first shot, don't hold back."

"You'll regret those words!" Lightare declared as his body continued to glow, turning bright white. Streams of electricity surrounded him as lightning bolts, and the room began to darken as power was drawn into Lightare's body through the floor. He gathered the power in his palm before aiming at Torev and firing it all at once. The lightning surged right through Torev and struck the wall underneath Frost's throne, ripping into it slightly and doing minor damage. Lightare stopped firing when he thought the attack was successful, only to see Torev's afterimage fade. A golden energy sword ran through his torso just a second later as Torev appeared from behind. Lightare glanced down in surprise as did the rest of the room.

"I said no killing blows!" Ginyu shouted. Lightare grinned as he grabbed the energy sword with his hands, which were now glowing with the rest of him. Torev blinked in disbelief as he let go and glided backwards. Lightare turned bright white along with the sword before his body molded and expanded into a large triangular but erratic shape of light that was pulsing with lightning. At the center of the form, a small pink crystal was revealed, floating along in Lightare's body.

"Behold, I can become pure energy. In this form, physical attacks have no effect on me!" Torev grimaced slightly and fired several small energy blasts at Lightare's form, only to see them hit with no effect. Upon further review though, he could see that his attacks were actually being absorbed by Lightare, which slightly increased the energy he was sensing from him. At the same time though, he could also detect that the energy coming from Lightare himself was entirely Chi energy, but with no obvious special properties except that it was mostly erratic and not well organized. Torev then eyed the pink crystal carefully which he noted was not pulsing with energy. He fired several more small blasts of Ki, only to see them disappear into the mass of white.

"Continue your pointless attacks Saiyan, they are of no use!" Lightare declared.

Torev suddenly smirked, "Most impressive display for a cretin like you. I honestly thought you were about as useful as a flashlight battery. Maybe you could be used for a backup generator or something."

Lightare's form shifted slightly, turning from white to an electric blue, "Big words, but you have yet to defeat me." Lightare's body then shot towards him quickly, though Torev was able to narrowly dodge. An arm of light grew out of Lightare's body and grabbed Torev by the shoulder, sending a jolt of energy into it instantly. The shock stunned Torev enough to cause him to land awkwardly on one knee, where he stayed as he examined his shoulder. It was sore to the touch and the energy had burned through his black body suit enough to reveal reddened skin, but he was otherwise okay.

That wasn't just energy, that was a physical hit. The power to merge his physical body and energy into one along with being able to absorb more makes this guy a problem. So that begs the question, what is his weakness if he's only the second strongest? Torev's eyes narrowed as he eyed the pink crystal within the bright form, and smirked.

The sounds of laughter filled the room from Lightare, "You can't even touch me Saiyan! No one can!"

"Let's test that theory then," Torev said as he phased out. Lightare's form turned to the left just as Torev phased in and punched towards the pink gem. Lightare's body contorted in an odd way and bent so that the gem was pulled out of the way of Torev's fist, and it hit nothing but air.

Torev grinned as Lightare's form glided backwards from him, "Well well. For someone talking so much bravado, you sure run away fast enough. I wonder why?" A clear sound of frustration came from Lightare's form before three arms of light came out, all aiming large bright hands towards Torev. Torev's right fist glowed gold for a moment before he blocked the first one with a straight jab and then ducked under the other two as they swooped in from either side. He phased out again before reappearing along the middle arm of light, landing on it and running straight at Lightare as his golden Ki blade snapped to life in his right hand. Lightare attempted to bring his arms back in to defend himself, but this only resulted in Torev being able to close the gap even faster. One more limb pulsed out of Lightare's body as this happened, but Torev's left arm formed a dim shield of gold energy to block its attack. Torev's sword then went through Lightare's white form, but no blood spilled as there was no obvious damage done.

"As I said, you can't touch me even with your strongest attacks," Lightare claimed with bluster.

Torev smirked as he held up his right hand, "Then what happens if this is removed?" In his hand was the pink gem that had been part of Lightare's form, sparkling slightly from the energy output. Lightare gasped as his form suddenly pulsed and contorted until it faded back into his physical form. When his body became its normal self, there were a noticeable hole in the torso of his armor, likely where the gem had been. He began gagging like he was being choked and collapsed with a true expression of panic. His brothers moved to come to his aid, but were motioned back by Ginyu who kept an intense glare locked on Torev.

Torev took note of this and held the gem up to look at it, "Like he said, don't reveal your weaknesses. You're pathetic, I should just end you now and save everyone the trouble."

"Give it back!" Metare shouted in terror.

"His life depends on that gem!" Sandare claimed.

Torev smiled wickedly as he clasped his hand around the gem, "Oh really now? Does that mean all of you have the same weakness embedded in your bodies? This will be all too easy." Lightare continued choking on his air as he reached for his gem that Torev threatened to crush, unable to do anything.

"Ahem, Lord Torev," Frost suddenly said from his throne. Everyone except Lightare looked up at him, though in Torev's case it was a clear, piercing, glare.

"I believe the rule was no killing. Let him live," Frost ordered. Next to Frost, Sorbet now stood, with fearful eyes locked on Torev. Torev's eyes darkened as his aura showed a brief hint of dark purple for a moment before he finally let up and dropped the gem. It bounced off Lightare's body and landed just out of reach of his struggling hand. Torev then folded his arms and let his energy fade before stepping away. Lightare's brothers were quick to run to his aid and help him, with one of them carefully placing the gem back into his body. Lightare's breathing attempts finally seemed to work and he sat up with his brothers crowded around him.

"I'll get you for that, Saiyan!" Lightare declared as soon as he was able to get to his knees.

Torev snorted as he simply walked away, "You'll try. I don't recommend it." He then walked towards the large exit of the building, with no one daring to stop him.

He glanced at his hands briefly, The demon energy almost surged out of control on its own when I was tempted to kill him. Looks like I need more mental training to keep it under control. I wonder if that's a side effect. Makes sense, if he couldn't keep it under wraps on a good day, I can't expect to fully wield it already. But unlike him, I was made for this power. Hopefully that's a sign of a dormant source of power already forming, if Kaon is right about this.

"Get back here!" Lightare shouted as he got to his feet. Torev ignored him completely and walked out of the base before taking off into the air.

"We'll take him together!" Blizzare added as the other brothers tensed up in agreement.

"Let him go," Ginyu commanded.

"But Captain…" Blizzare argued.

The veins in Ginyu's head threatened to pop, "But nothing! Be thankful he stopped when he did. None of you have shown me that you could have done anything. Light Bright, go and recover. The rest of you are to remain here and take turns sparring with me!" The Kihon brothers grunted randomly but complied. Up on the throne, Frost took notice of everyone's behavior, especially Torev's.

Sorbet sighed with uneasiness, "Are you sure that he is our ally, my lord?"

Frost glanced over at his subordinate, "Well, all pets need a leash. However, that one is clearly still feral. We'll just have to tame it more carefully. It's not my first time dealing with a rabid Saiyan after all."

Sorbet gulped nervously, "But can he be tamed?"

Frost chuckled, "Doubtful, at least not by us. Fortunately, the witch is taking care of that problem. See that our soldiers stay out of his way, for now. As you know, angering him is not in their best interest."

Sorbet nodded, "And if she cannot?"

Frost smiled, "An inevitable problem in the future, Commander. And part of the reason for your next project."

"Sir?" Sorbet asked.

"As you know, I was saved by transfusions of Saiyan blood when I was younger, some of it very potent. I have long recovered from that and grown in power, but I have reached a ceiling in that power, one that I have been unable to break through. I have not required monkey blood again since, but have occasionally indulged to test my limits, with little success. I want you to find out why I cannot further myself and see if it is tied to my rather unique genetics," Frost explained.

Sorbet was perplexed, "But my lord, you are the strongest being in the universe!"

Frost scowled, "There are always bigger fish, Sorbet. My recent battles are proof of that. And if there is a possibility that Lord Torev, or anyone else for that matter, can eclipse my power, then all of this will be fruitless. He is roughly equal with Son Gohan, and we both have witnessed his counterpart break through his own power limits. Work with Major Buro and Doctor Wheelo on this collaboration."

"But sir, wouldn't the doctor use this as a way to undermine us?" Sorbet asked.

"Possibly, but this alliance needs to stay together as long as possible, Commander, even if that means giving our future enemies an upper hand. Everyone, even Lord Torev, understands that. Besides, that is exactly the reason why young Kati is going to work with her father and report to me. See that you control any potential…roadblocks to that mission," Frost ordered.

Sorbet smiled and nodded, "Yes, my lord."
