Chapter 1
The day had ended for the students at St Joseph's high school in the city Madison South Dakota; all but five students had left. The five in question had to remained behind to clean up the school garden as chosen for their after school detention. Their names were James Porter, Jack Barrie, Melody Nunez, Jessie Fae and Leo Toretto. James was sixteen years of age with black hair and blue eyes; he wore a pair of black jeans, a dark red t-shirt and a sleeveless black vest, his reason for having detention was for being got skipping science and French classes. Jack was a fifteen year old with green eyes and light red hair, he wore a pair of blue jeans a white shirt and green hoodie, and he was in detention for setting off a stink bomb in the cafeteria. Melody was a girl of sixteen with shoulder length brown hair and sea blue eyes, she wore a pair of blue shorts and a white-blue stripped shirt, her reason for detention was refusing to swim in gym class…due do her phobia of water. Jessie was Seventeen and had long black hair with various streaks of Purple and dark blue and brown eyes, she wore a pair of dark blue pants with a black skull t-shirt and dark brown leather vest, she had detention for fighting in the hallway…in defence of several younger students. Leo was and sixteen year old with brown hair and eyes, he wore a red t-shirt and a pair of blue trousers, his reason for being in detention was arriving late for school too often. "Ugh" said James as he pulled several weeds out of the flower bed "how much longer do we have to waste our time with this?" he complained. "Just a few more minutes" said Jessie "and it would go a lot quicker if you quit whining." Suddenly the sky began to turn black as Thunder began to rumble. "What the…it didn't say anything about a storm today" said Melody when the five suddenly disappeared in multi-coloured flashes of light. Unknown to them however they had been watched by a black Raven who stared at the scene of the disappearance with intelligent eyes before spreading its wings and flying over the mountains to a hidden ruined fortress…covered in black vines. Within the throne room it landed atop the arm of the throne where a dark silhouette sat. "So the old fool has found some new…toys has he" whispered the Raven's mistress with an amused smirk "no matter they have no idea what is upon them". She raised the staff in her hand and from it thousands of dark balls of light began to swirl around her. She eyed each one before finally settling on one "Honest John" she said as the lights save one returned to her staff "you'll make a fine start". She pointed the staff at the light and from it dark purple lightning casting an ominous light in the room and when it faded standing in the centre of the room was a monster resembling a fox wearing a ragged suit with a top hat holding a cane. "I am Confox" the creature declared dropping to his knee "I am at your command Maleficent" he decreed as the mistress of all evil smiled darkly. Meanwhile the five teenagers found themselves in what appeared to be a kind of study with books adjourning the walls. "What just happened? "Asked Jack as he looked out the window and saw that they were in some kind of tower. "Greetings" said a voice and they all turned to see a man wearing long blue robes and a long grey beard sitting at a desk. "I am Yen Sid and your world is in terrible danger" he declared gravely.
